'Thinking'

Digivolving (New Digimon)

Thanks to anyone that put my story or myself onto a favourite author list or favourite story list or an updating list, I appreciate the love.

Aqua Burst 07 – Thanks for the comment. It has been so long since I updated. I want to finish this story so bad. I have most of the kinks worked out. My goal is to keep the Yugioh cast away from the Digimon cast unless needed like the with training I have planned.

A/N – I am very happy that I finally have a new chapter to put out. My goal is to have the next chapter out within a few months or less. Thank you all for not nagging on me.

Reminder I DO NOT own Digimon in any way shape or form unless you count my imagination. Also, I am NOT a grammar person so there WILL be mistakes.

Other than that, enjoy my AU story of Digimon Season 2.

Takuya relaxed on his bed as she thought back to what happened today, 'First we have some government group tracking us down like we're criminals. Then I get into a fight with Amy during our training section. But what I can't wrap my head around was when I saw Tai's birthmark. I felt both ready to fight and ready to run at the same time.'

"I felt it too." Agnimon's voice broke Takuya out of his thoughts.

"Oh, you heard me?" Takuya asked the Digimon sitting in the center of his room. Takuya moved into a sitting position on his bed. He rested against his headboard.

Agnimon opened his eyes, "You thought it loud enough for me to hear it. I feel like I've seen something like that mark before."

Takuya nodded, "I wonder if anyone else felt that way about that birthmark?"

Davis absentmindedly kicked his soccer ball around on his bedroom floor, "Today was something else, huh V?"

V-mon nodded, "I feel like we should call Amy and ask her about that mark on Tai's arm."

Davis stopped kicking the ball and looked over at V-mon, "Why?"

"I just feel like that mark is going to mean something bad." V-mon replied.

"But Tai-san is on our side." Davis told V-mon.

V-mon nodded, "I know but something about that mark has got my blood boiling."

"Alright V." Davis got to his feet, "I'll see if Amy knows anything about that mark." He made his way out of his room, "Hey Jun?" V-mon got up and followed his partner.

Jun looked up from her spot on the couch, Wizardmon also looked over. "Yes?"

"Do you know if Amy is doing anything tonight?" Davis asked.

Jun looked at the clock, "The Tamers are going to have a meeting in five minutes over webcam. Other than that I don't know her plans. Why?"

"Oh, V-mon and I have a question for her." Davis explained. "You see Tai-san has a birthmark on his arm and V-mon has a weird feeling about it and we were wondering if Amy knows anything about it."

Jun looked at her brother with pure confusion, "What?"

Davis sighed, "It makes sense to us."

Jun shook her head to clear her thoughts, "Alright." She got up from the couch, "I'll open the webcam."

"Thank you, Jun." Davis thanked his sister. Wizardmon, V-mon, and Davis followed Jun into her room.

Jun typed her password into her computer and set up her Skype account, she called Amy. Jun turned to Davis, "Want me to stay or go?"

"It is your room." Davis asked.

Amy answered the call within a few rings, "Hey Purple, Wizardmon." She noticed the other two, "Hey Miracles, V."

"Hey, Amy I have a question about Tai's birthmark." Davis asked, uncharacteristically straight to the point.

Amy sighed, "It seems that it's not just individuals with dragons' kas and magic users are called to help out the Digi-World. Tai is something we call a Hunter. A Hunter finds magic and destroys it. They mostly go after dragons. Tai's birthmark is a mark of a Hunter."

"Will he try and hurt us?" Davis asked.

"I don't believe Tai even knows he's a Hunter." Amy ran her hand through her hair, "From what you told me Tai has been nothing but nice and helpful to you." She lends back in her chair.

Jun looked at Davis's paling face and back to Amy, "What happens when Tai finds out he destined to try and kill half of the chosen kids!?"

Impmon popped into the screen, "If he tries anything we put him down."

Amy glared at the back of Impmon's head, "Emerald!"

Impmon turned to look at Amy, "What the Domino kids and their Digimon are in the living room right now deciding what to do if Tai snaps."

Amy sighed and looked back to Jun, Wizardmon, Davis, and V-mon, "We are debating on either telling Tai so he does not snap or not telling him so he does not snap. Both have pros and cons."

"They both have the same outcome." Jun pointed out.

Amy nodded, "Which is the outcome we are trying to achieve but none of us know Tai that well and we're trying to find the best option to avoid Tai snapping."

Jun shook her head at Amy, "What are we going to do about Tai?"

"We are trying to find out the best way to deal with this without Tai going crazy." Amy sighed. "We need to talk with the only other Hunter we know."

Davis took a deep breath, "Tai will not hurt us."

Amy smiled, "Keep up the hope Miracle."

Mokuba entered Amy's room, "Amy we have to go over a few more things before the Tamers meeting starts." He noticed the small group on screen, "Oh. Hello everyone."

"Mokuba." Jun answered for the Digimon and her brother.

Amy focused on Jun, "I'll keep you updated on what we decide."

Jun bit her lip, "Alright."

"Bye for now." Amy smiled at the group as she ended the call.

Impmon turned his attention on Amy, "We'll find the way."

"I know Emerald." Amy smiled and got to her feet, "Come on the others are waiting for us."

Jyou looked around at the others. The original DigiDestines called a meeting after the events of today. 'First, we get interrogated by the government, then we go off to train, and then Amy snapped but Tai losing his cool. It's been a long since Tai lost his temper like that.'

Sora marched over to Tai, "Tai do you mind explaining about what happened today?"

"What specifically Sora?" Tai remarked.

Sora narrowed her eyes at Tai's tone, "Oh the moment where you almost punched Amy and Takuya."

"I was not going to hit them." Tai commented as he relaxed against the nearby tree.

Sora huffed at Tai, "Really Tai?"

Tai just shrugged.

Sora rolled her eyes, "Something changed today with you Tai."

Tai crossed his arms over his chest, "Sora some government group is after us. Of course, something changed today. This is the first time we have an enemy that is human."

"Tai's right." Matt spoke up, "We have a human group after us and that's a first. We also have two other groups joining us that we barely know anything about."

"Hey." Ken spoke up.

"Sorry I'll rephrase." Matt held up her hand to calm Ken, "We don't fully know what challenges the other groups have faced and the fresh faces are still green."

Izzy looked up from his laptop, "Gennai can't contact us for six weeks. We can't even get his input on this government group."

The three youngest sat down on a park bench, TK got to her feet, "Guys whatever this group is up too we will find out and overcome it."

Kari nodded, "We'll figure out what this government group wants with us and we'll figure out a way to defeat the new group of evil in the Digi-World."

"I did some digging." Izzy spoke up, "This government group is so underground they're almost black market web stuff. But they do seem very fixated on the Digital World and the Digimon."

"We should see what the others managed to gather about this government group." Mimi spoke up for the first time that night. "I can't believe we had to leave the Digimon at home." Mimi looked down at the ground, "Even if it was for their safety. But they are good they're not bad. They would never hurt anyone."

"Wait a minute." Ken spoke up, "That head guy mentioned something about tracking our Digimon. How are we going to stop that?"

Izzy's crest started to glow, "I am working on a way to stop those government agents from tracking our Digimon. I am trying to cloak the Digimon so that only our digivices for all the teams are the only things that can locate our Digimon."

"What about any other Digimon that could sneak past Gennai's gate?" Jyou asked.

"I'm trusting Gennai's gate to keep out every Digimon that is not already here." Izzy took a deep breath and let it out, "But one thing at a time."

"Izzy, just make sure you get some sleep." Jyou pointed out.

Matt nodded, "Yes Izzy get to bed at a reasonable time."

Izzy smirked at his friends, "Yes Mom and Dad."

TK and Mimi burst out laughing. Jyou crossed his arms, "Young man don't make your mother and I take away your laptop."

Matt put her hands on her hips, "Listen to your father mister."

Soon everyone was laughing. They enough that no matter how bad things could get that they had each other's back. Both the Evil in Hell and the Government Group better watch out.

Noah looked around at the others, "So we watch Tai for the time being and see what happens. That is a big plan?"

"It is the best option for the time being." Mikey replied.

"I'm not too happy with it," Rebecca spoke up, "but it is the best option for now. We really need a backup plan for when Tai figures everything out."

"Which is tomorrows problem. After we talk with Tristen." Mokuba got to his feet, "But right now Amy and I have a meeting with the Tamers."

Amy nodded, "Yes. And we all agreed to tell them right?"

"Right." The others nodded.

"Good." Amy smiled, "Because I already told Jun, Davis and their Digimon because they asked."

"And you waited until now to tell us that?" Noah scoffed at Amy, "Typical."

"Love you too." Amy winked at Noah. "Now get out of my place."

Mikey rolled his eyes, "See you at school tomorrow."

Amy smiled at Mikey, "See you guys later."

Once the others left, Amy, Mokuba, and their Digimon went into Amy's room to call the other Tamers for their meeting.

Yutaka looked down at his watch, "Time for the meeting." He got to his feet. "You got the remote." He passed the object to his brother.

Tommy looked over at his brother, "Nii-san?"

Yutaka stopped to look over at his brother, "Yes?"

"Do you think…" Tommy trailed off as he shifted in his seat, "Do you think that everyone will get along?"

Yutaka hummed, "Give it time." Yutaka looked at his D-Arc, "Everyone has their own idea on how to take down this threat. We just need to communicate our ideas and hear each other out. We will fight it out."

Tommy shared a smile with his brother, "Thanks, Nii-san."

Cody sat on his bed, lost in thought. "I can't believe what happened today."

Upamon jumped over to rest in Cody's lap, "It's alright Cody."

Cody nodded but couldn't help but think back to when he got home.

Cody put Upamon into his backpack before unlocking the front door, "I'm home."

His mother came rushing out of the Livingroom, dropped down to pull her son into a bone-crushing hug, "Iori I'm so glad you're safe."

"Mom?" Cody barely managed to gasp out.

"Do you know how worried I was?" his mother pulled back to look Cody in the eyes, "I got a phone call that a gas leak happened in your school and your Father phoned telling me that you went missing. I know you phoned me to let me know you were hanging out with your friends but still."

Cody lost his breath, "Mom."

With tears in her eyes, Cody's mother pulled her son into another hug, "I thought I lost you."

"I hated lying to Mom." Cody confessed to Upamon.

Upmon hummed, "One day you can tell her."

"Dad and Grandpa too." Cody pulled Upamon into a hug.

Oikawa looked up from his files to look over at Officer Hida, who decide to come to his office even though they agreed to meet tomorrow, "Did you figure out anything about the gas leak?"

Officer Hida glared at Oikawa, "We both know there was no gas leak."

Oikawa sighed in defeat, "What do you know?"

"I saw your boss Yamaki at the school." Officer Hida crossed his arms over his chest.

"Yamaki is not my boss." Oikawa counted the point.

"Regardless." Officer Hida went into full cop mode, "He was talking about Wild Ones. What are these Wild Ones? And what do they have to do with three schools getting gas leaks on the same day at the same time?"

Oikawa closed his file, "Do you know about the electrical surges?" Oikawa waited for his friend to nod before he continued, "Remember when we were kids and we found that world full of monsters online?"

"What does that have to do with anything?" Officer Hida asked.

"Well, when you went into law I wanted into computer science." Oikawa tried not to smile as he spoke, "I spent my life trying to find that world of monster again. And four years ago that world came into our world." Oikawa pulled out a file and opened it, the images and information were about the terrorist attack in Odaiba, "You were in the hospital at the time but monsters came and attacked not people. The electrical surges are digital monsters coming over."

Officer Hida looked at his friend with worry, "Oikawa."

"I'm not crazy." Oikawa smiled, "Those monsters are real and in our world. They partnered with a group of children."

Officer Hida rolled his eyes, "We found some online game."

Oikawa smiled, "There is a real digital world. I can't give you all the details because you're a cop and you don't believe me."

Officer Hida got to his feet, "I'll try talking with you tomorrow. When you get some sleep."

WarGreymon landed at the edge of a lake, "Garu got up."

WereGarurumon hummed, "Five more minutes."

"No, we're here." WarGreymon released his grip on his fusions partner's legs.

With a thunk, WereGarurumon woke up, "Ow Grey." WereGarurumon looked up from his spot on the ground to glare at WarGreymon.

WarGreymon knelt to help WereGarurumon up, "Sorry."

WereGarurumon accepted the help, "You always know how to get under my fur."

Before WarGreymon could say anything the water in the lake part, "They must be waiting for us."

"They are clairvoyants after all." WereGarurumon commented as the two made their way down the path.

Gennai turned to Bokemon and Neemon, "Please act respectfully in front of the Royal Knights."

"I'm always respectful." Neemon smiled at Gennai.

Gennai sighed, "Please."

WereGarurumon opened the door for the pair, "Prophets are you here?"

Gennai walked over to the fusion partners, "Welcome. I am Gennai. Please come in Omegamon."

WarGreymon put his hand on WereGarurumon's shoulder, "We're not really Omegamon anymore."

"Nonsense." Gennai smiled at the pair, "You are the Royal Knights second-in-command regardless of what form you take."

"I must thank you for the kind words." WereGarurumon spoke for the two, "Please tell us what happened after our fall."

Gennai gestured to the Livingroom, "Please take a seat. The tale is a tough one."

WarGreymon looked around as the three made their way to sit, "Where are the other Prophets?"

"I am the last." Gennai confessed. "A lot has happened since the New Demon Lords rebelled."

"I'm sorry." Both WarGreymon and WereGarurumon spoke as one as both sat down.

Gennai smiled weakly at the pair, "It was a long time ago." Gennai sat down across the fusion partners, "I'll start from the beginning."

"After you were split up and divided, the Devas, the New Demon Lord's generals, along with one of the New Demon Lords Darcmon planned an attack on the mainland. Magnamon had already returned to the Royal Knights so that only left Lucemon and the Warriors Ten. Lucemon and the Warriors Ten put up a fight but the Devas trapped them all into a sub-pocket of the Main Land.

"The Devas retreated with Lucemon's Crest of Pride now owned by Darcmon to the battle in Hell. The rest of the New Demon Lords planned an attack on the Demon Lords. The Demon Lords call in for the Royal Knights help. Beelzemon and Magnamon fell through a tear in the Digital World and fell into Purgatory. As Yggdrasill trapped the battle in Hell into a sub-pocket he also called into the Digital World five human children.

"Yggdrasill's goal with bringing human children was to find out if the bond between Digimon and Human can overcome the power the New Demon Lords possess. The first five, the Tamers completed their mission. Yggdrasill saw the power created by those bonds, and he wanted more."

"The new group," WarGreymon spoke up when Gennai took a pause in the story, "TK and them? The ones with Magna's Crests."

Gennai nodded, "Yggdrasill believes that Magnamon's true power will come forth with the combined strength of the DigiDestines, the group with the Crests. When Yggdrasill saw the power, he planned to have the Warriors also bond with humans.

"It took years for those in the Digital World but to the human world it was only three years and the DigiDestines come into the battle. The DigiDestines protected Purgatory and their own world before having to leave because the portal to the human world can only be opened for long.

"Two human years happened before Yggdrasill found the humans that would be partnered to the Warriors Ten. Sadly, only six of them managed to come into the Main Land of the Digital World. The Six managed to free all the Warriors Ten and Lucemon before having to leave.

"Now the Tamers, DigiDestines, Warriors Ten with all ten having human partners, Magnamon's partner, Lucemon's partner, and two key holders are gathered together to fight the New Demon Lords in Hell."

"Lucey has a human?" WereGarurumon gave a weak chuckle, "Really?"

Gennai managed a weak smile, "Yes. There was a small change that it would happen but there was still the possibility of it."

"What are the key holders?" WarGreymon asked.

"Two of the three new DigiDestines, Magnamon's partner being the third human, only got the call a few weeks again. They only need to be called at this time." Gennai answered the unspoken question, "The two have no Crests but have the traits of the Crests. They have the power to unlock the gateway to the sub-pocket in Hell."

"They don't know that yet do they?" WereGarurumon crossed his arms.

Gennai shook his head, "Magnamon needs the time to heal. After falling into Purgatory, and losing his Crests he only just finished healing."

"Oh shit." WarGreymon put his head in his hands.

"What is it, Grey?" WereGarurumon put a hand on WarGreymon's shoulder.

"I threaten to kill Magna." WarGreymon looked over at WereGarurumon, "Magna."

WereGarurumon pulled WarGreymon into a hug, "Hey you didn't know."

"Magna." WarGreyon looked down at the floor, "The sweetest Digimon every."

"Which is why he will forgive you." WereGarurumon pointed out.

"Ulforce is going to kill me." WarGreymon relaxed into his seat, "I'm dead."

WereGarurumon offered Gennai a weak smile, "This may take a while."

"I understand." Gennai got to his feet, "It's late anyway. Please make your self at home. We'll continue taking in the morning."

"Thank you." WereGarurumon smiled at Gennai.

Akira looked around the school grounds, 'It's like nothing happened yesterday.'

"Morning."

Akira turned to see Jun, "Morning."

"So Akira what do you think of what happened yesterday?" Jun asked as the two fell into a rhythm as they walked towards the school.

"Courage still needs to be dealt with." Akira confessed.

Jun nodded, "I know he would never hurt anyone but…" Jun trailed off.

Akira nodded, "I get what you're trying to say."

"I'm so worried for Davis." Jun pulled out her D-Arc.

Akira put his hand on Jun's shoulder, "Davis is strong. Everything will work out with Courage. Just wait and see. Please have patience."

"Easier said than done." Jun huffed, "I wish Amy would tell Tai about what he is."

"They're waiting for the best time." Akira stopped walking, making Jun also stop walking, "Amy and the other magic people know about this Hunter thing better than us."

"I trust Amy." Jun looked out the nearby window, "I need Tai to prove his trust again."

"Fair enough." Akira offered Jun a smile.

Jun giggled, "Just think only a week ago we were just classmates."

Akira laughed, "A week ago you were a fangirl to my Rockstar self."

Jun scuffed, "I was never your fangirl."

"Ouch." Akira looked mocked hurt, "You hurt my manly feelings."

"They'll heal." Jun and Arkia shared a smile as they headed off to class.

Kari walked over to the younger DigiDestines, "Hey guys."

"Kari are you okay?" Yolie asked, "You looked a little run-down."

Kari all but collapsed beside Cody, who was the only one on the bench the group had surrounded, "Somethings off with Tai." Kari looked at the group, "I could sense something close by last night."

Ken knelt in front of Kari, "Does Tai know?"

Kari shook her head, "It's like he's in some other world."

"Does it feel like the Dark Spore that Piemon had?" TK asked Kari. Davis immediately noticing TK's discomfort reached out and held her hand.

Kari hummed, "It's not like Piemon's Dark Spore." Kari took a moment before continuing, "It's very similar to when we faced the Dark Masters and Tai was angry about Matt, Mimi, and Jyou leaving."

Davis looked at the group, 'What should I do? They don't know Tai is a Hunter and it's causing them stress.'

The school bell broke through the air, "Better head off." Cody pointed out.

The group waited for Kari to nodded in agreement, "We should get going." The group parted ways for the morning.

Sora looked around her class, 'Funny how the five grade eights are all in the same class.' Sora focused on Tai, 'Something is up with Tai. His behaviour reminds me of when we were divided when battling the Dark Masters.'

Matt held her crest in her left hand as she took notes, 'What is happening that caused the bonds we created to break?"

Amy looked at her classmates during lunch break, "So we're finishing food before talking with Tristan right?" Amy took a bite of her lunch.

"Yes." Noah sighed, "It's nothing to rush over to the High School about."

"I really hope that Tai will calm down." Rebecca commented, "He seemed really angry about yesterday."

Mikey nodded, "Yeah. But Tristan was never angry like that."

"He was a little bit." Mokuba spoke up, "But it was mostly about Joey-nee-san dating Nii-san."

Amy chuckled, "Yeah that was funny."

Tristan Taylor looked around his group of friends; all of them amazing in their own right. Some of them survived being trapped from thousands of years in mystical imprisonments, some of the successful businesspeople, some of them great healers, some of them powerful dragons, but all of them are masters or close to masters in the art of magic. So, what does that make him? Why does this group of mystical power include him? Just some run of the mill guy that blends into a crowd. Well why people pay attention to the rest of the group, Tristan keeps an eye out for danger. You see what a lot of people overlooked Tristen as being the weak link of the group he is arguably the strongest.

Hear this out before you scoff off the fact. Tristen Taylor is a Hunter, within his mind is the knowledge to destroy magic and everyone that uses it. His body is a living weapon when it comes to magical creatures. Yet he is friends with a group of magical users. Well the reasoning for this is Hunters, they hunter obviously, but what a lot of people do not know is that hunters also protect their prey from other hunters. You see Tristan protects the group from other hunters wishing to hurt his friends. No one ever notices him so he locates the threats and stops them.

Tristan noticed the door to the classroom opening before the others. The magic users allowed themselves to relax when Tristan was around. Tristan smirked as the youngest members of their group came into the room. "Hello." Rebecca greeted the older students for the youngest students.

"What brings you guys over to this end of the school?" Yugi asked for the group.

Amy sighed, "We have a Hunter in our new group."

The older students went quiet. Tristan nodded, "So that's the strange energy I've been getting off of you five. I was under the impression it was just static from your digital journeys."

"Has the Hunter hurt you?" Ryou asked.

"No." Mokuba spoke up, "He was calm up until our training yesterday when there was an altercation. Which is when he got angry."

"What kind of altercation?" Kaiba looked at Amy and Noah.

"It's was not with me." Noah held up his hands in defense.

Amy pouted a bit, "I was training the new dragon when the new flame user came over and wanted a fight. I won but he did not take it well. I dealt with it and that was that. But the Hunter did not like how I dealt with it."

"We're guessing that when Amy released her Ka in front of the Hunter it woke up his Hunter side." Rebecca concluded.

"Backup for a second." Baraka spoke up, "What was this altercation and how did you deal with it?"

Mokuba glared out the window, "Such dishonour."

"As I was walking away Flame hit me over the shoulder with his bow staff." Amy put his hand over Mokuba's, "I got angry and scared him a bit. I never hurt him and no I don't need you guys to deal with him. Given the fact that I attacked and released my dragon Ka it woke up the Hunter's hunter side. Nothing happened but we still need Tristan to talk with him." Amy looked at the male in question, "If you don't mind."

Tristan smirked, "It's no problem. Can it wait until Saturday or do you want it done asap?"

The youngest members of the group looked at each other and whispered within the group of five. Mikey spoke up for the five, "Saturday should be fine but we'll let you know if anything changes the schedule."

"Thank you for the help." Rebecca thanked Tristan for the group of five.

Tristan smiled, "It's no problem. I'm glad I could help."

"We should be off." Noah spoke up this time, "Lunch is almost over."

Shinya looked over at Tommy, who is sitting behind him as the two ate lunch together, "Do you think the groups will get along?"

Tommy finished his bite of food before answering, "Onii-chan said that we have a lot of different styles of getting the job done but we just need to communicate them to each other and everything will work out."

Shinya nodded, "That makes sense."

Takuya sat down beside Yutaka, "So any word from Amy about Tai's behaviour yesterday?"

"Blunt as always." Yutaka sighed, "Amy-nee-san told the Tamers that have an idea as to why Tai is acting the way he is but." Yutaka paused as he looked around seeing who was listening in, "It's a complex topic that I don't fully understand. For what I understood, Tai is also not normal, he has powers in a sense of the word, Tai is territorial with his friends and he is seeing Amy-nee-san as a threat." Yutaka looked at Takuya, "Amy-nee-san has a plan and I trust it."

Takuya sighed, "Alright. I'll leave it alone. I'll ask her later for a not abridged version."

"Good." Yutaka nodded.

Tai made his way over to the middle school section, 'I need to see Kari and make sure she's alright. She was a little distraught this morning.'

Akira and Jun followed Tai down the hall, making sure to keep their distance. "He won't attack the others."

Jun nodded, "I know. I'm still worried about Davis regardless of Amy telling me that he would not hurt Davis."

"Fair enough." Akira pulled Jun back when Tai looked like he was going to turn around.

Matt and Sora followed the pair following Tai, "What is going on with everyone?" Sora asked Matt.

"I wish I knew." Matt truthfully answered, "I have a feeling that Akira and Jun know but they are not telling us."

"Why is it that no one is telling everyone everything." Sora sighed in annoyance.

"Which is just another thing at add to the list of things that need to be discussed on Saturday." Matt remarked.

Davis turned to the door before it even opened. TK, Ken, and Kari stopped mid-conversation to look at Davis.

"You okay?" Ken asked Davis.

The door opened revealing Tai. Davis turned away from the door, "I'm fine."

Tai walked over to the foursome, "Hey do you mind if I talk with Kari for a minute?"

"It's fine." TK shook her head and offered a smile to Tai.

Kari sighed, "Alright." She got up from her seat and followed her brother out into the hall.

TK put her hand on Davis's shoulder, "Are you okay?"

Davis avoided looking at TK, "It's nothing."

"It does not sound like nothing to me." Ken spoke up.

"It's all that is happening has got me a little overwhelmed." Davis offered the pair a weak smile, "I'll be happy once all this is over with."

Ken accepted the answer with a nod, "Everyone's on edge with everything going on it will be nice to have everything calm again."

"And we all talk again." TK looked down are her lap as she whispered her thought out loud.

Davis heard the mutter and reached out to talk TK's hand that was closest to his in his own hand, "We are a team now and we are not going to let anything come between us again."

TK blushed at Davis's word, "You're right Davis I shouldn't be thinking like that."

Ken rolled his eyes as the two gazed into each other's eyes like a bad romance movie. Ken was happy that both his friends are happy but he did not need to witness the gushing moments.

Tai turned to look back at his sister after walking a few feet from the classroom door, "Kari are you okay?"

Kari gave Tai a deadpan look, "Tai the real question is are you okay?"

"I'm fine Kari." Tai replied.

"No, you're not Onii-chan." Kari crossed her arms over her chest, "You are acting really strange ever since Amy and Takuya's confrontation yesterday. You lost all trust towards the ones from Domino City and you are really negative towards the ones from Nakano."

Tai nodded his head at what Kari was telling him, "I really wish I knew why I'm feeling so hostile but I don't."

"Do you want to talk about it?" Kari's worry made her eyes shine.

Tai looked down to the floor and shifted a bit side-to-side, "I don't know what to say."

Kari sighed in defeat, "We'll figure it out."

The sound of the bell echoed through the school. "It's already time for class?" Tai questioned himself, "Strange."

"We'll talk later." Kari told her brother as they both turned to leave.

"We'll try." Tai nodded.

"Shit." Sora pulled Matt away from Tai's incoming form, "Come on."

"You don't have to tell me twice." Matt hurried off to avoid Tai.

"Walk faster." Jun commanded Akira as the two scurried down the hallways of the school.

Akira rolled his eyes, "I have longer legs. I'm waiting for you."

"Oh shut it." Jun remarked.

Ken noticed Kari first, "Everything alright?" Ken weakly chuckled, 'Or kind of better?"

Kari shrugged, "Kind of better. Tai agreed to talk with me."

"That's good." TK broke free from her gazing at Davis to look at the other pair.

Davis groaned, "Time for class."

Jyou looked over at Sam, "So Amy has all the answers but can't tell us until Saturday?"

Sam nodded, "Yeah. So things are going to be stressful until then."

"And just when things calmed down." Jyou sighed.

"You're not the only one with a headache." Same sighed along with his friend.

Elecmon looked at the Legendary Warriors looking at him, "I've told you everything I know."

Fairymon crossed her arms, "I still think you're leaving something out."

"Like why Amy won't tell us until Saturday." Lobomon pointed out.

Elecmon looked worried between the seven other Digimon around him, "I can't tell you that."

"Why not Elecmon?" Chakmon asked.

"Amy said that it will cause more stress if I tell you then if I don't tell you." Elecmon replied.

Grumblemon hummed, "It must be big to cause more stress."

"I'm sorry." Elecmon held his head down.

Löwemon moved to place a comforting hand on Elecmon's shoulder, "Please do not put this burden on your shoulders it is not yours to bear."

"Riddles." Blitzmon threw his hands up in the air, "Always riddles."

Saturday could not come fast enough. Tai became more and more harsh to anyone not from the original gang. David was the last person for Tai to rage against. It unnerved everyone when Tai psychotically relaxed when David flinched away from Tai. It took Akira, Matt and Sora to hold back Jun form clocking Tai a good one when that exchange happened. But the large group of kids and Digimon survived until Saturday when they all meet up, tension thick as an oak tree.

Not surprisingly, Tai broke the silence first. "So are we going to train or what?"

"Storytime first." Amy just smiled at Tai. "As many of you are aware Tai's been slowly going crazy ever since Takuya and I had our words."

"I am not crazy." Tai hissed out the words.

"Well, you're not fully wrong." Noah spoke up next. "That birthmark on your arm proves it."

Tai broke his glare to look down at his left arm, "What does that have to do with anything?"

"It's a mark of a Hunter." A new voice spoke up.

The kids and Digimon turned to the main entrance of the training area to see a group of teenagers and young adults, all with an aura of strength and wisdom.

"It's the King of Games in the flesh." David found his voice first.

Yugi waved at the group, "We're here to help train you."

Tristan walked towards the chosen kids, "So Tai is it?" the group realized that Tristan was the one that spoke before Yugi.

Tai's stance weakened at the sight of the new group, "Yes."

"The name's Tristan Taylor and." Tristan pulled up his sleeve to show Tai, and everyone else, his matching Hunter's mark, "This mark states to the world your birthright to track down any and all forms of supernatural creatures and eliminate them."

"Backup what!?" Izzy managed to find his voice first, "Tai is genetically engineered to be a killer?"

"That's half right." Tristan chuckled, "Us Hunters also protect any supernatural person from other Hunters. We're territorial that way."

"You're lying." Tai's voice may have been defensive but his body language told a different story.

Tristin smirked, "I'm going to help you come to terms with who and what you are. And then you're going to give most if not everyone in this room an apology for your strange behaviour."

Tai took a step back, "Nothing is wrong with me." His voice even sounding defeated now.

Tristin nodded, "True nothing is wrong with you. You just have no clue how to control your own emotions and reactions anymore." Tristin looked around at the large group of kids partnered to Digimon. His gaze landed on Takuya and then Davis before turning back to Tai, "You both enraged by them and enjoy watching them be scared."

Tai flinched at the words, "How di-"

Tristin held up his hand to silence Tai, "Been there done that. Now time to train." Tristin walked over to Tai, grabbed him by the shirt and dragged him.

"Tai." Agumon quickly followed his human,

Noah opened the large doors once again, "One problem dealt with."

"Time to do some training of our own." Rebecca smiled at the others.

"What just happened?" Jyou spoke up for the kids left in the dark.

Amy took a step, "Everyone here was chosen based on their knowledge, their skill sets, their golden heart for justice." Amy looked at the others before continuing, "As you all know some of us are just extraordinary, some of us have magic, some of us have the power of a Royal Knight, a few us is are dragons and Tai is a Hunter. When a Hunter's nature kicks in they are… Well, they act like Tai the past few days. But after they come to terms with their birthright they return to their normal behaviour. Tai will not hurt us. Not when Tristin is through."

"So this is why for the past few days everyone's been on edge?" Matt spoke up this time, "Our friendships with each other are damaged because of this." Her crest glowed.

Noah turned to Amy, "This won't cause drama. This is the best option." Noah's voice when higher as he imitated Amy's voice.

Mokuba glared at Noah, "You also agreed to this plan."

Mikey looked around at the groups; the older teens sent to help with training stood by the one entrance looking a little awkward, the youngest kids Cody, Ken, Kari, TK, Yolie, Davis, Tommy, and Shinya all off to the side looking heartbroken. The middle-aged ones, Matt, Sora, Izzy, Mimi, Jyou, Akira, Jun, Sam, Takuya, Kouji, JP, Zoe, and Koichi looked both angry and confused as they faced the Domino kids. The Digimon all stood by their partners, waiting for any signs of a fight going to break out.

"Guys." Mikey sighed, "Given the options and our time frame we believed it was the best choice. It was not the most moral option but it was needed."

Mimi's crest was the next to glow, "You meant well. You tried to withhold pain but that always causes pain."

"They withheld for the right reason." TK spoke up, "They waited for the right time to tell us. And yes it was the right time I should know."

The DigiDestines looked away from TK.

"We should start training." Davis looked at the older teens waiting by the entrance, "That's why we're here anyway. To get ready for the fight in Hell."

"Amy you're going to go fight in Hell!?" Ryou marched over to her sister, with Baraka on her heals, "You know what Hell's darkness does to you."

"Nee-san." Amy held you her hands in defense, "It's not our Hell it's the Digital Worlds Hell."

"Totally different." Rebecca backed Amy up. The tension in the rooms started to disappear.

Baraka huffed, "You should have told us this." She turned to the older teens, "Come on guys and gals lets get this young one into shape."

"Not more meditation." Takuya playfully whined. He yelped when a fireball hit the floor about a foot from his own feet.

"How about practicing dodging instead?"

Takuya looked over to the group of older teens to see who threw the fireball.

Said person took a few step forwards and created two more fireballs, one for each hand, "I'll give you a ten-second head start." Joey smiled.

Takuya started to snicker, "I'm game." He took off running.

The large group watched as Joey and Takuya ran off to engage in a dangerous game of dodge.

Izzy held up his hand, "I'm going to continue to work on trying to cloak the Digimon and find out about this government group."

Rebecca gasped, "Hacking I love it." Rebecca ran over to Izzy, "I'm joining."

Hawkmon turned to Yolie, "Do you wish to join them with computer work?"

Yolie hummed in thought, "I need to learn more fighting before I can join in the computer work."

Shadowmon flew in front of TK's face, "TK is it alright if I help Izzy with the computer work?"

"Of course Shadowmon." TK smiled. Shadowmon nodded and flew over to Izzy and Rebecca.

Izzy looked over at Rebecca, "Rebecca can you see if Impmon will be willing to help?"

"Impmon?" Rebecca repeated, "Why?"

"Impmon's Perfect Form as access to all the information in the DigiWorld." Izzy explained.

Shadowmon landed on Izzy's head, "I'll go get Impmon for you but be warned he'll want a trade."

Izzy nodded mindful of Shadowmon on his head, "I am aware and I am willing to make a trade."

"Alright." Shadowmon replied as he took to the sky once again, "I'll go get him."

Cody looked at the groups of people. The most magic users along with their Digimon partners up with the older teens. A few of the magic users went to most of the DigiDestines and remaining Tamers to help with self-defense. While the more computer savvy members of the chosen kids worked on something on Izzy's computer. "What did I agree to?"

Armadillomon lightly nudged Cody, "To protect those who can't protect themselves."

Cody smiled, "Right that's it." Cody looked down to his Digimon, "Thank you for the reminder."

Armadillomon smiled, "Always."

Yamaki marched into Oikawa's office, "Update now."

Oikawa never looked up from his computer, "The update is the same as it was ten minutes ago. Something is now blocking the tracking device from finding the digital creatures."

"Can you get past the interference?" Yamaki asked.

Oikawa rolled his eyes, "That is what I am trying to do."

Yamaki nodded, "What did you say to that cop?"

"Shockingly he did not believe me when I told him the truth." Oikawa replied, with a hint of sarcasm.

"You told that cop?" Yamaki repeated.

"That cop so happens to be my friend." Oikawa stops working on his computer to look at Yamaki, "He's the reason I started researching this digital world."

Yamaki 'tsk'ed, "We don't need any local authorities asking us questions."

"You were the one that wanted to launch a kidnapping a few days ago." Oikawa pointed out.

Yamaki made his way over to the seat across from Oikawa, "I underestimated their skills and abilities." He took the seat and looked directly into Oikawa's eyes, "It won't happen again."

Oikawa met the challenge, "They're just kids."

"With powers far beyond their control." Yamaki countered, "They need to be put in check."

Oikawa broke the challenge by looking back at his computer, "How is it we should be the ones that keep those kids in check?"

Yamaki got to his feet, "We're adults that understand actions have consequences, kids don't have common sense yet."

Just before Yamaki left the office Oikawa added, "With that way of thinking no wonder the kids won."

"That will be the first and last time." Yamaki growled out.

Officer Hida looked at the information in front of him. He sighed in defeat, "Every time I get an answer I get five more questions."

"Still working on the power problem?"

Officer Hida looked over to his partner, "Yes."

Officer Barton nodded and sat down across from Officer Hida, "Any changes in the case?" Officer Barton sipped on his coffee, 'I need to update Yamaki about what he knows.'

"Nothing really." Officer Hida confessed, "The only connection is a few of the kids that went missing after the gas leak in the schools in Odaiba, Domino City, and Nakano. You missed a very eventfully day."

Officer Barton chuckled weakly, "Sorry about that. But I can assure you I still had an eventful day."

Officer Hida laughed, "Fair enough."

"Anything else?" Officer Barton asked.

Officer Hida looked at his notes, "Some witnesses state they saw some creatures but photos taken at the time prove that there are no creatures."

Officer Barton nodded, "Go on." He took another sip of his coffee.

"I managed to track down similar sightings to the past few years in Domino City, one in Nakano last year, a few in Odaiba three years and one ten years ago also in Odaiba. Also one four years ago in all three cities." Officer Hida told Officer Barton. "What I don't get is that the ones in Domino also match discerptions of duel monsters."

"Could those duel disks be malfunction?" Officer Barton asked, "Domino City does have a high volume of duelists."

Officer Hida nodded, "That's what I'm thinking."

Officer Barton looked at Officer Hida, "Something else is bothering you?"

Officer Hida looked at his partner of three years, "I think my son is one of the kids connect to this."

"What makes you say that?" Questioned Officer Barton.

"The kids that are connected to the earlier power surges are hanging out with Iori and he got a new toy." Officer Hida confessed.

"A boy has a toy so shocking." Officer Barton smirked.

Officer Hida looked directly into Officer Barton's eyes, "I've heard a voice coming from Iori's room just when that toy came into the house." He sighed and looked down at his notes, "Maybe Oikawa was right."

"What did Oikawa say?" Officer Barton asked.

"That some digital world has digital creatures in it that somehow made it to our world." Officer Hida moved his notes a bit, "That does make sense in this strange case."

Officer Barton had to take a gulp of coffee to calm himself, "I think you need a break."

Officer Hida nodded, "I agree but I need to figure this out."

"I wonder what Yamaki will have me do once I tell him what's going on?" Officer Barton thought as he went to work on his own cases. "Undercover work always has its downsides."

Tristan put his hands on Tai's shoulders, "Are you feeling better?"

Tai looked down at his feet, "Maybe."

Tristan took a few steps away from Tai, "I understand that your mind is racing and it's full of confusing information and your heart is getting shouted over. But it will pass."

"How will my friends even look at me the same?" Tai balled his hands into fists.

"You guys will overcome any secrets or problems within the group." Tristan pointed out, "You have that war in hell to deal with. You lot can't afford to worry about petty problems."

Tai thought about it for a moment before looking at Tristan with renewed determination, "We always come together when we need to."

"That's great to hear." Tristan smiled at Tai, "I'll get the other to agree to a meeting for you lot to talk about everything that is going on."

Tai nodded, "Thank you for everything." Tai bowed, "We owe you guys a lot." Tai stood straight up once again.

"Thank us once your battle is finished." Tristan told the younger hunter, "Now time to have those guys accept your protection. It will calm down all remaining rage."

Tai nodded, "But what about the ones under your protection?"

"I'll make you a deal." Tristan offered, "You protect them when they're will you in the Digital World and I'll protect them when they're in the real world."

Tai nodded and offered his hand, "Deal."

Tristan took the hand to agree with the deal. "Now let's head back."
