Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, I do not have any rights to Harry Potter and I do not make any money from writing these fic's.

Written for the Favourite House Boot Camp Challenge, I'm doing Draco/Harry pairing.

Prompts: In the end it does not matter

Does Not Matter

Tears poured down Harry's face as he sat curled up in a tight ball clinging to his lover, swollen puffy emerald green eyes looked up at into loving kind grey eyes.

"It does not matter, we have each other and they can think what they want to think," Draco said softly as he soothed his lover's wrecked nerves, "In the end it does not matter, after all of this is done and dusted and forgotten about at the end of the day everyone else will be the idiots when we disappear leaving them to deal with the war."

"But running away solves nothing," Harry whispered softly as he began to play with one of Draco's shirt buttons.

"We are not running away, we are listening to the advice your Grandfather gave us and we are taking it," Draco replied as he lifted a soothing hand and ran it through Harry's shoulder length black hair making Harry sigh happily, "Can you kill your own Grandfather Harry?"

"No...I can't, he is family after all," Harry replied as he bit his lower lip, "But what about-"

"Granger and the Weasley's where never your friend's to begin with love, bar the twins, they just wanted your money and fame, everyone on the light side betrayed you love and you know that," Draco repeated for what felt like the hundredth times but he kept saying it as he knew his lover needed to hear the words, "They have made their own bed of nails and now they need to lie in it."

"But I cannot help but feel like I have to help them out somehow before leaving," Harry said as he buried his head into Draco's shoulder, "I feel like I am-"

"You will do nothing because if you do one thing to help one side you will be betraying the other side which would make your guilt complex even worse," Draco replied quickly and firmly as he cut Harry off, "Just let me do all of the work love, let me do the worrying and feeling guilty for us both. Just follow my lead and blame me for everything that goes right or wrong."

"I cannot do that! It would not be fair!" Harry cried out in shock as he looked up at Draco, "We are a team! We are in this together so-"

"This would be the same if you allowed yourself to take on all of the guilt and worry," Draco said softly as he ran a loving hand through Harry's hair, "In the end it does not matter as our past decisions have all ready decided the outcome, unlike the Order of the flaming turkey we have stopped and taken everything into consideration. We will have a happy future love."

"What about our friends?" Harry asked as he looked up at Draco with large trusting eyes.

"Yes, they will too as you made sure I planned a happy ending for them too, remember?" Draco asked playfully only to give a sigh of relief as a small happy smile found its way onto Harry's face, "So how about you stop worrying and start planning how to decorate our new home?"

"I want no house colours beyond what is thought of as the normal so no one can link us back to Hogwarts or anything and I want a pet dog...or three, and I want a large garden," Harry began to ramble as he began to list off his wants while slowly relaxing into Draco's protective body.

As Draco listened to his lover's words a smile bloomed on his face as he listened and took in every word Harry spoke. His eyes sparkled as a heavily pregnant Harry with a little boy that was the perfect mixture of them both stood next to Harry, holding onto Harry's trouser leg.

'In the end it does not matter' Draco thought as he allowed himself to relax 'Because no matter what those light wizards try to do Harry and I are going to have our happy ending.'
