An angel got into the base's supercomputer and almost blew us all to kingdom come. A second longer and they would have activated the self-destruct sequence.
(deep sigh)
Dr. Akagi did the work this time...and it was a very good thing that she did, because this may well have been the closest call yet…
But why in the HELL is there a base self-destruct option in the Magi computers? Why would you put something that dangerous in the hands of MACHINES?!
Machines can be manipulated. Machines can be tricked. They can have their programs rewritten. Why in the devil would you put your trust in something that fallible?
(long pause)
We were almost all killed...and for WHAT? Why the hell is that even an option? Was it ALWAYS an option? Did I agree to come down here, live underground in this claustrophobic little office in this claustrophobic little base, and all the while I could have faced obliteration from our own COMPUTER without my knowledge or consent?
(pause)
What in the hell was Gendo Ikari thinking, putting that option in? The man is utterly insane…
