Nate freezes for a second then his eyes narrow and he jumps away slapping Mello with the hand without the knife. He is about to speak but pauses with a smirk as he steps out of the way so Mello can see Gevanni again. He looks to BB and nods.
BB smirks widely and approaches Gevanni.
Gevanni's tries to struggle free or at least get away from the red eyed criminal.
Nate walks around to behind Mello. "Oh this will be a glorious show." He says with an evil purr. "Don't you think?"
Mello turns to Nate knowing they were more than likely going to kill Gevanni. "Please Nate don't do this. Just give me another chance and if I fail you can kill me and Gevanni. No struggle. Just give me another chance and if I manage to get you to see that I really do love you then you have to let go of Gevanni. He won't tell the team about this. Please Nate." He knows he needs to get the three to stop and he can turn them around. He stares into Nate's eyes at an angle since Nate's behind him.
Nate's eyes narrow. "We can't know for sure he won't speak about it or write it to them unless we take his vocal cords and his hands." He makes Mello face Gevanni by holding his head in position. "Watch closely. Watch as his death is your own fault." Nate smirks.
BB's smirk widens a little and he raises the knife to bring it down on Gevanni who has his eyes clenched tense.
"Watch Mihael Keehl." Nate almost whispers in Mello's ear and Mello's eyes widen.
A smirks widely and Nate also smirks as they continue to watch but Mello wants to look away only to find he can't.
Gevanni shuts his eyes tightly turning his head away from BB thinking it's the end for him.
BB starts to lower the knife to attack Gevanni.
Suddenly Thomas bursts into the room making everyone in the room freeze to look to him. "Those cops are headed this way! I saw them! Sneak out back and you'll find a truck there, the keys are in the glove compartment. You can escape using that. Hurry we don't have much time. I'll try to distract them. Go!" He then hurries out of the room.
BB growls and lowers the knife not striking yet. "We'll have to take them along and complete this at a new hide out." He grabs the blindfold they used on Mello before and blindfolds Gevanni. "A get me another blind fold and two gag's hurry. Nate make sure we leave as little trace as we can behind. We'll take care of getting these two into the truck. We'll regroup there." He tells Nate as A runs out of the room.
Nate nods in agreement. "See you guys there." He then races out of the room as well.
Meanwhile….
Thomas picks up the phone and is about to dial something when the team, except for L and Gevanni, burst through the door. He looks up and looks annoyed. "Well that's convenient." He snorts. "I was just about to call the police yet you come bursting into here." He puts the phone down.
Soichiro walks over to Thomas. "Too much evidence points to you hiding the three criminals we are looking for. You-" He is cut off by Thomas.
"Well I'll be. You seriously think I would hide criminals? The scum of this world!? What kind of world is this world coming to? I'll have you know." Thomas takes a few steps forward towards Soichiro. "That is something I would never do! Such an unthinkable and unforgivable thing!"
"Calm down sir." Rester tells Thomas. "We're going to look for the criminals and if they're not here you're cleared." He tells the store owner.
Thomas grunts. "You know I was just about to call about some strange noises." He snorts.
"Show us where these noises came from." Soichiro tells him.
Thomas nods softly and begins walking towards the back with the team following.
Meanwhile….
BB and A both get out to the truck first. BB carrying Mello and A carrying Gevanni; both of them tied up, blind folded and gagged.
It's a red truck that has front and back seats. It looks like it hasn't been used in quite a while and the rust is starting to form on it.
"Well that works." BB goes over to it opening the back door that's facing them and throws Mello inside then steps aside to let A throw Gevanni inside as well before shutting the door.
Nate comes out and goes over to A and BB who turned to him when he came out. "It's done." He confirms.
"Good job." BB messes Nate's hair. "Now let's get going."
The three of them rush around to get into the truck.
A taking the drivers, BB taking the passenger and Nate sits in the back with Mello who is laying on the seat also with Gevanni on the floor.
BB gets the keys from the glove compartment and hands them to A who takes them with a thanks.
A quickly figures out which one of the two keys on the small key ring is to start the car so he turns it starting the engine.
None of them have ever actually driven a car before but their smart so it won't be hard to figure out besides they have red books on it.
"Let's get out of here!" A says as he begins driving a little crazy as he's speeding to get away from the building but he gets out onto the road and drives a little better to not draw attention to themselves.
"Keep the windows up." B reminds them.
A and Nate nod in agreement as A continues to drive along the road.
BB turns to the window watching the city and all sorts of vehicles pass by.
Nate looks to Mello who is squirming trying to get free of his bonds. He watches this go on and grips Mello's arm to stop him. He finds his hand lingering there for a moment then he removes his hand and turns away from Mello. "Where shall we go now?" He asks A and BB.
"We'll need a safe place to be for the time being but we shouldn't leave to the city we talked about before. We need to do something about the two of them first." A explains.
"I have an idea. Plus it'll really stir up the team that is looking for them." B chuckles with pure evil and he turns to look at A with Nate in the edge of his vision.
Nate looks to BB and A. "Go on what is this idea of yours?" He asks interested.
"I'm interested as well." A agrees.
B looks to Nate then to A smirking happy to have a family that shares the same look on fun as him. "Well I was thinking we send a little message to the team just for some fun but not in the traditional way of course." He looks to Nate. "You can pick where and we'll make sure the team gets our message."
A laughs darkly. "Yes that sounds perfect."
Nate's voice is also dark. "That sounds like lots of fun."
"Blood will continue to be spilled and it won't be ours." B says turning to face forward again.
"Without a gun in our hands, we are not cowards hiding behind such a thing." A says.
"But with a knife so sharp and bloody with the blood of our victims." Nate continues from where A left off.
"For the knife is our weapon." B continues it heading towards the end of it.
The finish together speaking at the same time the best they can; their voices are all dark sounding. "The blood on our hands will never be washed away and we will continue what we love doing."
They all smirk while Mello and Gevanni tense getting the feeling that what the three said cannot lead to anything good maybe even the two's deaths.
Back with the team….
Thomas takes them into one of the spare bedrooms that look unused. "Outside of this room. Is where the noises were coming from." He lies.
Soichiro nods to Mogi, Ide and Ukita who nod and race away to check outside. Soichiro then turns back to Thomas. "We'll need to do a check around here in case they got in." He tells the store owner.
"I assure you I checked every room and they are not here." Thomas tells him. "You'll see I'm not lying." He crosses his arms over his chest while the rest of the team split up searching the rooms.
Soichiro stays behind to talk to Thomas. "We'll have one person patrol around here for a bit to make sure the three aren't hanging around here. If we find any evidence you've been hiding them then you'll be brought it for questioning along with the charge of helping criminals. The three are extremely dangerous."
Thomas nods. "I understand." He tells Soichiro.
Soichiro turns away when Halle re-enters the room along with Mogi. "Anything?"
They both shake their heads.
"None of us could find anything." Halle explains.
Soichiro nods. "Alright then we'll leave but each day at least one person must patrol the area. It at least seems like there's a chance they've set up a base somewhere by here. We'll continue searching for them but it doesn't seem there's anything else we can do here." He leads the way out with the team following behind him.
The three may have gotten away for now but they won't be able to run forever.
Light's P.O.V.
A small band sets up for a small night time dance that anyone can join before getting ready for bed.
I grab Ryuzaki's hand bring him up to stand with me.
He gives me a curious look tilting his head slightly in an adorable way.
I give him a smile and keeping our hands connected I bring him over towards where the people who are here for this started the slow dance.
He follows me and as soon as we reach the outskirts of the group I turn to him and get positioning us to dance. He even puts his hand on my shoulder but just as I start dancing with him he breaks away from me taking a few steps away. "I'm sorry. I don't dance." He tells me then turns away as if ashamed or shy. "I've never danced before." He says a little softly.
I smile lovingly and I walk over to him gently turning him around and getting us into position to dance again. "Then let me teach you." I tell him and I take the lead. "Follow my lead. You'll get the hang of it." I assure him as he looks a little unsure of himself.
He concentrates and follows my lead till we are dancing so smoothly as if we were professionals though between us I am the pro. He looks to my face as we continue to dance.
"See. I told you that you could do it." I encourage him. "You're like a professional already."
He blushes softly. "I'm not that good Light."
"Want to try a new step?" I ask him as to not scare him by suddenly doing it as he's never danced before.
He tilts his head softly. "What new step?"
"This." I let go of him for a second rising our joined hands up and I twirl him only for to bring him closer after. I bend him back slightly with me leaning over him; our bodies pressed together.
He has on foot back to stay balanced though I wouldn't let him fall anyways. He looks surprised and looks into my eyes. "At least thanks for the warning." He comments.
I smile with a soft laugh. "Of course." I bring him back to fully to stand and we continue dancing.
He smiles and lets out a small laugh as we continue sometimes we even do the twirl both of us enjoying ourselves.
As the song comes to an end I have him bent backwards a little again and we keep our eyes locked.
We both lean forward closing our eyes and seal our lips over each other's in a loving kiss.
I love the way his lips feel against mine, how soft they are and not to mention sweet… though I love everything about him. I feel my heart beat faster and my body heat up but with him around it's a normal thing for me.
We break the kiss and are lost in each other's eyes ignoring the people leaving around us as we only focus on each other.
"Ryuzaki I love you." I kiss his nose.
"Light… I love you too." He smiles at me and I smile back bringing him to a standing position again.
The night air flutters around trying to break our warm embrace with its cool touch but it cannot penetrate us as we stay in each other's arms.
The fresh green grass under our feet shivers softly as a light breeze falls upon it, a breeze that I only notice by the fact that my loves hair and clothes shiver in it as well.
The darkened sky above us makes the stars shimmer like diamond dust is frozen in place above us or maybe sparkles glued to the sky like an arts and crafts project. The moon is only a beautiful addition as it shimmers softly with the stars though brighter projecting a lovely glow down onto the earth below making the adorable man before me seem to glow like an angel.
I keep my attention focused on him.
The night is perfect… he is perfect.
Surely nothing could go wrong tonight. Yes nothing will go wrong.
As we stand here together basking in our love I wish deep within my heart that this perfect moment will never end.
He leans into me resting his head on my shoulder.
I kiss his forehead and keep my grip around his waist secure.

I am working on Near's sisters murder case and also Saving you, though I haven't posted Saving you yet I still am working on it so if I finish it I will post it for you guys cause I bet those who have seen the youtube trailer for it have been dying to read it.
