Your going to hate me by the end of this chapter;)
Disclaimer: there's really not much point to this anymore
I nodded. "Ok. Now where were we?" I asked with a cheeky smile and moved Roza back to the centre of the bed.
"Oh I remember," Rose said laughing and we continued.
Abe's POV
One down, one to go, I thought as I walked down the hall to the royal suits that the lodge reserved for it's high ranking guests. If Belikov knew what was good for him then he would stay away from Rose. But just in case he didn't or he thought that after he leaves here and goes back to school with her that my threat no longer applies, then he has another thing coming. I intend to hire some eyes and ears around the place to make sure that he isn't teaching her any... new moves.
But he has been warned so whatever he did was on his head. Now I just had to deal with the playboy. Janine had told me that they had only been dating for a few weeks and that Rose had had training most of the time, so I wasn't to worried about this Adrian. But just in case he had any ideas about using my Rose like any other Dhampir girl then I was going to give him a piece of my mine...that is, if the rumors turned to be wrong.
The word around Court was that the notorious playboy Adrian Ivashkov had been flying solo for a while now and that the reason was because of a certain girl that he wasn't supposed to have any contact with, let alone fall for. But until I was absolutely sure that he didn't have any... bad intentions with my daughter, then I would give him the same talk that I had just given Belikov.
It's not that I didn't want my daughter to be happy and find someone to be with. It's just that so far she hasn't made the best decisions when it comes to men. And my daughter deserved the best, and whether or not she knew about me, I was going to look after her.
I reached Ivashkov's room and knocked on his door. He took awhile to answer and when he did, his clothes looked rumpled from sleep. What a dead beat, he was probably just going to live off of his family's money and position and never do anything with his life. Well Rose could do better and I was going to make sure of it.
RPOV
I woke up and rolled out of bed both tired and energized. Today was the day. If the people that wanted to hurt Lissa were going to launch an attack, it would have to either now or on the bus ride home. I jumped in the shower and got ready so that Lissa and I could walk down to breakfast together. There was no way that I was letting her out of my sight today. But luckily for me Lissa was so excited about our plans that she didn't even question why I was being so clingy today.
"- going to be even better than the hot tub! Though we will be using them today, but now we will be getting the whole package!" Lissa said excitedly as we walked into the dining room to meet the others. I looked over at Mason and Eddie, they were pretty engrossed in what their girlfriends were talking about but I knew that that was only because they had already checked out the room that we were going to be getting our massages in today and nothing triggered any alarm bells. That made me breathe a little easier.
"Hey girls, excited for today?" Jill asked as nice as ever. Good, the boys didn't share our suspicions about Stevie, better to keep them in the dark.
"Soooo excited! My skin is going to shine for a week after we get a good soaking in the hot tubs. Not to mention to oils that they use with the massage," Lissa said launching in to a full on discussion with Jill and Mia about what treatments they were going to get that went with the massage. While they were distracted, I leaned over and whispered to Mason and Eddie.
"Everything look good?" I asked just to make sure that we were on the same page.
"The security looks tight and the employees have been working here for a long time. I think we're good there," Mason said and Eddie nodded in agreement. I let out a breath. Good. So we weren't looking for an attack from the spa people. That just meant it was Stevie and whoever he was in cahoots with.
"-so good. What do you think Rose?" Lissa asked me and I looked back at her...oh great! I had no idea what she was going on about...ummmm.
"Well I want most of the work done on my back, it's still sore," I said and hoped that they were still talking about the spa treatments.
"Yeah that would be a really good idea for you. But what about a skin invigorating scrub? You've been through a lot of physical stuff lately," Lissa said. Phew, she didn't notice me not listening.
"Yeah maybe," I said and smiled to make it seem like I was interested. The truth was that at another time I would have loved this treat, but with Lissa in potential trouble, I wasn't going to be doing all that much relaxing.
After another couple of minutes of mindless spa talk, Adrian came over to sit down with us...but he looked a little off.
"Hey man what's up with you? Did you get hammered last night?" Eddie asked when he sat down.
"I actually would have preferred that. At least I would have some good memories if that happened. No I actually just recovered from a call from my parents. It didn't end well," Adrian said shrugging it off.
"Aww man that's rough. Anything bad?" Mason asked actually sounding genuine. Ever since they found out that I was only fake dating Adrian, Mason's and Eddie's attitudes towards him had gotten a lot better. They had finally accepted that Adrian wasn't just using me for sex and really had feelings for Sydney. So now he was just one of the guys.
"Naaaa just the usual. So we still good for today? I could use something to get rid of headache," Adrian said and on the conversation went. But something about his story didn't sit right with me. When everyone was busy talking, I whispered to him.
"Hey, is everything really ok? Sydney's not in trouble is she?" I asked hoping that the answer was no. I had only met her once but I had seen the way that she makes Adrian feel and that was enough for her to be good in my books.
"No, everything's fine with her. But the real reason that I'm not my usual sunny self is because I just got the strangest threat from that investigator guy," Adrain said keeping his voice just as low as mine.
"Really?" I asked unable to believe it. Seriously, what was this guy's problem? Telling me to stay away from Dimitri, then telling Dimitri to stay away from me. And now threatening Adrian with probably the same thing? What had I don't to get under this guy's skin?
"What did he tell you?" I asked just to be sure.
"Just that if I ever pushed you into anything that you didn't want then he was going to inflect some pretty imaginative punishments on me. I really don't know why he's bothering, as if I could make you open a jar of pickles if you didn't want to."
That was it. After we got back to the school if that guy didn't start leaving me alone then I was going to report him to Alberta. There was no way that I was going to take this.
But just as I was getting good and angry, Stevie came over to our table and I was instantly on guard.
"Good morning Princess," he said smiling at her and giving a barely acknowledge nod of his head to the rest of us. "If you are all finished with your breakfast then the spa has been prepared for you."
We all got up and went back to our rooms to get changed into swimming suits that we could relax in when in the hot tub and that would be easy enough to take off when we were getting massages and treatments.
Ten minuets later, we were all at the doors and ready to go. I texted Dimitri when I was getting changed and he had just arrived.
"Notice anything?" I whispered after everyone had said their hello's.
"So far so good. I have a feed into the lodge security so I'll be the first to know if we had any trouble," he whispered back looking as alert as ever. Finally the doors were opened and we filed in.
"Oh it's even better than last time!" Lissa said excitedly
"Smell the air! They mush have put something in it to make it smell like a big bunch of flowers!" said Jill as everyone started getting in to the water to relax their muscles before the massage and treatments.
"Well hello Guardian Belikov, I didn't expect to see you in this neck of the woods," I heard a happy voice call out from behind me and I saw Jack walking towards us with a big smile next to Stevie who saw scowling at Dimitri's presence. Yeah didn't expect him here did you? I thought.
"What brings you to the spas my good man?" Jack asked when he stopped in front of us.
"The Princess invited me. She didn't want me to feel left out. I told her that I would fell more awkward if I came, but she wouldn't take no for an answer and I wasn't in a position to refuse," Dimitri said immediately, like it was the truth. When did he get so good at lying? Was I rubbing off on him?
"Well it's nice to see you again. We haven't talked much ever since you stole this lovely lady away from us two weeks ago," Jack said smiling at me. I smiled back, Jack just had one of those smiles you know?
"We will need to re schedule if you want any treatment," Stevie said sounding as happy as he did before.
"Nothing for me, I'm just here to keep the Princess company thank you," Dimitri said formally. He may not think that Stevie is the bad guy, but I was starting to think that he didn't like the guy either.
"ROSE! Get your butt into this water right now!" Lissa called and I went to join her. I got in the water and had trouble not melting right then and there. It was a good thing that I had Dimitri here to keep me focused because it the water and the air weren't distractions enough, then my massage would be.
"All right who's first?" asked a pretty red headed lady in a white uniform as she stood at the front of the hot tubs.
"Oh me!" cried Mia. She called out and went into the dark room. I looked over at Dimitri and he moved over near the room. Far enough away to not be accused of perving on a girl, but close enough to help is something went wrong.
"Anybody else ready?" asked a young man in the same wight uniform.
"I got next!" called Mason and he was off.
And just like that one by one we were all take away for our massages. So far nothing bad had happened. Though I did insist on going with Lissa.
"Come on it will be fun!" I said more excited than I felt, but luckily Lissa bought it and we got tables side by side. And I've got to hand it to the lodge, they did hire the best. My back felt as soft as butter when they were done and though I was as on guard as I could be, nothing happened. Lissa and I walked out and relaxed back into the water.
"Alright I'm just going to lower the room lights so you can all have a rest period while you body soaks up the minerals in the water." said the red headed lady as she did just that.
Now with Dhampir night vision darkness didn't really bother us, but I was still pretty zoned out after my massage to think clearly. I was once again thankful that I had Dimitri here.
After a few minutes I think that I was in serious danger of falling asleep when I heard Dimitri muttering something into his head piece.
"What's the situation?... How many? ...Have we lost communication with them?"
That didn't sound good. I sat up and ordered my body to work as I got out of the water and went over to Dimitri.
"What's wrong?" I asked in a worried whisper.
"The front gate is under attack. But it's a small number and they have no hope of overpowering us. But it makes me wonder what their goal here is."
Well here it was. We had been waiting all week for this. The next attack. I turned the lights back to full strength and got some complaints for it.
"Rose what's up?" asked a half alert Mason.
"There's an attack at the front gates. I'm not sure what's going on but as of now we're on hight alert," I said in a calm but authoritative voice.
"What! Why are they here? What do we do?" asked a panicked Jill.
"We kick their butts that's what," said Mia looking for a fight since she was surrounded by so much water.
"Whoa, no you don't! That's what we're here for," said Mason as he and Eddie got out of the water and spread around the room. Even without stakes, they were ready to fight.
"The radio isn't working. I'm going to go and ask Alberta what we should do. But I think that we should move the Princess to a safer location," Dimitri said and Lissa started walking towards him.
When suddenly the doors all around us slammed shut and metal bars slid down over them.
"What's going on here?" I heard Stevie franticly speaking into his head set. "What is the meaning of this?" he asked getting worked up.
"Dimitri what's going on?" Lissa asked worriedly as I moved next to him as he handed me his back up stake.
"The radios are down and were trapped here. Be ready for anything," he said to me in full Guardian mode.
Stevie looked around panicked. "Who's responsible for this!?" he called out.
"You should know, this was all your idea!" Lissa shouted coming over to stand closer to me and just behind Dimitri.
"What?" Stevie asked looking flustered and panicked. No wonder he failed on his mission to look after us at the mall.
"The massage and spa treatments were all your idea," I said looking at him with hatred leaking through my Guardian mask.
"What? No, I mean yes I took credit for the idea. He said that he didn't mind and that I needed to get on the Princesse's good side after what happened at the mall."
"He who?" Dimitri asked.
"That would be me," said the familiar voice from behind us. We all turned to look at the spy and finally found out his true identity. But I never would have guessed who it was.
NO.
AAAA I did it again! Well you know the drill
What are they going to do?
Is Stevie really the spy and just playing dum?
And if he isn't then who?
Please review:)?
