Surprise! I am finally back, I had to get a new laptop and whole setup and all that great stuff. I feel like it has been forever, well technically it has been! I have missed writing so much and I miss all of you! I hope you're still here with me because I plan to continue to write as often as possible. This chapter may not be as long as you want it to be and i would be the blame for that but I ended it where I thought it should be ended. Just to catch anyone up you can either go back and read chapter 24 or I can pretty much tell you last chapter was preparation for the big trip which starts in this chapter and continues out. I don't have a beta'd reader so there may be some errors in here, I tried to as many if not all of them but we all know I am not perfect. I managed to get some peace and quiet before the place got rowdy with everyone here. I rolled out of bed quietly as possible so I didn't wake Annalise up and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth before putting on my running clothes. I put my ear buds in and set the pace as I enjoyed the feel of the early morning sun against my skin. I pushed myself harder when I thought about everything that had transpired between Emmett and me since he had left. I welcomed the burn in my chest and kept going. I did my 5 miles but in a shorter time that usual and I was proud of myself. I was outside of my apartment bent over stretching when a hand slapped with my butt. I whipped around so fast I should've stumbled over but I didn't.
"Whoa there, slow down." Alex said with a chuckle. I looked at him with disbelief and made it into the apartment building to get to the elevator and get away from him but he followed behind me. There was complete silence on the elevator ride and that is how I wanted it. I was so pissed that I was liable to say anything and possibly kick the hell out of Alex's manhood.
"Are you going to ignore me now?" he asked when the elevator doors open. I turned towards him and had to take a pause to gain my composure.
"Don't you ever and I mean ever do that again." I said as I fixed my death glare on him.
"Bells it was just a joke." He whined
"Alex! That isn't something you joke with me about. I do have a boyfriend, it doesn't matter that he isn't here I still have him. Plus I have to take your action seriously since you're into girls now and you can't just do that and think it is okay." I replied with a huff
"Well he isn't here to take care of you so I might as well and I am sure I can do it better than he ever did." Alex whispered in my ear as he backed me up against the wall.
"Back the hell off of me Alex." I said shoving him in the chest but he didn't budge.
"Alex!" I heard a growl from behind us and when Alex moved I saw Jace standing there.
"Jace" Alex said Jace's name like it poisonous.
"Get away from her, now." Jace said pushing him away from me.
"Don't fucking touch me you piece of..." Alex replied angrily but was cut off by Edward
"You what? Go ahead and finish the sentence Alex, I dare you." Edward said taking a step towards him.
"Ed man he was all up on Bella and I even heard her ask him to back off and he wouldn't." Jace said getting angrier by the second.
"Alex, come inside with me." Edward said irritated.
Jace pulled me into my apartment before I got a chance to hear what Edward would possibly say to Alex. We walked into the kitchen and started on our first cup of coffee for the day.
"I really don't like him." Jace said into his cup
"He is harmless Jace." I replied
"Oh please, he had you backed into a wall and you couldn't push him off. Something is unsettling about him. How is it that one minute he is into Nick and then next thing you know he has a girlfriend Samantha and telling everyone he is no longer gay. He even said he pretended to be gay so he could be friends with you and the girls without being us boys being suspicious of him. I can tell you now he wants to get in your pants but I refuse to let that happen." Jace said
"Seriously Jace, don't get worked up about it, it is fine. I know how to handle Alex properly. He is just trying to find himself that's all, just give him a chance. I can promise you he isn't an asshole, just let it play out and he will be coming to you to apologize." I replied and my little brother rolled his eyes at me. We sat and finished our coffee with small talk; Jace got up to answer the door and he walked back in annoyed. Behind him was a sad looking Alex.
"Bella I apologize for what I did earlier. I was nothing but a complete asshole for what I did to you and I had no right to do that. I know Emmett means everything to you and he is everything you ever wanted and I had no right to try and downplay that. I hope you forgive me and I really can't lose you because you are my best friend. I can't be here too long or Edward will kick my ass, seriously I am so sorry." Alex said and though his actions were shitty, his eyes said it all just now and I could forgive him.
"Aw Alex!" I said pulling him into a hug. "I forgive you, just don't pull a stunt like that again." I said kissing him on the cheek.
"Um Jace, man I know you hate me for whatever reason and I don't know why but I apologize for the shit I pulled earlier. I know you came out there to protect Bella and I would've done the same. You're a cool dude and I hope we can work out whatever differences we have and move on to a cordial relationship." Alex said to Jace. I watched the mixed emotions pass over Jace's face before he had a small smile on his face.
"Yeah Alex I forgive you man and hopefully we can be cool." Jace said looking over at me and I smiled at him.
"Edward is scary and I never realized it. He ripped me a new one and almost took away my invitation to Florida but he knew you wanted me to be there." Alex said sighing
"Well you deserved it for being a jerk but I still love you." I said slapping his chest then hugging him again.
"Thanks for being awesome and forgiving me and all my stupidity." Alex said
"That is what friends do buddy. As much as I would love to chat I have two classes today and we all know I hate being late and missing stuff." I said leaving those two in the kitchen. I rushed around to get ready to leave but I left in amply enough time to get to class on time if I drove.

After class, the rest of the day was pretty relaxed. Instead of going straight home I stopped by the café to grab a sandwich and do some homework before we left for Florida tomorrow. I was busy working when my phone vibrated on the table and I hoped like hell it wasn't Alice.
"Hey baby." Emmett's smooth voice sounded through the phone and I melted.
"Babe! How are you?" I asked a smiled breaking on my face
"I am doing better now that I am talking to you. How are you my dear?" He replied, it sounded like he was smiling too.
"Same as you. What are you doing?" I asked
"Going to the grocery store and then home to relax before having to do a little school work and what not." He said
"I miss you so much." I sighed and he sighed with me.
"I know baby, I miss you too. I miss smelling you in my bed." He replied
"I still sleep in your shirts you know but they just don't smell enough like you." I said sadly and he chuckled.
"Well, in June you can have as many as my shirts as you like." He said
"That seems so far away, I want to see you now." I said
"You can tonight if you aren't too busy and we can FaceTime, I won't be doing anything but thinking about you. It isn't the same as being face to face but we can make do." He said hopefully.
"It will be a house full of people wanting to talk to you too you know?" I asked
"Yup but if we get them all out of the way, it will just be me and you last." He said and I smiled.
"Okay, sounds good. I have to go before Alice comes to hunt me down. I love you so much baby." I said
"I love you more beautiful, can't wait to talk to you later." He said
"Me too, okay bye babe." I replied and hung up. I stared at the phone for a little while and finally packed up my stuff and headed home.

Around 6 in the evening I got on FaceTime with Emmett and everyone had something to talk to him about, even Mike. For a whole hour everyone talked to him while we all sat around.
"Alright you guys, I definitely miss everyone but I need to talk to my baby." Emmett said and everyone oooed and awed. I grabbed my laptop and left for my room.
From 7-12 Emmett and I just talked about everything. We didn't miss a beat as we talked as if we hadn't fought a lot and as if there was no distance between us. The talk about the fights was a difficult one but he left me know he was just paranoid but after a talk with the guys he realized his stupidity and asked for me to forgive him for it. I was glad he told me and of course I would forgive him, that was a given. I enjoyed every part of the time we spent together. It reminded me of how it was when he was here and we would just talk about any and everything. This man is my life and I need him to survive every single day. I yawned mid-sentence and he smiled at me lovingly.
"Bells get some sleep, you have an early start in the morning." Emmett said sweetly
"Babe I don't want to leave." I pouted
"You're just too cute but please get some rest. You know Alice will blame me if you're super grouchy in the morning and we both know she would fly out here to kick my ass just because of that." He said and I chuckled
"Fine! Have a good night handsome and I love you more than life itself."
"You too beautiful, words can't express how much I love you." He pressed and kiss to the screen and I did the same before logging off.

"Bells it's time!" Alice squealed in my ear
"It is too damn early." I growled into my pillow after taking a peek at the clock and it read 4 am on the dot.
"I got someone a caramel frap with their name on it if they can be ready in 15." Alice sang as she left my room.
" She better be glad I love her." I grumbled to no one in particular as I trudged to the bathroom.
I took the quickest and possibly the coldest shower ever. I brushed my teeth, pulled my hair up, and put on some lotion and got dressed in some shorts and t-shirt before grabbing all of my toiletries and checking my carry on. I looked at the clock and I had 5 minutes to spare. Yeah, I am good. I walked out to the living room to see the zombie version of my friends as they all complained about being up early.
"Here you go sweet pea." Alice said handing me my chilled coffee. I sipped and savored the rich delicacy for a long time.
"You're the best Allycat." I moaned as I took another sip of the coffee.
"Well of course I am." She said as if it was a no brainer and of course it was.
"Alright people we in leave in 5 minutes. All the boys will be packing up suit cases into the cars and make room for everything. Girls, let's make sure any and everything is unplugged, okay move, move, move!" Alice ordered and we all scrambled to do our job.
With us having so many people we finished our jobs with a couple of minutes to spare. Rose went through a role call to make sure everyone was all here. Edward informed us that his Uncle had the plane ready and all we would have to do is go through security and be ready to go. We all whopped and hollered on the way to the rented SUVs Edward got yesterday. They reminded me of Emmett's and I couldn't help but wish that he was here right now getting excited about our Florida trip.
"Let's do this thing!" Alice yelled as Edward drove us to the airport.
The ride wasn't long maybe an hour at the most so there wasn't much time to fall asleep before getting there. After finding parking and getting all the luggage and going through the whole airport process we were ready to board our flight right on time at 6:15. Everyone was coupled up and there was room for me to sit alone but I knew I wouldn't want to. I looked over to Alex who was alone and he looked between me and Edward when I sat down. I looked up at Edward and glared at him and he turned around without a word, soon after Alex got comfortable with me sitting beside him.
"Good morning everyone, I am your Pilot, Captain Daniel Scout. The flight to Miami, FL from Seattle, WA will arrive at 3:30 pm east coast time and that is 12:30 west coast time. I hope everyone is buckled up and ready to have a nice, easy flight. Thank you."
"So this is going to be fun." Alex said
"Yeah, I am super excited." I said with a yawn
"Umhm I can tell." He replied laughing at me
"Oh hush!" I said
"Well I can be your human sized pillow if you want, I don't mind." He said opening his arms for me. I was a bit hesitant but I went ahead and rested my head on his chest. Before I knew it I was sleeping peacefully without a care in the world.

I awoke to a squeal and the bright sun. Ah Florida, the sunshine state, it never fails to bring a smile to my face. I pulled away from Alex and stretched out a bit, these 5 hours were a bitch to my body but I slept well. It took me a minute to adjust and fully wake up but when I did, I enjoyed the view with the beautiful clouds.
"Good afternoon passengers! Let's make sure we have our seat belts on as we are getting ready to descend and land. I hope you all enjoyed your flight."
"Alex…Alex, come on buddy, let's get your seat belt on." I said as I tried to wake him up. It took him a minute but he finally came to and got his seat belt on.
Soon we were landing and off the plane ready to have a hell of a time in Florida. Edward's uncle had to pull a few strings as far as getting us a rental car because we were yet 21 and couldn't get the cars ourselves. Each set of couples had a car to share with one another so there were 5 couple cars and then one for Alex and me to share but daddy still has the red mustang he got for Kate when they come here for vacation and I knew for a fact I was definitely going to drive it for myself.
"Bella, thank God you told me to wear these shorts and this t-shirt with converses because it is hot as hell." Jessica grumbled as she pulled her hair up on top of her head.
"No problem." I replied
We made our way to the cars and everyone followed behind me and Alex as we drove. I absolutely love Miami. The beaches are beautiful, the sky is beautiful unless it was raining, and it didn't hurt that there were good looking men here.
"Are you ready for some extreme fun in the sun?" I asked Alex
"Yes! I plan to bury myself deep in some tan babe and just relax."
"Dude! You're not going to one night stand it this whole vacation are you?" I asked
"We can't all find loves of our lives Baby B, so to answer your question I sure am!" Alex said with a whoop and I just shook my head at him. Oh shoot, we need to go to the grocery store before heading in.
"Call Rose for me and ask her about grocery shopping." I said to Alex
"Hot stuff! Bells wanted to know if we're going grocery shopping now or later?" Alex asked "Okay gotcha!"
"Rose said not to worry about it, she has stuff covered." Alex relayed to message to me.
"Really? Okay cool." I said.
The rest of the drive was quiet besides the music from the radio. I was looking around like I hadn't ever been here before. Every year I always see why I love it here. We were soon pulling up at the vacation house Charlie invested in years ago, renovated it and made it huge. It was at the most a 5 minute walk to the beach and not far from the very active city. We all climb out the cars and looked up at the gorgeous place we would be staying for the next week and half.
"It is just as beautiful as I remembered." Alice said walking up beside me.
"Alight gang let's get this stuff inside and to the rooms we'll be in." Edward said
We all collected our things and traveled to the rooms we wanted. I went to my usual room on the third floor at the very end of the hall. I dropped my bag at the door and went back to get the rest. I realized everyone was either in the kitchen or the living room instead of going to their rooms. I went to get the last of my bags and tried to see if anyone needed help. They all seemed to dismiss my help so I went ahead to my room.
I struggled to open the door due to the fact my hands full but when I did get it open I dropped all the stuff on the floor either way, this moment called for it.
I'll be damned…There he was standing in a towel still dripping wet.
By the way has anyone ever told you that y'all are some freaking smart individuals (or did I make it obvious?)?! I tried to surprise y'all and make Emmett's arrival a big thing but some of your readers figured it out! Lucky for you I love smart people and all their wittiness!
