This is the last chapter! It's sort of like an epilogue, more than anything else. Sort of like a sum up chapter? It probably should've been done so long ago, but I just couldn't think of what I wanted to really say. Regardless, I hope you all enjoy.
Thank you so much, everyone who has continually reviewed, favorited, and followed this story. You're all so great and so kind. I know the story didn't turn out that great (not as great as I wanted it to, anyway), but it's been real! :) I really appreciate each and every one of you, and I hope I didn't disappoint you all too much.
Also, I was thinking of maybe doing a few little oneshot type things about life after the ending of this story, but that idea's still up in the air. (You know, about Logan's future adventures in college-land, the other boys possibly joining in college life, future friendship moments with Paul, etc.). If you like that idea, let me know, and maybe I'll do it! :) but like I said, the idea's still up in the air…
Anyway, story time! Enjoy your last chapter of College: The Good Life!
I own nothing you may recognize.
…
Things had ended up going to well with the boys, and Logan was ecstatic. They were all together again. They were friends again. Of course, he knew they wouldn't be as close as they were before, not for a while, but they had made some major progress, and that was amazing in itself.
After the hockey game plan that got the four boys talking once again, they had all gone to their favorite diner, as they did after every hockey adventure at the rink. The normalcy and the comfortable atmosphere helped the boys adjust to being back together. They hadn't played hockey and gone to the diner in months, though everything seemed to fall into place.
They joked around and laughed together, like things weren't hectic in their friendship just a few hours ago. That was until Logan began to tell the other three boys his side of the story. Of course, Carlos had heard it all before, but he listened just as intently as Kendall and James. They stayed quiet throughout the entire tale, and Logan told them everything.
Although they were still upset about the matter itself, Kendall and James realized that things weren't really Logan's fault. Not entirely anyway. He needed a friend at college, someone to vent to about things he couldn't talk to them about. He thought Krissy was that friend, and she put words in his mouth and betrayed him. They respected the fact that Logan hadn't done anything really wrong, and smiled and forgave him for everything that had happened.
The boys ended up having a massive sleepover in Kendall and James's room (which would soon be James and Carlos's once again, since the boys decided they'd be trading back rooms…Kendall just couldn't deal with James's nightly rituals), just like they'd been having since the third grade.
Logan and Paul had seriously crammed for finals, and it didn't go unrecognized. They both passed all of their finals with flying colors (and they wouldn't have expected anything less, with all the energy drinks and coffee they'd ingested while pulling their all-nighters every night in preparation, and sleeping all day in order to get their good 8 hours of sleep).
Logan realized that Paul was the truest friend he could possibly ever find in college, and Paul felt the same way about Logan. "You can't get crazy by pulling all-nighters and drinking shit loads of energy drinks with just anybody—you and that person are bros for life," Paul had said once finals were over and the two went back to his frat house for a celebratory drink (which turned into another celebratory drink…and another…and another…).
Carlos, Kendall, and James were invited to Paul's house as well, for the "FINALS ARE OVER, WE ACTUALLY SURVIVED, NOW LET ME DRINK TILL I PASS OUT FOR A WEEK" party that followed that night (The name was Paul's frat's idea…banners and poster board signs of proclamation for it were all over the place.). They each had fun, getting to know Logan's college friends, and especially Paul, who they invited to hang out at the Palm Woods later that week. It was a blast hanging out with everyone and partying into the night. Krissy obviously wasn't invited to join the festivities.
Throughout the party, Logan realized how truly lucky he was. He was going to one of the best schools in the country, training to be the doctor he'd always planned to be, and he had some pretty great people around him, to enjoy it with.
It'd been one hell of a semester, but Logan couldn't wait for the next one.
