Chapter 26: Memories Regret

Narrator's POV:

"Elsword, you really should stop thinking wrong," the Deadly Chaser laughed as they walked up the stairs.

"You're the who made me think wrong!" Elsword growled at him. He was still kinda mad from the previous event.

"Well, that really got me, too. Not just him..." Aisha laughed nervously.

"Seriously? Does it sound that wrong?" Chung wondered.

"Well whatever just forget it," Elsword grunted as he slammed open the door. He stopped in his track, causing the other to bumped into him and stumbled backwards.

"Ow why did you stopped?" Chung whined as he rubbed his head. He looked over his friend's shoulder and found his answer.

"I'm sorry did we disturbed you 2?" Elsword asked as he raised an eyebrow at the 2, surprised and shocked at the same time. Rena and Raven was holding each other... Kissing?... On the bed!?

What the hell is happening!?

Rena quickly reacted and kicked Raven in between his legs by accident. He grunted as she murmured a quick sorry. She stood up and paced around nervously as Raven was still in pain. "It wasn't what it look like!"

"..." The 4 stared at her as they waited for an explanation.

"Well..."

Turn the time back to 30 minutes ago~

"..." Elsword stayed silence as a silence moment had fallen down in the room.

"Well I'll be downstairs..." He stood up and walked away, leaving the 2 awkward-looking people stood there, avoiding eye contacts with each other.

"S-so..." Rena cleared her voice. "Um.. How's life?"

He raised an eyebrow at her. "What kinds of question is that?"

"I don't know, a stupid one?" Feeling the pressure rushed up on her cheek for no reason, she turned away.

"It's alright I guess," he answered it anyway, which surprised the elf.

"Any troubles you're having?"

"No.." Where is she going with this? He thought silently as he observed her.

"Anything you need helped with?" Rena shifted from foot to foot, keeping her head down.

"Why do you even care?"

"Cause.. You always seem to have that same expression in your eyes." Her head were still down but her eyes had looked up at him worryingly.

"My eyes...?" Raven asked, clearly confused.

"Yes... It somewhat held sorrow and grief, like you had gone through a lot in the past." Raven stared at her, stunned.

Everything she said was right. He did gone through a lot in the past. That was why he had join this gang, so he could poured out all of his anger on his victims. He had never told anyone about his past or what and how he thinks. He always kept it to himself and never revealed. Cause no one need to know about it except he himself. But somehow staying in the room alone with this strange elf, he felt like his mind had changed. The way she said it like she was able to looked through him, into the most deepest part of his heart, parts that even he himself don't even know about. Sighing, Raven went over and sat on the bed. With elbows on his knees, he put his head in his hands and went still.

After a moment, he spoke up. "Rena, you look a lot like a girl I know 7 years ago... She was always so cheerful, she made everything around her a lot better and happier. It's like she have some kind of spell," he paused. "She was also the first person I had ever fallen in love with. But she was killed, and it's all my fault.." Hearing the story, Rena felt sadness started to weighted up on her.

Seeing he was shaken uncontrollably, she went over and kneeled down in front of him, she removed his hands away from his face and found out that tears had escaped from its prison that he had them locked up for... who know since. She smiled gently as she wiped the tears away with her hands. "It's the past, you should let it go. Don't blame yourself, it's probably not your fault, and she wouldn't want you to live your entire life suffering and remember about the past. The only reason why you can still remember it is because you held it back, you didn't try to let it go." Rena shifted around before wrapped her arms around his neck, embracing him. It was strange for Raven, he hadn't been hug for ages since his first love died. Raven hesitated before he bit his lips and returned the hug.

Then Rena pulled away and stood up, she held out a hand. Raven stared at it before he looked at her cheerful face. Something told him that he could trust her, he could rely on her, and he won't let her be taken away from him again. He grabbed her hand and she pulled him up.

"Start you life all over again, release all of the pain and grief you had held inside you, and start dealing with new life!" Rena laughed as she took a step back. For the first time in 3 weeks, he smiled and gave her a nod. Seeing that, she blushed as she stared at him.

"Your blushing," his smile soon turned into a grin.

"N-no I'm not!" Rena objected.

"Yea you are, maybe... You have feeling for me?"

Rena's cheek burned up to its max as she harshly pushed him back. He lost his balanced and fell down, but before he landed, he grabbed her wrist and dragged her down with him. She landed on top of him. Rena opened her eyes and realized that somewhere during the fall, their lips somehow met each other and... You know the rest.

"S-sorry!" Rena mumbled before she tried to got off but a hand held her back, prevent her from moving.

This feeling... A thought came into his mind as their lips met again. As he felt she was moving away, he quickly held her back. He hadn't really experience this feeling, and he wanted to know what it felt like.

Back to reality~

Well of course Rena left out some important facts but they don't need to know it.

"...Really? That was a very lame question to start with," Aisha facepalmed herself.

"Yea that was a horrible question," Chung nodded in agreement, seeing that Chung had nodded, Eve did the same.

"What!? You agreed too Eve!?" Rena asked in disbelief.

"Yea," Elsword said.

Really? They focused on the background instead of the important facts?.. Rena thought. Ah, whatever.

kyaa~ b2st week evar~! my crush called me a hero after i saved them (yes them, about 14 idiots) out of prison during Capture the Flag! seriously they really are idiots... 3 of them just rushed out right after the game started and get captured... *ahem* including my crush.. well anyway, EEEKK HE CALLED ME A HERO! *happy dance*
