We're turning back the clock and looking at the school dance prep that Buttercup had to go through. Now, she's a tomboy, we all know that, so she's not going to like where this is going, but if we know how hard she's fallen for Ricardo, then we know how this is gonna end up.

Let The Buttercup Bloom
Cody and Bubbles kissed each other once more, and they were oblivious to everything else at the moment.
Overall, for the pair, it was happily-ever-after.
However, there was another girl, in the bathroom, who was sort of embarrassed about her journey there.
Buttercup, in the bathroom, was looking at herself in the mirror, seeing that she was a feminine belle, albeit she was not so much embarrassed about what she was wearing, but more of how she ended up in the clothing she was in…
"How did this happen to me…?" Buttercup said, feeling upset.
~Rewind – One Week Ago~
Ricardo was walking through the hallways, with something behind his back, and an unreadable glint in his eyes that gave a hint that he was about to try something a little on the bold side.
"Now, where is she…?" Ricardo asked, as if he were looking for someone.
"Okay, I'll catch up later," A familiar voice said; it was Buttercup. "I'll meet you in class."
Ricardo looked in the direction of Buttercup's voice, and seeing her smoke-blue hair, green eyes, and athletic figure, red hearts were immediately fluttering around Ricardo's head.
"Ah, ma belle garçonne (ah, my beautiful tomboy)!" Ricardo said, in French, as he saw Buttercup. Ricardo took out a bottle of cologne, spritz it on his neck once, and then put it away. He did a breath check, and he soon dashed over to Buttercup.
Buttercup was at her locker, gathering her materials for her next class; she was not really focusing on anything else, but the thought of the upcoming school dance was in the back of her mind.
'Don't get sentimental over some stupid dance, Buttercup! Not like you're going to even GO to the dance, anyway…' Buttercup thought, trying to put the idea out of her mind.
"Well, that's everything I need," Buttercup said. "Time for me to get a move on to my next class."
Buttercup shut the door to her locker, and behind her locker door was Ricardo.
"Hey, Buttercup," Ricardo said, suavely; he had his hand on the locker next to Buttercup's, a suave look in his eyes, and he was looking at Buttercup in expectance of something. "How's my green-eyed sports-gal doing?"
"I'm fine, Ricardo," Buttercup said, red in the face, while trying to act indifferent to the comment. "What is it?"
Ricardo took out a breath mint, popped it into his mouth, and after he swallowed it, he blew a kiss, as well as a little bit of his minty breath into Buttercup's face; she blushed at this, but tried to remain calm and collected, while trying to also ignore the smell of the mint. For some reason, strong mint smells bothered her nose.
"The school dance is coming up," Ricardo said. "I'm hoping that it becomes the most romantic night ever next week."
"Me too…" Buttercup said, trying to keep her cool once again. "I wonder how the girls are doing? Sure, they're going to be all romantic with their boys, but… Ew…"
"What about you and me?" Ricardo asked, as he took out a bunch of flowers that he bought for Buttercup.
Buttercup looked at the flowers in surprise; they were her namesake flower, the buttercup. Buttercup looked at Ricardo with wide eyes, and she blinked in mild shock.
"Are you serious?" Buttercup said, as she tried to keep her cool. "I can't stand the romantic ambiance that's going to be there. You know me better."
"That's true," Ricardo said. "But if you don't go to the dance alone, you won't be a seventh wheel."
"You're probably right…" Buttercup said, still trying to keep cool without melting under Ricardo's romantic side.
"So, how about you and I go to the dance together?" Ricardo asked, wiggling his eyebrows to drive the point.
Buttercup went red in the face; she swallowed a lump in her throat, and she said, "N-Naturally…"
"All right!" Ricardo said, as he kissed Buttercup on the cheek.
Buttercup's face went darker as Ricardo left, leaving the bouquet of flowers in her hands.
Buttercup soon met up with her friends in the classroom, holding the buttercups in her hand, while having a red, indifferent face.
Bridgette, Blossom, and Bubbles were at their usual table with each other, and they were talking about the upcoming dance.
"Yeah, Luke asked me straight up. He didn't use an gimmicks or anything like that," Blossom said, as she was blushing. "I naturally said yes."
Blossom was in dreamland, hearts fluttering around her at that point, and she was drooling on one side.
"Josh took a hint from Pepé Le Pew and asked me to the dance by dousing himself in a good cologne and swooning me…" Bridgette said, before going into a bit of a flashback.
~Flashback – Around Forty-Five Minutes Ago~
Bridgette was looking in her baking magazines for new ideas and designs for her cake. She turned the page, and she said, "A black and white cake, huh? I've never done that before, and I need the practice…"
She kept looking through her magazine, when…
"What's that smell?" Bridgette said aloud, as she started to breath in some sort of scent. "Smells like… Oranges… And vanilla. A lot of oranges and vanilla…"
Out of nowhere, Josh leaped onto Bridgette and hugged her from her sides; his arms were around her very tightly, and he was not about to let go. He started smooching Bridgette on the cheek a few times, landed a peck near her lips, and he kept going over and over.
"Ah, mon amour," Josh said, as he stroked Bridgette's head with love in his eyes. "The angels have connected our hearts once again."
Bridgette took another breath, and she deduced Josh was wearing cologne that had orange and vanilla as the primary scent.
"Josh, are you wearing cologne?" Bridgette asked, but she just got another kiss on the cheek as a response.
"Yes, my love." Josh said, as he gave Bridgette another kiss on the cheek.
Bridgette blushed a little bit, propped one of her feet up, and looked at Josh with sultry eyes.
"The orange and vanilla cologne is a really nice combination," Bridgette said. "Loving it."
"As much as I love you," Josh said, as he took out some pink roses that he had gotten for Bridgette; he also got down on one knee, as if he was going to propose to Bridgette. "Like strawberries with chocolate, or peanut butter with jelly, will you come with me to the school dance?"
Bridgette stood Josh up before kissing him on the cheek, and taking the roses. Josh went red in the face, and he held one of his hands to his cheek, and he had a goofy lovesick smile.
"You got yourself a date, Josh," Bridgette said, with a wink. "Can't wait to see you in your tux."
Josh's face soon changed from lovesick to worried sick. He blinked a few times before saying, "Wait, did you say 'tux'?"
"Yes, I said 'tux'," Bridgette said. "This is a formal dance. Don't you have your tux yet?"
"Um… I… I'll get back to you on that." Josh said, as he swallowed a lump in his throat.
~End of Flashback~
"After that, Josh bolted," Bridgette said. "He doesn't have a tuxedo yet, but he had better get one by the end of the week."
"He actually asked you out in that manner?" Bubbles inquired. "Cody would just use the direct approach."
"Hey, girls…" Buttercup said; she sat down next to Bridgette and put the buttercups on the table.
"Did Ricardo give you those?" Blossom asked.
"Sure did," Buttercup said, with no change in expression. "He asked me to the dance; I said yes."
"I thought you weren't into this kind of thing," Bridgette said. "I'm surprised that you did; after all…"
Just as Bridgette was about to keep going, the bell for class went off; the girls went back to their desks, much to Bridgette's annoyance.
The class went off without a hitch for the rest of the day, but the boys were gathered up, in another part of the hallway, trying to talk about the dance.
"How'd you ask Blossom to the dance, Luke?" Cody asked. "I haven't asked Bubbles quite yet; I want to make sure that it's meaningful."
"I just asked her directly, and she said yes." Luke answered casually, as he shut his locker door.
"Hey, guys." Ricardo said, as he approached his friends.
"Ricardo, hey," Cody said. "How did you ask Buttercup to the school dance?"
"I gave her buttercups and asked her that way," Ricardo said, with a shrug. "How about you, Cody?"
"I haven't asked Bubbles, yet," Cody said. "But I'm going to go and ask her now."
Cody walked off to see Bubbles, and he was ready to ask her out to the school dance; he was confident that she would say 'yes'.
Back with the girls, Buttercup was working on her classwork, trying not to think about the dance, but for some reason, her mind kept drifting back to it. She had no idea why.
"Hey, Blossom," Buttercup asked, after class was over; it was the last class period of the day, so they had no more classes to worry about. "How… How are you feeling about the dance?"
"I'm so excited!" Blossom said, as hearts began fluttering around her head. "I can't wait to see Luke in a tuxedo!"
"T-Tux…" Buttercup said, choking on her breath.
"And I'm so pumped about the dress I'm going to wear!" Blossom said, as she spun around happily, and giggled.
"D-Dress…?!" Buttercup said, as she was sure she had heard incorrectly.
"I'm excited to see what kind of outfit you come up with, Buttercup," Blossom said. "I'll see you later; I hope to see you in a nice dress for once!"
Blossom started to skip off, happy that she was in such a happy romance with Luke.
"D-Dress… Tux…?!" Buttercup said, as she started to stagger and move around a little bit.
"As I was saying earlier, Buttercup," Bridgette said, as she approached. "I'm surprised you answered 'yes' to Ricardo for this dance. It is, in fact, a formal event."
"F-Formal?!" Buttercup said, as she choked on her breath again.
"Didn't you read the fliers?" Bridgette asked, as her body language told Buttercup that she was surprised and annoyed with her. "You can't go to this dance in your usual attire, Buttercup. You gotta go…"
However, Buttercup and Bridgette's belts started going off; they looked at one another and nodded once to each other. They bolted out of the classroom, with Bubbles and Blossom in tow.
The girls ran up to the rooftop and decided to transform.
Luke, and Ricardo's belt buckles looked at each other before shaking their heads; they thought that the girls were going to be able to handle what was happening.
"Let's let the girls handle it," Luke said. "They know what they're doing."
"Good idea…" Ricardo said, as he looked out the window.
"Ready, girls?" Blossom asked, as she took out her compact.
"Hyper Blossom!"
Blossom then put her compact back into her belt and then it started releasing red energy hearts. She was then in a red leotard, and used her hands to form the flaps of her vest. She then opened up her arms and the vest appeared. She then put her hands under her belt and the skirt formed. Her feet were then put together to form the shoes, she spun around twice to form the earrings and choker and then she posed by putting one arm up, the other one down, and then flexing her legs.
"Rolling Bubbles!"
Bubbles put her bent arms over her head, where her ring formed. She put one finger on her cheek while opening up her compact. She put the compact back into the belt and then it started showering her with blue bubbles. When she got into her blue leotard, she snapped her fingers to form the vest. Once it materialized, she danced a little bit before forming her skirt underneath. She then made peace signs with her fingers to form the gloves, the earrings and choker formed, and then she got on her knees with her arms in the air.
"Powered Buttercup!"
Buttercup put her fists in the air and then opened the compact. She then put it back into her belt and green stars then swirled around her. When she got into her leotard, she swiped her hands under her arms and formed the vest. She then punched the air and did a few arm poses before forming the skirt. She then kicked her feet into the air to form her shoes and then she punched the air to form her pose after her choker and earrings formed.
"Feminine Bridgette!"
Bridgette held up her compact close to her chin, she winked, and then opened it.
She swiped her hand with a ring on it over the compact, and then put the compact back in its belt. It started releasing light pink swords as she then started wearing a light pink leotard. She crossed her arms and snapped her fingers, forming the vest, and then punched the air beside her, causing the light to disappear and for the light pink vest to stay. She then put her hands below her torso and snapped her fingers again, forming the skirt. She then clapped her hands to form the fingerless gloves, pretended to slit her throat to form the chocker, patted her ear lobes to form the earrings, and then her hair started flying up above her before magically forming a French Braid, much to her dismay, and then she posed with a hand on her hip, her other hand on her face, a wink, and her foot propped up.
The quartet then did a miniature dance sequence and then they made a group pose.
"PowerPuff Girls Z!"
"Let's see what pest is in town today." Blossom said, as she opened up the compact.
"Here we go again; that idiot of a monkey is up to his old tricks." Bridgette said, rolling her eyes, and holding up a balled fist.
"We're not going to take him down by standing around like this," Blossom said. "Let's go."
The girls flew off in formation to go and stop the trouble.
"So what's Mojo doing today?" Bubbles asked, as she tried to get closer to Blossom.
"He's going around, causing problems all around the dress stores and everything. Must remind him of Ms. Keane." Blossom explained.
"What does Ms. Keane have to do with this mess Mojo is causing?" Bridgette asked, cocking an eyebrow.
"Mojo has had a crush on Ms. Keane for a long time." Bubbles explained.
"And how does Ms. Keane take this?" Bridgette asked.
"She doesn't even seem to notice, and she doesn't seem to know Mojo's evil." Buttercup said.
"Is she that oblivious?" Bridgette inquired.
"Either that or…" Bubbles began, but…
"Heads' up, girls; mutated monkey at three o'clock!" Blossom shouted, pointing Mojo out at the next dress shop.
"Dresses, dresses, dresses! I hate dresses! It reminds me too much of the woman who broke my heart and didn't even care!" Mojo shouted, as he was throwing dresses around, tearing them to shreds, and breaking windows.
"This isn't funny, Mojo!" Bubbles shouted, tears streaming from her eyes. "How can you treat innocent fabric so cruelly?!"
"Forget it, Bubbles," Bridgette said, taking out her swords. "Let's cream this simian!"
"Let's go!" Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup shouted, as the girls flew in and started to beat Mojo up.
Bridgette slashed one of her swords on to one of Mojo's robot's legs; Bubbles captured Mojo himself in a bubble; Buttercup and Blossom combined their yo-yo and hammer attacks and knocked Mojo far, far away.
"That was easy." Bridgette said, as she crossed her arms.
"Let's hurry and get back home," Blossom said. "We have a dance to get ready for and we each need to prepare our outfits."
The girls all went their separate ways for the day so they could get ready for the upcoming dance.
As Buttercup was flying home, she soon saw the boys down at the basketball court, playing a game of basketball.
Josh was falling on his face over and over again; he kept missing the balls, and tripping over his feet.
Luke and Cody were doing really well, and they were shooting baskets over and over again, while Ricardo did his best to steal the ball away from his friends. Ricardo was successful on several accounts, and he soon did a slam-dunk with the ball.
Buttercup's eyes became hearts and miniature hearts started flying around her head.
Ricardo let the ball bounce; he stretched his arms over his head while stretching his fingers and cracking his knuckles. His underarms were all wet from the sweat he had broken.
"Whew! What a workout," Ricardo said, as he kept breathing heavily. "Better take this shirt off."
"Out in the open?" Josh asked, as he was on his knees, breathing heavily. "Isn't that a recipe for being a girl-magnet?"
"No one else is here," Ricardo said, as he took his shirt off. "What's the problem?"
Buttercup's eyes went wide as she saw how well toned Ricardo still was.
Ricardo shook his head to shake off the sweat, and he looked he was shinning from the moisture that was on his body.
Buttercup soon started to imagine herself and Ricardo on the beach with each other, playing in the water. Ricardo was wearing his swim trunks, and Buttercup was in a green, one-piece swimsuit.
However, Buttercup shook her head and snapped herself out of her daze; she tried her best to try and stay focused.
Buttercup then said, "There's no time for this! I gotta get ready for the dance!"
Buttercup flew off to her house in a panic.
Buttercup was later in her bedroom, trying to find the right outfit, but all she could find were shorts, T-Shirts, and everything that was casual; nothing even came close to formal.
"Man! I don't have anything in here!" Buttercup complained, as she tried to figure something out with her outfit for the dance.
She had nothing that was formal in her closet; she literally cleared it out in one fell swoop.
"How am I supposed to go to the dance without the right outfit…?!" Buttercup asked aloud, not liking where the situation was going.
She soon looked to her phone and had a thought in her head; she decided to call her friends. Buttercup took the phone into her hand and did a chain call to Bridgette, Bubbles, and Blossom.
"Hey, Buttercup," Blossom said, as she picked up the phone; she was looking at her jewelry to decide which set to wear for the dance. "What's the problem?"
"Buttercup, are you okay?" Bridgette asked, also over the phone; she was making homemade Neapolitan ice cream for herself and her father, and she had just put the chocolate layer into the ice cream machine.
"Is there something you need?" Bubbles asked, also over the phone; she was trying to decide which of the dresses to wear for the dances.
"Can you girls help me out?" Buttercup asked. "I… Need some fashion advice."
"Let me guess: you only have athletic, casual clothing, and nothing fancy or formal for the dance?" Bridgette asked, as she was preparing the strawberry layer of ice cream.
"You hit the bull's eye like Ricardo's archery…" Buttercup said, serious, but she soon faded into a romantic vocal tone.
"Don't worry, we'll help," Bubbles said, as she put away one of her blue dresses, while still on the phone. "Maybe it will take my mind off of Cody; he has been acting a bit weird."
"Maybe he's just nervous," Blossom said, as she also put her jewelry, and still on the phone. "I'll help, too; it can distract me from the dance. Dexter tried asking me to the dance again, but as soon as I saw Luke, I ran over to him."
"Again?" Buttercup asked; lately, Dexter had been giving Blossom a bit of grief.
"Changing the subject back to Buttercup; I'll help out, as well, but I gotta finish this Neapolitan ice cream, first," Bridgette said, as she finished making the strawberry ice cream base; she had put her phone on speaker and put it down. "Mind if we meet you at a dress shop in a few hours?"
"Thanks," Buttercup said. "See you in a few hours."
The girls hung up their phones.
Around a few hours later, the girls met up with each other at one of the best dress shops in the city. It was not 'Pink Jaguar', because they thought it reminded them too much of their encounters with Sedusa.
"Ready for our little dress-up contest, girls?" Blossom asked, as Buttercup was in the dressing room. "We'll see who picked out the best dress for Buttercup to wear!"
"Could you stop turning this into a competition, please?" Buttercup asked, from inside the fitting room; she was not happy.
"Sorry…" Blossom said, as she draped the first dress over the top of the wall; Buttercup took it and tried it on.
After about five minutes, which were full of grouses and complaints, Buttercup opened the curtain to reveal the outfit.
The dress was a sleeveless, sweetheart neckline, lime green dress with diamonds embroidering from the torso up. The skirt itself was short, a few inches above Buttercup's knees.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Blossom asked.
"No!" Buttercup protested. "It looks like something some kind of model would wear! And I am NO model!"
"That and there's the dress code to consider; there are some violations in that dress, mostly the fact there's no sleeves…" Bridgette said. "So I think we can rule this one out."
"I agree!" Buttercup said, as she shut the curtain again.
"My turn." Bubbles said, giving Buttercup the next dress.
After the next five minutes, Buttercup opened the curtain again, this time wearing a green dress that was also sleeveless. It was another sweetheart neckline dress that showed off her back, and it was a forest green color. The dress itself was a long dress and there was a split up the leg that was very close to her waist. There was a diamond necklace that came with the dress, as part of the package.
"Ooh… Definitely not a dress for high school students…" Blossom said; she turned away and closed one eye.
"No kidding!" Buttercup complained, a vein throbbing in her forehead, her shoulders up, and her fists down; she was not happy.
"This looks more like something a princess in her early twenties would wear…" Bridgette said, shaking her head.
"Okay, scrap this one!" Buttercup said, shutting the curtain again.
The dress Bridgette picked out was almost something out of Princess Tiana's wedding dress from Bridgette's favorite movie, Disney's "The Princess And The Frog".
The dress was very poofy, and it had a layer of light green fabric, and dark green fabric underneath. Buttercup was not wearing the gloves, and once again, the dress did not have any straps or sleeves.
"Seriously, Bridgette?" Buttercup said, slapping herself in the face. "Are you kidding me?"
"Sorry…" Bridgette said. "I just thought you'd look good in that…"
"Well, I don't! And I hate this one!" Buttercup said, as she shut the curtain again.
"That was a failure," Bridgette said. "Next round of dresses?"
"Next round." Bubbles and Blossom said together.
Buttercup groaned from inside the dressing room. The girls looked at each other before nodding.
Meanwhile, Ricardo was at one of the tux rental stores with the other boys, but they were not really having much luck.
"This is crazy…" Luke said, as he looked through the black tuxedos. "There's nothing but black and white tuxes in here…"
"Nothing in silver, nothing in yellow…" Ricardo said, as he tried looking around the tuxes.
"Man… No… No… NO!" Josh shouted, as he was throwing black tuxedos behind him, in a frantic frenzy.
"Josh, calm down." Ricardo said, as he held Josh back from the tux rack.
"Where's Cody?" Luke said.
"He's sort of panicked for some reason today," Josh said, as he calmed down. "He dashed into one of the dressing rooms again."
"He just takes a tux and dashes?" Luke asked.
"That's what I've seen…" Ricardo said, as he took a step forward. "I'm trying to keep my cool, too… I've been looking for a silver tuxedo for ages, but I've found nothing in here."
"Wanna try elsewhere?" Josh asked, rather loudly; Cody dashed out of the changing room and met up with his friends.
"Sorry about that, guys…" Cody said, in a minor panic; he was breathing rather heavily.
"Ready to try somewhere else?" Luke asked.
"I am," Cody said. "Let's go."
"I wonder how Buttercup is doing with the dresses…" Ricardo said, as he looked up to the ceiling.
Back with the girls, Buttercup had come out of the fitting room in another dress; Blossom had once again picked out the dress.
This dress was a dark green color that had a slimming effect on Buttercup's legs; the dress's skirt soon widened at the feet. The dress was a sweetheart neckline, it had one strap on it, and the front of the dress was embroidered with white diamond beads.
"This one is okay, but… I don't know, it's just too feminine for me." Buttercup said, as her skin started to crawl.
"I'm with Buttercup; the dress doesn't reflect her personality. That, and once again, there's the dress code, because one of her shoulders is bare." Bubbles said, pointing out one of the key issues with the dress.
"Next one?" Blossom asked.
"Right." Bubbles said, as she gave Buttercup the next dress.
The dress Buttercup was wearing this time was very cut-and-dry; the dress itself was simple without any lace, frills, or any other decorations on the dress. However, the dress was also a Grecian neckline with a necklace on it.
"That's too simple; it's more on the casual end." Blossom said.
"That, and it's just… Bland." Buttercup said, as she once again shut the curtain.
"Maybe this next one I picked out would be Buttercup's speed…" Bridgette said, as she tossed the next dress over the wall.
Buttercup came out of the dressing room, and this dress was satisfactory. It was a green cocktail dress with a halter neckline and a ruffled skirt. The back was covered, there were straps, and there was a lime green sash on the belt, with a large bow in the back. There was a trail of transparent fabric in the back, which looked like a cape. The neckline had green, faux emeralds embroidering it, and Buttercup was looking good.
"This one is passable for me," Buttercup said. "Nice choice, Bridgette."
"Thanks," Bridgette said. "I thought you might like this one."
"You thought right." Buttercup said, as she looked at herself in the mirror.
"I wonder how the boys are doing?" Blossom asked aloud, changing the subject.
Back with Ricardo, he and the boys were at one of the florists, looking for the right flowers to give to the girls as corsages.
Josh was humming to the tune of "Luna Love", which was one of the songs he had sung for Bridgette before he had finally won her over.
"I'm getting Bubbles a white rose," Cody said to Josh, who was struggling. "Because she's so innocent and sweet, which is what white symbolizes in roses."
"Nice to see you've gotten your flower for Bubbles, but what about me?!" Josh said, in a panic, as he looked around for the right flower to give to Bridgette.
"What is Bridgette to you?" Luke asked, as he was overhearing Josh's plight.
"Bridgette… She's my first love, and the girl I want to be in my arms forever," Josh said, as his face turned red with romance in his eyes, and he imagined himself and Bridgette as the bride and groom in a wedding. "I love her…"
"How about an Azalea?" Luke recommended, as he pointed out the azaleas in one of the baskets.
"Hey, great thinking, Luke! And they're Bridgette's favorite color, too!" Cody said, as he gave Luke a high-five.
"Perfect!" Josh said, as he took the azaleas. "But… Why this flower?"
"In the language of flowers…" Ricardo said, as he looked it up on his iPhone. "Azaleas mean 'first love', and that's what Bridgette is to you: your first love."
"That's even more perfect!" Josh said, smiling; he got a few azaleas and he decided to go to the register.
"Now that Josh's corsage conundrum is solved…" Ricardo said, as he kept looking around at the flowers. "I'm not so sure about myself…"
"How about this?" Luke said, as he indicated lilies.
"Lilies would be perfect for Buttercup!" Ricardo said, as he grabbed one of the lilies. "Roses are too… Um… classic? And Buttercup's not the classic type."
"What? Are you saying roses are cheesy?" Cody asked, with a cocked eyebrow, and a smirk; he was aware that Ricardo was being smart about his choice of flower, so he decided to joke a little bit.
"No, I'm not! Roses just aren't Buttercup's style, that's all I'm saying." Ricardo said, as he defended himself.
"Chill out, Ricardo, I'm only kidding around." Cody said, with a chuckle.
"Good; now, let's pay up and get to the girls," Luke said. "We want to be ready for the dance, right?"
"Luke you haven't gotten your flower for Blossom, yet." Cody said.
"Oops." Luke said, with a blush and a chuckle.
"I got a white rose for Bubbles, so why not a red rose for Blossom?" Cody recommended, as she plucked a thorn less, red rose from one of the buckets.
"Great idea!" Luke said; the four boys went to the register to pay for the flowers.
~Fast-Forward To The Day Of The Dance – Four Hours Prior~
The girls were at Bubbles' house, getting ready for the big dance.
"This dress is going to go perfectly with everything else I've picked out," Blossom said, as she was trying on her dress for the dance. "What about you, Bridgette?"
"I'm just going with my instincts," Bridgette said. "And you all know that when it comes to my instincts…"
"To trust them." Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup said, as they all nodded and laughed.
"But WHY do I have to get my hair done?!" Buttercup complained, while still holding still.
"Buttercup, if you talk, I could end up burning you." Bubbles said, trying to calm Buttercup down.
Bubbles was trying to flat-iron Buttercup's hair to make sure it looked nice for the dance.
"Alright, fine… But this is going too far!" Buttercup groused; she was not happy about her hair having to be done.
Back with the boys, they were all at Cody's house; they were putting on their tuxedoes for the dance, and they were all ready to get dancing with the girls.
"Josh, calm down; you'll be fine." Luke said.
"Yeah," Cody said. "I managed to get those three pesky boys off my back."
"All because you doused yourself in White Z Rays, Cody." Ricardo said, as he was holding on to the corsage he had for Buttercup.
"Ehehehehe…" Cody said, with a sweat drop.
"I can't wait to give this to Buttercup," Ricardo said, as he was looking at the lily. "It's going to be great!"
"I'll bet she's going to be all gussied up, but she's not liking it at all." Luke said, with a chuckle.
Josh, on the other hand, was freaking out about the dance; he was smoothing out his hair over and over again; he had already quadruple-checked his deodorant, and his breath. He was practicing his lines for when he was to greet Bridgette.
"Josh, chill out." Cody said.
Josh sweat dropped, as he was not sure how to respond to his friends.
Later at the dance, the boys were all waiting at the punch bowl for their girls, and they were all a little uptight and nervous about the whole thing.
Some rather unwelcome guests were at the dance as well: the three boys that were giving Cody problems, Randy, and even Dexter.
"Here come the girls!" Luke said, as he pointed out the girls.
In came Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Bridgette, all looking beautiful in their dresses.
Blossom was wearing a red dress with a long-sleeved, sweetheart neckline. The fabric was layered to look like a cascade, and it was adorned with clear rhinestones. Her hair was also in its usual style. She was wearing ruby-encrusted, silver jewelry that she borrowed from Bubbles.
Bubbles was wearing a baby blue version of the dress Disney's Belle wore during her romantic dance with the Beast. However, this dress had an illusion neckline, instead. The other major difference was that she was wearing her hair in its usual pigtails, only with sparkles that was in the hair gel. She was also wearing a blue necklace that Cody had gotten for her.
Bridgette was wearing a pale pink ballroom gown with a Queen Anne neckline that was shorter on one leg and around a foot longer on her other leg. There was a large, pink bow on the back of her dress, and the entire dress was adorned with pink diamonds.
Buttercup was wearing the dress that was selected by her friends, plus green kitten-heel shoes, and a bit of red makeup to bring out her green eyes.
"I'm going into the bathroom…" Buttercup said, as she turned away from her friends.
