KORRA

I saw Mako and Bo sparring outside and groaned sitting in the stupid pose Lin was making me stay in. My feet were bare and spread in dirt in the garage. "How is this supposed to help me?" I asked again.

"Don't argue. Just focus on the dirt." She snapped and I ground my teeth before just wiggling my toes. "Stop that." She snapped again and I clenched my jaw.

"This isn't helping anything!" I shouted moving out of the dirt, and towards my boots.

"Korra get back here!" Lin shouted finally when she realized I didn't want to just sit down for a moment, but I was actually leaving the stupid training ground she set up this morning while I was still asleep.

"All I am doing in standing in dirt." I shouted back as I walked towards the gate. A boulder appeared to keep it closed and I looked back to see Bolin in his stance, Mako walking towards me and Lin putting on a heavy jacket as she followed my footsteps.

"You need to do this stuff Korra. Lin is just teaching you how she was taught." Mako told me and I rolled my eyes.

"Standing in a stance for house with my toes in dirt, isn't how she learned, it's how she is punishing me for leaving." I shouted and blew a breath out before making an ice block rise up and pushed the boulder out of the way and then opened the gate before walking through the trees as fast as I could.

I walked for a long time, not caring that I was getting way too far from the mansion. I got to the tundra and froze when I saw a shape running towards me. I held still just to show that I caused it no harm and it stopped running but walked slowly towards me. I raised my hand when the black nose started sniffing closer to me.

It nuzzled my hand and I smiled at the polar bear and brought my other hand up to it's head and scratched its face. "You're very friendly." I told it and it licked my chin. "Do you want to come with me to the cliff?" I asked it and started walking where I was going, and it nudged me in a circle before bending it's knees. "Do you want me to ride you?" I asked and it stayed poised like that and I took that as a yes.

I got on, carefully and balled my fists in it's fur and it took off walking the same way I had been and I smiled at the smart animal. I huddled into my coat and couldn't help the smile that rose on my lips when the cliffs came into vision.

"You are such a smart-" I stopped as I got off of it and looked just to be sure. "Girl. You're a girl. A very smart girl." I said coming around to scratch her head and chin. I sat on the edge and she laid just behind me until the snow came down in sheets. She took me back to the gate after about an hour of walking, she whined, I think that was what polar bears do. Whine?

I looked around, seeing no cars, and the garage all closed up so I thought why not? I opened the gate farther and she walked inn sniffing around before turning on me and licking my face.

"Okay, come over here." I said tapping my thighs like she was a little dog and she followed me towards the garage. If I let her sleep here, and live in here, then I don't have to have any dirt between my toes anymore. I used a little of the snow to make a bed for her. I made a bowl as well and then liquefied a bit of water for her before telling her to wait here. I closed the garage door and then went to the door that opened the door to the house.

"Oh I thought I heard someone in here." I stilled at Asami's face and then smiled before closing the door behind me as fast as possible.

"Yeah, thought I should just come through here just incase the front door was locked. I didn't leave the keys in the pot." I told her and nodded towards the rest of the house and she followed me.

"So I talked with Mako last night." She told me and I nodded and waited for something more. "Do you want to help me?" She asked and I stopped and looked at her.

"Help you with what exactly?"

"Well, Mako and Bo are in town for right now, Tenzin will preform the service, and Pema is with the kids getting a cake." She told me and I was still not catching on.

"And you need me for what exactly."

"To set up the alter." I froze and looked at her with wide eyes. "I know, but we didn't get married without Mako, and now that we are here, I don't want to wait. I know Bolin, and he has no idea what is going on." She told me with a wide smile and I just nodded.

"Doesn't this usually happen between the guys? You know, Bo would want to get married here to be all romantic and marry you?" I asked and she laughed.

"He wants me to have the perfect wedding in a church, but I don't care about all that stuff. I want it to be with him, and his brother and you guys." She said and gripped my arms and I just licked my lips.

"What do you want the alter to look like?" I asked and she squealed.

"Well, I want to do it right outside, and since we are here and it is so beautiful outside, I was wondering if you could make an alter of ice." She said and I licked my lips, looking towards the window and seeing the snow halting for just right now.

"Do you want a roof just in case?" I asked and she smiled and nodded.

"I would love it." She smiled and I knew the look on her face showed that she was too happy. Or maybe just happy.

MAKO

"Are you sure that we should have left Asami all alone?" I tried not to groan as I kept the pace of the car steady.

"I am sure she knows how to keep the fire going, besides, Korra would have come back sooner than us." I told him trying to keep calm. I don't know what I was thinking when I told Asami I would keep him busy for a few hours.

Her coming to my room last night was surprising and her plan was somewhat stupid and somewhat romantic. I would have pegged Bo to finally ask for the wedding, but not Asami.

I had kept things under wraps with Bo, telling him that I wanted to go out and eat, finally talk about everything that went down, and we had. So I wasn't lying.

We talked through things and he told me all about what he wanted his future to look like, what he and Asami talked about before we left. He wanted to have kids, a bunch of them. I didn't really see the appeal in having more than two like our parents did.

When I zoned out on that thought all I saw were little Korra's running around, one was older than the other, and one had my eyes. It hit home.

I didn't even know how to face her now. I mean, I like Korra, not like like, I can't get close when she is that Avatar. That means danger, and I know what it means to try and protect someone in danger, I've done it in the ring with Bolin. I was in the hospital for a week. Bo telling me every day that he could have handled it. I didn't believe it until I saw the replay.

I had thrown myself in front of him, when he was already ready to block it. He would have been okay.

I can't let myself attach to Korra, we could both get hurt that way, because if we were in trouble, it wouldn't be in a ring and the opponent wouldn't have to stop, they would keep going.

But as soon as we pulled up to the gates and I saw her moving swiftly, elegantly, beautifully, in the snow creating a sort of ceiling, that stupid voice in the back of my head was telling me that it wouldn't be so easy to not have feelings for her.
