Juliet listened as the humans talked amongst themselves in the subway, thankful that for the time being, everyone was able to control their bloodlust and get along for the sake of winning the war. The mutants had become a topic of interest since they'd returned with Juliet to the subway. Most had stories to tell from the X-Men and fighting other mutants or even from escaping human prisons. Juliet had been keeping a close eye on the group, to ensure everyone was getting along fine, but she couldn't help her curiosity. She watched Thor as he silently listened to the stories being told. He hadn't told any of his own, and she knew there were bound to be a few worth sharing. Regardless, she made her way over to him, stopping at his side as he looked down at her.
"You've done well gathering numbers so far."
"There's not much more I can do."
"Numbers don't win a war."
"I'm sure they help." He smiled, looking away from her as she watched him. She let out a small sigh before speaking again. "When this is over, if we win, what will happen to Loki?"
He looked back down to her, remaining silent for a moment before he nodded.
"He will face justice."
"Isn't your bridge broken?"
"The tesseract will take us home."
"I'm sorry that your brother has done this to you."
He gave her a small smile and nodded again.
"Me too."
"Juliet." She looked over at the sound of Aaron's voice. The rest of the voices stopped to listen to him.
"You have visitors."
She followed him, Thor and Tony following closely as they went out to the street. She was surprised to see so many people waiting for her. Among them, a single man stepped forward to greet her. She eyed the helmet on his head before looking into his eyes.
"You are?"
"Here to help." he replied.
The woman next to him caused Juliet to know what they were immediately, her blue skin giving them away.
"Xavier sent you?"
"We came with a mutual desire to end what that fool in the tower has done to our city."
"Good. You're in."
"Woah, woah." Tony said, shaking his head at her. "Do you know this guy?"
"No."
"Ever hear of Magneto? Or the Brotherhood? There is a fine line between wanting help and being desperate for it."
"I'm desperate for it."
He shrugged at her.
"Alright, fine. If he kills your other mutants then that's your issue."
Juliet looked back to the man Tony called Magneto.
"The X-Men are here. Any fights will be broken up by my own kind, and just let me say, that usually ends in death."
The man gave her a slight smile.
"We've worked together before, I'm sure for this cause, it can happen again."
Juliet's eyes flickered over the numerous faces that stood behind the man, before she nodded at him.
"You're in."
"This is going to be a tough fight. We have three different enemies to face." Juliet explained to the people that had gathered to fight against Loki. "We have the Chiaturi. They're strong, but they're slow. The vampires should focus on them. The others are the wolves. They're quick, and strong, and they know how to kill us. Mutants should focus on them. Then we have Loki. He's got alot in his arsenal, don't leave yourself open to anything. If you're going to take a shot, do it right. There's no room for error here. Avengers will focus on him and how to close the portal and get the tesseract locked down. After that is done, Loki goes with Thor. We aren't keeping him here, and I'm sure most of you will disagree with that but nothing we do will keep him under control here."
"We could kill him." Kate said beside her.
"Do you know how to kill a God?"
"Demi God."
"The fact remains that he hasn't just brought chaos here, he's committed crimes in Asgard too. And if Thor says Asgard wants him, I won't say no. They can deal with him and we get our world back." Juliet looked around at the faces of the people who listened, letting out a sigh. "This is going to be hard. We're going to lose some people, but we can do this. It's high time we took back our world and sent those aliens and that God back to where they belong."
"What is the plan right now?" Kate asked.
"Vampires need to go out for a last meal. Then we go."
Juliet watched the vampires begin to shuffle towards the exit as the mutants dispersed to have final conversations with eachother.
"Good speech."
Juliet looked over to Tony and smiled slightly.
"Speeches don't help us win."
"Does a number for morale."
"They know our chances of winning."
"It's a good plan. Doubting yourself doesn't do anything but slow you down at this point."
"I just hope this will be enough."
"There's only one way to find out."
She laughed a little, shaking her head before putting a hand on his shoulder.
"I'll be back."
"I'll hold you to that."
"I never would have guessed you'd be leading us into a war with these aliens."
Juliet looked over at Aaron as she led her coven back to the subway. She gave him a smile.
"I have you to thank, Aaron. I wouldn't be here if you hadn't turned me."
"We all wouldn't be here."
She stopped, turning to him with sadness in her eyes before she pulled him into a hug.
"Thank you." she whispered. "For everything."
"Don't get all sentimental on me." he replied, though he hugged her in return.
She smiled, nodding at him as she let go.
"Right."
"We're still terrifying monsters."
"Always." she laughed, walking with the coven again. Once they got back to the subway and they rejoined their army, they all stood at the sight of them. Juliet looked around, simply to take in the faces of her companions yet again. Mutants she didn't even know, people she'd never seen before had joined her cause to gain their world back. She simply gave them a smile before nodding to them. "Let's go."
