Chapter 26: The Fighting Dojo

It was a beautiful morning at Saffron City. A man wearing a black suit and tie walked into the Silph Company building, opening the doors to the public and employees. Smiling, he went to press the elevator button. With relief, he heard the sound of the elevator. The doors opened as he walked into the elevator. Pressing the 11 button, he was yawning as he smiled. He had gold framed glasses, wearing a brown suit and tie with a black dress shirt. He had black hair with some grey. He was very contempt and average build.

"Well, now that the Master Ball project is finally complete, we can distribute them to each city. One lucky person will get a Master Ball," he said.

As the doors opened up, he went to step out. Doing so, someone in black grabbed him. Screaming and muffling, he was thrown into the office. The office was fairly huge with brown couches and golden Pokémon statues. As he sat in the chair, a group of people emerged from the ceiling. They were all wearing black with red R's on their chests with Desert Eagle pistols and Poké Balls at hand. The person in black removed her mask as her blonde hair stuck out.

"Boss, mission accomplished," said the grunts.

"Oh, I knew it was accomplished. It was like taking candy away from a baby," said Kira, smiling, "It was easy."

"What… what… what… do you want from me?" he asked.

"Simple, Mr. Silph," she said, smiling, "I want… the Master Balls… for my evil plot!"

"I will never give them to you!" he shouted.

Kira laughed, "Chris?"

Chris smiled as he pushed his glasses. He snapped his fingers. Mr. Silph was lifted in the air.

"Now, let me ask you: Where are the Master Balls? It's not a hard question," said Kira.

Meanwhile…

The trainers were sitting there at Saffron City Gym as Ed was sitting on the sidelines, watching Kevin battle. She released Haunter, which was her last Pokémon. The other two she had used were Espeon and Mr. Mime. For Kevin, it was great difficulty. He used Magnemite to battle Mr. Mime. It worked and then didn't work out. Bayleef was already out from Espeon, which left Onix to knock them all out of the park. Speaking of knocking them down… there were rocks coming down from the ceiling, heading toward Haunter.

SMASH!

"Haunter!" shouted Sabrina.

Kevin chuckled as he looked at her, "I guess I win the match."

Onix roared as he raised his tail. Kevin hopped on the tail and headed toward his face to pet the Pokémon. Sabrina nodded as she looked at him. She gave him the Marsh Badge with a smile of happiness.

"Good luck on your journey," she said, waving her goodbyes. Ed smiled as he waved his with Kevin next to him.

"Ah," said Kevin, placing the Marsh Badge in the case, "I can't believe we have three badges now."

"Yep," said Ed, smiling. He then turned toward the group, "And I know the closest gym from here is Celadon City."

"Celadon?" asked El, smiling, "You could get there by dusk."

"Exactly," said Ed, "So, shall we?"

"We shall," said Kevin.

"EXCUSE ME!"

Kevin and Ed look at each other. Turning around, they noticed two men wearing white karate uniforms with black belts. They had black bandanas around their heads. They were looking at the two of them like they were prey and the black belts themselves were the predators.

"May I help you?" asked Ed.

"Simple. We noticed you guys challenged Sabrina," said the black belt trainer, "Would you like to battle."

"Uh, yeah," said Ed, "No offense, we just want to head to Celadon City… so, if you don't mind."

The other black belt trainer flipped forward and landed in front of him with his right hand ready to throw a punch.

"Now, look. I don't want any trouble. Let us go," said Ed.

"After you battle us," he said, "No one just bypasses Saffron Gym and not come to the dojo!"

"Dojo?" asked El, laughing as she walked toward them, "You guys are fake."

One of them turned to El. His face dropped as he saw the ninja suit she was wearing.

"Really?" he asked.

El snapped her fingers. Immediately, they were being lifted in the air. Ed sighed as he looked at El, "El, let them go."

"Why?" asked El.

"If it's a battle they want, then we'll give them a battle. But, I hope they realize that they are going to have a rude awakening," said Ed.

El nodded, "Okay."

Relaxing, the other black belt trainers landed on the ground. The trainers laughed as they looked at them, "Right this way. By the way, my name is Hiro."

"And my name is Kenta," said the other black belt.

The trainers were taken to a black building with a red punching bag on the side. Surprisingly, as they walked in, Rachel and El were looking at all the fighting-type Pokémon such as Sawk, Mienfoo, Tyrogue, and Machop. They were either running laps or they were on lifting weights.

Hiro sighed as he looked at them, "You know, we tried to make this dojo a Pokémon Gym?"

"How did that go?" asked Rachel.

"Not too well," said Kenta, "The Elite Four weren't pleased with how we kept this place. When Sabrina came over and Saffron Gym was official, it really caused competition and it hurt our business."

"Oh," said Ed, sighing, "Well, are we going to get this battle over with or are we going to sit and badmouth Sabrina?"

"Patience is a virtue," said Hiro, looking at him.

Ed's eyes narrowed, "I'm 13 years old… patience doesn't apply."

Kenta laughed as he looked at him, "Well, if you and Kevin are ready to battle. Then, I see no choice! Hitmonchan, you are up!"

"Go, Hitmonlee!" yelled Hiro.

The two Pokémon were released from their Poké Balls. Hitmonchan was jumping up and down throwing his punches. His red punching gloves were shiny. It was obvious he was in a lot of battles. The next Pokémon was fully brown with bandaged legs. He kept using kicks. His eyes stared at the trainers.

"So," said Kevin, "Shall we?"

"Why not?" asked Ed.

"Pidgeotto, let's go!" yelled Ed.

"Fearow, come on out!" shouted Kevin.

The two Pokémon were released from their Poké Balls. Pidgeotto was nodding his head while Fearow was looking at the fighting Pokémon with anger.

"Oh, this is going to be awesome," said Hiro, "Hitmonlee, Rolling Kick!"

Hitmonlee lifted his right leg up and went to kick Kadabra in the stomach. Kadabra was hit hard as he stumbled backwards a little bit.

"Kadabra, don't just take the hit… use Confusion!" yelled Kevin.

"Pidgeotto, use Gust!" yelled Ed.

Kadabra levitated to strike while Pidgeotto used his wings to create gusts of wind. Hitmonlee was pecked hard by the attack. However, Hitmonchan was holding on due to the wind power.

"Hitmonchan, use Thunder Punch!" yelled Kenta.

Hitmonchan jumped up and raised his fist. A yellow surge of thunder emerged as he came toward Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto, dodge with Quick Attack!"

As Hitmonchan made the strike, Pidgeotto dodged to the left at a fast pace. Hitmonchan turned around as Pidgeotto landed on the ground.

"Use Ice Punch!" yelled Kenta.

"Pidgeotto, Twister!" shouted Ed.

Pidgeotto released four green funnels of wind, heading straight to Hitmonchan.

"Hitmonchan, Agility!"

"Hitmonlee, use Hi Jump Kick!"

Hitmonchan managed to get through the twisters. He then struck with his fist. Pidgeotto got a blow to the face, feeling the ice hit his face from the glove. Pidgeotto smacked on the ground.

After dodging Kadabra's attack, Hitmonlee jumped up toward Kadabra. His feet were stretched out, heading towards Kadabra.

"Kadabra, use Disable!" yelled Kevin.

Kadabra used his spoon. Hitmonlee yelled as he was frozen.

"Now, Confusion… since he managed to dodge the last one," said Kevin, "Let him have it!"

Kadabra stretched out his spoon again. A pink aura surrounded Hitmonlee as he started dancing around.

"That's right," said Kevin.

"Pidgeotto, stand up!" yelled Ed.

Pidgeotto carefully got up.

"Ha," said Kenta, "For someone so impatient, your Pokémon needs more training!"

Ed looked at him. He shook his head as he stared at Pidgeotto, "Pidgeotto, get up, and use Quick Attack!"

Pidgeotto charged toward Hitmonchan.

"Dodge and use Thunder Punch!" yelled Kenta.

"Dodge Thunder Punch and use Gust!" yelled Ed.

Pidgeotto dodged the thunder punch and then clapped his wings as a cloud of gust hit Hitmonchan hard.

"Finish him with Quick Attack!" yelled Ed.

Pidgeotto charged through with Quick Attack. Hitmonchan was hit hard and landed on the ground.

"Hitmonchan!" yelled Kenta.

Hitmonchan started rolling his eyes, landing on the ground. He looked at him with great surprise, "I can't believe he lost!"

"Sweet!" said Ed.

Suddenly, Hitmonlee smacked on top of Hitmonchan. Hitmonlee fainted from all of the confusion that occurred.

"Sweet!" said Kevin.

Hiro and Kenta looked at each other. The two karate trainers looked at them.

"We need to do more training," said Hiro, "For the next person that defeats Sabrina."

"Yeah," said Kenta, narrowing his eyebrows, "… Go to Celadon City for all I care. You might be trainers, but you were lucky."

Ed and Kevin grinned. Ed chuckled a little bit, "I'm so happy you think that way."

Suddenly, El walked over toward the group, "Hey, Ed. I hate to burst your bubble… but we should leave."

"Why?" asked Ed.

"Saffron City is being taken over by Team Rocket," said Rachel, pointing to the window. The four trainers looked out the window. Immediately, people in black with pistols guarding buildings with police trapped in their cars. The Silph Company was heavily guarded.

"Great," said Ed, looking at them, "Well, I guess we are going."

The trainers nodded as they walked outside and started dashing out the door. Yeah, they didn't say goodbye to the black belts, but it was more important for them to run than hide. They were already on bad terms with Team Rocket.

As they were heading straight toward the exit, Ed and the others were panting heavily. It got to the point of where Rachel tripped and landed on the ground. Ed and Kevin turned around, picked Rachel up and kept going. However, no sooner they get to the exit. They were frozen in place.

"Shit," said Ed.

"Nice to see you guys… time to take you hostage," a familiar voice said.

As they broke free, Ed turned around. Chris was grinning from ear to ear with a pistol in hand with three Rocket Grunts.

"Shit," said Ed.
