Prompt: "I would love to see Sarah-Jane!" — dark-thyme-lord

Prompt: "Could you maybe do one where Donna and Jack are only a few days old and the Doctor becomes super protective? I can just see it happen." —Whovian9403

Prompt: "The twin should meet Sarah Jane Smith. Say, the Doctor and Rose go on a date and she takes care of them." —Laurel Clary Sparrow

A/N: Your wish is my command! We'll kick off the continuation of new material with a much–requested character. I hope I did her justice!

Disclaimer: I just own the twins. Everything else is BBC.

A/N: Huh, looking back, the twins use the word "fantastic" a lot more than I had originally intended… Well I guess y'all can tell who my Doctor is then XD

Rose looked like she hadn't gotten any sleep in days, poor girl.

"Rose, I got your text," Sarah Jane Smith said, "I made you lasagne."

"Thank you so much!" Rose Tyler looked as if she was going to break down right there in the doorway. "It's been five days, Sarah. Five. Days. They don't even move and he's got pillows all over the bloody flat."

"What?"

"I love him but I think I'm gonna strangle him," Rose laughed, if a bit hysterically.

"So it's not even the twins keeping you up..." Sarah Jane smiled.

"He's so excited, he's so good with them," Rose said, "But he just doesn't stop!"

"And you needed food because–?" Sarah Jane prodded.

"We don't have any," Rose explained. "He seems to think he can go longer without food– but maybe I'll just forcefeed him."

Sarah Jane laughed a bit. "You two are the strangest couple I've ever met– you know, in a good way," she added an afterthought.

"We're the strangest couple I've ever met, too," Rose nodded in agreement.

Just then, Rose's husband peeked his head around the corner. He was wearing a green army helmet, and smiled when he saw their neighbor. "Oh, hallo!"

"Hello, Doctor!" Sarah Jane called. She wasn't sure why Rose called him Doctor instead of John Smith, which was his name, but apparently he preferred that, so she went with it.

Rose turned around. "Why are you wearing that?"

"Wanted to match the twins."

"Why–?" Rose didn't bother to finish her question, and instead buried her face in her hands. "We're you like this back on Gallifrey?"

"Uh... No."

"Well I guess I'm just special, then," she said sarcastically.

"You are special, Rose," the Doctor said sincerely.

Rose sighed, picking her head up and brushing her hair out of her face. "It's really hard to stay mad at him," she confided in her friend.

"I can see," Sarah Jane laughed.

"You can come in if you want," Rose offered, "I don't know what state the flat is in after leaving him fourty seconds alone."

"How about a nice cup of tea?" Sarah Jane suggested as Rose lead her to the kitchen.

Rose sighed. "That would be fantastic."

Sarah Jane poured the steaming tea into her and Rose's cups. "Are you feeling alright? Really?"

Rose nodded. "Yeah, I just need a breather. Thank you," she said as Sarah Jane handed her the cuppa. "I just... I hope we get this right, y'know? The Doctor thinks he knows what he's doing, and he usually does, and I..." she sighed. "I'm glad I've got him with me. Even if I have to wake up a five in the morning. Earlier. Why are we up at five?" Rose took a sip of tea.

Sarah Jane just smiled and listened. She didn't know the full story of the couple who had moved in just a few months earlier, but she never doubted their love. They seemed to trust eachother completely. They would bend, but they wouldn't brake. But sometimes everyone needs a cuppa with a friend and a homemade lasagne that you didn't have to cook yourself.

"Why don't you ask your mum for help?" Sarah Jane suggested.

Rose nodded. "That's a good idea. Why didn't I think of that?"

Sarah Jane laughed. Rose laughed with her.

That was when the Doctor came in, balancing Jack in his right arm and Donna in his left. "Why is it whenever I walk in on you two you're laughing about something?"

This just made Rose laugh harder.

"Is this them?" Sarah Jane asked, reaching to take the little girl from the Doctor. "They're so sweet!"

"This is Donna Gallifrey Tyler," the Doctor said, handing the baby over, "And John Smith Tyler– the Second, I suppose."

"Oh, she's precious," Sarah Jane beamed down at the little Donna. "She's got your eyes, Doctor."

"That she does," the Doctor acknowledged, nodding. He moved over to sit beside his wife.

"She got your ears too," Rose smiled.

"What?" The Doctor frowned, bouncing Jack in his arms.

"When I first met you, remember?" Rose elaborated. "You had these humungous ears."

"Oh, yeah," he grinned. "Thought I was rid of those for good."

"I guess not," Sarah Jane laughed. "Maybe she'll grow out of them, too."

Rose and the Doctor looked at each other.

"Maybe," the Doctor left it at that, smirking. "So, what brings you here, Sarah?"

"Rose texted me," Sarah Jane said.

The Doctor looked frantic; he thought he'd had it all under control, had he missed something? "Why? Did you need something? I could've gotten it–"

Rose laughed. "Slow down!"

"Oh, slow down, right, sorry, I got it, don't… I'll shut up now."

Rose laughed again, laying her head on his shoulder. "You don't have to shut up. It's okay. It's just been a little…"

"Chaotic?" Sarah Jane supplied.

"Yeah," Rose nodded, smiling.

"So she texted you–"

"'Send help and food,'" Sarah Jane quoted.

The Doctor gasped. "Food! For us! Oh no…"

"'S okay, Sarah Jane brought lasagne." Rose said.

"Thank you," he said.

"Oh, it's no trouble," Sarah Jane coddled baby Donna. "That's a lovely name, Gallifrey. What's is mean?"

"Uh," the Doctor frowned. "I'm not sure."

"Just liked the sound of it?" Sarah Jane asked.

"Something like that," he shrugged.

Donna reached up and grabbed a lock of Sarah Jane's hair in her tiny fist, curious.

The Doctor grinned. "Donna, meet your godmother."

Sarah Jane looked up in shock. This was the first she'd heard of this. "I'm sorry?"
