"Leo!"

Leo was brought out of his meditation by Raph shaking him.

"What?!"

"You need to talk to her man."

Leo searched his red masked brothers eyes in confusion.

"What are you...ohhh. What happened?"

"That's the thing. I don't know, and she won't tell me because of what happened earlier."

"What-."

"Don't worry about it."

Leo sighed as he put out the incense. He knew Cristen was stubborn. Even if she really wanted to tell Raph what had happened, she wouldn't to protect her pride. That was one thing that the couple had in common. They didn't like to show weakness. And for Cristen that directly applied to her boyfriend.

"Thanks Leo." Raph said. "You know she'll only talk to you."

Leo was the only person that she would willingly cry in front of, especially after "the incident". Leo nodded at Raph before heading to the brunette's room. He knocked twice on the door and paused before knocking three more times fast. There was a sound from inside and then the lock clicked open. One ,slightly red, violet eye peeked out from the crack.

"Can I come in?"

She backed away from the door leaving it slightly ajar and Leo slipped inside. There was sad music playing softly from her phone in the corner and a few tissues were scattered on her bed. Cristen had made her way back onto her mattress where she pulled her blanket all the way up to her chin.

"Did Raph send you?" She asked in the voice she only used when she was sad or extremely tired.

"Depends. If I say yes will you still tell me what happened?"

"Who said that I was gonna tell you in the first place." She grumbled. Leo made his way over to the bed and sat down next to his friend. She looked at him and sniffed rubbing her eye with the heel of her palm.

"So this week is student elections."

"I didn't know that you were running."

"Yeah, well I didn't either."

Leo looked at her confused and leaned farther towards her.

"What do you mean?"

Cristen's face slowly changed from sad to angry as she explained what happened.

"Today during the assembly where all the candidates do their speeches my name was called for the position of student body president. Turns out these two bitches thought it would be hilarious to nominate me and got all of their mindless followers to get on board with it. I was so confused and next thing I knew I was standing in front of the entire school."

Angry tears had begun to fall down her face. Leo was pissed at this point but knew that he needed to stay silent until she finished.

"They know I have stage fright. I stood there like a deer caught in headlights just like they wanted. I ran off the stage terrified to the bathroom, where I proceeded to throw up from embarrassment. I gave them that power over me Leo."

She said the last sentence looking him straight in the eye and shaking her head like she couldn't believe it herself.

"I gave them that power and it makes me sick."

Leo defiantly has some choice words for those girls, but he refrained from voicing them and thought about it for a moment.

"Do these "bitches" happen to be the same ones that were involved with the cheese fries and gym clothes incidents?"

"Yeah."

Leo offered a smile.

"Well it seems to me, as cliché as it sounds, that they're just jealous of you."

"Psshh yeah right. Just because their daddies are rich they think they're hot shit." She then looked distantly into a corner of her room. "But they're really just cold diarrhea."

Leo had to stifle his laugher at that one, but at least he knew that she was feeling slightly better.

"No really, hear me out. Didn't you say they cake on their makeup and you were pretty sure one of them had a nose job?"

Cristen scoffed.

"Her nose did not look like that in 8th grade."

"Well then it probably kills them to see you everyday. Perfect grades, talented, and you're already pretty without all that extra stuff."

"Really? Cause yesterday you said I was a frizzy haired buttface."

Leo laughed.

"You know I was just messing with you. I'm not saying that you don't have a good personality, but there's a reason why Raph is completely in love with you."

Cristen bit her lip and glanced toward her door. Leo followed her gaze.

"He worries about you, you know."

"I know, and I love him for that...it's just...when it comes to certain things...more delicate things."

"I get it." Leo said. "And he'll get better with it, but until then you always have me."

She smiled softy at him.

"Thanks best friend."

"You're welcome best friend."
