"Jackson is 18" they heard Manny say.

(Vell leans over to Jack, "Is this when… it happens?" he asked.

Jack shook his head, "no, not yet. I think.")

The tree stood, lit up in all its glory, with garlands of berries and popcorn strung around it, stood next to the lit fire place were five stocking hung. The large family of five sat cuddling next to the fire telling stories of things that took place over the year.

Autumn was currently telling one. "Mama Mama! Pa then took the purse from the thief and tossed it back to good fellow Landstone the town blacksmith, and then, and then the constable came and took the thief to the stockade! Pa was a hero! Like the prince from my story!" she told excitedly of when Jack saved the donation money to an orphanage from a wondering thief.

"That was a wondrous tale my lovely child." Elizabeth said as she wrapped her arms around her eldest daughter. She and Autumn sat closest to the fire and snuggled on the left side of Jackson who held the middle child, Samantha in his lap and the two year old Annalise sat sandwiched between her two parents.

"Papa! You tell story next!" Annalise said looking up at her father.

"Yes my handsome prince. Why dost ye naught tell the next tale?" Elizabeth said as she pecked his cheek.

("I think ye more of a handsome King now, my love" Lizzy said correcting her own words.)

He looked at the four sets of expecting eyes as he thought. 'What tale shall I tell? One of my adventures or one of my pranks. Mine daughters have told many of my good deeds already, mayhap I tell something different! Yes that will do, I will try out the new poem I had wrote.' (The girls perked up excitedly at the mention of his poetry and Jack groaned yet again both for the return of his thoughts and the poem that was about to be read.)

"I have a different sort of story for all of thee, a fairy tale of sorts, dost thee wish to hear it?""

A resounding yes was heard from his children.

"Aye Aye I hear ye, no need to shout" he said as he pulled a folded piece of parchment and then began.

"Once upon a time

It said, as I sat by firelight reading

In the eve of a long, full day.

"He was not the son of a king

She was not the daughter of royalty

But when they were in each other's arms,

He was a prince, she a princess.

It was a small cottage,

Not a castle, no towers, no servants

But there were two who

Adorned the walls, planted the garden

Warmed the rooms,

Created a home."

Jackson gazed lovingly at his wife as he continued,

"Some days the storms would blow,

And beat upon the home

That was not fortified with stone.

But as the two held on to each other

The walls held fast,

And indeed grew stronger with every storm.

And together they saw many rainbows."

Now he looks from his wife to his daughters all with a ssmile on their faces.

"Along their path, children were born

Three, young and strong

Who played games of their own making

And grew

Not by nanny or boarding school master

But by the love that filled their home.

I did not read of captains of battle

Or regents,

Or a princess in the forest

Waiting for a magical kiss.

But I read of heroes,

And sacrifice,

And courage,

And love.

My girls, we may not be heavy pursed, but we are heavy in heart and love. We may not have everything we want, but we shall naught want for the things we need." He looked at his young children, some too young to fully understand what he is talking about, "And on this note, I and thy mother have a gift for each of thee. One that you may open tonight before ye art off to bed." The girl's eyes gleamed with glee at the idea of opening a present early. Jackson pulled out three small packages wrapped in brown paper and twin. "I know it be not much, but these presents signify are love to you three" he said as the girls quickly discarded the wrapping. The three girls held up there presents in awe. Autumn held up a leaf charm made of wood, much like her mother's, Samantha held a wooden sun charm, and little Annalise held up a wooden daisy charm. "These charms were carved by me, and all my heart went into making them."

Elizabeth came up to them next and handed each of them a measure of yarn. "This yarn is strong and sturdy, it shalt naught snap any time soon. Made from the sheep of your father, and turned into yarn on my wheel. Like your father I put heart into my own little creation. I hope you were your presents proudly, for they are just as beautiful as the jewels that adorn the fine ladies. Your father and I wear ours proudly" she said as she pulled her snowflake charm out, and Jackson pulled out his leaf. Elizabeth helped Annalise tier her charm around her neck and Samantha and Autumn tied it themselves.

"Okay all of thee, off to bed with ye!" Jackson said nudging them in the right direction, up the stairs.

"Or saint Nickolas wilt naught come!" Elizabeth said.

"Mama! Dost naught forget the cookies!" Samantha said. as Elizabeth placed said cookies on the table beside the tree.

"And Papa dost naught forget the fire! Or else Saint Nickolas wilt burn!" Autumn said as Jack threw a bucket of water on the fire, extinguishing it then.

"There everything is taken care of, now off to bed. And I believe thee already had your story for tonight." Jackson said.

"Yes papa!" all three chimed as the headed up the stairs into their room.

The parents waited a good ten minutes in the candle light. "Now I believe it is time for your early Christmas present." Jackson said seductively.

"Oh my, I think we may have gotten each other the same thing." Elizabeth said as she leaned up to kiss him.

("few I thought for sure we wear going to have a repeat of the honeymoon." Claude said as the group sighed, excluding the chucklint couple.

"Oh, that was only the start, we didn't wish to wake the little ladies." Jack said as he kissed his Lizzy.

The group paled as the continued to watch.)

"Oh, Jack. We canst naught do much for the children are asleep." Elizabeth said.

"They art able to sleep through a storm I think they shalt naught wake from us having some fun." Jackson said as he nuzzled her neck.

"Oh… let us at least make it to our room?"

"And why is that?"

"We dost not want to surprise Saint Nickolas, dost we?" ( "I agree" said Saint yelled)

"Oh fiy! Let him be surprised, I wish to unwrap this beautiful present now." Jackson said as they fell onto the bear skin rug. (the teens thankful for the light actually hiding much of that memory)

Hours later, the candles snuffed out, Jackson and Elizabeth were fast asleep on the bear skin rug in front of the fire. The only thing covering each other was a blanket half on them and each other's arms. They shivered every now and then. But soon a rustling from the fire place was heard, causing the young lovers to stir(and the viewer's eyes to go wide as some were glued to the screen and others looked from said lovers to the burly Russian). With a thud two black boots appeared in the fireplace. The sound woke the two teens and they lurched forward. Eyes wide as a tall burly man came from their fireplace. A scarlet blush came on both their faces as they locked eyes with North.

"S-s-s-ST. Nickolas?!" Elizabeth squeaked.

"Yes my dear?" North said as he turned his attention from their faces to… well I think you know. His rosy cheeks soon became cheery red. (The screen paused on North's bright red face as everyone in the room, except for the three in the memory, burst out laughing.

"Th-th-that was the two you caught! Them!" Tooth shouted.

"Oh, man of all the people you had to catch in the act!" Bunny exclaimed.

"Shhh! I want to see what happens next!" Bloom shouts.

"Yeah!" Sophie agrees. All eyes turn on her.

"Jack! You forgot to warn us!" Jamie complained.

"Why did he need to warn, there was nothing but them sleeping together on the floor, why everyone is making a big fuss out of it I don't know." Sophie said nonchalant.

Everyone just groaned, the teens feared the questions to come from her.

"Let's just watch the rest of the memory." Jamie said in dismay.)

"I-I a.. did not mean to disturb you." North said as his eyes quickly moved to the ground.

"No we art sorry we should naught have a… slept here tonight of all nights. We art sorry and wilt go forthright." Jack said jumping up and then quickly grapping the blanket, (Bunny quickly covered Sophie's eyes as everyone else shielded their own before Jack finally gave the all clear sign.)

"m-my apologies, St. Nickolas." Jackson mumbled along with his wife.

"It iz okay, why don't you go back upstairs?"

"I think that is a good idea dost ye naught think dear?" Jackson said, his blush never leaving his face.

"Yes it is a wondrous idea." Elizabeth agreed.

"You might want this though?" North said as he handed them a rather large fur blanket. "Think ov it as early Christmas present, very large and very warm." North added as the two wrapped themselves up in it and walked up the stairs.

North placed all the presents under the tree and the stocking stuffers in the stockings, the blush never left his face either, not for another five or six houses. ("That was defiantly most shocking Christmas ever. And has still topped list for quite some time." North said.

"List?" Jack asked, blue creeping up on his cheeks and red did on Lizzy's

"List of most embarrassing/shocking Christmas deliveries. The one just under that is walking in on wild yeti part after delivery" North shivered at the memory, "Don't ask."

They didn't as the memory changed to that morning.) The three mischievous children crept up to the bed and jumped onto it, startling there now clothed parents awake.

"MAMA PAPA! TIS CHRISTMAS! Annalise yelled in her parents ear.

"Aye and tis also morning, early morning." Elizabeth mumbled.

"Yes my dear, but I do believe there are more presents under the tree" Jackson said sweetly. "Some even with our names written on them."

"Fiy, fine I wilt get up now." Elizabeth said as she crawled out of bed with her husband.

The family all quickly opened up their presents. All the girls got new dolls and dresses, and art supplies, much to the dismay of the parents. Jackson thinking back to the day with the paint set. They also got some new toys that, much to the amazement of Jackson and Elizabeth, they have never seen before. Elizabeth and Jackson also got some things, new cooking utensils for Elizabeth and knives for the both of them cooking for Elizabeth and hunting for Jackson, also some paper and some ink and new quills. Jackson also received a new pair of skates. The memory faded on the families smiling faces.

(of screen)

"Hey North. Why did you give Jack and Lizzy presents back then? Weren't they considered adults by then? I mean they had three kids already." Monty said

"Net*, they are still children until they are twenty! That is way I have always seen it." North said as he crossed his arms.

"Even when you saw them doing something very much grown up?" Pippa said with a slight blush.

"Da even then," though he never met anyone's eyes when he said that.

"We art still quit repentant of that moment, North." Jackson said, his cheeks a bright blue.

"it iz al right, you were young, and still are!" North said.

With a smile on everyone's face they pressed the play button and watched the next memory.
