Sorry it has been a while, I didn't have much time to write due to work but now I have managed to go and fracture my finger by being incredibly stupid so I am not allowed to work so have been doing some writing and here is the next chapter. I'm sorry if there is any mistakes, two of the fingers I usually use to type are strapped together and its proving hard. Anyway this chapter shows Emily taking another leap in her recovery...

Chapter Twenty Six

Naomi

Emily and I had reluctantly got out of bed this morning, we had spent most of yesterday tangled up together and neither of us wanted the moments to end unfortunately but college was calling plus mum had banged on the door a while after our alarm went off "Come on girls, time to stop moaning and screaming the house down and get yourselves moving."

Emily had buried her face into the pillow slightly embarrassed; I faintly heard her groan "Is she always like this?"

I laughed slightly "Well I haven't got much experience in this situation but I would imagine so. The trick is going to be learning to comment back."

She turned her head a little looking so adorable my resolve almost disappeared "Yeah true."

I kissed her softly before quickly sliding from her bed, if I hadn't moved I never would have done "I'll see you downstairs babe I'm going to get dressed."

She had pouted a little at the distance between us but she did get up as she knew deep down we needed to get moving.

I was amazed we actually made it to college in time, we walked hand in hand as usual but this morning we just couldn't keep our hands and lips off one another. If it wasn't her pulling me in for a kiss it was me pulling her close and capturing her soft lips. Once we reached our lockers Emily slammed me against the metal structure and quickly found my lips in a hard passionate kiss as she pressed her body up against mine. She pulled away when the need for oxygen became too great and I gasped breathlessly "If you keep kissing me like that we are never going to make it to classes."

She smirked "Maybe that is my plan."

I was about to pull her in for another kiss when Effy sauntered over "You two are worse than normal, something's changed."

Emily blushed slightly "Is it that obvious?"

I laughed "It will be to Eff she knows fucking everything."

Effy smirked "Well at least that explains why none of my texts got a reply this weekend."

Emily smirked "We were too busy."

Effy laughed "Well I have to say Emily it seems to have done wonders for your confidence."

She smiled softly "I feel fucking fantastic, it's like a huge weight has been lifted from me. The nightmares have gone again and I feel ready to move forward." I noticed her look around to see if anyone was about before turning back to Effy and I, she circled her arm around my waist and cuddled close "I honestly think I can say I think I'm ready to put the attack and rape behind me now. I know I will never completely forget but I really feel like I can properly move on."

I hugged her close as Effy smiled "That's great Emily, really great."

I was so proud of her, she had overcome so much and I was really beginning to realise we were seeing the real Emily now. I kissed her softly as Effy pretended to vomit "Will you two get a room?"

I smirked "Don't tempt me."

It was then that Katie stormed round the corner, she had obviously been spying, none of us knew she was there. She was screaming and shouting "You're a fucking liar, you've made up about being attacked and raped just to get some fucking attention and to make me and mum look bad."

Emily moved away from me slightly and stood directly in front of Katie, her voice remained calm but I could see her hand trembling slightly "You can believe what you fucking like Katie, the people that are important to me know the truth and they are the people that love and accept me for who I am and they are the ones that have helped me through everything. You were the only thing causing problems for me but from now on I'm not going to let you. It is time for me to take control of my life."

I could see the anger on Katie's face but it was mixed with shock, it was obvious she hadn't expected Emily to stand up for herself. "Whatever Emily, you can fucking lie all you want you aren't going to fool me and I won't be telling mum about all this shit you're talking because it will only upset her. I am still determined to make you see sense and get you fucking away from her."

She spat her words in my direction when she said that but I didn't let her get to me as Emily stood firm in front of her "As I said you can believe what you like I really don't care anymore. I have Naomi who I love with all my heart and I know that without her I wouldn't still be here."

We were about to walk away when Katie started mouthing off again "You are such a fucking liar, you think you can go round hurting whoever you like don't you, well I'm not going to let you get away with it Emily Fitch."

It was then I lost my cool, I was not having her talk to Emily like that "You didn't see how fucking fragile she was those months ago, it has taken nearly four months to get her back on her feet and there is still a way to go. I am not going to stand by and listen to you calling my gorgeous girl a liar and I am most definitely not going to let you try and destroy her confidence again. Emily has her own life now, her own friends and she doesn't fucking need you."

Emily reached out and took my hand in hers still looking directly at Katie "I'm not going to live in your shadow anymore so you can fuck off Katie and you can stay away. I don't need you and I certainly don't need mum."

With that she turned and we walked away down the corridor, Effy eventually followed us after fixing Katie with an Effy glare. As we rounded the corner Emily breathed a sigh of relief "Fuck that felt good."

I smiled "I am so fucking proud of you." I pulled her into my arms and kissed her passionately neither of us wanting to break things up.

Eventually though we had to pull apart and Effy was just behind us, I jumped slightly "Fuck Eff, how do you do that?"

She just smirked "You know me Naoms."

I laughed before softly kissing Emily again. Effy rolled her eyes "Come on guys detach yourselves we have classes."

We made it through the first class of the day and I couldn't believe how relaxed Emily was. We could feel the daggers coming from Katie behind us but neither of us could honestly care less. We held hands under the table and whenever I had the opportunity I was whispering sweet nothings in her ear making her giggle oh so cutely. As everyone left the room Eff came out behind us her usual smirk on her face "Katie was getting so pissed off in there at not having any effect on the two of you."

Emily laughed "Good it's what she deserves."

Finally after what seemed like such a long day having to control ourselves we were home, mum was out so we made the most of being all over each other on the sofa. We were in a complete world of our own as usual when mum did come in "I see nothing changes around here."

We untangled ourselves thankfully all our clothes were still on as we quickly realised mum had Kieran with her. I could see mum had something on her mind "What is it mum?"

She took hold of Kieran's hand "We want to talk to you both about something."

Emily snuggled into my side "Ok."

Gina looked to Kieran who simply nodded "Well Kieran and I have been talking and I know it's not been long but everything just feels so right and I have asked him to move in. I guess we just want to check you are both ok with it especially you Emily, I don't want anything to make you feel uncomfortable."

Emily smiled "I think it's a great idea Gina, I can see he makes you happy."

I nodded "And it's fine by me." I looked to Kieran "You don't hurt her though."

He smiled slightly "I won't."

Mum turned and kissed him softly "You do realise you will have to get used to walking in to situations like earlier with these two."

She pointed to Em and I as Kieran laughed "Well we will just have rival them."

I scowled and pulled Emily up from the sofa with me "That is too much information, she is my mother."

I pulled Emily upstairs with me as we listened to mum and Kieran laughing in the lounge.

Em and I cuddled up on my bed sharing soft kisses but I could tell Emily was thinking "You are really ok with him moving in aren't you Em?"

She smiled softly "Yeah, I was just thinking…" she paused "Naoms do you think I should let Gina tell Kieran about what happened to me. I don't want her having to keep things from him."

I softly stroked her cheek "That is only a decision for you to make, she won't tell him unless you say so. If you want my opinion though yes he should know, you know if your nightmares are triggered again or something."

She kissed me softly "You always know what to say. I'll talk to her later about it; right now I have other plans for you…"
