CHAPTER 26: Fire and related things
Dear Link and Dark
Dark if someone hurt you I'm going to RIP THEM TO PIECES BURN THEIR ASHES AND MAKE THEM FEEL LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN BORN! HOW DARE THEY HURT DARK! HE DID NOTHING TO THEM BUT THEY ATTACKED HIM! THEY ARE DEAD MEN WALKING! I WILL TRACK THEM DOWN AND DESTROY THEM! NO. ONE. HURTS. PEOPLE. I. CONSIDER. MY. FRIEND! IF THEY KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR THEM THEY SHOULD START RUNNING! WHOEVER THEY ARE, I. WILL. FIND. THEM!
Sorry bout' that. I'm a bit... um... protective when it comes to people I consider my friends. I just needed to get that outa my system before I burn a forest down or something. Last time I got that angry... well my home still has burn marks. Anyways, sorry if that scared you guys but those people should have never hurt Dark. And Dark, if that happens again tell someone like Link or Zelda. They have no right to treat you that way. And if they do attack you find some nonlethal way to disarm them and stop them from hurting you. If it was in self-defense you have every right to beat them to pulp. Now, moving on from these very depressing topics.
You guys are welcome to visit my place any time. As long as your holding the Fire Staff I gave you, when you shout 'nepo latrop ecalap suryf' a portal will open to my fire palace. Its a bit hot and you have to watch out for the lava but otherwise its nice. Also you guys should get out of the palace and go have some fun. Start exploring and enjoying this Ganondork free world. And if he does come back tell me. I still owe him for trashing my palace and adding an infestation of fire slugs which I STILL CAN'T GET RID OF! If my slightly insane and angry attitude scared you guys, this only happens when someone really makes me mad. And having a fire slug drop on my head just after finding out poor Dark got attacked makes me so ANGRY! Anyways, to make you guys feel happy again which I'm very good at, I sent you guys an extra Fire Staff with the same powers as the first because you both deserve your own. Anyways, I'm off to take out my anger on some of those annoying fire slugs.

P.S. Sorry about how this letter is a bit charred. When I was writing about this I got so angry that I lost control of my powers for a bit. But don't worry, nothing was burned other than my desk.
P.P.S. I heard all this from the author. Don't blame anyone else for me finding out about this but you seemed really sad about it so this is just my way of trying to cheer you up. But if my mood swings scared you then sorry.
Since the letter was to both him and Link, Dark already opened the envelope and started to read it. He nearly stumbled as he read the letter with wide eyes. "Oh shit... I can't really let Link see this..." The dark Hylian thought, took once a deep breath and tried to calm down before he already entered into his and Link's room.
"So... New letters?" The Hero inquired nearly instantly when Dark got inside. The dark Hylian shrugged a bit as he closed the door.
"Well, it's only one letter and for me. Sorry." Dark replied bit apolitically. Link sighed but nodded.
"I should've guessed you're the one who's getting most of the letters since she's writing your story." The Hero stated slightly disappointed.
"HEY! It's not my fault, okay!" Dark half barked back. The quick defense got Link to jump a bit in surprise.
"Wow, take it easy. I wasn't meaning anything bad, you know." The Hero replied while raising his hands for surrender. The darker Hylian sighed and slumped down to the bed. "Are you okay?" Link inquired and carefully came to the bed before already hugging Dark from behind.
"Sorry." The dark Hylian mumbled and offered the Fire Staff Fyrusfairy had send them. "Fyrusfairy send another Fire Rod so now we're both having one. Also, according to the letter we can get to Fyrusfairy's place by a shortish spell." He continued and leaned against the Hero while fully hiding the letter.
"Okay. Sounds like a nice thing. Maybe we could give a visit someday." Link suggested as he took the offered weapon from Dark.
The dark Hylian nodded but he wasn't yet ready with his explanation. "Also, according to him, there's this Fire Slug problem. Along with the fact of his place being pretty much hot with some lava areas here and there. Soo..."
The Hero nodded as he listened carefully to the things Dark listed out. "So, it's for Goron Tunic and weapons. Considering the condition of the letter I'd say he's pretty much liking the hot and fiery place. So, that would rule out water and ice." Link stated and the dark Hylian nodded. "Well, I'm sure we can figure something out to help to get rid of the Fire Slugs. Soo... Needing help to answer into the letter?" He continued but Dark shook his head. "Okay. Just call me if you need any of help." The Hero stated before giving quick tightening of the hug and kissed the dark Hylian to the top of his head before letting go of him and going to the bookshelf to pick a book to read.
Dark sighed and crawled to his side of the bed. After that he put the letter down while getting what he needed to reply to the letter. He was bit startled when Link sat back down to the bed and laid down. The dark Hylian glanced at him but realized that the Hero had only fetched a book to read, so he calmed down very quickly and turned to read the letter through again.
Dark frowned a bit as he read the letter. He wasn't fully sure of how to reply to it but he was certain of coming up with something. The dark Hylian took once a deep breath, picked the pen and pulled the empty paper closer before starting to write.
Dear Fyrusfairy, thank You for Your letter. It did bit startle me and I'm not exactly eager of letting Link know about that incident. And my ghost writer... Well, she has the rights of telling my story so... Yeah, can't really get angry at her.
Thank You for caring. And, um... Sorry about your desk. I hope getting a new one won't be too expensive... Though, considering your living place... It might not be easy to find. Um... OH! Huge thanks for the Fire Staff! According to Link we could give you a visit someday.
Um... About the Fire Slugs... Me and Link send a slight present in a form of an ice magic at last Christmas. I hope the information of it will be helpful. Though... I fear a bit that you should move out for a while as the Fire Slugs are being killed. ^^; Sorry. It is quite hard to get rid of Fire Slugs in such a place as yours.
But, getting back to the earlier topic, I will try and start to fight for myself. It's just that... *sigh* I am starting to get my life under control in here. Nothing big but people are starting to accept me. Yet, there are those fools that attack without a reason. And, sadly, my first idea is to let them do as they please for few reasons. One, they'll have enough of it faster. Two, if I fight back it'll be just my word against theirs. And three, most of those idiots aren't killers so I'm not exactly in full life-danger. Still, if things start to go too far, I will fight back. But, as you said, I will try and find a nonlethal way of disarming them.
Thank you for the letter and the staff. I hope I'll hear of you soon again.

The dark Hylian picked up the paper and read it through. It wasn't a long letter but he had gotten everything said. Once he was certain that there weren't any of writing errors nor was there anything he'd like to add, he folded it couple of times and started to work with the envelopes.
Link had been glancing at Dark now and then but since the dark Hylian seemed so concentrated in his work, he didn't say a word. Once Dark started to do the envelopes, the Hero put the book down and just watched him. It didn't take long before the dark Hylian was ready and turned around. "I guess you'll head to send the letter off, right?" Link inquired and Dark simply nodded. "You gonna be okay?" The Hero continued his questioning.
The darker Hylian sighed nearly exaggerated. "Oh, come on! It's not the first time I'm sending a letter." He replied with a slight huff. Link just chuckled and shrugged.
"Yeah, well, you looked bit freaked out when you came in. Anything you want to talk about?" The Hero stated.
Dark just simply shrugged and shook his head. "It's nothing. There just was something bit of unexpected thing in the letter." He answered, got up from the bed and started to head towards the door. "I'll be back before you know it!" The dark Hylian called, gave a quick wink and right after that he was already gone.
Link sighed a bit but couldn't help smiling. The dark Hylian was starting to be quite comfortable and bit more courageous. He wasn't exactly needing the Hero to look after his every move anymore. Link closed his eyes and leaned bit backwards to find slightly better position on the bed. "I guess this is what everyone feels when either their kids or younger siblings are starting to be ready to leave the safety of their homes..." He thought bit sorrowfully. "At least he knows he has a home and safe place where to be at and where to return if need be..."

Few things to notice:
1) Most of the chapters aren't that of long but the least I'm doing is one Word page long so it should be long enough. ^^; Also keep sending the letters even though I'm not certain when the next letter is replied to. ^^; IF we're lucky, it'll be at next Monday but not certain of that. ;) Though, Monday IS the updating day but how often is uncertain. ^^;
2) How to write a letter:
Couple of simple things that I would HIGHLY appreciate:
- Before sending what You've written, please, read it through. Just in case if there's some words missing.
- Dots. I would SERIOUSLY appreciate it if You could actually put a dot after a sentence. Helps TREMENDOUSLY to read it. It's okay if You're not using capitalized letters at the start of a sentence and within names but I would pretty much RECOMMEND the dots into the end of the sentence.
- Paragraphs. Whenever You change the topic in Your letter press that button called Enter. Again, it helps to read the letter and find a way to reply to it.
- NO harmful things. I will NOT accept letters that are having mean and cruel words NOR harmful presents... Though, there IS an exception. I WILL send such thigngs into Evil Realm. At first I had thought to deny it from there too but then I came up with that one story with the send magic bomb and, well, yeah... But such things will NOT be send to Dark, Link, Zelda or others who are NOT thorough bad guys. Thank You for Your understanding.
All of these little things also helps YOU to give a better picture of You to the character You send the letter.
Still in working:
1) Do a drawing from one of my stories and I'll write you a story OR I can give bit of preview from upcoming chapters or next stories. =)
2) Send questions to Dark and/or Link! Also, other characters will be answering if you want to send a question for them! =)
