Miranda woke up to her ringing phone. A wake up call. First she was a little disoriented but then she felt the familiar ache between her legs and then there was that soft arm on her naked belly which had made her scream most of the night. With a smile she turned to face Andrea who had also woken up.

"Good morning, darling." Her voice was a little hoarse from the sleep.

"It is." Andrea kissed her. "I love you."

With a smile Miranda kissed Andrea and started to explore her lover's body again, finding it ready for her to take.

Their lovemaking was sweet and tender, nothing like last night but as intense. They had found each other yet again from the fog which was about to settle down after all they had been through. Neither of them were ready to give up on each other, although, Miranda had been close. Not because she didn't love but because she loved too much to let her young lover waste her youth with an old woman like her.

She should be getting ready, but she couldn't move off of her lover, Emily would be there soon to start their day. So she did get up after sweet kisses and went to take a shower. Standing there naked she let her mind wonder through the night and the words which her lover had said. When Nigel called, rang in her head, why had he called Andrea? Knowing very well, they had things to talk about, but right now she had job to do and knowing her Andrea was here with her made it easier for her to continue to be Miranda Priestly, the dragon lady. When she got out she found her fiancée looking at something on her hands. It was her ring which she had taken off to hide it from the public eye.

"Why did you take this off?"

Miranda wrapped her arms around Andrea's waist and lay her head on her shoulder: "I think it was because of the press. Now, I think it was because of fear."

"Are you still afraid?" Andrea turned to face her.

"No." Miranda offered her left hand to the younger woman and Andrea put the ring back where it had always belonged. "I love you." Miranda whispered.

"And I you," She was kissed tenderly. "I know we still need to talk about lot of things, but now you need to get ready for work and I need to get our girls and your mom."

"What?" Miranda was astonished. "My mother is here?"

"Yeah," Andrea smiled. "I didn't ask for her to come. I gave her permission to come."

"Oh, my God!" Miranda groaned.

"It isn't a bad thing. I was thinking dinner all together tonight if you have the time."

"Emily can make me some time. I truly miss my darlings." She quickly kissed her lover before she let her go to take a shower. Even though she loved the smell of sex on her lover, she didn't want to share it with anyone else.

"We still need to talk, but the worst is over." Andy told to the red queen while they strolled side by side. The twins were ahead of them taking pictures and enjoying Paris.

"I didn't..."

"No, you didn't ask, but I could hear your thoughts screaming for me to tell you." Andy smiled.

"So, you are a mind reader?" Katharina laughed.

"No, no." Andy shook her head. "Miranda is quite a bit like you." Andy's lips curled on a smirk. "You both bite your lower lip when something is on your mind and don't know if should you voice your thoughts or how you would ask."

They were on their way to the Eiffel-tower when Emily called to confirm their plans for dinner. "Andy, do not ever do this again. Do you have any idea how much I had to plan yet again to make this work? Really Andy, next time, stay home!"

"I love you too, Em." With a smirk she hung up the phone. She turned to face the red queen. "Our dinner reservation is at eight, and our driver will pick us up at seven thirty."

Katharina glanced her wrist watch. "We still have quite a bit time to wait for dinner. I know small, but great place near here."

"That sounds good." Andy stopped walking. "Girls," She called out. "Granny is taking us for lunch." The queen flinched on the name, but didn't say a word. Until the girls were walking further behind them. "Granny?" She took a hold on Andy's arm like couples do.

"To them, you are. To me, you are mom."

"Mother." She corrected.

"No, I like mom better." With laughter they continued their way to the restaurant.

Little did they know they were being followed by the curious eyes of many. Press mainly, but there were others too, some locals also noticed their harmonic chemistry. They felt in their bones this was much more and there would be more to come. Katharina had thought about quiting her game being the red queen and was looking for someone to continue her work. But she hadn't found one. Of course she had assistants and loyal minions who would take the job gladly to their hearts. But no-one was like Andrea, she could be ruthless and heartless but also loving and caring. She hoped she had a chance to talk about that in time. If for some reason Miranda would get her knickers twisted again she would steal Andrea what ever it took. The girl was perfect for the job and she wouldn't mind if she would get her in her king sized bed. Andrea was really a catch and there was a little that she didn't know about her. Katharina wanted to know Andrea and she would in time, but right now she wanted her daughter be happy. After all these years she wanted to get to know Miriam again. Andrea was right, they were both too much alike, stubborn and fools to give up on things which was childish when you thought about it later on. Katharina hadn't wanted the first marriage to happen and they had fought about it to the moment Miriam had left her. Still the woman had given her so much after that, two wonderful grandchildren, the twins which she adored to the end.

Tonight she would mend the fences with Miranda and then she will take the girls to their hotel. Letting the young couple talk about what ever they needed to talk through. A little bit of her, the selfish part, wanted them apart, but she wouldn't be the one to break them up. She had tried that once and failed and in the process found herself having fallen for Andrea's charm. She groaned quietly, I am an old fool with a temper.
