Smiles; So you finally decided which chapter will end Institute?
Jester; That's right my friend and all our kind readers Institute will end on chapter thirty-four. With a little of Smiles help I'm trying to make the final two chapters long and packed with action. So lets get right into the reviews. He23t yes its very stressful for him but it give him a lot to think about. Ventus Uzumaki of course it's a triangle that's what Smiles and I agreed on. Finn's View
I was feeling a little better my mind wasn't buzzing with emotions and I could hear Angeni again. The inner system of the mountain that housed the Well was one big spiral staircase going down. After a few hours we came to a set of double doors with a bunch of dial locks on them. Jake pulled out the map while Jermaine held a light to the paper. Jermaine, "The map says we need the seven locks to open at the same time. How are we going t do that"? Nazz, "Please child's play Jake turn into a staircase would you please. Jermaine stay with Finn and no Finn your going to sit back and relax". Sighing in defect we all took our places but I let my mind slip into the void I really wanted to talk to Angeni.
Canyon's View
Walking with the two young princesses I told them if they wanted to impress an adventurer like Finn we needed to make a stop in a certain town. It was along our route so we had time to stop. Walking into the small shop to the back we saw the one and only CY she designed every adventurers outfit for the last twenty years. CY, "Well if it ain't Canyon been awhile since you popped into my shop. Tell me how's you and the boys been doing"? "They're fine CY Finn's stilling doing his job as the champion and Jake is planning to become a teacher". CY burst into laugher questioning who would show up to the lazy Bulldogs class. Smiling we talked a little more but in time I told her why I stopped by. "CY I need you to make these two look the part they want to show Finn they got what it takes to be his girl".
CY raised and eyebrow and walked over pipe still in her mouth. She waved me to step back and she walked around the two. Tapping Jungle princess's arms the poking Flame princess's stomach. CY, "You Flame princess I can tell from you muscle definition you hardly use you body in a fight and you Jungle princess you have some skill but not enough. Canyon if you plan to take these girls I'm not only going to give them the look they're going to get trained as well". "Wow you two are lucky CY rarely trains newbies the only other newbie she trained was Finn" CY, "Yup first day Joshua and his family walked in with Finn he was bursting with energy like a super ball. But when he came back after they passed I saw the pain behind those glasses of his.
"You two think you got the boobs to help him with that pain? Then prove to me you can do more then look good. I've trained the best of them and I did so in my wormhole training room. Follow me downstairs and be ready to experience a whole new kind of pain". As we walked downstairs CY opened a door under the stairs for the basement. Inside was a mix martial arts six-sided ring. CY, "You two will learn to fight in styles that humans once fought using, Finn and Jack used them and so will you. Now be ready cause the next week will be pretty intense got it". Seeing both the girls nod I smiled thinking that they might actually be able to go beyond my expectations.
Jermaine's View
Seeing the gold lights travel through the underside of my little brothers skin I knew he was talking to him inner self. Jake and Nazz had made quick work of the locks she was already on the sixth dial and only two hours had gone passed. Seeing the lights end in Finn's body he opened his eyes and said, "Sup bro they finished yet"? Shaking my head I pointed to show him the Nazz had just made it to the last dial lock. "Finn if that guy Marcus is as powerful as you say we'll all need to be on out toes". Finn, "But that's the thing he seems to hate it when people he works with try to do things too close to home. I think he wants to confront me without the rest of you involved. He agreed to help Corey only to poison him so the Jade king could capture him".
"Then it makes him even more danger little brother I talked to Stan while you were resting. Under city is buzzing with word that your bounty rose a little the bosses really want you dead". Finn smiled as Nazz continued to give Jake directions. Finn, "Jermaine you are one of a handful of people that are really my family. But I understand now that I need more then family to hold me together I need friends. I see now the mistake Jack warned me about I need to have a closed circle but also a good amount of people to watch my back. But really can you see Jake teach a class"? "No" looking at him with a smirk Finn burst into laughter. With that the doors began to open sliding inward as Finn wobbled to standup.
Holding his arm we walked over to Nazz and Jake who also aided Finn in walking down the narrow path. Inside the path we found that it was well kept and completely untouched. Soon we found the famous Well but standing in the Well was a statue of a female knight. The armor she wore was so ornate that it almost like it wasn't made for combat. Standing before the Well and the water running down her body she began to speck. Statue, "I see you young beings why are you in my home"? Jake, "Please miss Well my brother needs guidance… he needs help to bring out his inner strength please". Statue, "Come forward young man and bath yourself in the waters of my Well". Taking his jacket, shoes, and his adventure gear we placed Finn to sit in the water. Finn was in nothing but his pants and short sleeve shirt.
Leaning back until only his head was sticking out of the water Finn once more entered his inner mind. Statue, "He will awaken in five hours and once he is strong enough I will give him the final piece of knowledge he needs to know to be ready to combat the evil that hides in your homeland". Nodding we sat down and began to play cards hoping Finn would be ok.
Flame princess's View
"Man is this what Finn had to go through"? I asked as miss CY made me and Jungle princess kick a sandbag multiple times. CY, "Unlike Finn you two like most woman have more strength in our legs then men. Yes Finn has a great overall body that allows him to be well rounded in a fight. But in the end even he has limitation because of his physical stature. Jungle princess I will teach you the style called Capoeira and Flame princess I will teach you Tae Kwon Do. Right now you two need to learn to stand, then to balance, then finally to perform. Like I told others a fight is like a dance you must watch your opponent and yourself. In his fights you may have noticed that Finn is always studying yes I will teach you the same now lets move over to the training dummies". Leaving the sandbag CY used magic to bring forth holograms taking their places. The dummies then showed us two different kinds of kicks.
Motioning us to our respective dummies mine did two low kicks then a chest high heel kick. After watching the dummy a little I gave it a try. After the two low kicks I tried to get my leg up high enough but only got as high as the dummies waist. Jungle princess did a little better then me. Her knee did connect correctly but she hardly extended it in time to push the dummy back. She landed uneven and seeing CY exhale from he pipe told us everything. CY, "See the skill differences between you two are really apparent. You want Finn to see you, as more then just another set of giggling girls then you must get better. Not to worry I'll help you get the basics down and then when I think your ready you'll get you new clothes. Also I set the limit to the room to us time travels much slower. Five hours in here is one outside and we won't be able to leave until the week is up.
"Now follow these holograms and begin your first practice set after two hours of this set you can take a break. Then we move right into the next set understand". Nodding we following our holograms to different sides of the room again. Jungle princess took the same stance as the dummy moving from one side to the other in an almost dancing motion. My dummy had me stand with one leg slightly off the ground in front of me with an arm extended. Standing with one side forward and my other in the opposite direction. The dummy took it slow showing me how to slide low and kick upward. Feeling the strain in my leg to try and reach that high was almost painful. But I had to push forward Finn was sick and bed ridden and Glob knows how long it'll take him to come out of it.
Looking over Jungle princess slid low and landed a high kick with both her legs extended. But her leg to slide from under her, causing her to fall on her butt. "CY was right this is going to take awhile". Looking at the dummy it was back at the first position so I walked back and took my position.
Third person's View
It was passed nightfall when Finn finally woke up his face wasn't pale and he looked as if he was glowing. Statue, "Young champion I have felt you past and future. And I know what you need to do to finally end the evil that lives in your world. You must go beyond the call of simply being OOO's champion you must become the protector of the world as a whole. You must reestablish the balance that was lost long ago even before the time of late human life. Finn you are not the last human there is a few others hidden in the light. Like you they have found away to hid amount the people and I seen that only a few have crossed your path. Finn you must journey to the land of the dead and speck to Death herself. Ask her about the doors she will understand also thanks to the waters you have regained your inner peace.
"As well as opened untouched levels of Chi that laid asleep inside you. Finn your destiny is far beyond what most expect farewell young champion I will await your victory". With that the Statue fell quiet and Finn and his family thanked her as they left. Finn felt better then ever the tension he felt in the back of his mind was gone and he just couldn't stop smiling. It was an hour already and Finn's smile hadn't left his face. Nazz, "Finn you ok you look way too happy dude"? Finn, "That's just it Nazz I feel happy there's no tension in my mind to tell me not to be happy. Jake hope your ready for next week cause I doubt you'll be ready to teach".
Jermaine, "Jake what are you teaching the kids anyway"? Jake, "I'm the new gym teacher". With that Finn burst into laugher saying, "Your going to teach others to be in shape while you pig out all the time that's a good one bro". Jake made a frown saying, "Not cool bro I don't always laze around". Nazz, "Jake I've spent a few days at the Fort and you have a permanent butt imprint on the couch you are lazy". Finn kept on laughing as Jake tried and failed to counter Nazz. Jermaine just grinned to himself looking at his little brother laugh like he was a kid again. Jermaine, ' Just need a good nudge thanks Nazz'.
On his first day back Finn was surprised that no one had heard from Flame or Jungle princess. Finn thought from a moment that it was because of him. But he didn't have long to think it over because Marshall was holding a get together at his place. Opening the portal reintroduced everyone to his mother Hunzel who had guests of her own. The queen of Demons, the Time wizard, and Death. Marshall, "Hey mom me and the guys are going to have a little guys night on the roof ok". Hunzel, "Fine but you better clean up this time the maids gave me a headache when they tried to removed all the stains last time". Marshall nodded but Finn went right up to Death and said, "Lady Death it's a pleasure to meet you. Do you mind if I speck to you for a moment"?
Death, "Its fine to speck here young champion you are after all my best source of income". Finn, "A wise Statue told me to ask you about the Doors". Death pulled her scythe and pressed it right to Finn's neck saying, "You must be crazy or eager to challenge me young man so which is it"? Finn, "I asked because I was told you could help me achieve me destiny. So I ask you what is your answer"? Death, "I'll help but to get what you ask you must best me in a contest. Finn the champion of OOO I challenge your very soul. If you are strong of will you will force my influence back if not I will crush you and drag your souls into my private garden. Which houses all the souls of value to me… so do we have a deal"? Serge, "Finn you can do it man go for it". Nodding his head Death place her scythe between the two and is began to spin in a circle.
Both Finn and Death's souls began to glow in the colors of their inner selves. Deaths being ash gray and Finn being gold their souls were sucked forward. As the souls of the two touched the scythe it began an exchange between the two souls. Slowly Death's souls began to creep into Finn's being filling him with her influence. Finn however wanted that he wanted to understand the meaning 'kissed by Death'. Finn felt sad, angry, pain, and confusion all at once. Allowing Death's influence to linger for about five minutes before he began to push her soul back. Death was shock that when the young man started to push her back successfully. Feeling Finn new formed emotional state touch her souls Death was even more surprised.
In time the battle was over and Death nodded that Finn had succeeded. Reaching into her inner pockets she pulled out an urn. Death, "Finn the only way to find what you seek is by finding the map of Seeds. The map is inside the Urn you can only open it with a specific key which was taken by a certain dead pirate". Marc, "Your saying the captain of the Dead man's end ship has the key". Death nodded as Ryan continued, "Finn that guy ain't no normal ghost unlike his sister boss Velvet pirate captain Red boot does more then kill people. He captures their very souls tortures them for days until they promise him one hundred years of service to make the pain stop". Nick, "I heard on the night of a full moon that his crew turns into invincible skeletons that just never dies". Marshall, "Not dying is what Invincible means Nick so once Finn gets the key the Urn opens".
Death, "Yes and he can select which tree his soul will travel to. But one of the trees he must journey to in his body. Also whatever tree you select must be finished before you select another one the Urn is very touch about that for some reason". Finn, "I'll I have to do is kill a guy know for causing problem for both the living and the dead great". Giving a chuckle Finn put the Urn in his bag and thanked Death. And with that the two groups went off to enjoy the evening.
CY's View
As I stood before the two young women I could really see the old days. When adventurers would go up and beyond to achieve greatness or some unknown valuable. "Well girls you've completed what I asked you to do in the time that I asked. As promised your new clothes wear then well. And if you need copies a friend of mine in Column city will be sure to help you as he helps Finn. Glob knows how many pairs of pants that boy goes through each month. Now remember I only increased your basics you must push yourselves by inventing your own full style. Like Finn he learned by fusing multiple combat styles into the styles that he was raised on. So good luck and I hope for the best from all of you. And make sure that Finn knows to send me a wedding invitation".
Hearing them giggle they went off to change as I sat with Canyon. Canyon, "I can't believe that they made it sure it pushed back our time to find the two artifacts but at least I know where they are". "Good to hear my dear and its good to see that you're still helping Finn. That boy changed the second time he walked through my door. I saw no mix of emotion when he walked through the door I saw him hold it in. Canyon you might want to consider that two is better then one. With the concentration of criminal activity Finn will need all the help he can get. Plus if it's these two Finn might not be able to keep his hands off them". Giving her a smile I looked up to see the two young women return Jungle princess wore skintight shorts, which was a two-layer fabric that women loved to use in gymnastics.
She wore an x fashioned tank top that held up her breasts rather nicely. Her hands, feet, knees, and elbows had a one layer skin tight cloth that was just to make her more comfortable. Around her wrists and neck were sets of three ring tribal pieces. From her tribe they focused on the various dangerous felines of the world so I added then for good measure. Flame princess wore puffy legged pants allowing her kicks to be more focused and strong. She wore a skintight short sleeve shirt with a cut off from the middle of her breast running down to her belly button. Around her hands and feet were one layer fighting pads. Bowing in thanks to me I sent the three women on their way. 'Finn they not only will make something of themselves. They're going to make a man out of you'.
