-Citrus-

After dinner the marauders walked, well marched, me back to my room. I don't mind spending time with them, but I would rather be with Lily and Scarlett.

"Did you enjoy eating dinner with us?" Black asked.

I shrugged.

"Well you can always sit with us." Remus offered. James elbowed him in the ribs and Remus pushed him back.

"Goodnight." I said to all of them as I climbed the stairs to bed. They said goodnight back and sat on the couches by the fire.

I sat by the window and watched the sky, seeing constellations from astronomy in the stars. I can't believe that the first day is over. Looking at the dark night my thoughts turned to home and my mother. I've known for a long time that she understands her dark side, but I never guessed that she would drag her family with her.

I could hear the laughter from the Marauders downstairs. I forced myself on to my bed and drew the curtains around me. I pulled out my diary and a quill and started to write.

I wrote about some of the things I thought about. Then I flicked to the back and started to add to the story about a magical girl who lived in the Muggle world, after never getting her Hogwarts letter. Her parents had told her about it, but she never got invited, even though she showed magical abilities as a child.

I loved living this girl's story, it made me think about what could happened with Liam.

"Citrus?" Peach whispered from the door.

"Yeah?"

"Oh, I was just checking if you were still awake."

"I am. Aren't you going to spend more time with your friends?"

"The seventh years sent us to bed."

"And you listened?"

"James really admires this particular seventh year."

"Still, he actually listened?"

"He did give James and Sirius ideas for their first pranks."

"Oh, that would do it."

"Sorry for dragging you down with us, but I had the feeling that you're going to do that every night. I just want you to know that you can sit with us, they won't mind."

"Thank you Peach."

"No worries. Goodnight."

"Night" I said. "What time is it?"

"Just after ten" She yawned. "Probably a good thing we got sent to bed."
