The wall was built thousands of years ago to keep the evil out of the land. It was said that a demon came to the Earth to create Onslaught, this demon was said to have raised an army of the dead and brought hell onto the Earth. Thousands died as his army raided villages, killed anyone they could see and took as many girls as they could. They waged a war against the kingdoms and nothing stopped them. A sorcerer and a king found a weapon that could be used to stop this army, they used it to push the demon back into the land of always winter with his army. Then the king ordered a giant wall to be built to keep them out, he wanted to to touch the clouds so he could jump onto one….He died before it was built but the sorcerer made sure it was built. It took nearly a hundred years to finish and the sorcerer was still alive, nobody had seen him but he would hide in a cave. The rumours were that he had started worshipping the god of the dead and was one of them.
The Xaviers were given the responsibility of guarding the wall, they would send of soldiers from time to time so that they would guard the enemy on the otherside. They would have to protect the other side from Morlocks, savages and demons.
''How much of this is actual fact?'' Warren asked as he closed the book. He was in the library that consisted of a few books which were mainly about different ways to kill people and win wars but he managed to find a book about the history of the wall but it didn't make sense.
''What do you mean?'' Psylocke asked. She was sat at a table reading a book on restoring blades, she had read it a hundred time and would recite it in her sleep but it passed the time.
''Well this book said that a demon that brought Onslaught was cast into the land of always winter but….Always winter came about when Apocalypse tried to stop the Phoenix.'' Warren explained.
''It's a history textbook...It is not meant to be accurate.'' Psylocke replied. She then went back to reading her book but Warren started to admire her beauty or he just wanted to talk to another woman.
''So why do we have a wall?'' Warren replied. Psylocke rolled her eyes at him but he ignored that.
''Because we need one.'' Psylocke replied.
''But why?'' Warren asked as he sat next to her.
''Children ask that question all of the time even though they have no idea why…..You're a child.'' Psylocke replied.
''But what is the new answer?'' Warren asked.
''Because you need somewhere to jump off.'' Psylocke said as she got up to leave. Before she got a chance though the bell started to ring, the two looked around and Wade burst inside.
''We're under attack.'' Wade screamed. He ran outside and the two followed him.
As they walked out they could see all the watchers on the wall run desperately around to make sure that they were ready. The fires went up and the ballistas were armed.
''Psylocke get your throwing knives ready, you're going to be on the bottom level and I need you to be ready.'' Cable ordered as he loaded his crossbow, it was bigger than any of the other crossbows he had ever seen and the bolts were bigger than his arm.
''On it.'' Psylocke said as she ran off into the armoury.
''Angel I need you to get your wings from the armoury, you're going to circle from A-B and take down any of the undead that are climbing up the wall.'' Cable yelled.
''Wings?'' Warren asked.
''Did I stutter, to the armoury.'' Cable screamed at Warren, he then sprinted towards the armoury.
Warren ran into the armoury and looked around. There was a section for each person there so that they could keep their weapons. Warren found his spot and there were some wings already there. They seemed like they could handle the battle since they were made of strong wood and some light material. He clipped them onto him and picked up a bow, it was sturdy but their blacksmiths were the best.
Warren ran back onto the wall. He climbed onto point A which was just a wooden extension, point B was a hundred meters away. He looked down to see that Zarathos' army were charging towards the wall.
''Wade, bring up the chains.'' Cable yelled. Wade cut a piece of rope, several clogs had turned but the chains came up out of the ground, they were dripping wet and the soldiers were flung into the air or caught up in it.
''Burn it Angel.'' Cable ordered. Warren took out an arrow and lit it up, he fired it at one of the several chains. It went up in a green burst of fire which killed the burning undead. Warren watched the devastation and was kind of horrified.
''What are you doing Angel...Fly.'' Cable said as he pushed Warren further.
''How will I ignite them?'' Warren asked in a panic.
''A-B you fucking moron.'' Cable said. Warren lit up the arrow and jumped off the edge.
It felt unusual but it didn't feel like falling since the wings were actually working. He turned towards point B and started to soar through the air. He struggled to use his bow but managed to fire at a chain which caused a large green explosion. He started to go own but pulled himself up and the wings flapped. He flew towards point B and the soldiers there grabbed hold of him.
''Thanks guys.'' Warren said.
Zarathos walked up towards the wall. He noticed how several chains were going up in flames and started to laugh. He raised his arm into the air and the soldiers just stopped where they were.
''You are all sinners, all of you….Not one of you are innocent. My fire will burn you all.'' Zarathos yelled. He took out his chain and threw it at the wall, the chains increased on size and latched onto the icy side. He then used all of his might to pull down the wall. Giant blocks of ice and metal crashed onto the ground, you could see inside the wall and Zarathos had his entrance point.
''What the hell is going on?'' Cable yelled. He picked himself up and fired a shot at Zarathos but he caught the arrow before anything could happen.
''March my army, burn them all.'' Zarathos ordered. His army started to run towards the open gap whilst at the same time Zarathos continued to create more gaps.
The army of the dead started to charge into the gap and climb through the ice so they could get up, it was a difficult climb but they were struggling to do it. The hundreds of them still managed to swarm up there though and once they got into the wall insides they were causing hell. The soldiers were blocking off the key points whilst others were pouring down oil to stop the soldiers to get down.
''Son of a bitch.'' Psylocke said. She threw a knife at an undead soldier who managed to get through a locked door. He probably killed the soldiers before it was locked. More and more were getting through so Psylocke took out her swords. She sliced several down but was struggling since there were so many.
''Quack.'' Wade yelled as he ran towards her with his two swords.
''What?'' Psylocke asked as she sliced one through.
''QUACK!'' Wade screamed as he threw a small explosive bag at the undead enemies.
''Do you mean duck?'' Psylocke asked, she then got down and was pushed to the ground by an explosion. She took out several knives and threw them at the undead soldiers before they could get to her.
The two got their swords and started to kill any undead soldier that came near but they were getting tired, exhausted even.
Cable was still at the top with his crossbow firing as many arrows as he could at the undead soldiers. Warren landed on top of point A, he had finished setting fire to the chains. He was nearly out of arrows and needed more.
''Struggling?'' Warren yelled as he picked up some arrows from an open container.
''Out of arrows.'' Cable replied. He threw the crossbow to the ground and took out an axe.
''What now?'' Warren asked.
''Get blue spice pouches and fire several at the undead. The extra heat will make it burn, fire it into the areas that Zarathos has taken down but make sure green liquid is in a pouch.'' Cable ordered.
''On it.'' Warren yelled. He took out some arrows and then opened up a small door underneath which had all the pouches. He fixed them together and was ready to jump off.
''Good luck.'' Cable yelled.
Warren jumped off and flew past the opening. He fired the arrow at the gap which caused a huge explosion followed by a green after burst. He flew onto the edge and ran to fix another arrow. Warpath and X-23 were fighting in one of the gaps, they had been taken down by Zarathos but were ignoring the pain so they could fight.

Apocalypse had been watching from the distance with Sinister, they could see the devastation that was happening but they would not intervene.
''How do you think it will end?'' Sinister asked.
''With me taking down Zarathos.'' Apocalypse said. He then started to walk into the battle and disappeared into the crowd.
He had his hood over him but the undead soldiers did not see him. He walked through the fire and still nobody noticed him. He walked up to a distracted Zarathos who was ripping the ballistas from the wall. He grabbed hold of Zarathos and looked at him.
''Not very aware are you?'' Apocalypse asked as he looked at Zarathos.
''Such a fool…...Now burn.'' Zarathos said as he made more excess fire burst out from him, it started to blind Apocalypse and he was pushed back. Zarathos hit him with his chain but Apocalypse caught it and brought Zarathos towards him.
''Vengeance on the damned….How interesting.'' Sinister said as he was stood behind him. He used his magic to lift Zarathos into the air and Apocalypse took hold of Zarathos and forced his hand into his chest.
''Vengeance.'' Zarathos yelled but there was a bright burst of fire and then suddenly there who area was covered in smoke. Apocalypse was stood there with a fireball in his hand, Sinister was stood next to him. They were staring at an unconscious young man who was covered in blood.
''Shall I?'' Sinister asked.
''Leave him.'' Apocalypse said.

Warren was walking through the rubble of the batte. The undead soldiers had collapsed to the ground, they had now become ash and dust. He walked through the rubble and found Cable on the ground. He walked over to him and noticed that there was a spear wound in him.
''Died as you lived my friend.'' Warren asked as he looked at the dead Cable.
