Chapter 25: The Truth
Back at the cottage the three trolls are trying to make Ardea a cake for her birthday
"I'm so happy we're finally leaving tomorrow." Tess excitingly said.
"We are not leaving tomorrow" Bess sighed.
"But tomorrow is Ardea's eighteenth birthday" Jess pointed out.
"Yes but Hans told us to take her back the day after her birthday" Bess also pointed out.
"No, he said on her birthday" Tess argued.
"No, the day after her birthday" Bess argued.
"On" Tess sternly said.
"After" Bess sternly replied.
"On!" Tess whined and throws flour at Bess.
"After!" Bess snapped and throws flour back at Tess
The two continued throwing flour at each other as Jess tried to break the fight up as Ardea along with Kristoff, Georgia, Oliver and Sven enters the cottage.
"Oh not again" Kristoff sighed.
"Oi" Georgia shouted.
The three trolls halted and look at the others in embarrassment.
"I need to talk to you about something" Ardea started.
"Oh, yes, sweetie, what is it?" Bessa sweetly asked.
"I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but I'll be eighteen tomorrow" Ardea said.
The three trolls then gasp happily and giggles as Jess bring out the cake they've baked, which looks horrible.
"We're not eating that are we?" Oliver asked his mother.
"No dear" Georgia whispered.
"I'm sorry but I'm leaving home" Ardea apologized.
The others looked at the young girl in alarm as Jess drops the cake on the ground.
"Anna..." Kristoff started, addressing Ardea with her fake name.
"Now...See here, young lady" Bess firmly yet softly said "I did not spend eighteen years in this miserable hovel with these two imbeciles..."
"Hey!" Both Jess and Tess sternly exclaimed.
"Shush!" Bess hissed at the two troll before she turns back to Ardea and continued "So that you could ruin it on the last day. We are taking you back to your father with-"
"Wait, Her father?" Oliver asked in confusion.
The trolls realizes that they, mostly Bess, have revealed their secret to everyone in the cottage.
"You told me my parents were dead" Ardea said in confusion.
"What is going on here you three?" Kristoff asked a bit firmly.
"I think you better come and sit down" Bess said to Ardea.
Ardea nodded and sits with the trolls where the others looked ahead of the scene.
"You see, Your father is the king of the Southern Isles, King Hans" said Bess.
"Hans?" Kristoff asked.
"You know him?" Bess asked.
"Yes, he was supposed to be...well...Anna's true love" Kristoff replied.
"But that's my name..." Ardea started.
"No darling, your real name...is Ardea" said Tess.
"Wait, The Ardea? The lost princess of the Southern Isles, according to the rumours in the village?" Georgia asked in shock.
The three trolls nodded as Ardea was in shock to know that not only was she a princess but she learned of her true name and family.
"I...I don't get it, If I'm a princess, Why did my real family kept me away?" Ardea sadly asked.
"That's the part we need to explain, you see, A long time ago there was this queen name Elsa, She had a sister name Anna which was what Father wanted us to call you in respect" said Jess.
"Elsa?" Ardea asked as she didn't realize that Elsa is involved with this.
"Yes, that's her name. She had a sister name Anna" Kristoff replied.
"How do you know all of this?" Georgia asked.
"Because I helped Anna to get her sister back to Arendelle after she accidently frozen her kingdom but it went horribly wrong..." Kristoff answered.
"What do you mean dad?" Oliver asked.
"Elsa accidently froze Anna's heart and the curse killed her...Which I didn't understand at first since Anna told me that Hans loved her and cared for her. Because the only way to break the curse is an act of true love but I doubted Hans loved her...not one bit, If you ask me I reckon he's used Anna and made Elsa like this" said Kristoff.
"That's a lie, Han's a caring person" Jess protested.
"I had to agree with Kristoff, If Ardea's father loved her so much, why didn't he saved her?" Geogria asked.
"Sounds like a mad man if you asked me" Oliver asked.
"Wait a minute!" Ardea cried "Elsa killed her sister?"
"Yes but it was an accident, I know it" Kristoff replied.
"Then I suppose you know that after Hans tried to destroy Elsa, she came back and destroyed everyone in Arendelle and brought the kingdom down" Tess said.
"Then she murdered the Grand masters of the Enchanted Mountain, Pabbie and Mezon and took over the Enchanted Mountains with a cold iron fist" Jess replied.
"Which is why we escaped and are now here" said Bess.
The others especially Ardea was in shock as Bess continued
"But that's not the worst part...On the day of your christening, Ardea, she came to the kingdom and place the same curse she did to Anna on you only, you had till tomorrow to rid of the curse or you will end up the same way as Anna did"
The others gasped in horror as Ardea felt a cold knife in her as she feels her heart and gasped
"D-Did she froze my heart?"
The trolls nodded as Ardea couldn't believe that the woman she used to admire and respect was nothing more but a wicked queen as she sobs and runs out of the cottage, determinate to get answers from Elsa.
"Ardea! Wait!" Oliver called out but it was useless.
"Now look what you've done, You upset her" Tess argued to Bess.
"Me? You two made it worse" Bess argued.
"Did not!" Jess and Tess snapped.
"Did too!" Bess snapped too and fought with her sisters.
"You three are hopeless!" Kristoff snapped as he leaves with the others.
Ardea runs to the icy walls of the Enchanted Mountains and desperately cries out
"Elsa, Elsa!"
Soon the Snow Queen appears before her with Olaf by her side
"I'm here"
"When were you going to tell me that I'm cursed?" Ardea sobbed.
Elsa knew this day was going to come as she sadly sighed
"So now you know the truth about me then, Am I right Ardea?"
Ardea looks at Elsa in horror as her worst fears were ringing before she sobbed
"Is it true? Did you...freeze my heart?"
"...Yes" Elsa shamefully admitted.
"Ardea!"
Soon Oliver, Kristoff, Georgia and Sven reach to Ardea and then gasped in alarm as they saw the young girl with Elsa.
Oliver growls angrily at Elsa and charges at her
"Oliver, No!" Geogria cried.
Elsa uses her powers to blow him away as the young man lands on the ground with little pain.
"Why...Why did you murder those people at Arendelle?...Why did you murder Pabbie and Mezon?" Ardea asked.
"I killed Pabbie and Mezon because I blame them for not be there to prevent myself and my family from going to misery since they are the wise and powerful males of all trolls" Elsa explained.
"Elsa...Pabbie may not be the best troll in the world but he has his reasons...You didn't have to kill him" Kristoff sternly replied as he was cautious with Elsa.
Elsa was silent until Georgia sternly said
"You haven't told us why you murdered those people in Arendelle..."
"Because they betrayed me and they accuse me of a monster and tried to kill me for what I am...I had to fight to survive...It was me or them" Elsa hissed.
"But those people...even the children and the elderly...I guess the rumors were true, you are as wicked as they say you are" Georgia softly replied as she holds Kristoff close.
"Ardea, why didn't you tell us you were seeing this...creature?" Oliver asked.
"Because she was watching over me my whole life and I was curious about the Enchanted Mountains but...I was wrong about her" Ardea sadly replied.
"Ardea..." Elsa started
"No! Don't even come near me. You're the monster here, It's you! You're the evil that's in this world" Ardea cried and shoves Elsa away
She then flees in tears as Elsa sighed and uses her powers to return to the Enchanted Mountains, leaving Olaf behind with the others.
"What are we going to do now Kristoff?" Georgia asked.
"I don't know but we got to find a way to get the curse out of Ardea" said Kristoff.
Sven then goes to Olaf and nuzzles his long lost friend as Olaf in tears hug Sven.
"I missed you too Sven"
Ardea and the others know the truth about Elsa and everything
