The End

of

Morgan's P.O.V

Blood was all I could smell and see as I made my way through the white hallways. There was a screeching from behind me before a hysterical human girl bolted past me. My reflexes were natural as I wrapped my hand around her blonde hair, pulling her to my chest. Her warm body felt so good against my cold one, and after brushing her hair away from her neck, I inhaled the sweet aroma of human blood.

"P-P-Please, I have a kid. I have a family! Don't, please!" She begged through her tears.

I stared down at her glassy brown eyes and cocked my head to the side, "The vampires you tested on had a family. They have children and husbands and wives," I traced a finger down her pale cheek. She whimpered and jerked away from my touch, her bottom lip quivering and her eyes fluttering shut. "Yet you still killed them. Explain to me why I should let you live?"

"I-I . . ." She couldn't form a sentence through her sobs. I knew, however, that she didn't have an explanation except that they were vampires and she was a human.

I grinned a predatory grin and I could feel her heart beating faster against my chest. Her knees quivered and I could smell the stench of urine. My nose curled in disgust and I scoffed at her pathetic reaction to death. I had faced death head first, yet this little bitch couldn't face me?

"What did I tell you about playing with your food, love?"

His hand brushed against my lower back before he was standing beside me, his calculating blue eyes staring down the girl. She whimpered and began to claw at my hand that held her hair. Did she honestly think she could get away from me? In the blink of an eye, I had her pressed against a clean wall and had my fangs sunk deep in her vein. She screamed bloody murder as I drank her life source, my eyes fluttering shut with pleasure as the alluring liquid ran over my tongue and down my throat. It sent a surge of power through my body that made me moan and rub my body against the human's, wanting more.

When Bill Compton had drained me to near death months ago, my lover, my Eric had no choice but to change me. It wasn't exactly how I imagined my change from human to vampire to go, but I couldn't be picky. Not when my life was hanging in the balance. I don't remember much of that night except that I had been with Eric, simply enjoying our time together. It was no secret that Bill was a huge threat hanging over our heads.

The door had been kicked down and I remember the blinding pain that had ran down my left leg. Eric was shouting, begging for something? I couldn't hear his words over the pounding of my heart as cold hands grabbed me viciously by the hair and yanked my neck to the left. There was a prick, like I was getting a shot, before I began to feel tired. My vision was getting darker around the edge and I could faintly see Eric against a wall, watching helplessly as Bill drank all of my blood.

After that, it was all dark before I woke up at night in a ditch with Eric. I was a vampire and the feeling was euphoric. I was so fast and strong, it was so empowering. I remember the steamy vampire sex Eric and I had, and God was it so much better when he wasn't being careful with me. Although Bill had attempted to cause us pain, he'd only brought us closer. Eric was stronger knowing that I couldn't be easily hurt like before. I was stronger knowing that I could take care of myself, and maybe Eric when the time came.

I was brought back to the present when there was no more blood to suck. Grunting with displeasure, I released my hold on the girl and her body fell lifelessly at my feet. She was so pale and for a second, I felt a tinge of regret. Then I looked at where I was and remembered why she was running down the halls screaming for her life.

"Satisfied?"

I turned around and smirked at Eric. He was leaning patiently against the wall, covered from head to toe in blood. It was beginning to dry and crust over, but he wasn't the least bit uncomfortable. I knew he took pride of the blood he wore.

"Not the least bit," I purred, slowly walking towards him. I ran my finger down his chest and stopped when it skimmed across his bloodied belt buckle. "I want more, Eric. So much more."

He wrapped his hand around my smaller one, "And you will, my love. Once we avenge Nora's death, you can have all the blood in the world. I'll make sure of it."

Nora. Even in death she fucked things up. But I couldn't entirely blame her. It was that fucking doctor Overlark who had caused my Eric such pain. He was the reason why we were raiding Burrell's camp. He gave Nora that wretched Hep V and because of it, she'd met the True Death. He was the reason why we were slaughtering all of the doctors in Burrell's camp.

It was time for them to die and we were going to enjoy watching.

"Come, let's see what's happening." Eric quickly changed the subject, leading me further down the hallway.

We walked hand in hand down the hallway, stepping over ripped limbs of humans and past blood covered walls. I stopped to stare as five vampires sat back and watched as two humans fucked each other. The woman had tears streaming down her face and the man looked like he was slightly enjoying it.

I didn't think before I was inside of the room, the man's neck snapped. The woman screamed and scooted as far as she could from me, holding her hands over her breasts to try and save some type of dignity she had. The five vampires growled in displeasure and took threatening steps towards me.

Before they could get any closer, Eric was in front of me and snarling at them. Fear showed clearly in their eyes and within milliseconds they were darting out of the room and down the hallway.

Eric faced the woman, "Out. Now." He growled.

She was nodding her head furiously and quickly gathered her ripped doctor's coat. I watched as she left before glancing back at the silver operating table. The man's body laid crooked beneath it, his eyes open in shock. He was completely naked, and with memory of my own rape, I crouched down and ripped his dick off.

"I fucking hate men." I growled, tossing his member across the room.

Eric ran his hands soothingly up and down my shoulders, not saying anything. He knew that what had happened at the Authority months ago was still a sore subject, and it was obvious when I refused to have sex with him on certain nights. On some nights, the memories were so terrible that I would feel like I was back in that room and tied up again.

It took a couple of minutes before I was calm enough to see clearly. With a nod of my head, Eric began to lead me out of the bloodied room. He knew where we were going, and when he opened a door to a room, I went in without question. I immediately regretted it.

The room had a mirror and I could see into a circular room. In the middle of the room, Bill Compton lied with a dozen vampires surrounding him and sucking his blood. The sun roof was slowly open and with revulsion, I awaited for the vampires to realize that they could walk in the sun. When it did come, blood tears ran down their pale faces as they held their arms out, as if praying to a God.

"He's not moving," I whispered in surprise as the vampires left the room, as Jessica, left her maker on the ground and unmoving. "Is he- Is he dead?"

"Let's hope."

I couldn't keep my smile hidden any longer. I watched as Bill stared at nothing but seemed to be internally freaking out. I spun around, wrapping my arms around Eric's torso.

"I love you." I whispered, standing on my toes and brushing my lips against his.

He smirked, "I know. Now, let's go and enjoy the sun."

The halls were empty and when we entered into the sun, I was pleasantly surprised to see vampires there. They were singing and racing in the sun, hugging each other and happy. And who wouldn't be? We were walking in the sun! It was something we never expected to do again yet here we were. I had no idea where they were going but I wanted to follow, to join in on the celebration.

I began to walk behind them but Eric tugged me back into his chest. I stared up at him in curiosity, having to blink a couple of times when I saw the serious expression on his face. Wasn't he happy? We were in the sun. I could feel the heat warming my skin up and for a moment, I felt like I was alive.

"Let's go."

"Go where?"

"Somewhere else. Anywhere. The Bahamas, Hawaii, to my home." He whispered, brushing a blood stained finger down my cheek.

I leaned into his touch, "Of course. Wherever you want, Eric."

He grinned, "The world is ours, Morgan. We can walk in the sun. Just imagine what we could do."

"I don't care about the fucking sun, long as I'm with you, I couldn't give a damn if we were in fucking Alaska."

Eric didn't say anything, his eyes searching mine for something. When he found what he wanted, he bent down and roughly pressed his lips against mine. My eyes fluttered shut and I felt myself fall into his trap, allowing my body to go slack as he lead me somewhere unknown. My feet shuffled against the floor and suddenly, we weren't on the ground. My eyes shut open and I gasped, clutching him tighter to me.

The first thing I saw was Eric's beautiful face smiling down at me. And I knew that if the sun died out tomorrow, I couldn't give a shit. Eric was my sun and as long as I had him, everything was perfect.
