Sesshomaru's Demon

"Not talking about it isn't going to make things go away!" Inuyasha called following Kagome into his apartment.

"Go away you stupid jerk!" She yelled back slamming the bedroom door in his face.
"I'm serious Kagome! I wont be able to hold my demon back much longer!" Inuyasha growled, he was really getting pissed off with how difficult she was being ever since they had dropped off Rin and Sesshomaru.

FLASHBACK

"Kagome…." Inuyasha said glancing at her as he pulled out of Sesshomaru's driveway and back onto the main road.

"Hmm?" Kagome responded giving him her full attention.
"That bastard didn't do anything to you did he?" He asked.

"Of course not." She said.

A moment of silence.

"How do you think Rin and Sesshomaru talk in going?" She asked.
"Can't really say, but hopefully well though." Inuyasha chuckled.

He was nervous. He had something important to say and he didn't think that Kagome would be too pleased with him.

"Kagome….when I was on my to ask your sister for help finding you I-…." He stopped a moment when he noticed the way that she was glaring at him.

"I had all of your belongings moved to my home." He finished.

Kagome was silent, but Inuyasha could smell her anger and see the way her fists clenched in her lap.

"I know that it was a really impulsive thing to do; but Naraku's little stunt put my demon on high alert." He continued quickly, "my urge to mate you now and prevent this from ever happening again are almost to the surface!"

Kagome still didn't speak.

END FLASHBACK

Now she's locked herself in my bedroom. He thought with a sigh. At least I know that Sesshomaru isn't fairing any better. He thought with a smirk.

Sesshomaru walked down the hall; he had taken a short break from his work to get something to eat and was on his way to finish, when he saw the light still on in Rin's office. It was almost eleven thirty and he'd expected her gone to bed already. He was brought out of his musings when a maid walked past him and into the room carrying a tray of food.

"What is all this?" Sesshomaru asked entering as well.

Rin was hanging sketches of different designs on the wall length bulletin board. Rin then thanked the maid and asked the older woman if she would wear anything in the pictures.

"I'm finishing the last of my homework." Rin said turning to look at him. "I have to start putting together my end of the year project."

"Why?" Sesshomaru asked.

"I don't like to put things off, and my teacher wishes to see the designs that will start our final project notebooks." She explained, "I have to have ten designs by the day after tomorrow."

The maid had picked out four designs deciding on two being in the formal wear category and two in the casual wear category. Rin once again thanked the woman for her help, and the other woman left to finish her work.

"Do not stay up too late." He told her watching as she placed the chosen designs in a photo album to keep them from getting ruined.

"Well, after I put this in my bag and eat I'll be done." She told him.

Sesshomaru nodded in approval at her words and bid her good night before returning to his own office.

Rin had done precisely as she'd said she would. It was late and she was tired after such a long and exciting day. At least that was her reasoning behind why she was being so civil towards Sesshomaru all of a sudden. She was done Naraku was dead, she no longer needed to think about him and she never would.

There was nothing left for her to worry about…

At least I don't think there is…..She thought before sleep claimed her.

Inuyasha jolted up from his desk shocked to see Kagome entering his office. He had actually been house hunting, because he didn't think that his three bedroom apartment was any place to start a family.

"Kagome?" He said watching warily as she scanned his bookshelves with interest.

"I've calmed down now, and I can understand why you were so impulsive." She said not turning to face him.

"I'm sorry that you were upset by the way I did things." He said something telling him that h just needed to apologize to her.

"Look, just promise me that you'll discuss it with me before making any more decisions that will actually affect me." She said her eyes finally meeting his.

"I can do that…. I can start now actually." He said motioning her over to look at his computer.
