A/N: Sup. :D This is the last chapter! Thanks for sticking through with my story and putting up with my crappy updating. Also, thanks for reading and for the favorites and follows. Your reviews gave me a lot of ideas and they really helped with the story. Thank you! They really mean a lot to me. And of December 30 2013, before the publishing of the last chapter (which is this one), the view counts, favorites, follows and reviews:

View count: 15, 681 (Wow. Thanks!)
Follows: 29
Favorites: 22
Reviews: 70

A huge thanks to all these people!

Also, two chapters up in a day. Yay! :D

Now, let's continue with the story.

Dedicated to Stalker Evrdeen.

Disclaimer: I don't own TVD.

Elena leaned against the door way of the kitchen.

"Hey."

Stefan turned around. "Hey, how're you doing? I didn't hear you come down. Don't just stand there, sit down. You're weak after all that," he smiled at Elena, gesturing to the kitchen counter and returning his attention to the pancakes.

"Where's Damon?"

"He's gone out to get groceries. We're running low on supplies," Stefan replied.

"Oh," Elena replied, a little disappointed. She missed Damon. "What happened? Last night, I mean. I can't really remembered what happened."

"Three of us - Caroline, Damon and I - broke in Rebekah's house, or more like the extension of the house designed to hold captives in," Stefan answered, not turning back to look at her, but somehow managing to answer her question before it left her mouth. "No, we didn't get caught. I don't think she knows just yet. No worries, we'll deal with her when she comes looking for us."

So it Caroline had helped too. Elena didn't know that. "What about Bonnie? Is she alright? Are you all alright?"

"Yes, we are. Calm down, don't worry so much. You're weak right now. Eat up and I'll tell you the story," Stefan laid the last pancake on top of the plate nicely and set it down on the table. He took some maple syrup and butter out from the refrigerator and put it in front of Elena. "Would you like some jam?" Elena shook her head.

Stefan pulled out the chair next to her and laid the cutlery on her plate. She picked it up and dug into her pancakes. Sure, she was hungry but Damon's pancakes were nicer than Stefan's. Stefan waited until she was halfway through her first pancake when he started telling her the story of how they found out where she was but omitted out the fact that they had pretended and had almost made Rebekah a ridiculous deal. When Stefan was done with his side of the story, Elena proceeded to tell him what had happened and that she suspected that the bottle of water that was given her had been drugged to make her much more tired so she wouldn't try to resist the chains and escape.

Elena was long done with her breakfast. She got up and put her plate in her sink. Stefan got up, walking towards her, where she was still standing at the sink and whispered, "After all, I'm glad you're safe right now." He leaned in and closed his eyes, wanting a kiss from her. She bent backwards away from Stefan's lips since she couldn't move away when Stefan's hands were on her waist. "Stefan..." Elena uncomfortably stammered. Stefan opened his eyes, questioning her denial, "What's wrong, Elena?" He dropped his hands from her waist.

"I'm sorry, I'm just-"

"You still have feelings for Damon, don't you?" Stefan asked, a hint of anger in his voice.

"I'm just-"

"You do! Of course! I should've known! You're exactly like Katherine! Double-dating the Salvatores! I should've seen this coming. I'm such an idiot."

"Don't call yourself that-"

"If I'm not an idiot, what am I? A clown? A puppet that you play with?"

"No, don't jump to conclusions, Stefan!"

"I'm obviously not the one you're gonna choose when it comes to Damon and I, right?"

"Stefan, hear me out, please."

"Okay, okay! What?" Stefan huffed, his hair messier than usual from ruffling in frustration.

"After you left, for Damon's sake, I felt really lonely and upset, even though I respect your choice of saving your brother over being with me and I understand why you did that. And within that few months of you being gone and me spending time with Damon, I started losing the faith in you being able to come home safely without anyone else I care about being harmed in the process and I started believing that you didn't want me anymore and that you're better off with Klaus or Katherine! And throughout the time you were away, Damon was my only source of company and he understood me like no one else did-"

"Did I not understand you, Elena? Tell me what I'm doing wrong so I can be better than Damon! I love you, Elena! Why would you ever think that I wouldn't ever want you back?"

"Damon understands me in a different way than you, Stefan. He wants the best for me-"

"I'm the one who wants the best for you, not Damon!" Stefan threw his hands up in exasperation. "Do you not know that Damon wants you all for himself? He's selfish!"

"Look, Stefan, I'm not to be shared amongst multiple guys, that's why I love Damon! He gives me the security of not being mistreated! Especially when he's not drunk!"

"And when he's drunk?!"

"Stefan, you're not my father! Leave me alone! This is my choice and not yours!"

Stefan took a deep sigh. "Yes, you're right. I'm not your father. And not your boyfriend. I don't owe you anything." He turned to leave the kitchen. Elena took a deep breath of relief. She had decided to abort the mission to get her revenge on Stefan. She just wasn't up for it. She had already created a huge mess. Messing it up even more just meant more hatred being directed at her.

Elena picked up the dishes she had put in the sink earlier and turned the water on, soaping the dishes, hoping something would take her mind off the argument she had started. It's all your fault, you shouldn't have told him so directly that you didn't want him anymore.

Shoes trudged down the stairs heavily, heading towards the front door. Elena turned around to see Stefan dressed in his jacket with dark blue jeans and a light suitcase. "Where're you going, Stefan?" Elena panicked.

"Goodbye, Elena. I hope you find happiness with Damon. You won't see me anymore. I don't want to intrude on you and Damon's relationship."

"But where-?"

"I'm going to find Katherine. It's none of your business where I'll be going. Keep safe, Elena."

"Look, Stefan, I'm sorry, but you don't have to-"

The front door closed before she could finish her sentence. She let out a big sigh.

There, now are you happy? You not only just spoilt someone's day, you broke their heart. Again.

"Elena?"

Damon walked in his room where Elena lay on his bed, messaging Caroline and Bonnie. She looked up, squealed and ran over to hug Damon. "You're back!"

"Awwh, you missed me that bad?" he teased as Elena pecked him on the lips.

"Yes."

"Where's Stefan, by the way?" Damon asked. "He's supposed to be looking after you."

Elena looked down at her feet a little guiltily. "I... I had a fight with him. And then he left. He's going to find Katherine."

"Oh."

"You're not angry at me, are you?"

"No, not at all. My brother's just like that. He's always short-tempered especially when it comes to relationship problems. He's going to come back sooner or later, so don't worry about him. He always comes back."

"Would he be still be angry at me if he sees me next time? Say, a couple of years later?"

"I doubt so. Stefan could hardly keep his annoyance towards someone so beautiful like you, adding to the fact that he still loves you even if he doesn't show it or tell anyone."

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?" Damon laughed.

"For making your brother so upset and chasing him out of your house."

Damon broke into a fit of laughter. "You... you chased him...? I don't believe you."

"Literally."

"That, I believe you."

~THE END~

A/N: Thanks for sticking around! You guys are awesome and once again, thanks for all the reviews, favorites, follows and reads! I'm finally glad this story is over (sorry for those who were really attached to this story) because it's something off my brain, having to remind myself to try and write some more, keep it interesting and that a constant reminder that what a silly plot I have. Now you're thinking about my plot and saying, "this is so silly, why'd I even read this in the first place?" right? Heehee.

I'm also retiring from writing in this fandom because I've lost most of my interest in TVD, but not from beta reading. I mean, it's fun to beta read and stuff about an TV show and book that you used to be so interested in once in a while. It brings back memories and friends I hang out with just to talk about it. This may or may not be bad news to all of you, but farewell, TVD fandom. But I will be back. Someday. Don't worry, you'll probably still see me around. ^^

This is the last time I'm gonna say this: Give a review, please? And also, if you wanna, share this with your friends? I dunno... I'm just saying... *Throws teddy bears at the audience* Here, take my love. Yes, it comes in forms of teddy bears. :P

Take care, guys. Happy New Year, say goodbye to 2013. Okay, maybe it's not yet but it's soon. (: Have a good year ahead.

Bye. *hugs*

Things you may or may not want to read:

I'm currently in the YouTube fandom and I'm happy there. So if any of you enjoy watching gaming channels, I'm currently planning on a fanfiction of a YouTuber crossover to 'Reader' (aka YouTuber x Reader fanfictions). It's gonna be tough and lots of planning and thinking and effort would be put into it. I'm not sure when I'd be able to post it up, but it'd be on this account. I'm not gonna tell you who it is gonna be featuring. :P But if you look at my Tumblr account, you just might guess it right! Wait, that was a little too obvious, but whatever. It's not confirmed, but do keep a lookout for it! I'm really excited to start writing it!

If there're any requests for anything, like stories, fanarts, anything plausible, just drop me a message, yeah? If I can do it, I'd do it. (:
