Chapter 26: Higher than the Governors

It had been a month since Valentines. Erza had yet to get over from not get a Valentine. She figured the boys thought she was scary.

Though the other girls told her it was announcing when not in calls.

Because Erza was in that weird sort of mindset she refused to try to pry the diary away from Harry.

Although their only real victory was when Haruna barrowed it, however Harry insisted on seeing what happened.

Mostly because he honestly wanted to see what happened.

"My name is Mandy, Harry told me about you and I was hoping to critic my artwork." Wrote Haruna.

"Sure… I'd like that." Responded the dairy.

Haruna drew two guys making out.

"What…" responded the diary.

Harry's eyes widened, he knew she was going to mess with it, but that not that much.

"How did you like it?" asked Haruna.

"Why did you draw that." Responded the Diary.

"What I can draw that?" asked Haruna.

"Never mind.." responded the dairy.

"Okay here's the next one." Wrote Haruna.

She drew two more guys making out, in this one it was clear that they were naked.

"Stop drawing men kissing in me… it's just weird…" said the diary.

Haruna laughed, Harry was just befuddled.

Soon enough it was time for the Second years to choose their elective classes for 3rd year.

"I'm going to take Care of Magical Creatures." Said Shampoo, "What's a good second choice."

"I'm planning to take Divination." Said Ino.

"I heard the teacher is a fraud though." Said Momo.

"I know, I still want to take it." Said Ino blushing a little.

"Everyone's wanting me to take Muggle Studies…" sighed Haruna, "Mom, Dad, the teacher."

"Wait… what?" asked Ino.

"The teacher wants me opt help her with updating the curriculum." said Haruna, "She even sent a letter to my parents."

"What are you going to Robin?" asked Erza, "Besides Ancient Runes

"Arithmancy." Answered Robin.

"The tow hardest classes." Said Ino.

"I shouldn't be surprised." Laughed Erza.

"I'm going care of Magical Creatures and Arithmancy." Said Momo

Mami and Erza looked at their sheets. As they were the only Gryffindors they knew they had to have at least one of the same classes as Harry.

"We should choose one now choose the one we want to do now." Said Erza, "Then find out with two Harry is taking and cover it."

"Hmmm… I'm torn between Care of Magical Creatures and Accent Runes." Sighed Mami.

"Really?" asked Robin.

"I'd go with Accident Runes." Said Haruna, "Harry's probably going to with the easy classes."

Mami nodded.

"I'm going to take Arithmancy." Said Erza.

"What seriously?" asked Mami.

"I think it might be interesting." Said Erza.

After choose the rest of the classes, with the exception of Erza and Mami. Before turning in their sheets they asked Harry what he was going to take next year.

"Oh I'm going to take Care of Magical Creatures and Divination." Said Harry, "It was Ron's idea."

"What's Hermoine doing?" asked Erza.

"All five classes." Answered Harry.

Both Erza and Mami were surprised…

But not too surprised, they should have expected that.

And so shortly before the deadline they decided to pick who got which, Erza decided to take the bullet and go with Divination while Mami got to go to Care of Magical Creatures (even though Slytherin was paired up with that class meaning it could have easily Shampoo's duty).

Also though it did weird Pro. McGonagall that Erza choose both (students usually chose one over the other).

A couple days later Erza finally got over the Valentines thing and confronted Harry.

"Harry! You have to give us the diary now!" said Erza.

"What do you even plan on doing to it?" asked Harry.

"I don't know… but Momo's been after it for a long time." Said Erza, "So you have to give it us."

She then unleashed her patented glare.

"Okay… I'll give you the book…" said Harry.

Harry led her to the 2nd year boy's dorm room to find his trunk had been opened and rummaged through.

Harry began to freak out.

"The Dairy's gone!" he said.

"What!" said Erza.

He looked at her, "I didn't take." She responded.

Harry sighed, knowing she wouldn't' steal from him.

"Who would steal it?" asked Erza.

"I don't know…" said Harry.

"I have a bad feeling about it." Said Erza.

"Wait…" said Harry.

"What is it?" asked Erza.

"Then the only person who could steal it is in Gryffindor!" said Harry.

Erza's eyes winded.

Soon enough it was the day of the Hufflepuff VS. Gryffindor Quidditch Game.

"So nervous?" asked Mami to Harry as they walked the hallway with Ron and Erza.

"Of course not." Said Harry, "I'm used to it by now."

That was when Harry flinched.

"What's wrong?" asked Erza.

"The voice it's back." Said Harry.

"Voice… what's voice?" asked Mami.

Harry sighed, realizing he hadn't told them.

He explained that he had being a voice that no one else could hear.

"Why didn't you tell us that you've been hearing voices?" asked Erza.

"Have you told the teachers yet?" asked Mami.

"Not yet." Sighed Harry.

Before the game the group that studied the Monster.

"I found something." Said Titus.

"What?" asked Hermoine.

"It's a book that tells the story of someone who look at a Basilisk in a mirror." Said Titus, "They were petrified."

"Okay… there was water with Mrs. Norris right?" asked Hermoine.

"Colin had his camera if memories servers." Said Robin.

"That doesn't explain Justin." Said Titus.

"Wait… Nicolas." Said Padma, "He's already deed so it petrified while Justin saw him through Nicolas."

"I'm going to find and go tell Pro. Dumbledore." Said Hermoine.

"As a Prefect I'll go with you." Said Penelope.

The two of them left… however after minute, Luna who was silent thorough this stopped reading her book.

"Luna is there something wrong?" asked Robin.

"Something happened to them." Said Luna.

"How would you know?" asked Padma.

They went to the entrance of the library and found the two of them… petrified. Penelope was holding a small mirror.

"This is bad…" said Robin.

"We have to Madame Pince." Said Padma.

Sometime later on the Quidditch Pitch. The teams ware getting ready.

"I can't believe how long Robin and Hermoine are taking." Said Haruna.

"Must have gotten caught up in their studying." Said Ron bushing it off.

That was when Pro. McGonagall showed up with a Megaphone.

"I regret to inform you that this game has been canceled." Called out Pro. McGonagall.

Everyone was shocked, that was when Robin showed up.

"There's something I need to show you." Said Robin.

They all realized something bad happened.

They were taken to the medical wing and Saw Hermoine was petrified.

"That mirror saved her life." Said Robin.

"What?" asked Harry.

"This confirms our theory, it is a basilisk." Sighed Robin.

Harry just stared in shock.

"So it is true, there has been another attack." Said a voice.

They turned to see one of the Hogwarts board of Governors.

"I need to take Mr. Potter with me." Said the Governor.

"Why?" asked Harry.

"There's an important meeting and I believe it will be best if you sit in with us." Said the Governor, "You are the true heir to Gryffindor and Ravenclaw… as well as won Slytherin and I and a few other Governors need your help."

Harry nodded, "All right." He said.

"I will return Mr. Potter to our as soon at the meeting is over." Said the Governor.

"I trust that you will." Said Pro. McGonagall.

Harry left with the Governor, as they traveled in the Hallway... the governor spoke to Harry.

"You were raided by Muggles, correct?" asked the governor.

"Yeah, and?" asked Harry.

"You're not close to them, are you?" asked the governor.

"Not really, why?" asked Harry.

"That's good…" said the guvnor, "It will prevent Lucius to do what he doing to us."

Harry wondered what he had meant.

They got to a fireplace.

"Have you used Floo yet?" asked the Governor.

"No I haven't." said Harry.

The guvnor sighed this was going to be a bit of a pain then.

Meanwhile in the Gryffindor Common room Pro. McGonagall was making announcements. Which included that everyone would be escorted to classes as well as had to use the bathroom with a teacher. Not only that but Quidditch would be put on hiatus and the movie contest while still going on was restricted with filming.

The common was quiet.

"I can't belie Hermoine was targeted." Said Lavender.

"I know…" said Parvati, "On the bright side this will finally make Ernie shut up."

Mami noticed Ginny was paled and trembling.

"Ginny are you okay?" asked Mami.

"I'm fine…" said Ginny.

"Okay…" said Mami.

She was about to leave, "Please don't leave…" said Ginny.

Mami looked at Ginny who looked terrified.

Elsewhere Harry came out of the Floo coughing, the governor watched him.

"Good you made it." Said the Governor.

"That was unpleasant." Said Harry.

"I would have expected." Said Governor.

They went into the meeting room.

The governor took his seat, while Harry stood before them.

"Now…" muttered Lucius, "We have taken a vote and we have decided to suspend Dumbledore."

"What?" asked Harry.

"You saw that there were two attacks." Said Lucius.

"I know that but removing Dumbledore would be a bad idea." Said Harry.

"Bringing you here was just a formality." Said Lucius, "You're nothing but a 12 year old."

"But Harry here is the heir of most of Hogwarts." Said the governor that escorted Harry.

"Besides most of us voted that we should bring him here to see if he would upturn the vote." Said the governor that escorted Harry there.

"We have to see if he will agree if with us or not." Said the younger Governor.

Lucius muttered something under his.

"We have had a numinous vote to remove Dumbledore/ Said the governor that escorted Harry, "However if you disagree with him then say so."

Harry looked at their faces, he realized something. All of them didn't want to remove Dumbledore, but Lucius was making them anyways.

"I refuse to let Dumbledore get suspended." Said Harry, "Who knows what might happen if he is suspended."

Lucius scowled.

"Then Harry Potter have you over turned our vote?" asked the guvnor who escorted him there.

"I do." Said Harry.

"Then, Albus Dumbledore will not be suspended." Said the governor.

11 of the 12 Governors inwardly celebrated. This was something Lucius couldn't take away from them.

Well for now…

The guvnor escorted Harry back to Hogwarts.

"Why did you all agree to suspend Dumbledore?" asked Harry.

"I can't say right now… but when this is all over if we're unable to, you must get rid of him." Said the governor.

"I will." Said Harry.

"Thank you." Said the governor who then offered a hand to Harry, "Fawley.

"What?" asked Harry.

"That's my last name, Sylvester Fawley." Said the governor… apparently named Sylvester.

The two shook hands, Harry realizing that it would be a good idea to be on friendly terms with the Board of Governors… or at least one of the members.

Harry was taken to the fireplace and then was instructed to say Gryffindor Common Room.

Harry was surprised it could take him there and it did.

In the common room many people were surprised when Harry came out of the fireplace with a green flash of fire.

"Wait… the fire place can be used that way?" asked one of the students.

"Apparently." Said another.

Harry saw Erza and Ron standing next to each other.

"What happened?" asked Erza.

"The Board of Governors tried to kick out Dumbledore but I stopped them." Said Harry.

"That's a relief." Said Erza.

Erza told Harry about the new restrictions, while he was a little upset he understood. Especially after what happened.

That night as Harry was falling asleep he realized something, that the girl who died the first time this happened was in the bathroom.

"It couldn't be… could it…" thought Harry.

He had realized it that it was Moaning Myrtle.

Meanwhile in the realm of Gods… a Goddess brought up something.

"Hey… does Erza's eye have any weird abilities." Said the Goddess.

"Let's see…" said the god who started it all bring up Erza's file, "Huh… interesting…"

"You mean…" said the goddess.

"It is…" said the god

The next morning Erza had revised an interesting letter.

"The right is immune."

Erza stared at the letter then realized what it meant. Her eye.

"What is that?" asked Neville seeing the letter.

"Just nothing important." Answered Erza.

However the next morning, word had that spread that Hagrid had taken to Azkaban… Some students were relived others knew he was just a patsy and were still on edge.

And those on edge were right to be so… after all whoever was doing still was on the loose.

Next Time: Everything takes a turn for the worse as Ginny is taken by the heir into the Chamber of Secrets. Now they all must find her before it's too late! Unfortunately Lockhart was tasked with the duty of saving her... What will happen? Find out next time!
