The second chapter that i think is a bit strange but i like it hope you will two

The Human Weakness

Eve blinked her eyes open to see the full moon and stars above her their shine dulled by many of years shining brightly. Eve moved her arms behind her head "Even the sky is tired of this world of Darkness" Eve thought sadly. Eve sneezed, she felt cold even though she knew it wasn't. "Do you have a cold or something" she heard her friend ask. Eve turned her head towards the fire. Grovyle was sitting in his usually position arms and legs crossed, eyes closed, head tilted downward. "Ah yes, but it probably all the dust" she lied. Eve knew she was sick but if she told Grovyle he'd make a big deal out of it. "We'll stay here until your better" that's what he'd say "You need all your strength".

"I would say I'm fine then he'd refuse to go any further and I wouldn't leave without him" Eve knew she couldn't. She cared about him too much. They were partners and partners were supposed to protect each other. "I'll feel better once we get going" Eve told herself, but she still had a nagging feeling in the back of her head that her illness was worse than she thought. Eve stood up abruptly "We should get going" she urged taking up her bag. Grovyle had a concerned look on his face "Shouldn't we eat first" he asked. "We can do that on the way" she finished and walked off down the track leaving Grovyle to put out the fire and catch up.

After a few minutes she heard Grovyle running up behind her. "Why are you in such a hurry" Grovyle asked curiously. "I just want to find Uxie and get this other with" Eve snapped and they walked on in silence.

"Something is wrong here" Grovyle thought looking at Eve in the corner of his eye. "Eve never gets angry at me, sometimes I think I can do no wrong" he thought. "Whenever I look at her she's always smiling at me, even when things are tough". Grovyle was getting more concerned with every passing moment. Eve seemed more sluggish than usual and she was coughing almost all the time. She had said she just had a cold but Grovyle knew it was more than that and getting worse. Eve seemed to notice him staring and put on a face that said "What are you staring at?" Grovyle looked forward instead he had eaten an apple but when he asked about her she said she wasn't hungry.

Eve straggled behind Grovyle she was out of breath. With every step her feet seemed to get heavier. Now she felt really hot like she was burning under the blazing sun. There was a greyish blur around the edges of her sight. The world around her started to spin. Her legs could hold her no longer and buckled under her weight. She couldn't get up even though she tried. The grey blur around her vision darkened and engulfed more of what she could see. She saw Grovyle turned to look at her and heard some muffled words she didn't understand.

Grovyle knew Eve was trailing behind and was about to suggest they stop and rest when he heard a "Thud" behind him. He turned to see Eve sitting on the ground swaying lightly from side to side. "Eve are you ok" he asked his voice shook a bit. She looked at him strangely as if he was speaking another language. He took a few steps closer and heard Eve whisper "I'm sorry" before she fell to the side eyes closed. Grovyle jumped back in surprise then half ran half walked cautiously to her side. He looked at Eve's face, her cheeks were red and her breathing was short and wheezy. Grovyle reached out with his hand and laid a claw on her forehead.

He pulled it back almost immediately. Her forehead was like an Infernape's blazing crown. She's running a high fever "Oh Eve" Grovyle cried "Why didn't you tell me" he thought looking down at her. He dragged her under some trees for cover but she didn't stir. Grovyle wasn't sure what to do; Eve was the one that knew healing technics. He knew Heal seeds helped with stat problems but did they work on humans. Only one way to find out Grovyle decided taking a Heal seed from his bag. Grovyle thought he would have to force feed her but Eve stirred. She opened her eyes half way and turned her head to look at him her cheeks were still red.

"Here Eve eat this" he instructed her placing the seed in her palm. She didn't argue instead she put the seed in her mouth and swallowed before closing her eyes again.

YAY!

i don't really think heal seeds work on humans but may as well give it a try

anyway i hope you liked the chapters and in the next chapter Grovyle and Eve should be back on their quest
