Enter Garp
Upon hearing that a 'giant of a man' appeared through yet another unexpected portal at the Shinou Temple, Yuki stiffened and took off. She bolted onto a horse and vaulted over the guards that tried to stop her, getting to the courtyard where the fountain was. Sitting there contently was, in fact, someone from her adopted world.
"Damn this to hell." Yuki groaned, leaning against the wall.
"They were not kidding when they said 'giant of a man', were they?" Yozak muttered. "So, what do we do?"
"Go get one of those ear-translator thingies." Yuki stated. "I'll handle him."
"Why doesn't that sound comforting?" Yozak sighed. "Shall I return with an army?"
"No one can take that kind of beating. Hopefully, he's not cranky after nearly drowning on the way here." Yuki stated. "Now go. If you suddenly see trees falling in the middle of the forest, make sure the soldiers stay away. I grew up with this guy beating the hell out of me. If not, he and I will head to the castle via the main road." She looked him in the eye, her eyes stern and not joking. "Keep Yuri and Shori out of sight until I say otherwise. I don't care how. Tell Conrad I said so. They WILL NOT survive a beating from this guy."
"I said 'who are you'!" The guards continued to yell, about twenty of them pointing spears at him. "Answer me, intruder! Answer or we'll attack."
"And if we do see the forest falling apart, just stay there with the translator?" Yozak asked.
"Yeah. A beat-down is the typical greeting for our fucked-up family." Yuki stated. "Hence why I have the pain tolerance of a god."
"Stay safe, kiddo." Yozak stated before vaulting onto his horse and bolting as fast as the horse could carry him.
Yuki sighed, wincing as all twenty of them went to kill the man. With a single wave of his hand, most of them went flying.
"Old man, what did I tell you about getting older and slower?" Yuki yelled as she stood up.
"Ah, someone that speaks my – WHAT DID YOU SAY?" He roared the last part. "Get over here, you little brat! I'll show you old and slow!"
"Gotta catch me first, you old sloth!" Yuki taunted before running as fast as she could. "You couldn't catch a slug, old man!"
"Get back here, you coward! Face me! I'll show you just how OLD AND SLOW I am!" He roared. "I'll teach you a lesson you'll never forget!"
"Shiiit!" Yuki groaned, jumping into the trees and running on the branches as fast as she could. Instantly, she could tell that either the old man had gotten stronger or she'd gotten weaker. Somehow, she doubted that the old man had gotten so fast that she had trouble out-maneuvering him. "You've gotten slower, you decrepit old marine. You used to be able to catch me easily."
"SHUT UP AND TAKE YOUR BEATING LIKE A MAN!" He roared.
"I'm not a-" She stopped, barely catching another tree in time as the one she'd just landed on fell to the forest floor with enough force to knock someone off his feet. "Alright, stop teasing the monster." She told herself as she scrambled higher up the tree before vaulting to another.
"Anissina!" Yozak shouted, gasping for breath as he barged into her lab. "I need … one of … your translators." He gasped out, hunched over slightly.
"Someone else from His Majesty's world?" Gunter asked, tossing the helmet off and standing, eager to find an excuse to get away from Anissina's experiments.
"No. He's from Yuki's adopted world…" Yozak gasped. "I've been given strict orders to keep at least Majesty and his elder brother away using any means necessary."
"I'm not entirely sure if the thing would work with his language. They were meant for Earth-languages." Annisina stated as she dropped the earpiece into Yozak's hand. "Where is he now?"
"I don't know. I assume Yuki led him into the forest. She stated that I should keep all soldiers away if the forest suddenly starts to crumble." Yozak gasped. "I suggest we amplify the castle's defenses."
"What sort of weapons does this man have?" Gwendal questioned as they walked down the hall.
"None that I saw. But he stands twice the height of a grown man and took out over a dozen armed Temple Guards with a wave of his hand." Yozak stated. Then he stopped, glancing around before speaking again. "And I advise the kiddo and his elder brother be kept busy inside and not informed, especially that Yuki is out there."
"You forget that he has his amount of power, Yozak." Conrad stated.
"Direct orders from Yuki." Yozak stated. "She stated, and I quote, 'they will not survive that kind of beating'. She was dead-serious when she said it. I'm not exactly willing to assume she has forgotten about what kind of power Majesty has. I'm even less willing to defy her the one time she actually gives an order."
"Understood." Conrad stated. "Anissina, please do what you can. Keep them away from windows but try not to be too obvious about it. Um… cooking. 'Family cooking time' or something like that."
"Got it." Anissina stated, walking away.
"I'll get up to Shinou Temple with Gisela. We'll take care of any wounded and ensure the orders are followed." Gunter stated. "Send a messenger-pigeon when it is safe. The temple will be locked up tight. If it is already locked, then we shall return here using the main entrance."
"Yeah, and Yuki stated that she and the man would use the main road. That'd be the signal that everything was safe." Yozak added. By that point, he wasn't as exhausted. "I suggest only skilled magic-users be outside the castle on guard-duty." Then, as an afterthought, he added "Aside from Wolfram."
"Why is that? Does the man have some defense against fire?" Gwendal questioned.
"No, but Yuki may kill us if Wolfram is put in danger. It may be best he not know at all." Yozak stated. "He's rash and protective of Yuki. If the man took down over a dozen armed soldiers then I don't think he stands a chance in hell alone."
Conrad nodded and everyone split up.
After a few dozen trees mysteriously fell to the forest floor, Yuki eventually did 'take her beating like a man'. Thanks to impact dials, she was able to return some decent blows as well. And, about five hours later, they were lying down on the ground after punching each other in the face and knocking each other to the ground.
"You appeared at a temple full of priestesses, gramps." Yuki stated. She'd taken to calling him her grandfather after a while. The second she landed her first punch, she'd earned his respect and he quickly decided her name was Monkey D Yuki.
"Ah, so that's how it is." Garp stated. "Oi, boys, they thought we were gonna rape the girls."
"Eh?" Yuki chirped, realizing just then that she could suddenly sense two extra people. "Damn it. I've spent too much time on this world. I've gone soft."
"Coby, Helmeppo, come meet my granddaughter. She is Luffy's adopted little sister, Coby." Garp stated. "Yuki. Ninja Queen Yuki."
"Dragon, Straw Hat Luffy, Fire Fist Ace… dang, Garp." Helmeppo stated, listing them off on his fingers. "Now Ninja Queen Yuki." He grinned slightly. "So, I'm assuming Garp's training is what led to your skills of not getting found."
"You'd be correct." Yuki grinned, shaking his hand.
"She's good." Garp stated. "She targets slave-traders and the people that the military SHOULD aim for. So she's a marine at heart."
"I wouldn't be caught dead in the uniform that believes in this 'absolute justice' bullshit." Yuki stated, not caring if it awakened another one of Garp's fearsome training sessions.
"I know. And I'm retired now. Handed in my resignation with Sangoku soon after the war." Garp told her.
"BOOYA!" Yuki cheered, jumping and landing on Garp's stomach, straddling him. "If the Whitebeard Pirates have disbanded, then I'll be making my own crew. I'll make Fishman Island my territory and I'll take down all the slave-traders. Join me, gramps!"
He laughed loudly at her enthusiasm. It hadn't changed sense she was a little kid. "Not a chance. I refuse to be a pirate. I will do all of those things in the name of the World Government." Garp told her.
Yuki groaned. "Fine, I suppose that's better than nothing." Then she grinned, looking to the other two. "How about you guys? Gotta be strong to stand next to gramps without pissing yourself. Wanna beat up slavers together?"
"Not as pirates." They said together.
Coby grinned slightly, looking at Garp. "Befriending a pirate is a high crime but what if's she's a marine at heart?"
"I won't tell if you don't." Garp grinned. Then his face darkened slightly as he sat up. "Now what's going on? Where are we and how did a long-dead man appear to me? How did we fall through a flooded floor like that?"
"Uh…. Alright, first of all, this isn't the world you were born on. It's a completely different planet. Different landmasses, different language, everything. The different countries are ruled by their own monarchs and there is no world-government because, honestly, most countries don't get a long right about now." Yuki stated. "I know of three worlds so far, this one, the one I was born on, and the one you guys came from."
"…Alright…" Garp stated while Coby and Helmeppo looked shell shocked. "And… what of Gold Roger?"
"He's the one that sent you here? Cool." Yuki grinned. "I think only the big dogs, you know, famous guys, become powerful enough to mess with portals. The one here is named Shinou. He's the king that founded this country, Shin Makoku."
"Ghosts." Coby muttered, shuddering. "I think I preferred it when they were just horror stories."
"Dude, you can't possibly be more scared of a ghost than Gramps." Yuki deadpanned.
"True." Helmeppo and Coby stated.
"Anyway, I'm actually a twin. I was born on a world called Earth. We're soul-twins, identical souls. And that's how you're transported from world to world, your soul is called. Well, Yuri is the heir to the throne here and, if both of us appeared, it'd bring up the question of who is the real heir. Think about it for a minute and I'm sure you can see the implications of that."
"So you had to disappear." Garp nodded. "But you're here now. Isn't this where your twin is?"
"Yea, but now he's recognized as the king. He's one of those 'everyone loves him' kings. With a few exceptions, of course, but you can't please everyone." Yuki explained. "Anyway, he's going up against something big so I was summoned here to help him out."
"And us?" Garp questioned, sitting up finally and setting his granddaughter on his leg. "Who says we're going to help you?"
"I dunno. Maybe Gold Roger has a few screws loose. I mean, why bring my homicidal grandfather and two strangers when he could have grabbed a few guys from the Whitebeard Pirates?" Yuki sighed. "But oh well. I guess I'd prefer three marines to a group of pirates. I'm not asking you to help. I'm crossing my fingers that we don't need it." She stood, popping her dislocated shoulder back into place before swinging her arm around to make sure it was alright. "We have these weird translator-thingies that might work for you guys. If not, then I'll be your personal translator."
"I didn't say we wouldn't help." Garp hissed as the four walked out of the forest. Then he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I suppose I owe those women an apology…"
"Probably." Yuki shrugged. "Oh, hay, I've got two brothers here, my twin and my elder brother. They're not fighters so don't be mean. I don't think the soldiers would survive a single punch, either, coming from Gramps."
"I got it. I'll be a good boy so long as they do." Garp groaned. "But that means you've gotta train with us. If I don't train things get ugly."
"It's a Monkey trait." Yuki grinned. "Remember, Gramps. I'm adopted into that 'gotta train every day' curse."
Garp laughed loudly, suddenly looking forward to spending his time here.
They got onto the main road, walking towards the castle together. Even from there, they could see the guards lining the outside walls and on the tops of the roof.
"I told them that us walking the main road would be a signal that everything was fine." Yuki stated. "But if they attack first, I'm not asking you to allow yourselves to get hurt. Just don't severely hurt anyone. They aren't exactly built like monsters like us."
"Don't worry, Yuki." Coby chuckled. "We know how defend ourselves without killing."
"We are likely to be attacked, though." Helmeppo stated. "I mean, your brother is the king. They know that Garp was fighting with you. You look like you just came out of a war."
Yuki nodded. Her shoulder was stiff and painful to move and blood was coming from her forehead in at least two spots, dripping steadily off her chin. She had been wearing a cloak, a black dress, and tights with boots. Her cloak was torn to shreds and burned, her tights looked like Swiss Cheese, and her dress had a large cut on the right side where she'd gone through a tree and met the splinters.
"I gave the order to keep Yuri and Shori hidden. They are older brothers, so they'd rush to help. Compared to me, it wouldn't take much to kill them." Yuki stated. "And I already told them that beating the hell out of each other was our family greeting."
Garp thought about it for a second before laughing loudly. "It is, isn't it?! HAHA!"
They walked right up to the front gates and stopped as someone rushed forward. Garp remained neutral while Coby and Helmeppo both readied themselves for a fight.
Gwendal ignored everything, only having eyes for Yuki. "Everything alright now?" He asked as he applied pressure to her head wounds.
"Yep. They're cool." Yuki grinned.
"I thought your blood-family was insane." Gwendal muttered. Then he stiffened slightly. "I thought there was just one."
"Nope, three. Smaller two were hiding somewhere, I guess. Let's see if we can get the translators to work for them, shall we?" Yuki walked forward.
With a single hand-gesture from Gwendal, all the soldiers sheathed their swords and unarmed the cannons. Yozak and Conrad rushed forward, ushering the four inside. All of them were brought into a room and treated for wounds. Gisela treated them both, yet again amazed that Yuki had remained standing with such wounds even thought they were all relatively minor compared to the internal injuries she had upon arrival before.
