I am not Dauntless I am Divergent

No war. Tris struggles to fit into Dauntless as Six, she begins to find out who she really is. Is she Tobias' lover? Christina's friend? Eric's enemy? Is she Dauntless, really? The answer is no. Tris is Divergent, and can't be controlled. Rated T for unexpected twists that may come into play and I want the rating to be correct; minor swearing.

26. Chapter 26

A/N: I 'm sorry I was gone for such a long time... I've been busy on trips and stuff, and the only reason I can write today is because I got 3 teeth pulled and I can't do anything because 1). The numbing stuff is still in effect so I can't really talk anyway, and 2). because even though I got numbed, it hurt. A lot. So, I'm kind of just sitting here. You might want to go back and reread the last chapter to know what's going on. I know I did!

Tobias POV

After Tris walks away from Zeke and I, Tina trailing her, I turn back to the traitor.

"Really? Why? Why did you have to do it in public, at my wedding? The only thing holding me back from bashing your head in is the fact that I don't want blood on my hands on my wedding day. Why didn't you say it just to me and Tris, or just to me? Why did you say it at all?You've known her almost as long as I have."

"I-"

"I don't want to hear it. Meet me at the edge of the chasm in two days, at noon. That's it. Leave."

For a moment, he looked like he was going to say something, defend himself maybe. Then he decided against it, and turned tail to scamper away. I want to go punch something, but I figure Tris probably needs as much support as she can get, and being with her will calm me down. Maybe. I start down the trail that she walked down, breaking into a run just as she must have. How she managed to walk for this long, I will never know.

After a while, I start to hear sobs, and, figuring it's Tris, I sprint toward the miserable sound. I get closer and closer, and then Christina comes into view. I can only assume that Tris is on the other side of her; she is so small that she can be hidden by her best friend. Sure enough, as I make my presence known, Christina uncurls and looks up at me. She whispers something to Tris and she stands up, with the help of Tina. She gives her a watery smile, and I open my arms as she falls into them. I press my lips to her forehead and we just stand there, for a long time.
