Chapter 26: Ariana of Team Rocket

Before Ariana did anything, her Arbok wrapped around Blastoise and attempted to squeeze him. I grinned knowing it was useless to keep on squeezing when its defence was stronger than Arboks attack. I said "Blastoise use surf" Blastoise became engulfed in water and sent it out as a huge wave. This wave of water filled the room quickly as I held onto Glaceon and Mew. Because this was on one of the higher floors, the window smashed under the pressure of the water and flowed into the streets below.
Ariana wasn't happy that Arbok was taken out in one hit and I was only just getting started. She looked at me and said angrily "you won't stop me, I know your type. You think you can do anything you want however you want without any disregard for other people, you're as selfish as they come"
That got me thinking as she sent Vileplume. This was a grass and poison type pokemon so I have to be careful. I called Blastoise back and sent out Dodrio, a three headed bird that somehow could fly. The Vileplume used acid on Dodrio. He was able to dodge it and I said "Dodrio use tri attack" Dodrio shot from its three heads a ball of fire, a ball of ice and a ball of lightning at Vileplume.
It dealt Vileplume a large amount of damage but it was still standing. This was going to be tougher than I first thought. I looked at Ariana and she was more annoyed than before like she had no plan to either win or lose. I cannot tell what she is thinking but is that a trap?
She called out "Vileplume use poison powder" suddenly the room filled up with a purple gas. I covered my mouth but Dodrio was too late and had already inhaled some of the poison. Dodrio wobbled and flashed purple taking a small amount of damage. I have to do something before it was too late or Dordrio could die. I have to beat her quick and then Heal Dodrio.
She called out again "Vileplume use megadrain" Vileplume drained some of Dodrios strength and healed itself. I kept thinking so I went to Dodrio and healed him using my power. Ariana was surprised to see me healing my pokemon with just my hands. She asked "how on earth are you doing that?"
I replied "I'm sorry Ariana but that is a secret reserved only for a select few. Dodrio use drill peck" the now healthy Dodrio spun all three of its heads, making a huge drill out of the beaks and attacking Vileplume with power and accuracy. The Vileplume fainted and Ariana wasn't pleased by this outcome. I continued "you're not elite, you're just someone who has lost their way. You may think you have power but it is all just to cover your own weakness of being scared of failing"
By the look on her face I hit the nail on the head. I looked at the wounded Vileplume, it was bleeding a massive amount of blood and was on the edge of life and death. I cannot believe that its trainer, Ariana, was standing there allowing her pokemon to suffer like this and not even lift a finger to save its life. This only reinforced my hatred toward Team Rocket. She called out her final pokemon while Petrel watched, grinning from the side and while her arbok was also wounded badly behind her.
Her pokemon murkrow appeared and she asked me "where do you get your power from? What is it that makes you so much stronger than me? TELL ME!" I stood there calm staring at her as she got angry.
I calmly answered her "I use the power I have to save the pokemon around me. As long as I have the strength to even try to protect the people and pokemon I care for, then I don't care if I'm the weakest person in the world" by the look on her face she understood what I mean while Petrel had no clue.
I continued "that's why you cannot beat me, I have too much to do before the likes of you can even reach me" I called Dodrio back and called out Pikachu.
I knew Murkrow was a flying dark type and my Pikachu had the advantage on her. She told her Murkrow "use night shade" the room filled with pitch black darkness. I couldn't see anything and neither could Pikachu. The only one who was able to see was the one who used night shade. I could tell just by the feel of Glaceon that he was nervous and scared. I held him close and didn't let go.
I had an idea and called out "Pikachu use thunderbolt and aim everywhere opposite where you hear my voice" Pikachu used thunderbolt and the entire room was visible again as Pikachus lightning attack lite it up. Pikachu could see the Murkrow and shot the lightning bolt at the pokemon. The damage the other pokemon received was doubled because of lightning being Murkrows weakness and instantly fainted bleeding alot.
Murkrow was still able to fight but what happens next is up to Ariana. She yielded and accepted defeat gracefully. I was relieved that no more blood had to be shed however when I looked for Petrel, he was long gone. Glaceon relaxed and looked around. It didn't take me long to think of Josh, Sylveon and Mew. They were on the observation deck and that's where the best of the best was. I rushed to lend them my support with Glaceon and my Pikachu.
Meanwhile Josh was getting ready to show his opponent what he is really made of. Sylveon was ready to back him up at any given moment. The person Josh was facing had a white suit on and short blue hair. His name tag read Archer. I'm sure that Mew could feel how strong Josh really is. He may have witnessed Josh battle once but who's to say that was his true extent of what he can do?
