Alexa took a deep breath as she raised her hand to knock on the door in front of her, just as her fist was about to connect to with the oak her phone began ringing in her back pocket. She lowered her hand and reached behind her to get the phone, rolling her eyes when she saw it was Colby calling her…again.

"This is the fourth time I've talked to you today, what more could you possibly have to say?"

"I don't understand why you left the way you did, it was hard for me to say what I said," she heard the hurt in Colby's voice.

"It was hard hearing it Colby."

"Hey um, Alexa," Colby said nervously as she came back into the kitchen. The two were spending the day together before Alexa headed to Colby's place to help Leighla pack up his belongings. Colby had talked Alexa into letting him stay with her until he found the time to get an apartment of his own. "Can we talk real quick?"

"Right after you put my suitcase in my car for me," she smiled.

Colby chuckled to himself as he stood from the bar stool and did as Alexa requested.

"There you go anything else your majesty needs done today?" Colby mocked as he re-entered the kitchen.

"Nope, that'll be all for today servant," she joked back. "What did you want to talk about?"

"It's about Leighla," he said, making Alexa look up from the magazine she was reading at the bar. "And the whole Zahra situation."

"I'm listening," she said, urging him to continue.

"There are a few things you should know before you go to help Leighla," he said as he looked down. "You're the reason I slept with Zahra."

Alexa's eyebrows pulled together in confusion, "How?"

"I think I'm in love with you," he blurted out. "I tried to use Zahra as a distraction, every time I'm around you I just get overwhelmed with these new feelings. After you left your ring on my counter I leaked the photos so that Leighla would find out and I could tell you how I feel. It was all stupid on my part, I know. Maybe I should have ignored my feelings, maybe I shouldn't have leaked the photos but I didn't know what to do. You're my best friend; I'm not supposed to feel this way about you."

Alexa sat, staring at Colby as he finally looked up at Alexa. The two were silent for what felt like forever until Alexa finally responded to Colby's confession, "I think I'm going to head out today, all the other girls are there already."

"You're just going to leave?" Colby said as Alexa stood up.

"I need time to think about this?"

"Yeah, and running to hang out with my ex is really going to give you that time."

"Please Colby," she said as she grabbed her purse. "You know I already have enough on my plate. I'll see you when I get back."

"Please don't shut me out Alexa," Colby begged. "If you decide that your feelings aren't the same then fine, but I can't lose you entirely."

Alexa shook her head, "I'll see you in two weeks Colby," she said before ending the phone call. Alexa was so thankful that by the time she returned home from this trip Colby would be traveling for several days after. She had two weeks to make some sense out of everything she was feeling.

Alexa turned her attention to the door and she finally knocked, it didn't take long for the door to be pulled open and a very puffy eyed Leighla to reveal herself from behind it. Alexa stepped through the threshold and pulled Leighla too her; hugging her not only for the pain she was feeling but also as a way to apologize – even though Leighla didn't know it Alexa was partially the reason this happened.

"How is he?" Leighla asked after about an hour of telling the girls what happened, how she should have saw the signs and how she just wants to move on with her life. Alexa, Paige, Alicia, and Renee were all shocked to hear her ask this question after everything she said about him in the last hour.

Alexa cleared her throat and tried to gather her thoughts and figure out the best way to answer her friend's question, "He's okay, been kind of quiet." 'Confessed his love to me,' she thought to herself before shaking it away. "I'm actually taking his stuff with me so he can store it in my spare room until he finds a place," she said, she didn't want to keep everything from Leighla.

"I'm sorry you're in this position right now," Leighla said.

Alexa shook her head, "its fine Leighla. Colby is my best friend but what he did was wrong; no matter what his excuse for it was…" before Alexa could finish she was interrupted by her phone ringing. "It's Roman, I'll be right back," she said before standing up and leaving the room.

"You're spilling the beans on that one when you get back," she heard Leighla yell after her.

"Hey," Alexa said as she answered the phone after shutting the bathroom door.

"Hey, I just stopped by your house and Colby said you left to go help Leighla," he started. "I thought you weren't leaving until tomorrow."

"Yeah, I was going to go tomorrow but all the other girls were already here so I decided to join them."

"How is Leighla?" Roman asked.

"She's fine, she cried about it to us for awhile but now she's onto me and my crazy life," Alexa sighed.

"You don't sound so thrilled about that," Roman noted.

"Every time I have to explain my life to someone it makes me question why I deal with it, I could just walk away and move on," she said.

"But you don't, why?"

"Because I love the people in my life," Alexa shrugged, she finally realized that she had a really tough decision on her hands – choosing between the three most important men in her life. There was no way she was going to make everyone happy.

Roman took a deep breath, knowing what Alexa meant he decided to push it to the side and get to the reason he called, "The people from the wedding venue called."

Alexa's eyebrows pulled together in confusion, she and Roman didn't have much booked but Colby had offered to cancel the few things they did have arranged. "Colby said he cancelled everything."

"Well he must have forgotten about this one," Roman replied, trying his best to keep the bitterness out of his voice. "I told them I was going to talk to you…they said that we were lucky to get that date as quick as we did, they're usually booked for two years straight."

"Roman we can't keep the reservation," Alexa replied quietly. "We still have a lot to figure out, a couple who needs that day for sure should have it."

Roman sighed, "I know, I guess cancelling this means it's all final. Our wedding is officially off."

Alexa sighed, "Nothing is final Roman, when I get back we're going to sit down and figure all of this out."

"Will it be just us or the four of us?" there was no hiding the bitterness of his voice now.

"Why would it be the four of us?"

"You and I have to talk eventually, clearly you and Dean need to talk now, and after Colby dropped his most recent bomb the two of you definitely need to talk."

Alexa took a deep breath, "He told you about that?"

"Yeah," Roman said. "I should have listened to Dean when he said you two were more than just friends."

"I don't know what Colby told you but he and I are just friends," Alexa said, trying to keep her voice down. "He's the one with feelings for me," she said.

"And what are your feelings for him? They must not be strictly friendly if you ran away a day early after he tells you how he feels."

Alexa sighed, "I haven't figured anything out yet. Look, I have to go back to the girls."

"I already told you once that I'm not giving up on you; don't think that just because you and Colby decide to have feelings for each other means I'm going to just walk away. You belong with me, I'm the one for you," Roman said. "I've known it since the first time I spent the night with you. You're it for me Alexa."

Alexa took a deep breath, "We'll talk when I get home Roman."

"The look on your face says that wasn't a good conversation," Paige pointed out as Alexa came back into the living room.

"The people from the wedding venue called him to confirm that date," Alexa said as she sat back down in her spot on the couch. "He thought that we could keep it just in case we work everything out."

"And you told him to cancel it?" Leighla asked.

Alexa nodded, "I don't know when I'm going to be ready to take that step with him again."

"Because of Dean?" Paige questioned.

"That and other things," Alexa answered, she wanted so bad to tell the girls everything that was going on but she knew she couldn't say anything about Colby, especially in front of Leighla.

"Wait, back up," Leighla started as she held her hand up. "What does Dean have to do with this?"

Alexa sighed, "I went out to the bar with Colby two nights ago and I got really wasted. I ended up hitting on Dean and leaving the bar with him in front of Roman. We drove around for a while and I just cried, I needed to just cry without anyone saying anything. After I got it all out I asked him to take me home and just hold me. I didn't plan on anything to happen but we kissed, I tried to take it further and he stopped me and told me that he wanted to take things further but he doesn't want to do it while I have Roman in the back of my head and if we ever have the chance to do this again then he wants it to be because we're both ready not because I'm confused about life."

"So the possibility of the two of you getting back together is…"

"There," Alexa finished for Renee. "I don't know if it's a huge possibility but it's definitely there."

"Here I thought I was having it rough," Leighla said. "If it were up to me I'd give Dean another chance. What he did was so wrong but he seems so different now, I truly believe that if the two of you were to get back together he'd have you wifed up in less than a year."

Paige shook her head, "But Roman loves her just as much. He overreacted about the whole Colby thing but that doesn't mean that it needs to be over between the two of them for good. They just need to work on building their trust again."

"That man is never going to trust her. He didn't trust her when she and Dean became friends and now he doesn't trust her because she kept a secret that wasn't hers to tell. Add on the fact that he completely left out his fiancé and what he did to her; Alexa shouldn't trust him either."

"And this is why I can't make a choice," Alexa intervened. "This is the conversation that has been going on in my head for the past two days," Alexa stood up. "I'm beginning to think that my only option is to leave both of them," Alexa made her way out of the living room, through the kitchen and out the sliding glass doors. She plopped herself down in a chair out on the back porch and stared out into the night.

"You okay?"

Alexa looked to her right to see Paige took a seat next to her.

"I'm the reason Colby left Leighla," Alexa blurted out. "I came here a day early because he told me he's in love with me."

Paige was silent for a few minutes, "So this puzzle gets harder and harder."

Alexa nodded her head, "I feel like no matter what I do I'm going to lose two of them. Colby is my best friend and if lose him I would lose myself. Dean is family, he means the world to me and I can't let anything ruin that. And Roman…" Alexa looked over at Paige as a tear slid down her cheek. "I'm in love with him, that man has my heart and if he walks away from me I'll have nothing."

Paige took a deep breath, "Then choose yourself Alexa. None of them can be mad at you for that."
