With the finals of the Royal Knight Selection underway the battles had already begun.

"Sound Magic: Snap Break!"

Camilla snapped her fingers and blasted rubble up, to push Yuno back and try assaulting the other team's crystal only to have the water vortex Noelle had created block it.

"That's getting annoying Noelle." She laughed before holding her arms out and creating a sound barrier to forcefully block the wind Yuno had used.

She quickly turned her attention back to her squad mate.

"I'm supposed to be leaving Yuno to Rill but it's getting rather loud back there." Camilla looked over her shoulder "I think I'll have to knock you out and go help him then."

The swirling of the magic behind her began increasing exponentially.

"Alright Rill!" Camilla yelled "I'm doing that! Hold him off!"

"What is that." Noelle looked passed her.

"Eyes on me!" Camilla glared as her hair floated up and the pages on her book fluttered.

The magic concentrated in the air once again began to get more extreme, the ground cracking a bit.

"Whoa!" Charmy clapped "It's getting exciting!"

"Hmm." Vanessa looked up "Is that…"

"SOUND MAGIC: ASPECT OF THE BANSHEE!"

"She's using it!"

The pages in Camilla's Grimoire split and revealed a thickness not previously present.

"She's doing what?" Charmy asked.

"I haven't seen it in years." Vanessa said "That power of hers, the Banshee."

The black side of Camilla's hair suddenly bleached white like the other half, her fingernails looked sharper and more defined as a magical specter briefly appeared behind her, hands over it's face as a ghastly wail rang out from its mouth before it vanished.

Camilla opened her mouth and screeched so loudly no sound was actually created.

"Whoa!" Luck kicked his feet "So cool!"

"That's why Camilla is the Vice Captain." Vanessa smiled "Her magic isn't simple sound magic, it's actually Banshee magic. It's incredibly powerful when she utilizes it, but it drains her mana and her stamina drastically, it's also very hard to control and lashes out at everything around it.

With a flash the girl vanished from in front of Noelle and appeared beside her partner who was ready to attack Yuno.

"Ohh you did it who fun!" Rill smiled "This is the best day ever!"

"TUHS PU LLIR!" her voice distorted wildly as the air in front of her competed with sound.

"You know you're really hard to understand in this form!" he laughed

"DNUOS CIGAM: THEAD MAERCS!" She roared sending out a beam of sound energy to clash with the same attack Yuno and Rill threw out.

The magics clashed and exploded back before getting sucked back together.

"DNOUS CIGAM: TNELIS TSOHG ELOH!"

As Camilla sucked the magic into a void of nothing, Rill began to paint another spell when.

*SHATTER*

The force of their combined magic pressure shattered their crystal.

"TAHW?!" Camilla hissed.

"Uh-oh." Rill gulped.

"TEAM I Destroyed their own crystal!"

"LLIR SIHT SI ROUY TLUAF!" Camilla hissed grabbing him.

"Hey don't yell at me."

"TOIDI!" she groaned "LL'I LLIK OUY ROF SIHT-UGH!"

She grabbed her throat and coughed a bit as her hair started turning back to normal, her mouth kept moving to curse out Rill but no words were coming out. The major side effect of using the Aspect of the Banshee is that it utterly strains the user's vocal chords and destroys their ability to speak or use any magic they might need to generate from the mouth for the next 24 hours, more or less making it a last-ditch effort kind of spell.

"This…sucks." Camilla wheezed out rubbing he throat uncomfortably.

A FEW DAYS LATER

Camilla's POV

"I'm taking these three." Mereoleona showed up one day and took Noelle, Luck and Asta.

"Have fun with them." I smiled.

"There was supposed to be another." She said "Not you…I want you here."

"Hmm?" I looked at her.

"While the Royal Knights are important we still need strong ones back here, and with Rill, Kirsch and that other guy coming with me that already leaves us down a few Captains and Vice-Captains, so you staying back here will be important."

"It's fine it's not like I wanted to go anyway." I huffed a bit "HMPH!"

She bonked my head "Still…not a bad showing, good job not holding back."

"It takes me out for so long I can only use it when I'm totally out of options, plus it's murder on my voice" I rubbed my neck a bit "I'm still feeling raspy."

"So?" she shrugged "Doesn't hurt to have some tricks up your sleeve."

She poked the ring on my necklace "He usually did."

"Hmm." I held it before I smiled "I learned a lot from him."

"I wish his idiot friend could have learned more from him too." She groaned.

"Raphael is nice." I giggled.

"You don't have to live with him." She glared down at me "We need to get going."

"I'll hold down the home front." I saluted her "Oh and that missing guy, don't worry about him…he shows up when it counts."

Lots of big stuff planned for the next arc, which is why I was in the mood to do a quick wrap up now. Also yeah in Banshee Mode Camilla speaks backwards…it's really hard to write like that lol, but I think it give a good idea for the "Warped" effect that it puts on her voice and the unnatural sounds she'd be making.
