POV Peter's

We were in Mrs. Meyer's class. She was handing out our test grades back.

"Emily, 77. Good work. Jean 87— very good. Elizabeth, a quadrilateral is not a quadrant you do later. 10," Mrs. Meyer said, handing the test to Sissi.

"Jeremy, I deducted two points for the ketchup stain on your diagram. 98."

"Huh?" Jeremy asked.

"Peter, not too bad. Still need some work to do. 75." Mrs. Hertz's said handing over my test.

"Oh, man…" I trailed off.

"Ulrich, there's some good but not enough to make up for what's bad," Mrs. Meyer said, handing the test to Ulrich. "58."

Ulrich didn't look too happy.

"Herve, 93 excellent. Not as good as Jeremy, but excellent nevertheless." Mrs. Meyer said handing the test to Herve.

Mrs. Meyer handed over the test to Odd.

Later in the dorms

Uncle Jim had lined us all outside of our rooms.

"May I remind you that, in the evening, girls and boys are prohibited from straying from their respective floors," Uncle Jim explained, while passing by Jeremy and me.

"While any of you who might be thinking about trying to pull anything, remember that the floors are different from each other and that they are either upstairs from, or downstairs from the one, above. Girls are upstairs, and boys downstairs. Obviously going from upstairs to downstairs, and from downstairs to upstairs are strictly forbidden." Uncle Jim explained, Odd yawned.

Uncle Jim came in front of Odd's face.

"If I ever catch anyone going from downstairs to upstairs, or anyone going from upstairs to downstairs, he or she, is going to really regret it stairs. You have been warned. Dismissed!" Uncle Jim left.

Later

It was almost 12:00 in the morning. I was having trouble sleeping, so I grabbed a flashlight and started writing in my journal.

Dear Journal,

For some reason I'm having trouble sleeping. Things have been going well with Jeremy and the others. I feel like I'm back to normal, that I can help the others with my new found powers of electricity. I haven't had a new power for a couple of weeks now, but that's alright. My last new power was the electricity force field, and that takes up all of my energy. I'll only need to use it when absolutely necessary. I hope Jeremy can decode the diary's Franz Hopper, and my sister Erica Carter left behind. It would really help to understand how I got to this world, and maybe even why I lost my flashbacks. Well I'd better try to close my eyes and get some sleep.

~Peter

I closed my journal and safely tucked it under my pillow. I put the flashlight under the bed and tried closing my eyes. The next thing I knew, someone had opened my door. Someone started shaking me.

"Peter, we need to head to Jeremy's room. I think there's a problem," Ulrich said.

"Okay," I said groggily. We quietly walked over to Jeremy's room and walked in. Ulrich started shaking him.

"Jeremy, I think Xana's launched an attack," Ulrich said.

"Uh – the laptop." Jeremy pointed, barely awake. Ulrich went to get his laptop, Jeremy grabbed his glasses and put them on. Ulrich gave Jeremy the laptop.

"We'll know in a minute," Jeremy said. As he opened the laptop, it began scanning, but the scan couldn't find anything.

"Nope, there are no activated towers," Jeremy said to Ulrich.

"Then looks like we've got a real ghost on our hands then," Ulrich said.

"Ghost, what do you mean ghost?" I asked.

"Yeah, what Peter said," Jeremy said.

Ulrich was about to explain things, but we heard Uncle Jim screaming. We got up and left the room. We ran to open the doors, and I couldn't believe my eyes. Uncle Jim was floating, and it seemed like something was attacking him!

"Hey, get off of me!" Uncle Jim exclaimed.

Odd and Sissi had come out too. Sissi screamed. Uncle Jim fell.

"Uncle Jim!" I exclaimed as me, Ulrich, Jeremy, and Odd ran to him. Sissi ran away.

"You okay Jim?" Odd asked.

"Yeah – yeah, I'm alright," Uncle Jim stuttered.

We heard a strange noise, almost like a moaning sound.

"What's that noise?" Ulrich asked.

"I don't know, but it's getting closer," Odd replied.

"And freaking me out," I said.

Odd was grabbed by the ghost. He started to scream.

"Odd!" Ulrich exclaimed, grabbing his arm. He and Odd were pulled. Jeremy had gotten a fire hose. I tried to catch up to them and help Ulrich pull Odd off the ghost. Jeremy used the fire hose to reveal the ghost. It had let go of Odd.

"You saw right, the monster depixelized when I hit," Jeremy said.

"It's got to be one of Xana's," Odd said.

"So why didn't the super can pick it up then?" Ulrich asked.

"I wish I knew," Jeremy said, putting down the fire hose. "We'd better head to the factory, let's get the girls."

"Right," I said. We ran downstairs. Ulrich called Yumi.

"It's me. There's a big emergency meet us at the factory," Ulrich said.

Jeremy went to wake up Aelita. I and I went to wake up Patricia and Jade.

"Peter?" Patricia asked.

"Patricia, Jade, Xana's launched an attack. We need to go," I explained. We soon heard Jeremy screaming, and I ran out of the girl's room and into Aelita's.

"Jeremy!" Aelita exclaimed.

Ulrich and Odd ran in too. Ulrich flickered the lights on and off. We could see Xana's creature, trying to choke Jeremy. Ulrich grabbed a ruler and stabbed Xana's creature. Jeremy looked like he was about to choke, but, thanks to the stab, the creature vanished. Jeremy started coughing, and Ulrich held out his hand.

"Hey, this is no time to hang around," Ulrich said, picking Jeremy up. We made our way toward the park, and we were at the grate. Odd pulled the grate open and climbed down. Patricia, Jade, and I went after him. Aelita, Jeremy, and finally Ulrich came down after us. Ulrich closed the grate. He climbed down the stairs.

At the factory

The elevator's doors opened. Yumi was already waiting for us.

"What took you so long?" Yumi asked.

"Xana's attacking us, but the super scan didn't detect anything," Jeremy explained.

"Do you believe in ghosts?" Ulrich asked Yumi.

"No," Yumi replied.

"Wrong answer," Ulrich said.

Jeremy started typing, and something popped up on the monitor.

"Hey, that's weird," Jeremy said.

"What?" Jade asked.

"Xana's managed to corrupt the superscan. There's an activated tower, but it can't detect it," Jeremy replied.

"Right. So, what do we do now?" Ulrich asked.

"Yumi, Patricia, Aelita, and Peter, get to sector five as quickly as you can and try to fix the super scan. Odd, Ulrich, and Jade in the meantime you can check out the other sectors. With a little luck, you'll be able to spot the activated tower," Jeremy replied.

"Negative, the specter will strike back soon. I'm staying with you," Ulrich said.

"Same here, Jeremy," Jade said.

"Well, okay," Jeremy said.

We went down to the scanners.

"I'll launch the process," Jeremy informed. Yumi, Aelita, and I were by the scanners. We stepped inside as the scanners closed.

"Transfer Aelita. Transfer Yumi. Transfer Peter. Virtualization!" Jeremy exclaimed.

I was soon virtualized with the girls into the desert sector.

"Peter, I'm going to have Patricia and Odd sent together, just in case," Jeremy informed.

"Okay, got it," I said.

Odd and Patricia were virtualized and made a safe landing.

"Well, it's nice to see you without your pajamas Odd," Yumi said.

"Nice of you to notice. Hey, Jeremy, I'm going to need a –" Odd said but was interrupted by an Overboard materializing. Odd and Patricia hopped onto the Overboard.

"Later!" Odd said flying away.

"Keep Patricia safe!" I exclaimed.

"He will!" Patricia exclaimed back.

Aelita, Yumi, and I toward the edge of the platform.

"Can you bring up the transporter Jeremy?" Yumi asked.

"It's on the way," Jeremy replied.

The transporter came and swept us up. It brought us to sector five, and we soon were released from the transported. The room spun, and then stopped, revealing the entrance to the hallway.

"The countdown has started. Remember, you only have three minutes to find the key," Jeremy informed. We ran into the entrance as the walls started opening up. We made it to the end of the hallway, and there was a big open space. We tried to see where the key would be, and Aelita spotted it.

"I see the key," Aelita said.

"Looks too easy to me," I said.

We decided to take our chance, and we ran to the key. We stopped.

"You're right, Peter. This is too good to be true," Yumi said. The floor started to change and Yumi almost fell.

"Look out!" Aelita exclaimed, grabbing Yumi and pulling her back up. Yumi and I jumped onto the moving floors. Aelita was behind us and barely managed to make it.

"Yumi, Peter," Aelita said. Yumi managed to catch Aelita before I could and pulled her up. We were now in a big empty room, with just the one platform to stand on.

"Jeremy, how much time do we have left? Jeremy? Jeremy?!" Aelita exclaimed.

"Something tells me Jeremy, Ulrich, and Jade are with our not so friendly ghost," I said. We looked down and saw three Creepers coming toward us.

"This is getting creepy, great that's all we needed," Yumi said, readying her fans. I readied my electricity shards. "Hiya!" Yumi threw her fan at one Creeper. The laser hit the fan back to Yumi. I threw my shards but missed the Creeper.

"I must be jinxed," Yumi said.

"Same here. I can't believe I missed," I said.

"Wait, I have an idea," Aelita said. She used her powers of creation to build another platform for us to jump onto. Yumi made the okay sign with her fingers.

"Alright, I get it," Yumi said. We jumped onto the platform, passing the Creeper. Yumi used her telekinesis to move the platform toward the key. I turned on my electricity force field and tried to cover us. Thankfully, it was big enough to block the continued fire from the Creepers. Yumi pressed the key, but, unfortunately, the forcefield ended.

"Bigger the force field, the more energy needed, I guess," I said. The key lite up but nothing happened.

"Shouldn't something be happening here?" Yumi asked. There were four Creepers in total who continued to fire at us. We turned around, but the passage wasn't opened.

"No!" Yumi exclaimed, punching the key.

"Concentrate! There's still time to get out of here," Aelita said. Yumi nodded and began to use her telekinesis again. The Creepers were still firing at us, and Yumi was blocking the lasers with her fans. Her eyes were closed. Yumi was, unfortunately, pushed off and landed on a Creeper. She managed to jump back onto the platform using two Creeper's heads. She blocked the lasers with her telekinesis as she used it to go faster. We got off the platform and started running back to the hallway. The walls started running. Aelita and I were ahead of Yumi. Aelita and I had already made it out. I could see Yumi.

"Yumi, come on you can make it," Aelita urged.

Unfortunately, the walls closed on Yumi.

"No!" I exclaimed.

Yumi was devirtualized.

"Yumi! Jeremy, we didn't get the key. Peter and I are alone, he can't recharge his powers," Aelita said.

"Jeremy…" Aelita trailed off.

"Einstein, we could sure use your help…" I trailed off. Two Scyphozoa's came, Aelita and I were pinned.

"Jeremy!" Aelita cried.

"Someone, anyone, we need help!" I exclaimed.

"Jeremy!" Aelita continued to cry out.

"No, it's Odd, and Patricia's with me," Odd said.

"Odd, type in the code Scipio, quick," Aelita said.

"Um – I'd love to, but how?" Odd asked.

"Third window on the second screen," Aelita replied. The Scyphozoa's were closer to us now.

"Please, hurry," I said.

"Okay, I got it. There," Odd said. We could see the transporter and the Scyphozoa's were pushed back. The transporter swooped us in.

"Aelita, Peter. Patricia and I had spotted the activated tower in the northwest part of the ice sector," Odd informed.

"Okay, we'll go, but where's Jeremy, Ulrich, and Jade?" Aelita asked.

"No idea. Patricia and I will go look for them," Odd said.

"Please keep Patricia safe," I said.

The transporter touched down. Aelita and I were now in the ice sector. We were in front of the tower, but with two Tarantula's. Aelita was frustrated, and we started running for the tower. We dodged the lasers and slid on the icy ground, dodging the Tarantula's and making one of them destroying the other. We slid right into the tower. Aelita and I ran inside and touched the first platform. We flew up to the second platform and touched down on the second platform. We pressed our hands onto the screen and two panels opened up.

New Power: Longer force field time

"Tower deactivated," Aelita said, the files going down.

Back at the lab

We were all by Jeremy.

"Since we didn't fix the super scan in sector five, we have no choice. We've got to launch a return in time." Jeremy typed in a few buttons and pressed the enter key.

"Return to the past now!" Jeremy exclaimed. A big white bubble engulfed us all.

The same night

I was back in my room before the attack. I started to write in my journal again.

Dear Journal,

Well, another day saved and we managed to save it from a ghost! Things are still going well with Jeremy and the others. I feel like I'm back to normal, that I can help the others with my new found powers of electricity. I recently got a new power, which was a longer time with my electricity force field.

Somehow, for some reason, I couldn't help but wonder if the ghost Sissi summoned was really there in the boiler room. I tried shaking the thoughts away.

Nah… just some silly supernatural stuff… I thought.

And done! I hope everyone liked this chapter, more to come! Don't forget to review!
