Ms. McCall looked up from Jackson's still body. When her eyes met mine, there was an instant sadness. She looked over to where Scott was standing just a few feet away and gave a short shake of her head, allowing Scott to know that Jackson was dead.
Paramedics rushed to Jackson's side. They checked all his vitals, but Melissa was right, he had been dead for minutes already. I felt my body go cold and a sort of paralysis took over. I couldn't make myself mover.
"Olivia!" I heard my name called several times but I wasn't able to actually move to see who was behind the voice calling it out.
The whole world was a like a smoky haze, just floating by me. I watched Lydia as she knelt down at Jackson's side and took his hand in hers. She was crying histerically and calling out his name over and over again. Watching the tears roll down her cheeks made me reach up and feel my own cheeks. I was surprised when I felt that they were tear stained as well; I hadn't even known I was crying.
Paramedics put Jackson's body in a black body bag. As they zipped him up, I noticed that there was a sort of liquid oozing out just slightly. But then again, I could have been imagining it.
"Olivia." I looked up at Isaac who was running up to me. "Thank god you're okay. Come here." He breathed out as he encircled me in his arms. He placed his hand on the back of my neck and guided my face into his chest. "It's easier if you don't look." He whispered in my ear.
"Stiles!"
"Stiles!"
"Stiles!"
There were still some students who were oblivious to what had just happened to Jackson. They were so hyped up on winning the championship and Stiles being their victor. Stiles was the champion of tonight's game.
"No. I don't care. I'm going with him."
"Look, you did a great job, but we have it from here."
"I said I am going with him." I turned around and out of Isaac's arms to see Ms. McCall fighting with the paramedics to let her ride along with him to the morgue. It seems as though she won the fight because she was now climbing up into the back of ambulance.
I looked past her and at the body bag once more, and this time I knew that I wasn't imagining it. There was something clear and liquid dripping out of the bag.
"What the hell?" I whispered out, I started to walk towards the ambulance to join Melissa on the ride to the hospital, but I was interrupted.
"Alright you bunch of over grown clowns. Get to the locker room!" All the people that were still standing around turned to look at Coach. "The lacrosse team! I'm talking about the lacrosse team." Coach Finstock shook his head and then mumbled something under his breath as he walked up towards the school.
I looked up at Isaac and he wiped his thumb across my cheek. "I don't have to go if you need me to stay here." He spoke so softly and his voice was laced with such tenderness, that I almost took him up on that offer.
Instead, I shook my head. The emotional paralysis from a few moments ago was now wearing off. I was finally able to take the scene in. All of it. Jackson was dead. And someone was to blame for. That someone being Gerard.
"No. Go to the locker room with Scott." Gerard did this to get to Scott. So I didn't want him or Isaac being alone right now. They would be stronger together. "I've got to go back to the house for something." I didn't know how Gerard did it, how he made Jackson kill himself, but I was sure he was behind it. I just had to figure out how and why…
I turned to walk away, but Isaac's hand caught in my own. "Olivia, don't do anything stupid okay?" I turned around and narrowed my eyes at him. "We'll figure this out. Together." He said the last word with emphasis. "I get it. You want revenge for what just happened. But we still don't even know what just happened. And you can't go at it alone. Not when you are like this…" He let his words trail off.
I crossed my arms. "Like what?" I demanded to know what he was talking about.
"Numb." He spoke softly. "I know what it feels like to sit and watch someone you love get zipped up and carried away in a body bag. It puts a darkness in your heart, and if you aren't careful, that darkness with take over." He spoke sadly, but then he looked up and his eyes met mine. "And I care too much about you to let that happen." I let my arms fall down, he was right. He stepped forward and grabbed my other hand with his empty one. "So just give me and Scott time to figure out what happened." He looked down at our joined hands. "Please."
"Isaac…" I was going to tell him that I wasn't sure I had the time to give them. Whatever Gerard was planning, he was already a few steps ahead. We didn't have time to play the catch up game.
"I can't handle something happening to you." He spoke firmly and he squeezed my hands as he spoke.
"Okay." I didn't have it in me to tell him no. So I allowed him the time for he and Scott to figure out what Gerard was up to.
"Thank you." He breathed out the words as a sigh of relief.
"Lahey!" Coach's voice broke into the moment we were having, and Isaac gave me a hug.
"I'm so sorry about Jackson." I know he hated Jackson, but when he spoke I really believed he was sorry for what happened. And just the slight mention of his name brought back all of those overwhelming emotions I had felt just a few minutes earlier. He pulled back and kissed my cheek. "I'll see you here in a bit."
I nodded my head and watched as he jogged off to meet Coach Finstock right outside of the school. I turned and started for my car to go home and research everything I could on the Kanima's master.
~{}~{}~{}~
I got home and opened my door to find no one in the kitchen or in the living room. So I just made my way up the stairs. I reached my bedroom door, but was caught off guard when I heard noises coming from down the hall in Andie's room. Noises that I didn't wish to hear under any circumstances.
I closed my door and push play in my iPod dock and turned the music all the way up. I didn't care if I interrupted their sex time. I went and sat on my bed after pulling my family's bestiary out from underneath it. I had the Kanima section already flagged, so I just flipped right to it.
A piece of paper fell out. It was a sheet of notes that Stiles and I had taken on connecting the dots when trying to figure out why Jackson turned into the Kanima. And in the corner of the paper was a sketch that I had drawn of him. I let my thumb roll over the small markings of his face and I felt the tears start to swell in my eyes.
I looked up and started to take a few deep breaths to try and calm myself down. I didn't have time to cry. I had to figure out what Gerard was up to. But when I looked up, all I saw was Jackson's face. The sketches I had done of him. Or the drawings I had done of our dates. Reminders of our relationship were everywhere.
There was a thigh holster, full of knives, sitting on the night stand. I don't know why I did it, I'd probably sum it up to emotional breakdown later, but I grabbed the knives and started throwing them at every drawing, picture, or thing that was Jackson in my room. I picked up my sketchpad, which I knew was full of drawings of us and him. And I started ripping out the pages one by one and crumpling them up. Then I went and grabbed the knife I had between my mattress and box spring and I cut open the portrait I had been working on for my final project in Art.
My door busted open, and on instinct, I threw the knife. It zipped right past Alex's head.
"Holy sh.. Are you out of your beautiful mind?!" He pulled the knife out of the wall next to his head. "I'm going to hang on to this. For protection." I fell to the floor and I couldn't stop the sobs that escaped my throat. "Whoa… hey, what's wrong?" He came to my side.
I saw him looked around the room and then he looked at the picture I was holding in my hand. It was the photo strip from Jackson and I's first date.
"He's dead." I was finally able to say the words out loud. "He's dead, and I couldn't save him. I just couldn't save him Alex." He had me wrapped up in his arms and I was soaking his shirt with my tears.
"What happened?" He had tensed up around me, and I could tell that he was getting angry, just as I already was. I just shook my head, I couldn't catch my breath long enough to tell him what had happened and he wasn't going to make me either. He just stroked my hair and kissed my forehead. "I've got you. Let it all out…"
~{}~{}~{}~
Alex had taken a break from holding me and wiping my tears long enough to go downstairs and fix us both a hot cup of tea. I looked up from cleaning my face off with a tissue and saw my bestiary lying on the floor a few feet away. I crawled over and picked it up.
Crying wasn't going to get me answers. Research, questioning, and possible torturing would. But for right now, I guess I'd start with research.
I opened up the compiled files and started reading through the Kanima section. I flipped the pages and found some sketches that looked like the evolution of the Kanima. When my phone started to ring, I picked it up and saw Ms. McCall's name on the screen.
"Hey!" She had ridden along with Jackson's body to the morgue. So maybe she had some kind of info that could lead me to Gerard.
"I know that you and I don't really have this close relationship, but I'm honestly still trying to get used to all of this werewolf stuff, and Scott said that if I couldn't get a hold of him to call you, so I hope this is okay, that I'm calling you, but something really….. strange is going here, and I'm pretty sure that it's not normal. No. I'm really positive that this isn't normal. So if you could just get down here and check this out for me and tell me what the heck is going on, I would greatly appreciate it." She finally took a breath and I was standing up in a heartbeat.
"You can always call me. Remember that? Is it Jackson? What's happening to him?" I knew that I was probably overwhelming her with questions, but I didn't care. I needed to know what was going on with Jackson because if these sketches were correct at all, Jackson wasn't going to stay dead for long.
"You just need to get down here." That was all that I was going to get out of her. I hung up the phone and immediately went to pull the box out of knives out from underneath my bed. I pulled out my hunting gear, which included maneuverable pants and a loose shirt and jacket. I packed two guns in the holsters inside my jacket. And then I strapped the thigh sheath around my upper thigh and started organizing my knives.
I did one last check through, and I had all my usual weapons and artillery, but something was still missing. I looked around my room and my eyes landed on the box in the corner of my closet. I walked over and knelt down to open the lid. I ran the tips of my fingers over the writing on the blades that Alex had specially made for me.
"If you want peace, prepare for the war." A voice transcribed what the Latin was saying on my blades. Alex's voice surprised me and caused me to jump slightly. I gripped the blades in my hands and stood to face Alex. Who happened to be dressed in black pants, white shirt, and his black leather jacket and I could see glimmers and shimmers of metal peeking out of his jacket. "Are you going to war Libby?" He raised his eyebrow at me.
I grinned and nodded to his wardrobe. "Are you?" His serious face broke into a small smile. "I thought you were getting us tea?" I searched around my wardrobe for some kind of belt or strap to holster my blades in as I spoke to him.
"And I thought you were crying over your recently dead ex boyfriend." I found a smaller belt and decided to engineer a small holster on each side of my hips for the blades.
"He's not dead." I nodded to the still open book on my floor. "I think he is changing into something." I finished tying the strap around my waist and looked up at Alex. "And I think Gerard is going to use him as a weapon."
"So where are you going? To find Gerard?" I shook my head.
"I'm going to get some more info first." I started walking past him, but he stopped me with a hand in front of my chest.
"I have an idea." I looked up at him, and I had a bad feeling about the words that were getting ready to spill out of his mouth. "Why don't I come with you?" I smiled up at him and my smile dropped when he didn't smile in return. "And you let Andie round up some back hunters."
"I don't think so. I'm not a hunter anymore Alex." I shook my head. "I don't want any hunters involved with this. I'm already going to have to deal with Gerard and his crew." I looked up at him. "And have you forgotten the reason why she is here? She is supposed to get you back at the headquarters with my father. You're his perfect little soldier remember?"
He shifted a little uncomfortably, and then he looked back at me. "I talked to her about that. She said that she took herself off of the assignment."
"And you believed her?" I was in a bit of shock. Alex was one of the least trusting people I knew in this entire world. And just like that, Andie's word was like gold.
"Why wouldn't he believe me? I haven't done anything but help you guys since I have been here." I looked past Alex and at Andie who was standing in my doorway.
"Eavesdropping is considered rude." I spoke a little hateful, but I kept in mind that Alex was in the mood and I didn't want to upset him.
"So is assuming someone is evil before you even give them a chance to prove otherwise." She shot back. "You don't know me. You have no idea how hard it has been, living in this house with the prodigy of the hunting world and knowing she hates your guts." She took a few steps towards me, where she was now standing in my room. "And if that wasn't bad enough, I also have to live in the house with the girl that my boyfriend is in love with." Both Alex and myself opened our mouth to say something but she cut us off. "Don't even. It's fine. I get it. I do. She is practically perfect, how could you not love her?" She turned to look at me. "But I am tired of you not trusting me. I'm going with you tonight. Whether you like it or not." I was okay with what all she said up until that last little part. I looked at Alex, giving him a chance to tell her to back off. When he didn't make a move to do such a thing, I walked around him.
"Okay, first. I'm not a prodigy. I'm just a girl." I took another step towards her. "Second. Yes, Alex does love me. But he is not 'in love' with me. There's a huge difference." I took the final step, so that I was standing so close our noses were almost touching. "And third. You don't tell me what you are and are not going to do when it comes to my life. I don't trust you. I probably will never trust you." I glanced back at Alex, and saw the pain of confliction for who's side he should take. I took a steady breath and exhaled slowly. "But I might need back up for what I'm going into tonight." I watched as Alex's eyes lit up with pride for me swallowing mine. I turned back to Andie though and gave her the most lethal expression I could muster up. "But let me be clear on something. The only way I am allowing you to come along tonight is on the condition that you and your men protect Alex."
"Whoa, hold u.."
"Shut up." I warned him, he put his hands up and shook his head.
"I'm not sure what we will be walking into, but I know that it will be nothing like you have ever seen before. So I want you to protect him at all cost, I'll be too busy to have his back at every second." I dropped my head, ashamed that I actually just said that. But I knew it was the truth. I would be completely focused on taking down Gerard, and I didn't want harm coming to Alex because of that. "If anything happens to him, I will personally cut through every main artery in your body and watch you bleed out. Are we clear?"
I watched her eyes kind of gloss over. "Seems a bit harsh." She shrugged her shoulder. I watched her as she looked up at Alex. "But I always protect Alex. So that is a condition that I am sure I can fulfill." I nodded my head once.
"Get your men ready and wait for my word." I instructed her and turned around to look at Alex. "I'm leaving on my bike in two minutes, with or without you." He grinned but didn't say anything.
~{}~{}~{}~
Alex and I walked into the morgue and I saw the relief of seeing us wash over Ms. McCall's face.
"Thank god. It's just you." Her eyes roamed over Alex and she raised an eyebrow. "You're a hunter too?"
"Like Libby, I used to be." He nodded once.
"Wonderful." She turned and looked at me. "Am I the only one that didn't know about all this craziness?" She ran her hand through her hair.
"Sheriff Stilinski doesn't know either." It wasn't much but it was the only thing I could think that would make her feel a little bit better about being in the dark for so long. I walked over to where she had zipped down the black body bag of Jackson's.
"What is it?" I unzipped the black bag some more and stared down at Jackson's cocooned body. "Oh my god, he's alive. Isn't he? In there, somewhere, in there he is alive." I heard her breathing start to grow heavy and I turned to place my hand on her arm to calm her down.
"I'm honestly not sure if he is alive or not, I just know that something is happening to him."
We all jumped when the door to the morgue swung open and in rushed Scott and Isaac.
"Olivia?" Isaac rushed over to me with a confused expression on her face.
"I'm sorry. At first I couldn't reach you and you said she was safe. So I called her. And you were right; she rushed right on over here." She gave me an appreciative smile.
"Olivia, what are you doing here?" Isaac was now at my side. His eyes moved to Jackson's body all cocooned and said, "You shouldn't be here…"
"She can be wherever she feels like being. What are you doing here anyways?" Alex stepped slightly in front of me. I knew that these two guys didn't get along, but now was not the time to be fighting.
"I am here because I'm trying to help. Why are you here? And I just meant that she shouldn't be here looking at her dead ex boyfriend's body." I felt Alex tense up beside me.
"You're kind never helps." I heard the snarl in Alex's voice. "And I bet that you are happy Jackson is dead. Now you can move in on Olivia with no one standing in your way."
"He's not dead!" I shouted above both of them bickering.
Isaac gave me a sympathetic look. "Liv…"
I turned on Isaac. "Don't you Liv me." I looked at them both. "He's not dead." I walked over to where Jackson was still lying on the cold table. "He's changing."
"Excuse me?" Scott finally spoke up. "Did you just say changing?" He moved to come and stand next to me and look down at Jackson's body.
"Changing into what?" Now Isaac was standing over Jackson's body.
"For my sanity, I hope it's a butterfly. Because this…" She waived her hands over the white material wrapping around Jackson's body. "Yeah. That's definitely a cocoon."
Melissa had almost made me laugh. Almost.
I moved my hand down to feel the strange material he was wrapped in. As soon as my hand reached him, his body twitched. I jumped and I felt two hands come at my elbows, Alex's and Isaac's. Jackson's body started to move and last out.
"Zip it up!" Scott yelled at his mom. I watched as her eyes went big, completely surprised by his request.
"You want me to zip it up? Are you crazy?"
As she spoke, Jackson's body started to rise up.
"Zip it!" We all yelled at once and she frantically tried to zip it up.
"We have to get him out of here." I told the guys. Then I turned to Melissa. "Where's your car parked?"
"I have it. But it doesn't matter. Derek and Peter are on their way here to get Jackson." I felt my eyes go big. I knew what they were planning, and what had to be done to stop Jackson from turning and stop whatever Gerard was planning.
"No." I stood up straighter and Alex turned to me. "I won't let them have him." I looked up at Alex. "They will kill him. That's the only way to stop Jackson from changing. He has to die." There was no shock or surprise in Alex's eyes.
"Derek promised to help save Jackson. Not kill him." Scott spoke so innocently. Sometimes I forgot how much he really doesn't know about other werewolves. They kill what is in their way, no matter the cost.
I looked back up at Alex. "You know they will kill him." I was hoping that he would be on my side.
But he didn't say anything to me; he just went to grab Jackson's feet. "I'll help you carry him out." That was all Alex said. He wouldn't even meet my eyes.
My body was paralyzed. I couldn't make myself move, even though ever nerve of my being was screaming out for me to stand in the door way so they couldn't get the body out.
"You're going to have to hold her back. She'll freak out in less than thirty seconds." I watched as Alex picked up the feet part of the body bag and as Scott picked up the head part. And as they started to walked with the body, I suddenly had mobility back in my legs and arms.
"You can't do this! They will kill him!"
I tried to run and stop them, but a pair of arms encircled my waist and I was air born, with arms and legs flying around from me trying to get loose.
"They are going to kill him not save him!"
I screamed out once more before they were out of sight. Isaac turned me around and held onto each side of my face.
He looked directly into my eyes and kept his voice strong, calm, and steady. "He's already dead." That was just something that I refused to believe. Everyone could be saved. My mom could have been saved, if I only had to the time to do it. I have the time now, and I knew that I could save Jackson. So, all I could do was shake my head. "He's not Jackson anymore." I just kept shaking my head. "Olivia!" I was trying to drown out his words. "Look at me!" The conviction in his voice snapped my concentration to ignore him. I opened my eyes and looked straight into his. "He's not the same Jackson you love anymore." He spoke softly, and then clarity washed over me.
He was not Jackson anymore.
No. Not he. It. It wasn't Jackson anymore. I shook my Isaac's hands off of me. "You're right." I stood up straighter and stared hard at Isaac. "That thing isn't Jackson. Not anymore." I turned to retrieve my knives I had placed down when I first entered the morgue. "Jackson is dead."
"What are you doing?" I could hear the worry in his voice, but I couldn't make myself care. It was like the switch on my emotions was temporarily switched off. All I could feel was rage, rage and anger.
I spun the knives around before holstering them back into their places on my hips.
"I'm going to kill the man responsible for killing Jackson." I started to walk out of the door, but Isaac's hand gripped mine tightly and I was pulled to a stop.
"You can't fight tonight." He said as I turned to face him.
"Excuse me?" Who was he to tell me what I couldn't do.
"You are seriously not okay right now. One minute you are pissed off and the next you are crying. You're not stable enough to fight. You'll get yourself killed." I pulled my hand out of his and glared at him.
"I guess we'll find out then won't we?" I started to run out of hospital.
~{}~{}~{}~
I went running out of the hospital, just in time to see the guys pulling out with Chris Argent driving in an SUV. What the hell? How did he know to come and find the guys here? And I found it hard to believe that he would help out Gerard. He was in the same boat as me when it came to his dad. He felt as though he was trying to turn Allison into the next Kate. So why was he driving off with Alex and Scott.
I jumped on my bike and started to follow the SUV out on the road.
I followed the vehicle all the way to the lot of empty warehouses near the edge of town limits. The boys all got out and I noticed that Peter was with them, but no Derek. What was going on here?
"Olivia! Wait!" I turned around and saw Isaac running up to me.
"Did you follow me here?" I glanced behind him and saw Alex's bike. "When he finds out that you took his bike, he's going to kill you. And I'm going to laugh." He scoffed at me, but I could tell he knew I was being serious.
"I'm not scared of him." He gave out one quick chuckle. "Look, I'm sorry about earlier. I wasn't trying to be your parent. It's just that you scare the hell of me." I gave him a confused look.
"What are you talking about Isaac?" I was doing one last run through of my weapons, making sure all guns were loaded and the knives were in the right place.
"I haven't had a someone in my life that I truly care about since my mom died." The mention of his mother's death caught my attention. I looked up at him. "And I care about you Olivia. A lot. And I know my timing is all off. But I need you to know that. And I only get a little crazy about you going out hunting and fighting because it means there's a good chance I could lose you. And I would go insane if I lost the only thing I care about in this world." I looked up at him and I could tell that it wasn't like him to make these kinds of declarations. "So please, just please be careful." I locked my last knife in place and took a step towards him. I placed my hand on his cheek and then leaned up to kiss the corner of his mouth slightly.
"Nothing bad is going to happen to me." I tried to give him a supportive smile. "Promise." I placed my hands on my hips. "And now, if you don't mind, I'm going to go kill Gerard." I turned around to go into the warehouse when I saw Derek running past us, on all fours.
I started to run in after him, and by the time I got there, Derek was already leaning over Jackson's body in the bag.
"Look, Jackson isn't the enemy here. My father is. Why can't you understand that?" Chris Argent was standing next to Scott, who looked beyond mad and seriously frantic.
"You said you were going to save him!" He glared at Derek.
"We're past that." Derek raised his hand up, claws extended, and began to bring his hand down.
"Noo!" I screamed out and it caught Derek's attention. He stopped and looked up to see me running full force over to where he was.
Then Derek was flying across warehouse. Jackson had awoken from the cocoon. I looked up to see Jackson go full Kanima form and then I saw Gerard. I pulled out my blades and readied myself. He was talking to Scott about something.
"And you led me straight to the Alpha. Wonderful job, I must say." He was talking about Scott bringing Jackson to Derek. Of course Gerard would be able to track where Jackson moved to; he was the Kanima's master. But what did he want with the Alpha?
Scott had moved over closer to me. "I'm so sorry I didn't listen to you." He whispered out as he took a fighting stance next to me. I turned to say something, but that's when I saw Allison pointing her crossbow straight at Scott.
"Watch out!" Scott ducked and I watched as the arrow flew over him and then I watched as it impacted Isaac's chest.
"Isaac!" I tossed two guns to Chris as he jogged past me and started to shoot at the Kanima. I rushed to Isaac's side, but he waived me off.
"I'm okay." He stood up and Scott was at his side. I watched the two boys as they wolfed out.
I turned around to look at where Derek was going after Jackson. I knew that Derek was going to try and kill Jackson, but I hoped that Isaac and Scott could help keep that from happening. The boys went after the Kanima with Derek.
Jackson easily threw Scott into a wall. I turned to look around for Gerard, but was coming up short. When I turned back around to see how the fight was going, I saw Allison literally slashing holes in Isaac's chest. She turned in a circle and stabbed him in the back.
Isaac's body fell to the ground, and was limp. I ran up to where Allison was going after Derek now that she had taken care of Isaac.
I threw a knife and it struck her calf, making her momentarily fall to the ground. She looked back at me and her eyes were wide. "Are you crazy?"
"Am I crazy? What is the matter with you?" I spun my knives around and faced her as she stood. It was clear that I had injured her because she was favoring her left leg.
"I'm doing what I was born to do? You're the one that turned her back on her own kind." She let the words seep off her lips in a snarling way.
"My kind? You mean hunters that go against the code and attack innocents?" She spun and tried to kick me, but missed.
"What does the beta mean to you anyways? He's a werewolf!" I struck out and sliced a small piece of her skin on her arms.
"His name." I threw a punch and then swept her feet out from underneath her. "Is Isaac." I went down to her in the side of the head with the blunt of my knife handle, but then I was caught up and staring into the Kanima's eyes.
Gerard stepped out of the shadows and said, "Not yet."
"Olivia!" That was Alex. Where the hell has he been? He was missing the fight. "Let her go you miniature Godzilla before I split you right up the middle."
"Alex. Just on time!" Gerard smiled.
"It all makes sense now." Scott stood up. "You wanted Derek because you're sick." I let my eyes drift over to where Gerard was standing. "You need the bite to cure your cancer."
"How about a bullet instead?" Alex asked. I heard his gun cock and was now ready and probably aimed at his head.
"Not so fast Doc Holliday." I felt the Kanima's tail wrap tighter around my neck. "You don't give me what I want and I'll kill her." There was a moment of silence and then the gun touching the floor.
I heard footsteps and then Alex starting to speak again. "Here. Is that what you want? Take it. Just let her go."
"Alex Davenport. If you give him the bite then I am going to personally kill you myself when I get out of this." It took me a few minutes to get all the words out, but I was able to get them out.
"Take it and let her go!" Alex demanded.
A few minutes later, my feet touched the ground and a pair of arms caught me before I collapsed onto the floor from the rush of air that filled my lungs.
I watched as black goo started to seep out of Gerards eyes and ears and nose. I was now able to stand up and I glanced down at the old man.
"His body is rejecting the bite."
The wall comes crashing down and Stile's jeep is the cause of it. Stiles rams the Kanima and carries him full force into a wall.
"Now!" I looked up and saw Andie standing in front of a group of hunters. "Remember he wants her unharmed." The men nodded and they all started to come after me.
I saw a glimpse of red hair come flying out of the jeep. But I couldn't concentrate on what Lydia was doing right now because I had a group of hunters coming my direction.
"What the hell is going?" Alex asked as he armed and readied himself while standing next to me.
"She's your girlfriend. You tell me." One guy came at me and I spun around and ducked his first blow.
"Did you really think that your father sent me here to collect and bring back Alex? He's just a pawn in his army of soldiers." Andie was now walking towards us as Alex and I both kept fighting.
"I told you she was crazy!" I screamed as we switched places and started fighting each other's men.
"I'm not crazy. I'm an obedient soldier. And I'm about to complete my mission."
"Which is what exactly?" I asked her as I took down my second man.
"Bringing you back to headquarters." Alex and I both froze. "That's right. You were my mission the entire time. You thought your dad would just let his only daughter, only child, go rogue? He wants you back."
"Well I'm not going back." I threw a knife at her, but she dodged it.
"Oh yes you are." She smiled.
"You'd have to get past me first, and we both know you don't have the skill to do that." Alex challenged her.
"I might not, but that arrow does." She pointed up and we were both shocked to see an arrow go flying and it punctured Alex's leg. "You'll feel a slight tingling feeling. But no worries, you will wake up in a few hours, just in time to see that you failed at protecting your precious Olivia."
I knelt down at Alex's side. He looked up at me. "I'm sorry… I should have believed you."
I leaned down and kissed his forehead. "You didn't do anything wrong."
"Kick her ass." He smiled at me before he passed out.
"Gladly." I grunted as I stood up.
"I told you that if you hurt him, I would kill you." I went full force at her. I slashed her leg and her arm and I went to stab her in the rib but she started to laugh.
"Did you really think I didn't have a plan b in case my men couldn't take you down?" She pointed in the air. "There's an arrow for you too." I looked down and saw a piece of an arrow protruding from my leg.
"You bitch." I fell to my knees. And looked up just in time to see Isaac's eyes as he started to wake up from the injuries that Allison had gave him.
"Olivia?" The world started to go black and I gave him a strong smile. "Olivia!"
