Chapter 26! Wow this story is getting LONG! :)
Present Day- 19th January 2014
Ally's POV:
I sat on Austin's passenger seat as he sped through the highway with his dark blue Ferarri. "Austin, you just missed the ice cream place!" I noticed as he continued to drive. I saw a sly, sweet smile emerge on his face.
"I know," he said grinning like a Cheshire cat.
"Austin, where are you taking me?" I giggled as I shoved him lightly.
"Somewhere special," he said grinning.
"Dez and Trish are going to get concerned. They wanted ice cream for movie night!" I said giggling. This week off has really had a fun start. It's a good thing we've taken a week off; I can see that Austin is still not over what happened. I mean, how can he? It must be extremely traumatic and scary. I would be having constant nightmares!
"Hey, can't I just have quality time with my girlfriend?" I grinned. It's the first time he's actually called me his 'girlfriend'. It just sounded so sweet when he said it. It made me feel happy and warm inside- like I had someone that I will always love and trust. He pulled over to a pancake store. "Well this is it!" He said grinning happily as he stared at the run down 'All You Can Eat Pancakes!' sign.
"Umm, so are we picking up pancakes for Dez and Trish?" I asked still a bit confused about the whole 'pancakes' restaurant.
"We can, but I thought I might share a thoughtful memory about this place as well…" He began.
"Ah, so there's a sweet memory behind this. Tell me! Tell me!" I began, realizing that I just sounded like a six-year-old.
He chuckled. "So when I was a kid, I was obsessed with pancakes!"
"And you still are…" I finished.
"Yeah, anyways, my mom always made pancakes at home, but they were never as good as this place. Every time my dad would come back after an assignment, he would take me here. I would have pancakes and we would bond. And every time we came here, the woman knew me so well. She used to know the exact order I wanted: plain fluffy pancakes with butter and maple syrup."
This story is just too cute! Can't you just imagine little Austin coming to this pancake restaurant and ordering a bunch of pancakes. He stares at them with his excited little hazel eyes dreaming and wondering about what they taste like. Then, he finally takes a bite.
"They used to make us color with these annoying little crayons. I used to hate following all the other kids in my grade, so instead of being normal, I would specifically color the background only. And then the lady would be happy with my creativity and give me a free pancake!" He began to smile like a little kid again. I couldn't help it. He just looked too cute to handle. I wanted to lean in and kiss his bright red cheeks but-
"Okay, I can't wait any longer!" He began to jump in his seat taking me out of my thought process. "Can we go get pancakes, please?" He begged. I got out of the car and smiled.
"Come on!" I called out. "You don't want the pancakes to get cold right?" He jumped out of the car and locked it.
"You're the best Ally!" He squealed. That's my pancake nerd!
We sat in a booth while we waited for our pancakes. "Hey Ally?" Austin began. I nodded. "This morning, I was telling you about what happened last night. Do you remember? It seems a bit foggy to me"
"Of course, You, Dez and Andrew played video games in future Dez's house. And in the morning, Future Dez woke you up while he was icing his butt because of a duck attack." That is specifically what Austin told me this morning.
"Oh yeah… that's what happened," he said slightly confused, "off to the ice cream store!" he said as he picked up the take away bag of pancakes.
Dez's POV:
Trish and I sat quietly while watching Crime and Judgment. We are waiting for Austin and Ally and the ice cream. "Why are they taking so long?" I asked as I yawned while we both watched intently. I felt a flash of light appear. "Hey Andrew…" I said indifferently.
"Andrew!" Trish yelled. "What are you doing here?" He said as she gave the little troublemaker a hug.
"I'm just here to ask a question and that's it. I have to be quick because future Aunt Trish and Uncle Dez think I am right in front of them in the bathroom." He said quickly, "Dez, last night, what did we do?"
"We played video games in future me's house and then we woke up to older me icing his butt because of the duck attack," I said plainly. That's what I remember.
"That is not what happened. Okay, I am going to be very quick, but fate made you forget about last night because of something in the future that you saw. Something that could prevent a chain of events that would lead to that thing. Future us cannot actually predict when you forget things. We only know about you forgetting the Sonic Boom explosion because my grandpa is the only one who was allowed to keep the memory. That's why everyone made it out alive," he began to talk faster and faster.
"What are you trying to say, Andy?" Trish asked while shuffling in her beanbag chair.
"What I'm trying to say is, I cannot predict when you are going to forget me. And once you do, I will never be able to travel in your living time frame."
A nice short little chapter! I got a good spy chapter for next time! :)
Love your reviews! You guys are awesome! :) I do not own Austin and Ally or Crime and Judgment from Tunes and Trials!
