FORBIDDEN GROUND

CHAPTER 26

"Calliope Torres! How can you watch this complete crap?" Arizona asked, as she picked up countless tissues from the floor along the couch where her fiancée had been for over 7 hours. "I'm sick! And this is the only thing that was on since I can't find the remote control!" Callie said with a pout. Arizona shook her hear and started to dig in the couch cushions, moving Callie around in the process. "Hey! What are you doing, I'm –" Callie tried to yell but stopped when Arizona pulled the remote from between two of the cushions. "Here. Now please. Watch something besides Divorce Court! These shows are proven to kill your brain cells." Arizona said, lifting Callie's feet and sitting down before placing Callie's feet on her lap. "How are you feeling babe?" Arizona asked, while Callie started to surf through the channels. Callie started to speak, but got lost in the feeling of Arizona rubbing her feet. "That feels so nice. Have I ever told you that you are the greatest future wife in the world?" Callie asked. "You have, but it never gets old hearing it." Arizona said with a wink. "Oh goodness. Look what is on." Callie said, turning the tv volume up. "The episode where we met." Callie said with a smile as Arizona turned to see that a rerun of Anatomy was on. "That was one of the greatest days of my life, even if it was acting. And also one of the most nerve wracking days as well." Arizona said with a smile.

Callie kept watching the episode, smiling at her friends on the screen. "It still seems so surreal to me that we have jobs like we do. Getting paid to do something we enjoy so much. We are so lucky." Callie said. "I am so lucky. Because without this show, I would have never found you." She added, before a big sneeze rocked her body. She was reaching for the hundredth tissue when she heard Arizona's voice in a soft tone, almost a whisper. "Calliope?" She said. Callie turned to look at her, sensing that something was up since they were just talking normal, and now a look of sadness or… or something was covering Arizona's face. "Yeah babe?" Callie asked, setting up straight to be able to look Arizona in the eyes. "Are you having any doubts about the wedding?" She asked, avoiding eye contact with Callie, and playing with some strings on the blanket. "What? Wh-Why would you think something completely insane like that? Of course I don't have any doubts. I want to marry you more than anything babe. Where is this coming from?" Callie asked, genuine concern taking over. "Well, we have been engaged for over 8 months now, and you haven't mentioned setting a date. I mean, I know I haven't either, but I just thought I would wait until you brought it up. But you haven't… and I was—" "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Stop right there. I am so sorry babe. I know I haven't brought it up, but it is not because I don't want to marry you. Nothing could be further from the truth. I want to marry you and adopt Colton. Those are my goals. Those are my two purposes in life. To have you as my wife, and to have Colton as my son." Arizona felt tears start to sting in her eyes. Callie just said she wants to adopt Colton. Of course she new that Callie loved Colton deeply, and that she was him other mother, but she never thought that Callie wanted to go the legal route and adopt him. "You want to adopt him?" She asked out loud. "I really, really do. I mean, as long as that is ok with you. I just want him to know that I loved him so much that I didn't want anything or anyone to ever be able to keep me from him. And when he grows up, he will know that. But only if that is ok with you of course. I mean, it's not like I can go out and just adopt him without your permission anyway." "I would love for you to adopt our son. If anything were to ever happen to me—" "Stop. Don't even talk like that. I can't imagine you not being with me." Callie said, holding her hand up to stop Arizona. "Calliope, I do not plan on going anywhere for a very, very, very long time. But I'm just simply saying that IF anything were to happen, I would be at ease knowing that you and Colton would be together and have one another through it. I don't want to take a chance of anyone being able to take him from you. So yes, I will sign whatever I have to sign for Colton to become your son legally. Even though you, I and Colton know that he is yours already." Callie moved closer to Arizona and pulled her in for a hug. "I would kiss you, but I don't want to get you sick." She said, and Arizona laughed and wiped away her tears. "I don't care." She said before leaning in and capturing Callie's lips in a soft kiss. When they pulled away, Callie looked at Arizona and said, "This summer." Arizona scrunched up her forehead in confusion. "What about this summer?" She asked. "Let's get married this summer. Your brother is leaving in 4 and a half weeks, and I know that it would mean the world to you if he could be there. I know, I know… it's such short notice, but it's not like we don't have the resources to pull it off. And there's nothing more that I would like than to have you happy with your brother there." Callie said, and Arizona was now speechless. "Really? You really want to do this so quickly?" Arizona asked. "Yes. But if you don't, if you think its—" Callie was silenced by Arizona climbing on top of her and kissing her with all she had. When they ran out of air, Arizona pulled away and pressed her forehead against Callie's. "I want to. I really, really want to. Oh my God, we are getting married!" Arizona said excitedly. "I have to go call my mom! And Tim!" She said as she jumped up and ran to get her cellphone. "You need to call your parents!" She called back over her shoulder. Callie had to laugh. Arizona was too adorable when she was excited, and right now she may just be the most excited she has ever seen her.

Later that evening, Callie and Arizona were once again in the living room, minus all the tissues. Arizona had cleaned the room from top to bottom with Clorox and Lysol and helped Callie shower in an effort to help her feel better. It seemed to have helped some, as they were now sitting together, watching television, eating Chinese right out of the cartons and Arizona was scribbling away on a wedding planner. "Ok, so you're sure you don't want your sister to be your maid of honor? You want Addison?" She asked Callie. "Yes. I mean, I love my sister and I want her to be my bridesmaid, but I know that she would absolutely suck as the maid of honor. It's too much responsibility for someone of her intelligence. She would put a pedicure above helping me pick out a dress." Arizona laughed, because she had never met Aria, but from the way Callie had spoke of her, that seemed very true. "I know that I will definitely be going with Teddy. I was wondering if it would be too weird to have Tim stand in as my best man instead of my maid of honor. Would that be incredibly ridiculous?" Arizona asked. "Babe, that's a great idea. And it's our wedding. Who cares what anyone would think anyway. If you want Tim standing beside you, then that is who you need to have."

As if on cue, the doorbell rang and the two women knew it was Tim and Amanda. "I'll get it." Arizona said, handing Callie the notebook. She looked at the pages and smiled when she saw that Arizona had been doodling on the sides with 'Arizona loves Callie', 'Arizona Torres' 'Calliope Robbins' just like you would do in high school. She found it adorable that she had been doing that, and in fear of embarrassing Arizona, she decided not to say anything about it. Instead, she wrote on the side in true high school fashion, 'Callie plus Arizona equals love forever'. She shut the book just in time for Tim, Amanda and Arizona to enter the room.

"Hey Callie. How are you feeling?" Tim asked, giving her a hug hello. "I'm feeling a lot better. You sister plays a doctor on tv, but she makes an even better nurse in real life." Callie said with a laugh. "So what are we doing tonight?" Tim asked. "I don't think we are going to be able to go out. Callie is just starting to feel a little better and I don't want her to get sick again." Arizona said. "I don't feel too bad right now babe. We can do something. But what did you have in mind Tim?" She asked. "Well nothing big. Go out do dinner? Or go have a drink? Nothing where we have to get all dressed up." He suggested. "That sounds like fun, huh babe?" Callie asked. "We can do that. How about we go to Joe's? We haven't been there in a while. We can call Teddy and Addison and tell them to meet us there. " Arizona said. "Sounds great. We will grab our bags from the car and borrow your spare bathroom to change." Tim said and Arizona turned around with a questioning look. "Why do you have your bags? Aren't you staying at mom and dads?" She said. "No. We were staying in a hotel, and we checked out this morning. We were clear across town and we decided to look for one a little closer to you guys since we are going to be spending so much time with yall." Tim said. "Alright, well go ahead and change. The guest room upstairs has a restroom in it, you can chance in there. We are going to go get changed as well and I'll call the girls." Arizona said before she and Callie went up to their bedroom.

Inside their room, Arizona shut the door and went to say something but Callie beat her to it. "Babe, why don't we ask Tim and Amanda to stay here? I mean you want him to spend as much time as he can with Colton right? What better way for them to bond than staying in the same house?" Arizona smiled from ear to ear, her dimples popping. "I love you so much its ridiculous." Arizona said, walking over and wrapping her arms around Callie's neck. "Why? What did I do to make you love me so much?" Callie asked, her arms found Arizona's waist and pulled her closer. "I was just fixing to ask you if you would mind if they stayed here and then you go and say what I was thinking before I could. We are amazing." Callie leaned in and kissed Arizona. What was supposed to be a quick and small kiss quickly turned into a hot and heavy make out. Arizona had pushed Callie back onto the bed and straddled her lap. Somewhere in the process, Arizona's shirt ended up on the floor. Arizona leaned over and deepened their kiss while Callie maneuvered her hand between Arizona's legs. "Ca-Calliope, Oh god." Arizona tried to tell Callie that they needed to stop, but couldn't find the strength. Everything Callie was doing felt entirely too good and she couldn't bring herself to stop it. On the contrary, she wanted more. "Tim and Amanda are waiting for us." Arizona managed to breath out. "I'll be fast… promise." Callie said, and that was all it took to convince Arizona. She reached down and scooter her way out of her shorts to allow Callie more room. "God you feel so good." Callie moaned. When her fingers entered Arizona, she couldn't hold back the moan that came out entirely too loud. "Shhh. They are going to hear us. If you want this, you have to be quiet." Callie told the blonde. "Nothing that Arizona said could be interpreted as words. They were more like sounds. "oh, uh, yuhh' were some of the few. She moveD her mouth to the corner of Callie's neck in an attempt to muffle some of her cries. When her she was on the verge of her orgasm, Callie kissed her with power and force. When Arizona came, Callie continued to kiss her and slowed down her ministrations to allow Arizona to ride it out completely. When they finished, Arizona fell off of Callie onto her side. "That…felt…so…good." Arizona breathed out. Her chest rising and falling rapidly as she tried to catch her breath. "It looked like it did." Callie said with a cocky smile. "And as much as I want you to return that, we don't have time so I will have to remind you tonight." Callie explained before jumping up and heading towards the restroom.

"You are going to be the death of me." Arizona said into an empty room. She stood up in search of her bra, and the smile that was on her face was there to stay. They quickly got dressed and walked out of their room to get ready to head to Joe's with Tim and Amanda. When they got to the bottom of the stairs, Arizona noticed that Amanda couldn't even look her or Callie in the eyes. She didn't know what was going on, so she had to ask. "Amanda?" Arizona said. "Y-yes?" She said in a stutter, looking everywhere in the room except for Arizona's face. "Is something wrong?" the blonde asked but was once again met with avoidance. "No, every—" Amanda began to try and make something up as to why she was so embarrassed right now, but Tim cut in. "She doesn't know how to look at either of you with a straight face after we just listened to your entire quickie. The wall from the guess bathroom and apparently your bedroom are not very thick. Just an FYI." Tim said with a smirk. "But by the way. Way to go Callie, you have some mad skills!" He said raising his hand to give her a high 5. After they did, both Amanda and Arizona smacked their arms.

"Let's go you two. Teddy, Henry and Addison are going to meet us at Joes in 20 minutes. We can ride together in Callie's SUV." Arizona said, trying to get everyone off the subject of what they had just heard.

Walking to the car, Tim cam up behind his sister and whispered into her ear, "Yes! Yes! Yes Calliope!" and Arizona turned around and pushed him. Then the fight was on. Callie and Amanda sat back and watched their loves wrestle in the front yard like a couple of kids. Arizona would get him pinned and then Tim would tickle her and that was all it would take to get her off of him. Callie finally had to break it up or they were never going to make it to Joes. Before climbing into the car Tim yelled, "This isn't over yet little sister. It isn't over yet!" Callie just shook her head and laughed. She knew that once they invite Tim and Amanda to stay that things will not be the same in their house. But she knew that it would totally be worth the happiness it would bring her future wife.
