SO I realized after I sent the last chapter to my beta that I completely forgot to write Buyo in at all... So for all intents and purposes he was back at the Western Shiro...and he will be joining up in this chapter again. Beta: "sorry for the forever long feeling update. I was studying for finals." ANYWAYS ON WITH THE STORY! I DO NOT OWN INUYASHA!

Things had definitely been tense since she had slipped the subduing command onto her stubborn mate. He had spent the last few days growling, and demanding that she take it off of him. Which she refused to do since he could not seem to remember his promise to not kill anyone over her. So things were at an impasse between them, though the shard hunting was not much better. They had only found one shard in the last few days and it even had her bummed, and let us not get into how Inuyasha was acting about it... He was stomping around pissing and moaning that Naraku was gonna get all of the shards and kill them because she had to be a good Samaritan. It had pissed her off and she had sat him to hell, he still was not walking right after that.

She thought that nothing could change her mood, but that all changed when she sensed a familiar youki approaching them. Kirara even jumped up on her shoulder to wait while she just stopped in the middle of the road. Soon enough Buyo's large form could be seen descending from the sky, and she held out her arms to catch him when he morphed mid air. "Buyo I missed you! Why did you stay at the Western shiro for so long?"

He just mewed and butted his head into her hand, before he turned and nuzzled Kirara.

"Well at least you two are happy to see each other again... When do we get kittens out of you?" She giggled, though neither of them stopped nuzzling each other. It was so cute to watch the two of them together...

"OI WENCH ARE YOU GONNA STAND THERE AND WATCH THE CATS ALL DAY? OR ARE YOU GOING TO MOVE YOUR ASS!?" Inuyasha shouted disturbing the relative silence.

She turned to face her friend and glare at him heatedly. "Inuyasha shut up!"

"Oi wench don't tell me to shut up! You're already in the shit house as it is!" Inuyasha snickered flashing a look back and forth between her, and Touga.

"Yes my pup is right mate, you are in the shit house. At least until you take this infernal kotodama off of me." Touga growled sending her a threatening look.

"Hmm nope! You cannot seem to be a good boy so the kotodama will stay!" She chirped stalking off down the road, and even patting Touga's butt as she passed by. "Mmmm..."

"Kagome..."

"NO! You promised me that you would not take your over protectiveness too far and you did! The ookami was harmless and you still tried to kill him! This is your punishment!" She snapped irritated with him for acting like a child.

"KAGOME..."

"Tougaaaaaaa..." She drawled back just to show him how annoying it was. "You think it is amusing to punish me, but it is not funny when you are the one being punished is it?" With that she proceeded to ignore him, instead focusing her attention on Buyo. Jeez inu males and acting like spoiled children...

"Where are we goin anywhere wench?" Inuyasha inquired coming up alongside her.

"Mmm well I was thinking that we could go and see Kaede..." She mused quietly. In truth she did want to see how the old miko was holding up since Kikyo's resurrection. But of course she had to okay it with their alpha... So she turned to her mate and plastered on her best smile. "Touga can we go and see Kaede?"

"Hn." He huffed and scowled at her.

"Well that settles it! Come on Buyo let us go hm?"

Buyo just mewed and jumped from her arms, and in a flash of yellow sparks he sat before her in his larger form.

She scrambled onto his back while Kirara jumped off to go assist Sango, and Miroku. Shippo quickly found purchase on her shoulder and she hurriedly urged Buyo up.

"Is papa really mad at you mama?" Shippo questioned looking towards the big Dai when he took to the air with Inuyasha on his youki cloud.

"Yes but he will get over it..." Though she was unsure if he actually would... Perhaps she would need to talk to him after they reached Kaede's?

It turns out that it was not that easy... Touga would not stop to talk to her, instead he would shoot her a scathing look every time she tried to engage him in conversation. She understood that his pride was hurt, but he did not seem to understand, or care about how she felt about useless violence. It was one thing when the violence was deserved, and there was no other choice, but to attack a male just for looking at your female... Well as a human woman with human sensibilities, it was just silly, and she would not tolerate it. So if he wanted to throw a fit, and at like a spoiled child so be it.

Late in the day found her helping Kaede in her herb garden while the others were off doing who knew what. The silence actually was much appreciated, the elder miko was not one for senseless chatter... She actually reminded her of Master...

"Is something bothering you child?"

She perked up from her work and turned to face Kaede's aged face. "Oh...well I was thinking about Master...and Touga..."

Kaede nodded understandingly while she plucked several weeds from the garden. "I saw that he had a kotodama similar to Inuyasha's hanging around his neck. Was that your doing?"

"Yes..." She trailed off pausing in her work to gather her thoughts. "He just...he is always so quick to become violent with other men... And as a miko I cannot abide by senseless violence... But he just will not understand that so I had to subdue him..."

"And he did not take it well did he?"

"No he did not... But how can I just let him go around killing others because they looked at me appraisingly? I mean as long as they do not touch what is the problem?"

"Touga is not a human Kagome, his sensibilities are different than yours. When another male shows an interest in you, his instincts demand that he react with violence."

"I know but..."

"No child, no excuses. Ye knew what you were getting yourself into when ye fell in love with a demon. Demons are violent by nature, and a challenge like the one that the ookami cub presented could only be responded to with violence. In fact I suspect that the ookami will be back at some point because of the fact that ye prevented Touga from answering his challenge. He is angry at ye and for good reason, at least in his mind."

She was quiet as she absorbed all of that. So he was angry at her for denying him the right to defend his claim over her...and she had only encouraged Koga to pursue her as well... Maybe she owed Touga an apology. "Do you think that he would forgive me if I tried to apologize to him?"

"He loves ye child." Kaede answered her with a knowing smile. "Go to him and explain why ye did what ye did. The same way that you must understand his sensibilities as a demon, he must understand yours as a human."

"Thank you Kaede-sama." She smiled gratefully and stood to go and find Touga. Thankfully he was not too far from her so it only took her several moments of walking through the forest to find him. He was nestled into a small glade not too far from the village, and it was obvious looking at him that he was sulking. So she gathered her courage and stepped into the small clearing, shuddering when his attention instantly shot over to her. "Uhhh could I talk to you for a moment?"

"Hn." Though he made no move to beckon her over to him.

She did not say anything but his behavior hurt her, though she surmised that he was probably still hurting over the whole Koga situation. So she stayed where she was on the other side of the clearing from him. "Touga I came to apologize for what I did the other day." She paused to give him a chance to respond to her, but he did not. "I should not have done what I did when Koga was mouthing off to you, I know that now. So if you would like I can remove the kotodama now..." Silence fell over them as she waited on bated breath for him to say something, anything at all.

"You showed a blatant lack of respect for your mate with your actions."

She winced at the flat tone of voice he used when speaking to her, though she deserved it. "I am sorry...I just did not want to see more bloodshed."

"Bloodshed is sometimes necessary when dealing with demons mate. It is the way that we establish our ties to each other, and dominance. When you did what you did it was like you were encouraging the ookami to pursue you despite my claim, and that is how he will take it. Until I defeat him in battle he will continue to pursue you now."

"I do not care what he wants!" She shouted getting angry at being viewed as an object. "I AM KAGOME THE SHIKON MIKO AND MATE OF THE WESTERN LORD! I DO NOT, AND WILL NOT EVER WANT ANYONE ELSE! WHEN I PLAY I PLAY FOR KEEPS AND KOGA HAD BEST LEARN THAT BEFORE I PURIFY HIM WHERE IT REALLY HURTS!" She panted after getting all of that out.

"It matters not what you do to him." Touga growled getting up and stalking towards her to tower over her. "A male must defend his mate, I must respond to any claims over you, not you!"

"But why?! Why does it have to be this way? Why can I not make my choice and have others accept it? Why do you all view me as some sort of object? I am a human being goddamnit!" She cursed at herself, this was not how she wanted to do this. "I love you..why can that not be enough?"

Golden eyes softened at her distress before he gathered her into his arms. "It is enough for me love, to know that you would choose me over anyone else... But demons do not always give a female the choice, and that is why I must defend my claim from other males who would try and steal you."

"Even if someone managed to defeat you, I would never take them over you...I would kill them first."

She felt him lean down and bury his face into her hair. "I know...but I never want to put you in a position like that love. That is why I must defend my claim from others. Please try and understand my instincts." He mumbled into the crown of her head.

"I do not like fighting if it can be avoided... I know that it does not make sense as I am a warrior miko but...I hate fighting..."

"I know." He responded with a hint of sorrow in his voice. "Sometimes it is necessary though."

She pressed herself further into his chest and held him as tightly as she dared. "I understand...But can you promise me that you will not kill if it can be avoided?"

He pulled her back and met her gaze evenly. "I cannot promise you that love, for if anyone should push me too much I cannot be held accountable for the actions of my beast. I am sorry for the sorrow that I have caused you, and that which I have not yet caused you." And he was, she could see it clearly in his eyes as he bent down and pressed his lips against hers.

She melted into the kiss hands coming up to fist in his hair to hold him to her, as she tilted her head and forced her tongue into his mouth. First she lavished attention over his fangs cutting her tongue over the sharp edges, before she rubbed the bloody appendage over his long tongue.

He shuddered violently and grabbed the ties in her hakamas ripping them off.

"Touga you are ripping my clothes!" She admonished breaking away from the kiss and staring down at her destroyed hakama bindings.

"Hn. They can be replaced love." And with that he reached up and tore at her haori taking it clean off of her shoulders, before he pushed her down to lay on the forest floor.

"Uhhh I was going to take that kotodama off of you..." She panted out as she watched him strip out of his clothes, heat pooling between her legs with every inch of revealed skin.

"It can wait..." He grinned ferally, the last article of his clothing coming off to pool at the ground near his feet.

How did she come out her to apologize, and end up here? But as his muscled body came to rest skin to skin with her she moaned and promptly forgot to care how it happened. And when his large clawed hands pulled her hips up to open her up to him, and his length slid into her tight channel she felt as if the air had been sucked from her lungs. "Oh!"

Eyes tinged red stared down at her before he gave a vicious thrust of his hips into hers. And at her responding cry his feral grin widened before he started pounding into her, groaning, and grunting with every movement.

She gasped and arched her hips up into his, reveling in the sharp penetrations, and the warm jolts caused every time he hit her womb. Each thrust was vicious bordering on painful, but oh every single move felt so good. So good that she wrapped her legs around his ass and forced him deeper. "Should I take this as forgiveness?" She moaned hands coming up to wrap around his neck to release him from the kotodama.

"Yes!" He snarled pulling her hips up so that she was suspended in the air, and completely at his mercy. Once he had her in that position he went wild, slamming his hips into her so hard that she was unable to even scream.

Though she still had semblance of mind to rip the kotodama off of his neck before she lost herself completely. It fell somewhere to the side and she submerged herself in the searing pleasure that he was bestowing her with. Every drive of his length into her body left a searing trail of heat that only increased on the next pass of his length over her heated insides. She desperately wanted to thrust back, to move or do something but she was completely at his mercy. "Please..."

"Please what love?" He growled out on a particularly ferocious thrust.

"Please let me move!" She pleaded gyrating her hips as much as the position allowed. In a second she found herself on her hands and knees, his body never leaving hers. She screamed in elation and backed herself into him as hard as she could. Over and over again their bodies met as a thin sheen of sweat coated her skin. She was completely lost in the pleasure as she rocked back into him taking him as deep as her body could.

"Good bitch..." He grunted fisting her hair and pulling at it.

She squealed as she was yanked back so that her back rested against his chest as he pumped into her, he yanked her head to the side and crashed his mouth to hers harshly. One of his hands came up to viciously kneaded her right breast, and she felt as if she would pass out. The heat pooled up in her stomach and she desperately grasped onto his neck, her fingers digging into the soft flesh making him thrust erratically, and growl. His other hand snaked down her body first ghosting over the other breast to pull at it, before it continued its' descent down her body to where her womanhood was, and once it was there he rubbed the sensitive bundle of nerves harshly. Her body quaked as the sharp jolt of pleasure caused the tight coil in her stomach to break, and she came screaming in a vicious torrent of pleasure, and pain.

He joined in with her several seconds later, growling, and latching onto her neck as he spilled his essence into her.

Best apology ever...She mused as he took her weary body down to rest on her shredded clothes. She doubted that she would be able to walk tomorrow...

"Where have you two been?" Miroku asked him and his mate when they returned to the hut later that night.

"You don't wanna know monk..." Inuyasha muttered shuddering in disgust.

While his son, and the monk were busy making faces at them he led his female over to the fireside near the elderly miko, and Sango. Shippo, Kirara, and Buyo had already succumbed to sleep so he was careful to be quiet.

"Did ye talk everything out with your love child?" Kaede asked knowingly.

Kagome just blushed and looked down at the floor of the hut. "We talked..."

"Ah yes we did talk...and I finally got her to remove that blasted kotodama from my person." He smirked...along with other things... Though he did not say that out loud. "I believe that she understands demon behavior much better now...Right love?"

"Y-yes! I understand!" And her face broke out in a vicious blush as she fidgeted.

"Hn. Get some sleep love, we will be heading out tomorrow morning at first light."

"Ok..." She moved to the mat that she was sharing with Shippo, and she fell asleep in moments.

"Can't you and the wench bathe after you do that shit?" Inuyasha grumbled a light blush dusting his cheeks. "Soon the kit's gonna know what that stink is...and then you two are gonna be in for it!"

"What are you even going on about?" Sango asked from where she was polishing hirakotsu.

"Our friend is saying that if Touga-sama, and Kagome-sama are going to partake in carnal affairs...they should be more inconspicuous about it..." Miroku supplied with a devious smile before he looked at Sango lecherously. "We could partake as well my dear Sango...I am sure that y-!"

BAM! And Miroku was now out cold from a bash on the head from hirakotsu.

"You damn lecher!" Sango hissed bonking the downed monk one more time for good measure.

"The monk has a point pops! Stop bringin the stink with you after you're done! It's disgusting!"

"Boy I will do whatever I want to do with my mate, so mind your own business." He leaned back against the wall next to Kagome's feet and pinned his youngest with a stern look.

"Keh! Whatever! Gag us all why don'cha?" Inuyasha grumbled before he leaned back to go to sleep.

All throughout the next day the others kept giving her strange looks, all except for the two nekos, and Shippo, and Touga... No Touga just looked like he was amused beyond belief about something... "What do you think happened last night Buyo?" She asked the little neko.

He just mewed at her and nestled down into her arms to sleep.

Well he was a big help... She quickened her pace to walk next to Touga and cast him a scrutinizing look. "Touga why is everyone acting so odd?"

"No reason love." He answered her with a big smirk on his face.

"Liar..." She muttered slapping his arm with her hand. "You should not lie to your lover Touga...I may just cut you off..." Not likely but if it got him to open up to her...

As expected he did not like that implication at all, so he stopped completely and pulled her into his chest in the middle of the road. "Do not threaten to cut me off from your body love...it will not end good for you..." He threatened tightening his hold around her back.

"Uhh o-okay..." She stuttered too hot to even care that everyone else was watching them with varying degrees of amusement, and disgust.

"Good girl." He purred before releasing her and taking her arm to pull her along with him. "Now if you must know they were informed by Inuyasha about our affairs last night..."

A gasp escaped her lips and she swiftly turned and threw a glare at Inuyasha. "Inuyasha you jerk! How could you tell people that?"

"Keh! What did I do wench?! I wasn't the one that came back smelling like eight barrels full of sex!" Inuyasha groused, though there was some amusement on his face at her discomfort. "And the old man coulda avoided the whole thing if he had made you two bathe before returning, but he likes the smell of hot sex all over you...yuck!"

"How dare yo-did you just say yuck?" She giggled despite her embarrassment. "What are you a five year old girl?"

"Whoa wench don't you even change the subject! You are the one that smells like sex!" Inuyasha shot back blushing fiercely.

She opened her mouth to tell him off but a tingling in her senses had her whirling around to the east. "Jewel shards! We will have to save the argument for later!"

Seconds later a whirlwind appeared in the distance and closed in rapidly, tearing its way into the group to where she stood. Once it dissipated Koga stood there with her hands grasped in his and a flirtatious smirk on his face, that promptly fell off when he smelled he. "Oi! Who the fuck was fucking my woman?!"

"I am not your woman!" She protested yanking on her hands to loosen them, though that only made him grip them tighter. "Let go of me already! Touga will kick your ass if you do not!"

"I don't care who your mate is! I don't even care that you are mated! You're my woman I claimed you!" Koga persisted causing silence to fall around them.

A loud snarl broke the silence as a white blur shot between them and knocked Koga back. Touga crouched down claws extended, and hackles raised against the challenger of his claim. "SHE IS MINE! YOU DARE TO CHALLENGE MY CLAIM?! I WILL KILL YOU!"

And Koga proved just how brain dead he was with his response. With a groan he sat up from the ground and glared right back at the large inu. "Well I claimed her too! SO SHE'S MINE!" And with that he launched himself at the large inu.

But Touga seemed in no mood to play with the ookami today because he lashed out with his lightning whip and knocked him through a thick patch of trees. Which resulted in one knocked out Koga.

"Ummm did that really just happen?" Kagome sweatdropped at the now unconscious ookami. And he thought to challenge Touga over her when he was that weak? "Should we leave him here?"

Sango, and Miroku nodded while Inuyasha just lost himself completely and fell to the ground laughing.

"KEH! WHAT A PUSSY OOKAMI! ONE HIT FROM THE OLD MAN'S WHIP KNOCKED HIS ASS CLEAN OUT!" He dissolved into another fit of laughter that had him rolling around the ground like an insane person.

Which is why she almost missed it when Touga moved over to the downed ookami menacingly. But she remembered what they had talked about yesterday so she just watched him with sad eyes. She did not want him to kill the ookami over her, but he was demon, and demons did things differently than humans...

Surprisingly enough Touga did not immediately kill the idiot, no he just lifted him up to where he could see his face clearly, and waited until Koga's eyes cracked open in consciousness. "From this day forward you will never challenge my claim again ookami. Do you understand?"

Koga just growled weakly in response.

"I said do you understand? Or do we need to have another lesson in dominance boy?" Touga returned the growl with a thundering one of his own. "The only reason that you will live this day is because my mate dislikes senseless killing! I am only saving her from having to see this sight! Now I will ask you again boy! DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!" He gave Koga a vicious shake to prove that he was not playing.

"Yeah yeah..." Koga coughed though the glare never left his face.

"Good." And with that Touga dropped the ookami to the ground and rejoined their group. "The ookami should trouble you no more love." He told her while he offered her his arm.

She took it and smiled up at him. "Good! But should we get the jewel shards now that he is weakened?"

"Hn. I had forgotten about that in the heat of the moment..." He muttered distractedly.

Though when they turned back to Koga he was gone, and by the feel of the kehai of the jewel shards he was far away, and still moving fast... "Well there is no point in going after him now, he is too far away."

"I could go and retrieve them...the ookami cannot outrun me..." Touga smiled menacingly and cracked his knuckles.

"No no! That is okay! I am sure that we will meet up with him again someday soon!" She tugged him away from the direction that Koga was in, though he was resisting. So thinking fast she leaned up so that she could speak directly in his ear. "If you come with me now I will do that little thing with my tongue that you like so much tonight..."

He stiffened against her and rumbled low in his chest. "Persuasive little bitch..." He groaned before he whisked her into his arms and led the group down the road.

Huh...Well at least she knew for sure that Touga was as horny as any man, and baiting him with sexual favors was proving to be most useful...She would have to remember that in the future...
