Sorry about the long chapter but I hope you enjoy it!

Kaori opened her eyes and she looked up at the ceiling. The sound of birds chirping caused her to turn her head to the window. She could see some light peeking through the curtain. She felt her hand being held down, she looked down to see Sasuke sitting on a stool and resting his head next to her leg.

'Why is he sleeping there?' She tried to lift her hand but her body denied her permission as it ached all over. She looked down at Sasuke's sleeping face, Kaori couldn't help but smile. "I guess this is fine for now...," Kaori entwined her fingers with Sasuke's.

Later that morning, Sasuke sat next to Kaori as she lay in her hospital bed. "Kaori, you need to try to walk today," The girl whined. "But it hurts to move," Sasuke sighed and stood up and gently placed his forehead on hers. "You the most stubborn person I've ever met," Kaori blushed and smiled. Sasuke gently lifted her upper body and cradled her against his chest. Her face turned completely red, Sasuke raised an eyebrow and looked down at her. "What is it?"

Kaori let out an awkward laugh. "It's nothi-,"

She heard it. Kaori leaned harder against his chest. She heard again, his heart, his heart was beating, not as fast as hers but it was beating. Soon she found herself intimating listening to his heart beat.

"Kaori? Kaori!"

She snapped her head up. "Y-yes?"

"Did you hear me, I'm about to move your legs," Kaori nodded and Sasuke slowly pulled her legs over the edge of the bed. He gently wrapped his arms around her. Kaori winced in pain as Sasuke gently lifted her up onto her feet. "Does it hurt?"

"N-not anymore," Sasuke sighed. "Don't lie to me idiot, I can tell when your in pain,"

"Sorry...I just didn't want to cause you so much trouble," Kaori said softly. "You shouldn't be taking care of me...You warned me to go back and I didn't listen, Sor-,"

"Stop apologizing," He said sternly and stared into her blue eyes. She wanted to ask him so many questions, but she knew he would just avoid them. "Okay, let's go for a walk,"

"C-can we walk really slowly,"

"How uncool would that look!"

"B-but it's going to hurt," She whined. "And I'm leaving this dreadful room soon,"

"If you weren't so careless you wouldn't be in here so much," Sasuke said rolling his eyes. Kaori stuck out her tongue at the boy and slowly walked with him, ignoring the pain in her back.

Sasuke left the hospital after Sakura came to get him.

'You are a strange girl, Kaori'

'..!...Kiryu? So your speaking to me today? I thought you were mad at me?'

'I was...Your the most careless girl I've ever met, if you die I die along with you,'

'Are you afraid of death Kiryu?' She teased.

'...No...I've died many times, it's the rebirth I hate, I end up with one fool after another'

'I won't die Kiryu...We'll stay together until I die of old age,'

'Great...That's reassuraing, halfwit child,' Kaori smiled and laughed.

Latter that night, Kaori sat on the roof of her house, staring up into the starry night sky. The stars were beautiful on the clear night. "Kaori," She looked down at the ground, Sasuke stood below her home. He stared up at her and stared back down at him. "Hi Sasuke, are you heading home?"

"Yeah," He said quietly. She smiled at him. He was in a bad mood again. "Do you want to sit up here with me? It's really relaxing, it'll help you think...I promise I won't get frisky," Sasuke felt himself smile and he jumped onto the roof next to her.

"Are you feeling better?" He asked.

"Yeah, my back isn't hurting anymore, but I'm on bed rest rest for a week," She groaned, Sasuke simply stared up at the sky without a word.

"Sasuke?"

"Yeah?"

"What's wrong? I set you up for a ran about me being on bed rest and you didn't say anything,"

"...What was I supposed to say," Kaori put her hands on her hips. "Something like, 'Geez Kaori, it's just bed rest, if you hate it so much I'll come and spend the week with you in bed' something lie that," Kaori said with her best Sasuke impression.

Sasuke didn't reply as he just stared at her.

"Sasuke? What's going on with you?" Kaori asked scooting closer to him. "Nothing wrong,"

"...Sasuke, you say that but ever since the chunin exams, you've been acting strange and what's more yo haven't told me about that mark on-"

"It's nothing, don't worry about it," He said harshly, cutting her off. Kaori bit her lip and lowered her head.

"Why?"

He just continued to look at her. "Why won't you talk to me anymore?" Sasuke turned his head away.

"Tch! Don't get so angry over something like that,"

"I'm not angry!" She snapped. "I'm just confused, You used to tell me everything...And you suddenly shut me out, without even giving me a reason,"

"I don't need a reason, just mind your own business,"

"Sasuke...What's with you!?" Kaori shouted. He turned his head around and glared at her. "Nothing wrong with me! Kaori, just but out of my life already!"

"I already know enough about you! You've told me about your family and even your brot-"

"Shut up!" He shouted. Kaori shot up, keeping her head down. "...You're the worse...I hate you...," Sasuke growled and stood up, her grabbed her wrist and pulled her close.

"What did you sa-"

Sasuke froze and stared into her eyes, his eyes widen at the girl. She was crying. Kaori was crying. Never had he seen her cry. She was to tough a girl to cry in front of him.

"Kaori...,"

She sobbed. "I can't take this anymore! If you don't want me in your life, then I won't ever ask again Sasuke...Ever," She cried. Kaori stepped pack and painfully snatched off her dragon necklace and tossed it onto the ground in front of her house. Without another word Sasuke watched her jump off the roof and run into her home. Slamming the door be hide her.

Sasuke got off the roof and slowly crouched down, picking up the necklace. Inside her home all he could hear was the girl wailing, Sasuke gripped the necklace in his fist and walked off.

A few days had passed, this was the third day of continuous rain. The rain poured down hard, it was a rainy day. Kaori walked the village aimlessly. Her wet hair sticking to her face. She had to go to the store for something but she couldn't remember for what. 'Sasuke always did all of my shopping,' Kaori thought to herself. She stopped and watch villagers walk past her. 'Why am I out here?'

Kaori sneezed and groaned. "I'd better get home,"

Sasuke watched the rain fall from his window. He held a towel over his head and dried himself. He turned to the necklace on his night stand, narrowing his eyes.

The next morning, Kaori slowly walked out of her home in a pink sweater and leggings and weakly closed her front door. She sneezed and groaned. "I need to go and get medicine,"

After retrieve some medicine, Kaori leaned against a railing and cradled the bag against her breast. The sound of children screaming and playing on the playground echoed through her mind. Kaori turned to a girl stood in the middle of the park crying and covering her face.

'This look familiar' She thought to herself.

The young girl whined and hurried into the bushes and hid be hide a tree. She winced in pain as she looked down at her legs, blood trailed from her cuts and she fell to her knees.

Kaori sniffed and wiped the sweat from her face. "I'm lost...Mommy," Slowly the girl began to sob and sniff. She was startled by the sound of the bushes rustling. Kaori gasped and covered her head.

'They found me!' A single boy walked out of the bushes and stepped over to pick up a kunai that was sticking from a tree. "Ah!" Kaori squeaked. The boy turned to her and stared at the wounded her. He had dark eyes and raven colored hair. Kaori removed her hands and looked up at him. He turned to leave but she gasped and hurried after him. "Ah!" She called out again and he stopped to turn to her, she froze and whimpered. "Why are you following me?"

She squeezed her torn pink dress and stared at the ground. "Um...," He frowned and sighed. The boy reached into his satchel and slowly walked over to the girl. She saw him lifted his hand and she flinched, shutting her eyes. She felt a gentle touch on her cheek, Kaori opened one eye and peeked at the boy as he put a bandage on her cheek.

"What happened to you anyway?"

"Uhm...," She lowered her head. "I got lost...and I got picked on," She muttered the last part hoping he wouldn't hear it. A loud rumble was heard and she blushed.

"...Are you hungry?," He asked. She simply nodded. He opened his satchel and pulled out a small wrapped sandwich, Kaori's eyes lit up as it was best thing she's ever seen. Sasuke handed the food over and she smiled. "Thank you!" She squeaked. A small smile appeared around on face. Kaori opened the wrapper with her tiny fingers and bit down into sandwich.

She swallowed down the food in a few minutes. Sasuke smiled at her and the bushes rustled, the two turned to three boys pushing their way into the forest.

Kaori gasped. The boys smiled wickedly at her.

"There she is!" Kaori turned and hid be hide Sasuke's back. He narrowed his eyes at boys.

"Hey, get out of here Sasuke," The tall boy said sternly. 'Sasuke?'

Sasuke just glared at them as they began to walk towards them. "Kaori!"

Kaori poked her head from be hide Sasuke. "Ma-Mama!"

A woman with long hair, panicked rushed through the bushes and sighed of relief.

"Kaori-" As she looked the girl up and down. "What happened to you?" The woman glared down at three boys in front of her.

"Who is responsible!" She shouted. The color from their faces drained and the boys ran off in a hurry. "She's scary!"

Kaori ran into her mothers arm and smiled. "Thank goodness your safe!" She looked up at the boy and smiled. "Thank you,"

Her mother picked the the young girl and walked away, Kaori peeked over her mothers shoulder, but the boy was gone. Kaori giggled to herself. 'Sasuke,'

A small smile appeared on the girls face and single tear ran down her cheek. "Hey it's Kaori!" She slowly turned to the voice, below her Naruto and Sakura looked up at her.

"Naruto...," Kaori felt her body leaned over the railing and everything went black.

Naruto held the girl in his arms and screamed loudly. "Sa-Sakura what do we do?!"

"Shut up Naruto!" She shouted, she leaned down and put her hand on the girls forehead.

"She's got a fever, we need to get her some help," Naruto nodded and they hurried away.

Sasuke panted as he crouched down and a loud chirping sound began to echo in the forest.

Sasuke stared at the several holes in a large boulder, all of them different sizes. 'Damn...I can't concentrate!' Sasuke rushed at the rock with a loud roar.

Kaori stared at Naruto from her bed as he ranted. "Where is that jerk, he should have been here by now," Naruto shouted. Sakura sighed and slapped the area between his shoulders. "Be quiet, your in a hospital,"

Naruto screeched and arched his back.

"It's fine Naruto," Kaori said weakly. "It's just a cold," Sakura looked down at her. "Sasuke's been acting strange...Hasn't he?"

Kaori was quiet at first. "Yeah,"

The door slid open and Sakamoto ran inside. "Kaaaaori!" She whined dramatically and flopped onto the girls bed and brought her in her arms for a tight embrace. "Sa-Sakamoto, that hurts," Kaori managed to say through the huge.

Sakamoto stood up and cupped her face. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah, it's just a cold,"

"Do you want me to take you home?"

"N-no Sakamoto, I'm fine," She stammered. "I can go home on my own,"

"Hm, Alright," She sighed. "Kaori, I can take you home," Naruto smiled, pointing at himself.

"Naruto, I couldn't ask you to do that, it's late," Kaori stated looking out the window. He chuckled. "It's fine, its on my way home ya know,"

"Thanks Naruto,"

Naruto glanced at the girl in the corner of his eye. Kaori rested her head on Naruto's shoulder as he carried her towards her home. Kaori slept quietly on the boys back, her medicine made her weak and drowsy.

"Naruto..." Kaori whispered.

"Yeah?"

"Have you seen Sasuke?"

"...Come to think of it, he's been disappearing a lot lately Sakura said," NAruto felt her grip on his shoulder tighten. 'So he's been acting strange with his team too...Sasuke...'

Sasuke's eyes narrowed as Naruto carried the girl home.

"That jerk! Where is he anyway?"

"It's okay Naruto...Thank you,"

Naruto opened the front door and stepped inside. Kaori slowly got off his back and walked into her living room.

"Are you hungry Naruto?"

"Uh, No I've got ramen at home," Kaori laughed and sat on her couch. "That really is all you eat, I owe you one, so let me treat you to some ramen tomorrow," The boys eyes lit up and he smiled. "Yeah! That's awesome!"

Kaori walked into her kitchen and turned on the light, her eyes caught the site of a plastic bag on the table. She slowly walked over to the table and opened the bag. Her eyes teared up as she found a pack of uncooked chicken and vegetables.

She couldn't hole her tears back as she softly sobbed. 'Idiot,'

'What's happened to you?'

"Kiryu?"

'Are you going to sit there and whine over a boy?'

'You don't understand,'

'...The Kaori I know wouldn't be crying like a insolent child,'

'What do you know about me?!'

'I know enough, and now I know your weakness,'

'I don't have a weakness! Sasuke is just someone important to me,'

'Just admit it, Sasuke is your weakness and without him, you can't carry on your with your miserable life,'

Kaori grew quiet and the edge of her lips twitched and she burst out in laughter.

'What's so funny?'

Kaori held her stomach and leaned forward.

'For someone who's purposed to be evil...your actually trying to comfort me,'

He grew quiet and Kaori took a deep breathe.

Sasuke stepped out of his bathroom with a towel over his head and glanced out of the window. It was quiet, no one sat outside of his window.

He stared at the floor in silence.

"Sasuke!"

His bedroom door flew off it's hinges and smashed into the wall on the other side of the room. He sated at the doorway in shock. Kaori stood in his doorway with her fist up. "I've had enough of you!"

Her long pink hair was now red and her blues eyes glowed their golden color.

"Kaori! What do you think your doing?!" He shouted throwing his towel to the ground. Without another word she charged at him and grabbed his shirt. "You really are the worst!"

In a loud crash Kaori sent him flying across the bedroom and into the wall. Sasuke groaned and leapt out of the way as she came flying towards him.

'Why is so fast all of a sudden?'

Sasuke pulled a kunai from under pillow, throwing them Kaori growled as her clothes stuck her to the wall. Kaori pulled herself off the wall and Sasuke rushed out into the hallway. Following him close be hide Kaori lunged at him and slammed into the boys chest and they rolled down the stairs.

Sasuke pushed himself up and glared at her form as her body laid on the floor in front of him un-moving. He stopped as he noticed her hair began to change color from red to pink.

'What is that?'

Kaori slowly sat up and turned to him, He sat up and they glared at each other, Kaori began to stand up but winced in pain and fell back down onto her knees. She turned to her ankle as it began to throb in pain.

Sasuke's eyes soften and he sighed, standing up he crouched down in front of her. He slowly leaned over and examined her ankle. "Let me see...,"

Kaori narrowed her eyes and brought her hand up, she slapped him and he turned his head from the force. Sasuke slowly turned his head back towards her and she slapped him again. "Don't touch me!"

Kaori felt her eyes begin to fill with tears, Sasuke turned back to her, both his cheeks red and stinging in pain.

Sasuke continue to look down at the girl, Kaori felt his hands wrap around her and pulled her in a gentle embrace.

"Le-let go! Let go Sasuke!" She began to slammed her fist into his shoulders and chest.

"I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!" She continued to shout and whine into his chest. The pink haired girl sobbed as he held her close.

Sasuke slowly finished wrapping her ankle. Kaori sat quietly with her head lowered, her face stained with tears and her eyes and nose red.

"Don't walk on it for a while," Sasuke instructed as he stood up.

"I don't understand you at all...," Kaori whispered. He stopped in his steps. "You tell me to stay away from you and then you go and do things like this," Sasuke turned his head and looked at her in the corner of his eye. "You've been acting strange ever since those stupid exams and now...you won't even talk to me," Her voice began to crack as she continued. "I just want everything to go back to they way they used to be, when we do things together, the way you smiled at me, when we used to eat together and train together...Back when I wasn't alone, I've gotten so close to you, I can't stand being apart from you even for a second, you've made me weak Sasuke and I hate you for that!" She shouted as tears fell onto her hands and thighs. "Kaori, I refuse to take you down my path, it's something I should walk alone, if something were to happen to you, I would never forgive myself...I don't want to see another person die in front of me...because I wasn't strong enough...," Sasuke said as he turned towards her. Kaori stood up from the couch and stumbled over from the pain and he reached out for her, Sasuke dropped to his knees and held her tightly. "Sasuke, you don't have to be strong on your on," Kaori sat up and looked into his dark eyes.

"We can be strong together, as long as your with me, I'm strong, but without I'm weak, I admit that, so that's why I need you Sasuke,"

Kaori pressed her lips hard against his. Kaori felt her heart flutter as Sasuke kissed her back. She pushed him onto his back and he wrapped his arm around her waist. Kaori felt him grab the waist of her shorts and pulled them down. In an instant Sasuke rolled himself on top of her.

Sasuke pushed his lower half against hers and his hand trailed up her white sweater and she moaned as his finger danced around her nipple. Kaori held back a moan as his lips moved her from hers to her neck.

Sasuke sucked on the side of her neck and she flinched. His hand playing with her breast moved down into her panties. Her moan slipped passed her lips. "Sasuke...," He pushed his middle finger past her fold. Kaori bit her lip, Sasuke sat up and looked into her face. Kaori felt him slip a second finger into her warmth and he quicken his pace. He lowered his head and began trailing kissed from her breast to her thigh. He took his fingers from her warmth. Kaori looked down to him stripping the rest of his clothes. He lowered himself back down and she felt him push through her folds. "Sasuke!"

He began a slow and gentle pace, his lips pushed down against her's.

"Kaori...,"

"Sasuke," Kaori cupped his cheek and he quicken his pace. He felt her walls tighten as he rubbed the sensitive spot in her warmth. "Sasuke! Ah...Ah, Sasuke,"

"Kaori...I love you," Her heart fluttered and her eye widen. 'He said it,'

Kaori wrapped her arms around his neck and he continued his pace. "Sasuke...I'm...Coming!" Kaori shouted into his neck. Sasuke held onto his waist and began to pant. "Kaori," He moaned her name as her wall loosened and she relaxed her hold on him. Sasuke slowly pulled out and quickly slammed back inside her warmth, she arched her back and moaned loudly. "Sasuke!"

She felt him pull out once more. "Sasuke don't do it like-,"

Her slide back inside her and she arched her back. "Sasuke, please...don't do it like that! Please,"

Kaori watched him smirk and began a steady pace, she bit her lip and reached up for him. "Sasuke, I love you!"

Sasuke lowered himself and kissed her gently. Sasuke felt his bliss as the couples tongues rubbed together in a heated kiss. Sasuke shuddered as he reached his climax and moaned into the kiss. "Kaori, I love you,"

"I love you too Sasuke,"
