"You bought a boat?" Kagome now stood with her swimsuit on ready to go.
He offered his hand to help her down into it.
"I have many boats; this one is borrowed."
She sat down "Where are we going?"
"You will see soon" He got behind the wheel and took off. They rode across the vast ocean under beautiful weather, and soon Kagome could see land.
"Are we going to another island?" She called,
He said nothing but kept driving, and soon they were docking at the small island. It was beautiful. Lush palms, sandy white beach, clear water.
As they got closer, Kagome could see a figured and wondered if Kikyo and Inuyasha had been waiting. She placed her hand over her eyes to shield the sun and squinted.
It wasn't Kikyo.
Sesshomaru pulled up the small wooden dock and helped Kagome out.
"Welcome," The woman said with a bow.
Kagome knew that voice.
"Shall we show her around?" The woman asked with a sly smile.
Kagome swallowed, she knew that voice, it was the woman from the bar.
"This way then" The women turned and began to walk, and Sesshomaru began to follow. Kagome quickly followed trying to hide her shock. The woman started talking but Kagome wasn't really listening, she was rather focused on the woman's fake laugh.
They took a sandy path through lush island vegetation "As you can see it is a privet island."
Soon they stopped.
"And the main attraction of the island" The woman waved her hand and Kagome looked up to see a house. It was like a tree house in the fact that it was built within the trees. The outer walls were windows, and the house was round.
"Why don't you take a look," The woman said to Kagome. Kagome looked at Sesshomaru.
"I have already seen it" He stated, which meant he wasn't coming. Kagome looked back at the house then back at him "Are we staying here or something?"
"I may buy it."
"The house?" She asked,
"No dear, the whole island" The woman cut in, she then laughed "Well my Lord, seems your wife doesn't know how much you're really worth."
Kagome blushed.
"I think that's adorable."
Kagome turned away and made her way to the wooden steps to go up and into the house. The house was beautiful and the view was out of this world. She could see around the island and the sun painted against the sea. She stepped out on the one of the balconies and enjoyed the island breeze.
In all honesty, she loved it.
"What do you think Miko."
Kagome turned to him "Where did she go?"
"She is waiting downstairs."
"Why is she here?"
Sesshomaru rose an eyebrow "Her father owns this island at the present time."
Kagome looked away "When did you have time to see all this?"
"Last night."
Kagome went stiff. Last night? Was that why he just got in when he did?
"Why do you want to buy it?"
"I want privacy."
"Well, what do we think" The woman joined them.
Kagome said nothing at first.
"Do you plan to come here often?" She asked,
"Perhaps" He stated.
Sesshomaru didn't like the way Kagome was acting, something was wrong, off.
"It's nice," She said, "Though you don't need my approval."
"I wasn't asking permission woman."
The woman looked between them as it got silent.
"So, shall I draw up the paperwork with my father? We can sign over drinks tomorrow."
Sesshomaru stared at the back of Kagome's head "Indeed."
"Wonderful" She bowed "I will see myself out."
"I will walk you to your boat" He offered.
Kagome's jaw clenched as he walked down the stairs with her. She didn't know why but jealous was running through her like wildfire. She went back out to the balcony and watched as Sesshomaru offered his hand to help the woman back into the boat. She bowed to him, and he stood there and watched as the woman's boat sailed away.
Kagome's mind was rolling. Her husband and that woman came to this island at an ungodly hour last night to look? That in her mind made no sense.
When he returned to her in the house, she could not stop her mouth "You like her"
"What does my favor of her person have to do with anything."
Kagome bit her lip and then turned to look at him "Do you plan taking a mate."
He showed no emotion or shock to her question. But he didn't like where this was going. "Come, we are returning."
"Why did you even bring me here, it's like you said you don't need my permission."
He narrowed his eyes slightly at her tone.
"It seems you already made up your mind last night when you came with her."
"Enough, come we are leaving."
He turned to go.
"I know I'm just your human wife Sesshomaru, but I'm not stupid."
He paused,
"If your going to mix business with pleasure make sure I don't know, I don't want to know."
He turned and glared at her "Trust me, woman, had I you wouldn't know."
Kagome snorted "She was willing."
He was turning his lip up to show fangs though he didn't realize it.
"I just want to know, is she going to be the woman to give them to you?"
He instantly knew what she was referring to. She had heard them.
