Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians or the Heroes of Olympus. I don't own anything written by Rick Riordan.

Author's Note: Please review. I really want to know what you all think of my writing. Constructive criticism will be especially appreciated. Please give me some. That sort of is the point of me writing on FanFiction. Anyways, thanks to everyone that's been encouraging me. What do you guys say to getting me to 290 reviews this time, with at least three of them having constructive criticism? Here's the chapter of the week.

Chapter 26

Percy POV

When Poseidon flashed back into the throne room, he seemed surprised to find that his family was getting along - laughing, even. Separating herself from Amphitrite and Triton, Percy swam over to her father to give him a hug.

The sea god reciprocated the gesture and said, "I thought I would come back to find you three at each others throats! Why are you so... family-like? Not that I'm unhappy about it, but..."

The three glanced at each other, silently deciding on what to say. They couldn't tell Poseidon the whole truth. Percy refused to hurt her father like that. He would blame himself for all the pain Percy had gone through as a child.

"We settled our differences, father," Triton finally said. "We had a long conversation and finally realized that we needed to act like a family instead of enemies."

Poseidon nodded and opened his mouth to ask another question.

Percy hurried to interrupt him, not wanting to have to lie to her father if he asked a question she couldn't answer. "Dad, I need to get back. I was just waiting for you, so I could say bye."

"Are you sure?" asked Poseidon, face falling. "You could spend the night."

Percy nodded, biting her lip. "I'm sure. The council decided I need to sped two weeks with Ares, remember? Uncle Zeus would probably get upset if I didn't follow the council's wishes."

"You are one of us, now," reminded Poseidon. "You can do what you want without fear of retribution."

The green-eyed goddess shook her head. "I don't know the extent of my godly powers yet. I only know how to flash and use the powers I retained from when I was a demigoddess."

Poseidon's eyes widened in realization. "You haven't had proper training, yet, have you? One of these days, you should come down here, and I'll show you the complete extent of your powers."

"Great! Thanks," said Percy, smiling. "But I really need to go, now. It's getting late."

"Of course."

Percy waved to the sea gods and closed her eyes to leave, when a pair of arms wrapped around her. She opened her eyes to find her brother hugging her.

"I'm going to be the over protective brother, remember? That includes hugging you every time you leave and thoroughly embarrassing you shows of affection," Triton murmured quietly.

A smile crept over Percy's face as she hugged him back. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

The two sibling pulled away from each other and after stifling her laughter at Poseidon's shocked face, Percy flashed herself to her temporary rooms.

The green-eyed goddess washed the makeup off her arms and changed her clothes. Just as she was about to get into bed, a knock sounded on the door.

"Coming!" called Percy, moving to the door and pulling it open. "Hey, Ares."

"Percy," greeted the war god.

"Come in," said Percy, leading the black-haired god to her bed where the two sat next to each other.

"How did the conversation with Ariadne go?" asked Ares.

"It helped," replied the goddess of tides, abstractly. She didn't want to think about what Ariadne had said until she was alone. "Did anything interesting happen to you, today?"

"Well, Apollo told me that Athena wants you to come by her palace sometime to check out the architectural designs for your palace," explained Ares.

Percy nodded. "I'll go tomorrow..." She looked up at the war god. "Thank you."

Ares's brow furrowed in confusion. "What for?" he asked.

"For telling Triton and Amphitrite about me," replied Percy. "And I'm sorry for being so rude and angry yesterday."

Ares shook his head gently, placing his hand on Percy's. "You had the right to be mad. I went behind your back and broke your trust."

Percy shrugged, glad that Ares really hadn't minded her outburst the day before. "Maybe. But still, thank you for telling them."

"I take it that they have made amends with you," said tall war god, smiling.

"Yeah." Percy nodded. "They asked for a second chance. They want me to be a part of their family."

"That's great!" exclaimed Ares.

Percy sighed happily, in agreement.

"Does this mean that I'm forgiven for going behind your back?" asked Ares uncertainly.

Percy bit her lip and nodded, hoping she wouldn't regret her forgiveness. Her fatal flaw often clouded her judgment and she hoped that wasn't the case with this decision.

"Good." Ares pulled the sea goddess into a light hug. "You won't regret this."

Percy hugged him back, slightly hesitant. The two remained in the position for a few moments, before Ares let go, although he kept an arm around her.

"You should sleep," the black-haired god finally said, reluctantly getting up from the comfortable position they were in.

Percy looked up at her friend questioningly.

"It's pretty obvious that you didn't sleep well last night. There are heavy bags under your eyes." Ares gestured towards Percy's face.

Percy ducked her head, embarrassed. She thought that she had done a better job covering the dark bags up with makeup, but apparently not. Then again, Ares had spent a lot of time with her that day - it wouldn't be surprising if he had noticed her exhaustion from her body language. "I'm fine," lied Percy, waving her hand dismissively.

Ares gave her a disbelieving look. "Somehow, I don't quite believe that. Now, I'm leaving and you're sleeping. Understood?"

Percy gave a small smile, amused by the way the war god was ordering her around. She rolled her eyes. "Fine!"

Ares stood and headed for the door. Just before he closed it, he murmured, "Good night."

"Good night!" came Percy's muffled reply, sleep already overtaking the goddess.

A/N: I wasn't sure I'd ever get this chapter done! I got super side tracked reading a bunch of PJO and Avengers crossovers, this week. I even ignored all the stories I'm following! (I'm rolling my eyes in disgust at myself.)

Anyways, several people have mentioned they want a chapter that involves the Seven. I'll give you one within the next two chapters. Other than that, are there any other loose ends?

I've published Fire to the Rain. For those of you who don't know, it's the companion to this story. It's about why Anthony cheats on Percy. Please read it. The winner of the competition for the title of that story was hoOPJO. hoOPJO has requested a Valdangelo one-shot. Be expecting that sometime soon. The second chapter of Fire to the Rain will come out on Monday or Tuesday.

Happy Halloween and please review!
