TWF: Heya, this is the Wild Fang, along with Fen–kun speaking! Bringing to you guys the latest chapter of GX!
Fen: That's right! And this chapter is gonna be Kurogasa–less! Wait, that sounds weird. But anyways, this chapter won't have Kurogasa in it!
TWF: That's because for this chapter, we'll be focusing on two characters: Allyson Massri and Kaito Kagemochi. And don't worry about other characters that made their entry in this season; we'll do the same thing as well on learning at their background.
Fen: Word of warning though. The duel featured in this chapter is gonna get… dark, more or less.
TWF: What can you expect? A certain character would make its return… well, let's just get on with the story, shall we?
Fen: Let's do this!
Disclaimer: Same thing.
Elsewhere, in Domino City, Allyson walked on her own amongst the crowds, searching for a place as she constantly looked back and forth on her PDA. "Hm… we're near."
"Really, ma'am?" Hassleberry asked, looking around. "Are you sure we ain't lost or somethin'? This is an urban jungle, after all."
"Yes, Hassleberry." Allyson assured. "Even if I end up being lost, the Cosmos shall lead the way to my destination."
"And where exactly are we going, really?" Hassleberry asked.
"To where my mother works." Allyson explained. "Normally, I would be going on my own, but considering the Chancellor's decision of going in pairs, you voluntarily joined up with me to go around the city…"
"Well, I don't want those Light fanatics coming at ya again." Hassleberry said.
"And I appreciate that." Allyson smiled a bit.
"No problem ma'am. Just doin' my job as a soldier."
Allyson continued walking around the area, until she came to a stop. "We're here."
"Here? Really?" Hassleberry blinked.
"Yes. No doubt about it." she nodded while looking at the front of the building. The shop resembled any normal antique store that was available, but this antique store focused on the Egyptian artifacts, which seemed like it was attracting some people to it. One of the customers walked out from the store with a large painting of some sort.
She walked into the antique store and as soon as she entered in, a woman greeted her from the cashier counter, saying, "Welcome. How may I–"
"Hello, Mother." Allyson greeted, smiling fondly.
"Allyson?" her mother blinked, surprised to see her daughter. Despite her appearance resembling Allyson, the only difference between the two is her age and wrinkles were on her face, having jet black hair over her blue eyes, wearing a normal white blouse and black skirt over her tanned body with an apron, and black slippers to finish it all up. "You're here? I thought you'll be here on your second semester break."
"We're here in the city on a field trip ma'am," Hassleberry said.
"Oh?" Allyson's mother asked.
"Yes Mother." Allyson nodded. "Though, we will only be here for a few days before heading back to the academy."
"I see." she nodded. "It's good to see you again, my daughter."
"Yes… so am I, Mother." Allyson smiled.
(Cue Theme KNOCK ON YOUR GATE by Ono Masatoshi)
(Chigau! Zetsubou nado mou shinai mou nigenai~) The scene begins with the Primary Riders and Mana, bound onto the walls with chains as they are in slumber with the Sorcerer insignia on their chests.
(Donna ashita demo ii) The screen pans out, revealing Orma and Sartorius standing on the magic circle as they looked at the portal before them.
(Hitori nanka janai kara~) As the screen zoomed into the portal, it shortly revealed Kurogasa standing in front of the academy.
(Itsuka mirai de kitto aou~) With a serious glance and a wave of his arm, the Secondary Riders, Gaim, and Tamamo dashed towards and Gaim delivered the slash onto the screen, revealing the title. After a brief moment, Tamamo's mirror reflected on the screen, moving to the next scene.
(Kizutsuita kotowa iu na) Jaden looks at the sky with his Neo-Spacians doing the same.
(Itasou na kao mo sunna) Koji does the same thing, looking up in the sky with his Lost Boogie Knights.
(Doushou mo naku natte shimau ze) Kurogasa did the same thing with his Secondary Riders, Gaim, and Tamamo as they all saw in the night sky fainted images of Sorcerer and Sartorius looking evilly at the three.
(Jikuu no yami ni ochite) Mamori and Marta walked together in the garden. Both Rika and Blair waved happily at the front, getting the two's attention as they replied with their own wave.
(Himei mo agenai de) Syrus, Hassleberry, Bastion and Will turn around and noticed Rock skate past them at the hallway and ended up bumping into the startled Masaru.
(Taikutsu wo kai naraseru no kai?) Both the Akiyama and Hoshiki twins noticed the predicament, making them sweat drop.
(Yuuki wa OOTUMACHIKKU mayou mo njanai) As Kaito and Aster close their eyes, different monsters such as X and Zero shot out their cannon busters onto the screen, Saber and Lancer swung their weapons onto the screen, Cloud and Tidus jump forward and clashing their swords onto Blaster Blade and Garmore before the two jumped back and Foodon monsters leaped towards the screen.
(Kimi ga muku hou ga mae da~!) When Kaito and Aster open their eyes, Sartorius and Orma smirked with Cubia behind them, taunting them to come to them. Kurogasa, standing between Kaito and Aster, dashed forward, donning into his sealed Rider armor, with Kaito dashed along, with the spirit of Azure accompanying him.
(Ikou! Mou modorenai michi wo ikeba ii) The scene changes to Jaden and Chazz facing each other in a duel, while Koji went against Bastion who is now part of the Society.
(Mirai ga matte iru! Tatake! Kimi no GATE) When Kurogasa faces Alexis, the latter turns and walks away and Kurogasa runs towards her, stretching his hand forward, trying to reach her.
(Chigau! Zetsubou nado mou shinai mou nigenai~) He was then intervened by more of the Society of Light members, looking at him and the rest of the group with the intent of defeating them in a duel.
(Donna ashita demo ii) Inside the Slifer Red headmaster's room, Yukina prayed quietly, hoping for her son to be alright as Kyoshiro stood by her side.
(Hitori nanka janai kara~) Back at Kurogasa, his sealed Rider form casted off, and his whole new armor engulfed in light. His wings spread widely and flew towards the awaiting Sorcerer.
(Itsuka mirai de kitto aou~) As Kurogasa flipped forward, delivering the Rider kick to the screen, it shattered away, revealing the characters standing in front of the academy in a casual manner, including the Alexis, Bastion, and Chazz in their Society of Light outfit, with a faint image of the smirking evil Sartorius and Sorcerer behind them, ending the song.
Chapter 26: For One's Sake
Elsewhere, somewhere in the city, Kaito walked on his own towards a location using his memory, searching for a familiar place. While he did that, he sighed, muttering, "It's good to know that I can go on my own, considering the fact where bringing a partner with you might be a bit troublesome for me."
Flashback
An hour ago, back at the pier, Chancellor Crowler gave instructions to the students, saying it with his proud voice. "Alright, listen up, everyone! All of you are allowed to visit places where this city has to offer! Considering the fact we are lacking in teachers…" he paused, looking at the Kururugi couple taking a cab, heading towards the hospital for Yukina's monthly check while Kurogasa is dragged away by his cousin. "…I decided to make you guys either walk in pairs or in a small group!"
"Excuse me, sir!" Kaito raised his hand, getting his attention.
"What is it, young man?" Crowler asked, looking at the said student.
"Is it okay if I went on my own? I got to go somewhere." Kaito informed.
"Kaito, didn't you hear what I said? You must either walking in–"
"I heard it loud and clear, sir." Kaito nodded. "It's just that my manager's company is within this city, that's all."
"And are you that certain that you can navigate through this area on your own? What would happen if you end up getting lost?" Crowler asked.
Kaito merely shrugged, "I could ask the locals for directions. Shouldn't be too hard finding everyone if I just ask 'have you seen any Duel Academy students'. Besides, I know exactly where I need to go so I won't get lost on my way there."
Crowler was in doubt for a moment, thinking about the situation. "Crowler, I think we should let ze students be on their way now! They are getting impatient of going around ze city."
After a few moments of thinking, he decided while looking at Kaito, saying, "Alright, young man. If you are that resolved to get to your place without getting lost, I'll let you do what you want, but should you ever get lost, you would only worry the teachers more than ever."
"Thanks for worrying and all, but I can take care of myself," Kaito assured before bowing to the teachers. "I'll return as quickly as I can." Once Kaito lifted his head back up, he immediately took off in the direction of Orma's office.
"That boy… he tends to be reckless…" Crowler sighed.
End Flashback
"Well, I got some scores to settle with Orma and force him to tell me what is actually going on around here. And why in the world he used me like that?" he muttered as he turned a corner.
Eventually, after a few more minutes of walking, he came to a stop, looking at the building across the street. He then noticed something is off. Instead of the building where he hoped where Orma's office would be located, it turned out to be… a bakery store?
"Wha… What the–!" Kaito wondered, his eyes widened in shock. "This can't be right… I know for certain this is where it was…"
He double checked the address on the card, thinking that he had made a mistake when taking a turn. The address was real but not the building he was hoping to see. Trying to get some confirmation, he spotted one of the locals walking out from the said bakery store and immediately asked him about it. "Excuse me, sir. Do you know about the location of the Dueling Company that was here a year go?"
"Dueling company? Here?" the local said baffled at his words. "I think you made a mistake. I've been here for the last 3 years and I know my stuff. If there are changes around here, I should've taken note about it. And the only dueling company that I know off is Kaiba Corp."
"W–Wha…" Kaito said stunned as the said local took his leave. "This can't be… has he somehow… deceived me... about his company? But I swear I've been in his office on my first trip! There's no way I'm making a mistake!"
"Of course you haven't made any mistake." a voice said, getting his attention. When he looked to his left, he noticed a teenage girl walk out from the dark alley and crossed her arms, looking at the said man. She is around the same age as him, having headphones over her orange hair that reached her back, with brown eyes and a lollipop in her mouth, wearing a white blouse and black pants, white sandals and around her waist, a deck box where she kept her cards and a duel disk on her arm.
"Emma?" Kaito recognized as one of his colleagues under Orma's supervision.
"From the very beginning, the said building never existed in the first place." she said. "But that won't matter much to me anyways, since Orma has favored you more than me."
"And why are you here?" Kaito asked.
"Simple. To do a task given by Orma." she smirked. "A task where I can make a name for myself to become a pro by defeating you. If I can beat you, it would be certain that Orma would be pleased with my skills and probably abandon you fully as your use is no longer needed and I will soar higher than you, Kaito!"
Kaito sighed in irritation, "Again? Why can't you guys just leave me alone?!"
"It is what Orma said, after all." Emma said. "And besides, this is one opportunity that I can't miss. My career is on the line, you know. And I don't plan on backing down from his offer. Also, consider this our usual friendly duel we used to have when we worked together under him. Only this time, the theme 'survival of the fittest' would be fit here and I don't think you can last with my new cards at my disposal. The question is: how long would you be able to last from these waves of attack I had in mind, hm?"
"What are you talking about?" Kaito asked, confused by Emma's choice of words.
"Instead of pondering about my words, how about I show you instead? But we can't do it in front of everyone here, as there might be innocents that could get… injured." she pointed out while turning around, heading towards the empty alley. The same smirk was on her face, knowing that this isn't her usual self.
Every fiber of Kaito's being was telling him to back out, but the young man knew that the only way he could find Orma now would be to getting information out of Emma, which meant agreeing to her terms. Clenching his fists, the Digital HERO duelist followed the girl.
"Mmmmmmmmmmmm, oishiiiiiiiiiiiiii~!" Mitsuyo said delighted after carrying about 12 sticks of takoyaki balls, three to a stick.
"Mitsuyo, that's too much!" Tsukiyo said exasperated.
"Y–Yeah, y–you should share some with us." Masaru stuttered.
"Yada! I love eating them!" Mitsuyo exclaimed, hugging her takoyaki balls really close to her.
"You know, if you did that, you just gonna make your vest dirty, right?" Will pointed out.
"Not to mention the stain might stick on her shirt and bra, if she ain't careful…" Rock noted.
*BONK!*
"OW!" Rock cried out after being bonked on the head by Marta.
"Must you always be blunt?" Marta asked annoyed.
"Hey, I'm just stating the obvious!" Rock defended.
"If it weren't for your perverted side, maybe most of the girls won't try to distance themselves from you." Marta added.
"S–Sempai, please calm d–down!" Mamori squeaked.
"Hey, it's just a one–time thing, so what's the–" Rock's words were cut off, as he ended up stepping on a random banana peel, falling down on his back and much to his chagrin, saw underneath Marta's skirt. "…u–uh… white?"
*POP!*
"Uh–oh…" Masaru muttered noticing that Marta popped a vessel.
"You're screwed…" Tsukiyo added.
"Better write you last will…" Will noted.
"O–Oh dear…" Masaru stuttered.
"M–Marta–sempai?" Mamori squeaked.
"You truly desire getting hit on your face, don't you?" Marta said, cracking her knuckles while blushing slightly, embarrassed.
"No, wait! Please don't!" Rock pleaded.
"HEAVEN'S PUNISHMENT!"
"YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Back at the antique shop, both mother and daughter are taking their break, taking a sip of tea. "I missed this tea, Mother…" Allyson said.
"I know how much you missed this tea from Cairo." her mother replied, smiling kindly. "I decided to bring it along with me, just in case you wanted to drink."
"I see." Allyson smiled back.
"Also, it's good to know your friend knows about archaeology." she said, looking at Hassleberry looking at an artifact. "Most of the time, he'll be talking about dinosaur fossils and such, but I'm quite surprised he knew some Egyptian artifacts as well…"
"Yes he does do that." Allyson said. "Mother… there's been something I wanted to talk to you about."
"Oh?" Allyson's mother asked. "What about?"
"It's… a long and complicated story."
"Long and complicated?" she got out.
"Yes." Allyson nodded. "And it has been a part of my task as a Guardian."
Her mother was silent for a moment, putting her cup of tea on the table. "Let me hear it, my daughter."
"Yes Mother," Allyson said.
So with that, Allyson told her mother everything that was happening in Academy Island, mainly about Kurogasa and his… problem, to put things in lighter terms. Heck, even Hassleberry filled in the details when he heard that Allyson was talking about the recent events that have been happening. The Society of Light, Kamen Rider Sorcerer, the Primary Heisei Riders and Mana being sealed, any and everything that Allyson and Hassleberry could tell, not missing any details. When they finished the story…
"I see…" Allyson's mother said, sipping her tea. "That is long and complicated."
"And I was hoping there would be a way to avert this disaster and recovering his missing pieces." Allyson explained.
"You know what to do, right… uh…" Hassleberry trailed off, getting both of the girls' attention.
"Something the matter, young man?" the older woman asked.
"I don't seem to catch your name, ma'am." Hassleberry pointed out.
"Oh, dear, where are my manners? I almost forgot…" the elder woman giggled. "I am Zathura Massri, mother of Allyson."
"Zathura, got it." Hassleberry nodded.
"And regarding your question, my daughter…" Zathura said, getting back on track. "The only way for this to resolve is to have you confront him face to face once more, but more prepared than ever. As stated by Priestess Isis, only you can act on either slowing his actions or stop him completely. I am sorry, but I can't seem to provide you a good solution for this situation."
"I see." Allyson nodded.
"And what about Kurogasa's problem?" Hassleberry asked.
"Well… that is… also quite difficult. Especially with what my daughter had to do." Zathura said.
"…" Allyson remained silent, slightly blushing.
"I believe that young man is lucky." Zathura said.
"What makes you say that?" Hassleberry asked.
"She just gave him her first kiss to aid his curse." Zathura pointed out.
"M–Mother!" Allyson stammered.
"This isn't really funny." Hassleberry frowned a bit, "Kurogasa has Alexis,"
"Yes and I have no romantic feelings for Kurogasa whatsoever." Allyson said.
"I know. Your task as a Guardian is a priority before others." Zathura assured her.
"That's right. It is up to me to protect humanity from the danger ahead of us." Allyson said. "We cannot let this fiend do whatever he wants to achieve his goal. The prophecy of doom in this land must be averted."
Zathura could only smile slightly, looking at her cup of tea while thinking quietly on her own, 'How I wish you could lead a normal school life as a normal teenager, not worrying about this as it should have been mine to begin with… if only you didn't have the gift Priestess Isis noticed, none of this would've happened and maybe you would be spared from doing these things and the three of us would spend our time together as a family…'
"Mother?" Allyson said, making Zathura look at her.
"Huh?" Zathura blinked.
"Everything okay ma'am?" Hassleberry asked, "You looked kinda spaced out."
"Not to worry, I'm fine, both of you…" Zathura assured.
"Are you sure, Mother? Do you want to take a break?" Allyson asked. "I can look over the store, if you want."
"It's alright, Allyson." Zathura waved off. "I was just thinking about your father, that's all."
"Father…" Allyson muttered quietly, and the place was filled with silence once more.
"Oh, look at the time. I should get back to work." Zathura said as she got up from her seat and headed back to her place, resuming her work.
"Are you okay, ma'am?" Hassleberry asked Allyson. "You look like you lost someone special to ya."
"I'm fine." Allyson said, before getting up and walking away. "Let's go. We'll meet up with the others."
"Uh… 10–4, I guess," Hassleberry said before following her.
"Boy, this sure feels good, huh, Sy?" Jaden asked, as he along with Syrus, the Akiyama twins, Rika, Koji and Bastion are walking along the path in the city. "Spending time as we want around this place?"
"You got that right!" Syrus perked up. "And it feels good that dino–head isn't with us or he'll be arguing with me on who'll be the guide around town."
"Syrus, this isn't the time for arguing about that." Bastion reminded.
"He's right." Koji recalled. "And that Aster guy, he wasn't feelin' funky about himself, too."
"Yeah, after finding out that his manager was using him and all." Rika said.
"I'm sure he'll be back to his usual self." Ginsuke replied.
"Yeah, hopefully," Shunsuke added. "And that Orma guy…"
"What about him?" Ginsuke looked at him.
"The reason Kaito left early on his own as soon as the Society of Light departed… I bet he must have gone to where Orma is… to settle the score." Shunsuke said.
"But won't that guy fall for some sort of trap Orma would pull off on Kaito?" Rika asked.
"Aw he'll be fine Rika!" Jaden waved off.
"What makes you say that Jay?" Syrus asked.
"He's a strong duelist, that's what!" He perked up. "Kaito's all about taking one step ahead of him, so he'll be fine on his own!"
"You know, things might have gotten a bit interesting…" Koji chuckled, getting Rika's attention.
"What do you mean?" Rika asked.
"About the rest of us being on our own business and you going alone with Jay here." Koji chuckled.
"W–What?!" Rika blushed.
"C'mon gang, let's leave Rika and Jaden alone." Koji snickered.
"H–Hey! What are you doing?!"
"What? I just gonna–" Koji's words were cut off, as his collar shirt was tugged by Rika.
"Don't. You. DARE!" she snapped.
"Yeah, what's the point, you guys? We're here already!" Jaden perked up happily, oblivious to Koji's intention. "This is Yugi's home!"
"Eh?" Koji and Rika blinked.
Looking to the front, they saw the famous Game Shop. It was a small and humble building, but this card shop is where the great Yugi Moto lives and his grandfather Solomon Moto is the owner of the shop.
"Yeah, this is the place alright." Shunsuke nodded.
"Hey, Yugi! Are you in there?!" Jaden called out happily.
"Jaden, that's not really polite, y'know?" Shunsuke said.
"Yugi?" an old man's voice got out, as he slowly opened the door. "Are you home?"
"Huh?" the students said as the old man came out, who turned out to be… Solomon Moto!
"Oh, who are you youngsters?" He asked.
"Hey! Is Yugi around?!" Jaden asked excited.
"Unfortunately, he's traveling elsewhere…" Solomon said. "For a second there, I really thought Yugi might have returned home. That boy does have that mysterious aura around him…"
"Traveling, huh? There's nothing we can do about that…" Ginsuke sighed. "I was really excited about meeting the legendary Duelist himself…"
"I know, right?" Jaden perked up happily.
"Oh, about us." Koji steps forward, facing Solomon. "We're from Duel Academy, currently on a field trip right now."
"Though, the teachers are telling us to go on our own since most of the bunch ended up following their leader…" Rika mumbled, crossing her arms. "And our own teachers were going towards a nearby hospital and a friend of ours just got dragged by his cousin."
"Who is this friend that's dragged by his cousin?" Solomon asked.
"Kurogasa," Jaden said.
"Hmmm… oh yes! Him! The boy I gave the decks to for the Deck Exhibition last year!" Solomon remembered.
"Yep, that's the guy!" Koji gave a thumbs–up.
"And now since we're here, mind if we take a look at your shop?" Shunsuke asked.
"Well… I don't see why not?" Solomon nodded in agreement. "You young'uns are more than welcome to take a look in my shop."
"WOHOO!" Jaden cheered before darting inside the shop.
"And there he goes…" Syrus sweat dropped.
"Can't say that I'm surprised." Koji shrugged. "He did say he wanted to become No.1, like Yugi."
"Whatever the case, let's get in there and see what he has to offer." Rika said. "Maybe there's something that would help out my Foodon deck or something…"
Meanwhile…
"Hmmmmmmmm…" Sartorius said flipping over a card.
"What's today's fortune Sartorius?" Orma asked.
"An interesting turn of events, I should say…"
"Oh? How interesting can it be?" Orma asked.
"Your favorite masked hero has regained his lost pride." Sartorius chuckled, making Orma chuckle too.
"Even so, that would be all for naught. He is still in a disadvantage as most of his comrades are in chains." Orma informed.
"Plus, he has that curse you put in him."
"That too." Orma agreed.
"I wonder what else you're going to do that boy." Sartorius wondered.
"Oh, there are so many things I want to plan on him…" Orma chuckled. "But for now, I shall focus on other stuff."
"Other stuff?" Sartorius looked at him as Orma walked away.
"I have to prepare something for the inevitable battle that involves him in the nearest time, and he won't be expecting it…" Orma said before taking his leave.
"Hm… I look forward to it," Sartorius smirked.
As time went on, Allyson gazed outside the window in her room, looking up at the sky with a slight frown on her face. "Father…" she muttered.
"Hey, ma'am? Are ya in there?" Hassleberry entered the room, making her gasp a bit. Surprised to see him entering the room, Hassleberry noticed a single tear on her left eye, as she quickly wiped it off with her finger. "Sorry for enterin' the room, but I think we should get back to base soon."
"Ah, I see…" Allyson nodded slightly. "Thank you for reminding me, Hassleberry. I'll let my mother know soon."
"You okay? You ain't your usual flare, ma'am." Hassleberry said, concerned.
"I'm sorry, I just… have a lot on my mind."
"You sure you don't want to talk about it?" Hassleberry asked.
"I'll be fine thank you." Allyson smiled a bit.
"You sure?"
"You are quite persistent, aren't you?" she asked him, smiling slightly.
"Just to make sure a fellow soldier is up and runnin'." Hassleberry added, as she shifted her attention back to the window.
"…I just miss my Father." Allyson began. "He passed away two years ago, leaving behind the Galaxy deck to me as a birthday present."
"Your old man?" Hassleberry noted.
"Yes. Do you know why I love astronomy so much? It is because of my Father's influence." she told him, still keeping her smile while looking at her Deck on the table in front of her. "Though he is a foreigner from a distant land, as an astronomer, it is his duty to go place to place in order to learn more about the stars. Somewhere along the way, both my parents met in Cairo and fell in love. In return of having him learn about the Egyptian relics there, he fascinated my mother about the galaxy and its surroundings. Even though he travels a lot, nevertheless, whenever he came home to Cairo, he would always teach me about astronomy, thus I decided that when my task as a Guardian is over, I shall pursue my dream of becoming an astronomer myself."
"Whoa…" Hassleberry said in awe from her story.
"I do not usually indulge myself of telling my tale to others, but I have to let it out from my chest." she added.
"Then, why are ya tellin' me this?"
"Because I'm not comfortable of telling others regarding my life. I just hope you won't tell the others about it for the time being, Hassleberry."
"I see. Well, rest assured." Hassleberry said. "Your story's safe with me."
"Truly?" she said, looking at him.
"You ain't ready to spill the beans to others since you're not combat ready yet. When you feel like you're ready to tell the gang, I'll be there for ya' to ease out the pain. A soldier's pledge." Hassleberry noted.
"Thank you…" Allyson nodded, smiling small, feeling grateful.
Meanwhile, with Kaito…
As he followed her, she came to a stop into an alley where no one is around, pretty much abandoned by civilization. As she turned around, she said, "This should be good enough; no one's going to find out about it."
"About what?" Kaito said, being wary around her.
"About the carnage that is about to happen next." she smirked, looking at the duelist with intentions. "How about we do this the way we used to do first, like saying… started off with 8000 Life Points?"
"Why the sudden proposal?" Kaito asked.
"You'll understand soon enough, Kaito." she chuckled, as she activated her duel disk. "Soon enough…"
Kaito took out his Duel Disk and attached it to his right arm before pushing his Deck into the slot and turning it on. 'I don't know what she's planning, but I'm gonna give it all I got.'
"Let's begin this duel!" she exclaimed.
"I hope you regret challenging me, Emma!" Kaito countered.
"DUEL!"
Kaito: 8000
Emma: 8000
"Ladies first!" she said as she drew out her sixth card. A smirk was on her face as she prompted open her Field Spell zone. "I activate my Field Spell, Stage of Thorns!"
"Stage of Thorns?" Kaito blinked as thorns slowly spread around the dark alley, covering the whole field and trapping both of them inside the thorny dome. At the same time, he noticed some of the objects around actually being pushed away, much to his confusion. Even so, his poker face remained while looking at her. "Never heard of that kind of Field Spell before…"
"You'll learn soon enough." she smirked and quickly placed a card on her disk. "I summon my Hedge Guard in DEF mode!"
A rather large thorny hedge wall appeared, materializing from the dome itself. As it appeared, it protected her from harm as a defensive wall. (3/ATK: 0/DEF: 2100)
"And I end my turn." she said.
"My draw!" Kaito called out as he drew his sixth card and looked over his hand. "I activate the Spell card, Party of Guild Mascots!"
"Party of Guild Mascots?" Emma looked at the said card, confused by the term.
"Yep, you heard that right." Kaito nodded.
"This must be one of your mass summoning onto the Field, hm?" Emma deducted, making her smile widen. "You just make things easier for me, Kaito."
"When this card is played, I can Special Summon as many Grunty Monsters from my Deck onto the Field! So I Special Summon five!" Kaito announced as his deck started to glow brightly before five small pig–like figures appeared on the Field.
"Death Grunty!"
The first Monster had short silver hair and big red eyes while wearing an open black jacket. (4/ATK: ?/DEF: 300)
"Melo Grunty!"
The second Monster had short blue hair underneath a purple Chinese-style hat. (1/ATK: 200/DEF: 300)
"Gao Grunty!"
The third Monster had red fur covering its body and what looked like a white lion's mane around its head while wearing a purple Chinese–style hat. (3/ATK: 1200/DEF: 300)
"Wise Grunty!"
The fourth Monster had tan fur and lacked hair but wore glasses and had a book of some kind strapped around his shoulders while also wearing a brown Chinese–style hat. (2/ATK: 600/DEF: 300)
"Toki Grunty!"
The final Monster had bright red, gravity-defying hair and brown eyes with star–shaped pupils while wearing a white t–shirt and a pair of goggles around his forehead with a schoolbag around his shoulders. (4/ATK: ?/DEF: 800)
"Just as I expected…" she smirked as the ground where Kaito stood began to shake slightly, "You just made things worse for yourself."
"What?" Kaito muttered, noticing the thorny vines on his side slowly enlarging and at the point of explosion.
"For every non–Plant Monster you have summoned out, you will take damage equal to the levels of those Monsters summoned… times 200." she smirked as the vines exploded on him, making himself brace for impact. It was then the new information surged into his mind, the pain that he felt during the course of the duel… is real. And the tears on his shirt, followed by a trail of blood from the exploded thorns either scratched on his skin or was embedded into his arm as proof; inflicting real damage on him.
Kaito: 5200
Emma: 8000
Kaito fell onto his knees, wrapping his arms around his body from the pain, "Wh… What was that…?"
"It would seem that this Field can inflict real damage upon you, *nero*" Wise Grunty said.
"How pathetic. I thought you were stronger than this, but you're nothing more than a nose–hair, *oink*" Death Grunty said insultingly.
"*Haha* If you can get through this, you'll become even manlier! Though not as manly as me! *Haha*" Gao Grunty followed up.
"I wonder what kind of fish live here… Maybe schools of canned tuna? *mellow*" Melo Grunty daydreamed.
"Come on guys, we can't be fooling around! We're the only ones who can help Kaito right now–pa!" Toki Grunty tried to rally the others.
"So, how does it feel to actually get injured in the process?" she questioned as Kaito raised his head in pain, glaring at her.
"W–What was that…?"
"Oh, this? This is just one of the cards Orma provided me. He said this would be useful to teach you about pain… and complete defeat." Emma added. "Hm… how did he pronounce it in his own words? Ah! A Shadow Duel!"
"Sh–Shadow Duel?" Kaito repeated.
"Hmph. If that's how it's going to be then I'll help you out. You better be ready to pay me back, nose–hair! *oink*" Death Grunty said as he turned back around to face the opposing field.
"Just stick with me and I'll make you manlier in no time! *Haha*" Gao Grunty followed.
"We'll have to be careful, we don't know the full extent of her deck, *Nero*" Wise Grunty added.
"Let's do this guys–pa!" Toki Grunty cheered with Death, Gao and Wise Grunty cheering in agreement while Melo Grunty had a far–off look on his face.
"Thanks guys…" Kaito said to his partners before rising up to his feet. "Now for the effects of my Monsters!"
"Oh? I thought these creeps are just for decorations…" she taunted.
"Who are you calling a creep, you nose–hair?! *oink*" Death Grunty shouted angrily at Emma.
"Death Grunty's Monster effect increase his ATK by 300 for each Monster in my Graveyard, but since I have no Monsters there currently he'll be in Defense mode," Kaito explained.
"Make sure you let me get a hit in, *oink*" Death Grunty ordered. (4/ATK: ?–0/DEF: 300)
"With Melo Grunty, as long as I have another Grunty Monster on the Field, he can't be destroyed by Battle and any Battle Damage I would receive involving him is reduced to 0!"
"I'm getting hungry… Maybe I should have some Yellowtail…*mellow*" Melo Grunty daydreamed.
"With Gao Grunty, all other Grunty Monsters I control gain 300 ATK and DEF!"
"*Haha* My presence alone is enough to inspire manliness! *Haha" Gao Grunty laughed as he and the others were powered up. (3/ATK: 1200–1500/DEF: 300–600)(4/ATK: 0–300/DEF: 300–600)(1/ATK: 200–500/DEF: 300–600)
"With Wise Grunty, once per turn I can return a card in my Hand to my Deck and add another card from my Deck to my Hand!"
"We'll need whatever advantage we can get, *nero*" Wise Grunty noted as he was strengthened. (2/ATK: 600–900/DEF: 300–600)
"And Toki Grunty's ATK is equal to the number of other Monsters I control times 400!"
"I'll give it my best shot–opa!" Toki Grunty shouted energetically as his power skyrocketed. (4/?–3200–3500/800–1100)
"And is that supposed to scare me, Kaito?" Emma asked him, keeping her poker face.
"You'll be tasting your own medicine, so get ready, Emma!" Kaito pointed, commanding Toki Grunty to launch himself forward.
"Quite predictable…" Emma smirked as she dropped a card from her Hand to the Graveyard as the vines started wrapping around… Toki? "By discarding another Hedge Guard from my Hand, in this turn, I can choose one of your Monsters that is attacking my monster and its ATK will be reduced by half by the end of the turn. But not to worry, despite my monster is in DEF, your little piggy won't get destroyed anyways…"
"Get off of me–opa!" Toki Grunty growled in annoyance, struggling to get the vines off from him before he swings his schoolbag at the Hedge Guard, only to retaliate with a few shots of its thorns at Toki's direction… and Kaito's. Kaito raised his arms up to brace himself.
"Kaito!" the other Grunties called out… when suddenly Melo Grunty sprang up into the air and took the hit.
"Melo!" Kaito called out as the little creature was launched back into the young man's arms. "Are you okay?"
"I'm a little fishy… *mellow*" the Grunty mumbled, seemingly unharmed by the attack.
"*Haha* He was dreaming he was a fish! How manly that it ended up saving you! *Haha*" Gao Grunty laughed, but the damage still transferred through to Kaito.
Kaito: 4950
Emma: 8000
Once Toki was released from the vines, he walked back over to Kaito's side of the Field, "Sorry Kaito, I was a bit brash–pa…"
Kaito then slowly shook his head as he let Melo back down, "It's okay, Toki. We both thought it would've been fine."
"Is that all you can do?" she scoffed, crossing her arms. "And the rest of your Monsters can't even hold a thorn of my Guard Hedge. This is one thing that would put you to a disadvantage, Kaito."
Kaito smirked, "My cards have more advantages than you think. I activate Wise' Grunty's Monster Effect, letting me return a card from my Hand to my Deck and adding another card from my Deck to my Hand while I control at least one other Grunty!" Kaito then took one card from his Hand and put it into his Deck before pulling out the Deck and fanning the cards and looking at his options. After grabbing his new card, Kaito shuffled the Deck and put it back into the Duel Disk slot. "Now I activate the Spell card, Repth! This will increase my Life Points by 1000 for every Digital HERO Monster I control, and all of my Grunties are treated as Digital HERO Monsters!"
Kaito: 9950
Emma: 8000
"What?! That's not fair!" she exclaimed.
"Hah! That's what you get for thinking too far ahead! *oink*" Death Grunty snorted.
"Unfortunately I can't summon again on the turn I use Party of Guild Mascots, so I'll end my turn with one card facedown," Kaito concluded as a reversed card appeared in front of him.
"Hah, you didn't even inflict any Damage on me, so I'm not scared right now!" she scoffed while drawing out her card. A smirk was on her face, as she revealed it to him. "I just draw this card, Dark Hole!"
"Uh–oh." all of the Grunties, except for Melo, muttered in unison.
"I believe your piglets need a one way ticket to way back home… to the endless void!" she said as the tornado erupted in their monster zones.
Kaito could only watch helplessly as his five Monsters were pulled into the vortex along with Emma's Guard Hedge. "I just had a bad feeling about this…"
"Indeed you should, Kaito!" she boasted as the thorny ground started to take form. "Lonefire Blossom, appear before me!" A small flower with a flaming bud bloomed out from the thorns, simply waiting to further bloom. (3/ATK: 500/DEF: 1400)
"As these flowers won't last long in its current state, why don't we further bloom it to the next level?" she chuckled as the flower started to grow bigger, as she placed the said card and replaced it with another after searching into her deck. "Bloom before me, Chirubimé, Princess of Autumn Leaves!"
The flower continued to bloom, until a princess with an autumn–themed dress bloomed out from it, having the leaves around her floating near her; indicating she is in defense mode. (8/ATK: 1800/DEF: 2800)
"I set a card facedown and that would be all!" she added as a hologram can be seen on her side of the Field. "Let's see if you can get through another large barrier, Kaito! I bet you can't even try to summon out any strong monsters right now, because of this Field Spell, huh?"
'She's partially right… I can't summon too many of my high–Level Monsters, but that also means I have to choose carefully…' Kaito thought to himself.
"If you don't want to go through any more pain, all you have to do is let me out…" a voice in Kaito's head told the teen.
Kaito shook his head, "No, I'm not letting you out!"
"Oh, come now. Wouldn't this be a good time for me to unleash hell upon her?" the voice tempted the Digital HERO user. "Or are you that stupid enough to keep bleeding to your death?"
"I can win this on my own!" Kaito shouted as he drew his next card. "My draw!" The teen then looked over the card he had drawn as well as what he had left in his hand. "I summon Digital HERO – Albireo!"
Appearing next on Kaito's field was an adult male in his late 20's with tanned skin dressed in scale armor with hexagon–shaped wave tattoos on his upper arms, brown hair styled in a wolf–cut that stops at his shoulders and has a blue right eye and a gold left eye. His weapon of choice was a divine–looking three–tipped spear. (4/ATK: 1600/DEF: 1400)
"Ahaha! Ah~, too bad. The nature's rejecting his appearance…" she smirked as the same thorns curled up before Kaito, expanding and at the verge of exploding. "Trespassers should be fined with 800 damage!"
*BOOM!*
Kaito braced himself as the thorns cut through his clothes, piercing his skin and causing his arms and legs to bleed more.
Kaito: 9150
Emma: 8000
"Since I control a Digital HERO Monster, I can Special Summon Digital HERO – Cello!" Kaito continued as the little pixie–like girl appeared on the Field next to Albireo. (2/ATK: 300/DEF: 700)
"You're a glutton for punishment, hm? You're truly are a naughty boy…" she smirked as thorns curled up before exploding once more. As Kaito braced for impact, more thorns pierced through his clothes, tearing them up. This causes more red spots to appear on his shirt, indicating more wounds are opening up on his body.
Kaito: 8750
Emma: 8000
"Your body is starting to shake from the pain, fool! If you keep this up, not only you'll lose more blood, I don't even have the chance of actually controlling you if you end up DEAD! Are you an M or something?!" the voice snapped, as Kaito's arm started to tremble slightly, making the pain on his face can be seen on it.
"I activate… Albireo's Monster Effect! Once per turn I can return one other Monster I control to my deck to double Albireo's ATK until the En Phase!" Kaito explained. "So I return Cello to my deck!"
In response to this, Albireo held up his spear as it let off a divine glow before Cello vanished from the field. (4/ATK: 1600–3200/DEF: 1400)
"Do you truly think that spear of yours would even tear the petals of my princess?" she teased, making Albireo clench on his spear tighter.
"Albireo, attack the Princess of Autumn Leaves! Divine Spear of Wotan!" Kaito declared. Albireo then leapt into the air and aimed his spear at the Plant Monster before throwing the weapon.
"Hah! You really are a glutton for pain!" she chuckled as her trap card activated, making him realize it. "Activating trap card, D2 Shield!"
"Crap!" Kaito cursed himself, as more petals surrounded her, deflecting the spear upwards. Instead of returning to his Monster's side, it hovered a bit, engulfed within the leaves.
"Too bad, since you attacked my monster, my monster's defense will be doubled, making your attempt of touching her fail!" she chuckled as the spear now hovered in front of the princess.
Chirubimé, Princess of Autumn Leaves (8: ATK: 1800/DEF: 2800–5600)
"Now, enjoy your pain!" she thrusted her finger at him, commanding the princess. With a wave of her hand, the spear flew over his monster and–
*STAB!*
Kaito's eyes were wide open, noticing the spear piercing through his left thigh, forcing him to kneel down in pain. "Gh… Gh… GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Kaito cried out in pain as he was forced to drop to one knee from the pain.
Kaito: 6350
Emma: 8000
"HAHAHAHAHA!" she laughed manically, enjoying her moment. "That is one expression I would love to see! The face of someone who is struggling to stay on his feet! But now, look at you! You're kneeling before me!"
Kaito grit his teeth in an attempt to hold back the pain as the spear vanished from his leg and back into Albireo's hands, blood pouring from the teen's wound.
"You're not going to survive this if you hold me back. You know I can heal you…" the voice in Kaito's head pointed out.
The teen closed his eyes, trying to think of a reason not to but in light of his current situation he saw no other choice.
"Fine…" Kaito reluctantly spat out. "I'll give you control… Geist…"
As if in response, a malevolent aura soon surged around Kaito's body. When the teen raised his head back up, his eyes had turned purple with slit pupils and his hair shifted from its natural Azure color to a bloody shade of Crimson. Steam soon rose up from various areas of his body as his injuries were slowly healed.
"Hm?" she pondered, as the possessed Digital HERO slowly raised his head up, leveling his gaze on her.
"Hey there… bitch." 'he' smirked.
"How dare you! I'm older than you, so know your place!" she snapped.
"You've injured my host and nearly killed me in the process… I believe the favor should be repaid…" 'Kaito' said as he looked through the rest of the cards in his hand. "Nothing more to do with these, so I'll end my turn, meaning Albireo's ATK returns to normal." (4/ATK: 3200–1600/DEF: 1400)
"Hah! I don't know who you are, but it won't matter! Because in the end…" she paused, drawing her next card. "You'll share his fate as well! Premature Burial!"
"You'll pay your 800 Life Points for your Lonefire Blossom." he said, making her surprised from it.
'How did he know what I'll do next?' she thought to herself as the same fire flower sprouted before her while she winced in pain, having her Life Points drained out from her body.
Kaito: 6350
Emma: 7200
"And let me guess: you're gonna call not the usual ones like Tytania, but rather…" he paused as the same fire flower start to grow once again, with Emma still having a shock in her face. "…Talaya, Princess of Cherry Blossoms."
"W–What?!" she stuttered, as the white lily princess bloomed out from the flower. (8/ATK: 2800/ DEF: 1200)
"I know what your Deck is with just this turn." 'he' said. "Your deck focuses on beat sticks, while using this Field's effect to affect your opponent's usual tactics. How boring…"
"Boring, you say?" she growled angrily. "Let's see what you have to say once Talaya send your monster back to your homeland! And she'll be getting a power–up for each Plant–Type on the field by 100 ATK!"
Talaya, Princess of Cherry Blossoms (8/ATK: 2800–3000/DEF: 1200)
The white lily princess held her fan and with a swing of her fan, the white petals suddenly turn sharp and it flew towards his Monster across the Field.
"I activate the facedown on my Field, Smokescreen," 'Kaito' countered as his facedown card rose and a thick black smoke surrounded his side of the field. "When my opponent would declare an attack while I control a Digital HERO Monster, I can negate the attack and end the Battle Phase."
Albireo held a few small pallets between his fingers and quickly threw it down. A large smoke covers his side of the field, making the flower petals missed its target, including 'Kaito' himself. "Gh! You just got lucky! I'll set one card and that would be all!" she exclaimed while the same hologram appeared on her Field.
"Then I'll draw…" 'Kaito' said casually as he slowly drew his next card, which caused him to smirk. "I activate the effect of Vagrant A.I. – Tartarga from my Hand, sending him to the Graveyard in order to draw three more cards." After pushing the card into his Graveyard slot, 'Kaito' slowly drew out his next three cards.
'Why do I feel… malice from him?' Emma pondered while 'Kaito' took his time to look at his cards. 'It's as if he's a different person entirely. And it makes my skin crawls for some reason…'
Looking at the cards he had drawn, 'Kaito' smirked deviously, "I activate the Spell card, Foolish Burial, to send Digital HERO – Kite of the Azure Flame from my Deck to my Graveyard…" 'Kaito' then pulled out his deck and searched through it before revealing the declared Monster and pushing it into his Graveyard slot along with the Spell card, shuffling his deck and putting it back.
"Hah! I'm certain you don't want to get yourself harmed, huh?" she taunted, but 'Kaito' wasn't fazed by it. But rather, enjoying his opponent's last moment of bragging rights, as she is about to face what she'll be getting soon.
"I release Digital HERO – Albireo…" 'Kaito' started as his Monster was soon removed from the field. "to summon Digital HERO – Flugel."
The next Monster to appear on the field was a grown man with a golden monocle covering his right eye. He also had long, white hair, and wore armored boots and a black trench coat adorned with clocks. (7/ATK: 2400/DEF: 2000)
"And let us not forget about what's going to happen next!" she scoffed, as the same thorns curled up and expanded in a rapid manner. Next thing they knew–
*BOOM!*
"Hah! Suffer before–" she was about to brag, but much to her surprise, not only the thorns missed its target, but also hovered before it wilted away. Despite all of that, he still took damage due to the Field Spell's effect.
'Kaito': 4950
Emma: 7200
"Since I controlled a Digital HERO Monster, I could summon Flugel with only one sacrifice," 'Kaito' stated. "But now I activate Flugel's Monster Effect. By selecting one of your Monsters, its effects will be negated and it will be unable to attack until my next Standby Phase. So I'll choose your Talaya. Brieler Rössle!"
Flugel slowly dug one hand into his coat before pulling out a gold handgun with a clock on either side of the barrel. After taking aim at Talaya, Flugel fired a couple of rounds at the Monster. But instead of destroying Talaya, the Plant Monster was encased in crystal instead.
"No! My monster!" she exclaimed, noticing the shock on Talaya's expression. As she was also in a state of shock, she calmed herself down, taking a deep breath before immediately showing her poker face. "Even so, you can't easily penetrates through my Chirubimé's defense!"
"That doesn't concern me, your Monster doesn't have the ATK to take on Flugel anyway, so I'll end my turn here," 'Kaito' said. "Not that I'd be able to attack with Flugel anyway after using his effect."
"Tch!" she hissed as she drew her next card. While looking at her card, she was displeased from what she had in her hand.
"Let me guess… you don't have the right card right now, don't you?" 'Kaito' said, making her slowly loose her calm.
"Heh, I want to see what's going to happen next when I do this!" she exclaimed as Chirubimé dropped her defense down and gets into her offensive stance. "And by applying Sword and Shield, all of the monsters' ATK and DEF would be switched until End Phase!" (8/ATK: 1800–2800/DEF: 2800–1800)
'Kaito' glanced at Flugel as his Monster's ATK and DEF were swapped as well, but otherwise remained calm. (7/ATK: 2400–2000/DEF: 2000–2400)
"Now, Chirubimé! Scattered that monster away with your beautiful dance!" she commanded as the princess gestured her fingers and arms, making the autumn leaves hover before her. Then it flew towards the lone warrior, trying to inflict more damage.
Flugel was practically ripped apart by the leaves, causing him to explode into pixels. But as the leaves drew nearer to 'Kaito', the teen simply held out his left arm and the leaves suddenly stopped. When the teen smirked, the leaves burst into flames and were reduced to ashes.
'Kaito': 4150
Emma: 7200
"Is that all you can do?" 'he' taunted her, clearly making her mad.
"I'm not done yet! Activating Blossom Bombardment!" she activated her trap card, gathering all of the thorns around him once more. "Since my monster destroyed your monster, you'll take damage equal to your destroyed monster's ATK!"
"Hmph, like I care…" he scoffed before the thorns erupted and just like before, 'Kaito' simply stopped it and makes it wilted away.
'Kaito': 2150
Emma: 7200
"Hah, let's see if you can close this gap while you are in a disadvantage, weakling! I end my turn!" she scoffed while crossing her arms, indicating she has no more cards in her hand.
"Is that so? I beg to differ…" he boasted as Talaya broke away from her confinement, glaring on 'Kaito'.
"…you do know that you've walked into my paradise, after all… a paradise where not even YOU can even make a comeback!"
'Kaito' continued to grin, "I remove Digital HERO – Kite of the Azure Flame in my Graveyard from play…" As 'Kaito' trailed off, a dark vortex opened up behind him with Kite materializing onto the field before being pulled into the void.
The plant princesses looked at the vortex where Kite was being pulled, only to realize a darker than black arms shot out from it, trying to make its entrance through it. "W–What is this feeling I'm getting?" Emma pondered, as fear ran through her veins.
The area then started to shake violently. "To Special Summon...Digital HERO – Cubia, the Anti–Existence!" 'Kaito' called out as, from the vortex, emerged the youth that nearly killed the Duel Academy students. (12/ATK: ?/DEF: 4000)
WARGH!" she screamed in horror, as a large chunk of building penetrated through the Stage of Thorns, only to have both princesses push away the debris from hitting her, thanks to the Shadow Duel.
"And now… the moment that you've been waiting for… its effect." 'Kaito' had the devilish smirk on his face, clearly enjoying the moment.
"T–T… The effect…?" she stuttered, clearly the view was much scarier than what she displayed to Kaito earlier.
"When Special Summon this way, Cubia's original ATK becomes 4000," 'Kaito' explained. (12/0-4000/4000) "Then, for every Digital HERO in my Graveyard, Cubia's ATK increases by 800, and by my count there's now 7 which increases his ATK by 5600." (12/ATK: 4000–9600/DEF: 4000)
"W–Which means…" she stuttered, before she remembered something, "Hold on! My Talaya is 3000 ATK; still leaving me with a few Life Points left!"
"Not for long. Cubia has one other effect…" 'Kaito' said with a twisted grin. "Once per turn, by sending the top three cards of my deck to the Graveyard, I can remove all cards you control from play and inflict 400 damage for each card."
As 'Kaito' pulled the top three cards from his deck and pushed them into his Graveyard as Cubia held out his left arm, a black, crystal–like bracelet forming around his wrist.
"Kiero…" Cubia commanded as the bracelet glowed darkly, causing the princesses to realize that… they are being dragged down into the ground, where the ripple of void can be clearly seen. Before the two knew it–
*SWOOSH!*
The dark hands dragged them down in a split second and the splash made at the portal burned her clothes slightly, indicating the damage has been inflicted.
'Kaito': 2150
Emma: 6400
It is then she realized one more thing… why didn't the field spell didn't affect this… this… being? "Why…? Why didn't you take the damage from this fiend's summoning?!"
"Because on the turn Cubia is summoned, card effects my opponent controls cannot be activated," 'Kaito' explained.
"N–No… this can't be…" she stuttered as she ended up sitting on her bottom, slowly crab–walking her way out.
"Oh? Where are you going now?" 'Kaito' chuckled, slowly approaching towards her. "What happened to your taunts just now, bitch? Are you going to run away… while things are just getting interesting? We haven't reached the best part yet!"
"Best… part?" she stuttered, now feeling terrified.
"We don't need these thorns to make blood flow… tell me, how does it feel like when your world is filled with darkness?"
"Eh?"
*SLASH!*
'Kaito': 2150
Emma: 0
Her eyes were wide open, not noticing what has happened before her… until her very last moment. As her head tilted to the left…
"…die." Cubia muttered as her head rolled to the side, while the fountain of red blood gushed out from her beheaded body. As the duel ended, so did the effect of the Shadow Duel; dematerializing Cubia from its physical self.
'Kaito' then took a deep breath and exhaled as he held out his left hand and a tarot card materialized in his hand, "Feels so good to finally be free… Sorry Kaito, but you won't be getting this body back any time soon. Just like you, I have some business to take care of with Orma… He wants to see my power? I'll let him experience it for himself…"
TWF: Well… somebody call 911 cause here comes trouble!
Fen: Call 911?! More like call the armed forces!
TWF: In any case, on the next chapter, we'll be focusing on a Tag Duel. A dream tag between two decks from different worlds against a pair of duelists that tries to stop them at all cost. Though, I bet you guys are gonna complain about, "Why did you guys take out the tag duel between Hassleberry and Syrus vs two Monarchs?" or something like that. Like we said before, we wanted to make things different and for the sake of other authors that allows us to control their OCs, this is the best that we can do.
Fen: You got that right, Fang! And btw, which two decks would be teaming up for the next chapter?
TWF: The only hints I could give you would be robots from the future and warriors from different planet. Both of them have one thing in common: justice. That's all I could give ya'.
Fen: So until then, see ya next chapter! And special thanks to The Azure Guardian for helping out!
