A/N: Okay, so I deliberated long and hard on how exactly to end this...and just couldn't come up with anything better than where I left it. I honestly did not expect Stoker and Cassie to not only take over the fic, but to be as popular as they are and with everything I have planned for them, it makes sense that they should have their own story.
So with this little supposed-to-be-four-chapter story pretty much told, it's time to move on. I'll leave you with a snippet of what's to come for Cassie and Stoker in their own story "The Stars Between Us".
Thank you all for sticking with me as long as you did. You sure didn't have to. I know I'm one of those writers that drives people crazy and I am truly sorry for that. :) You've all been amazing in your support for this feel-good trip through 80's nostalgia with a little holiday fix mixed in. Much love to you all and the happiest of holidays!

"Why are you even making an effort?"
Casie glared at the other woman, suddenly hating her with a deep ferocity. "Because out there is a man who loves me and I'm not going to give up on getting to him."
Harley snorted, averting her gaze and staring out into the darkness of the cellar. "You'll learn to give up."
"No," Cassie insisted, gritting her teeth. "I won't."
"You will. Trust me."
"I'm not giving up on getting back to Stoker. If I have to fight until I die, I'll do it."
Again Harley laughed. She laid her arms over her up-drawn knees and turned a bored look on Cassie that grated on her nerves. "Oh, you wont die. He won't allow that. He'll feed you only as much as he has to, give you fluids only as much as he has to, and medically treat you only as long as he has to to keep you alive."
She'd had enough. The other woman's cynicism was draining and infuriating. "Would you just shut up!? I haven't done a damn thing right in my life. This I am going to do right so quit being such a cranky bitch! Unless you have some form of idea to help me, then keep your useless comments to yourself!"
