I'm so sorry I didn't get this up for Valentines Day! The entire weekend just got away from me, especially Friday and Saturday but I hope this makes up for it. It's not too long, which I apologize for but the next one will be longer, I promise!
And, I've started a photobucket account with images pertaining for this story, here's the link: user/deadlysorrow2/library/?sort=3&page=0
Enjoy!
"Oh no. Don't smile.
You'll kill me.
I stop breathing when you smile."
-Tessa Dare
Before I could process his words, Peter's lips touched mine fiercely, his hands going to the back of my head to tangle in my thick tresses. After several moments of me standing there like a statue, he freed a hand and it slid down to my wait, wrapping around it and pulling me tightly against him.
A whoosh of air escaped my lungs at that, and I found myself gripping the collar of his shirt tightly, slowly, hesitantly beginning to respond to his deep kisses, swallowing back a moan when his tongue slipped into my mouth, his movements surprisingly gentle compared to the previous ones. My hands moved from his shirt, touching the back of his neck before they tangled in his messy, brown hair, gently tugging his head closer to mine as I began to respond to him in earnest.
I could feel his smirk through our kiss and, before I knew it, he detached our lips and moved his attention to my neck, kissing the exposed and sensitive skin fiercely.
I held in a whimper, my grip in Peter's hair tightening as he continued to press kisses against the side of my neck, shivering each time his cool lips touched my now heated flesh. My eyes, previously closed, flew open when his light kisses became more ardent, the pressure becoming more forceful as he continued his ministrations on my neck.
A ragged, low moan escaped my lips before I could stop it and Peter stilled, a low, husky chuckle coming from him before he brought his head to mine, his green eyes lazily skimming my flushed face. He leaned his weight on the arm above my head, moving towards me until our noses were touching.
"Enjoying yourself?" His other hand gently caressed my cheek, his touch light as I stared up at him, my head dazed and heady. I reached up, gripping his wrist and leaning into the hand on my cheek, closing my eyes as he chuckled again. "I'll take that as a yes. But," my eyes snapped open again, warily staring at his heated, green gaze. "Let's see about making it better."
His lips nearly slammed onto mine, his cool lips rough and needy as his hands wrapped around my waist, pressing against my lower back to pull me closer to him. I let out another ragged moan when his tongue roughly pried my lips apart before it slid into my mouth, tangling with my own.
I nearly jumped when I felt his cool hands slid underneath my shirt, though they stayed at my waist and I relaxed again, his fingers rubbing random patterns across the bare skin of my waist and abdomen. I shivered, pressing him closer and kissing him back fiercely, drawing a low growl from his chest as he responded in kind, with fierce and harsh pulls of his lips.
Feeling dazed, I continued to kiss him, paying no attention to the growing burn in my lungs from lack of air, too caught up in the heady feeling coursing through me to care. I dimly felt his hands move but, when I felt them touch me, I reacted.
Badly.
I shoved him away, staring at him with wide, horrified eyes as he blinked at me, his green eyes dazed. He reached for me and I danced out of his grip, nearly flattening myself against the rock wall behind me as images assaulted me from my time spent as a servant in the Baron's castle.
"What the hell was that?!" I hissed out, my eyes bleeding red as he stared at me, almost uncomprehendingly, his eyes still glazed over with passion. I ignored the heat curling in my lower belly, pushing away the flash of desire that hit me when I caught sight of his eyes and stared hard at him. "What-why would you..."
I broke off, looking away from him finally and allowed my hair to cover my face, shutting my eyes tightly as I tried, in vain, to push down that particular memory.
The memory of seeing the Baron my brother had sold me to, trying to force himself on a serving girl that hadn't been much holder than my eight years, hit me and accomplished killing the heat quickly.
I inhaled sharply, succeeding in pushing away the horrible memory, hoping that it wouldn't terrorize me while I slept again. I jerked away from the hand that landed on my shoulder, my eyes flying open to meet Peter's gaze.
"Lily, what is it?" I continued to stare at him, belatedly realizing that I was trembling from head to toe, and shook my head dumbly, remaining mute as my fury completely left me, leaving me drained. He reached forward slowly and I stared warily at his hand, remaining stiff when it gently touched my shoulder again, though I made no move to remove it from my person.
He stared hard at me, his eyes narrowed in thought before a knowing look entered his eyes, immediately followed by a burning rage as his breathing increased.
"Did someone hurt you?" He demanded in a low, dark voice and I simply shook my head, cutting him off.
"No. I saw it happen to someone else." I spoke quickly, my words nearly running together before I fell silent again, unwilling to go into more detail than absolutely necessary. His hand slid down from my shoulder to my arm, his other hand going to my other arm before he pulled me into his embrace.
I kept my gaze locked onto his chest, feeling my eyes beginning to burn for some odd reason. His breathing was still harsh and he pressed closer to me, ignoring how I stiffened at the proximity.
"Lily." I didn't respond to his call and he exhaled slowly before tilting my chin up, his heated gaze searing into mine. "I would never, ever, do that to you."
I continued to stare at him silently and he heaved another deep sigh before pulling me closer, his arms tight around my waist as he tucked my head into his chest, resting his cheek on top of my hair.
"I promise, Lily." I shivered at the hushed whisper and slowly move my arms, though they felt like they were filled with lead, and slid them around his thin waist.
I didn't protest when he moved back enough so he could see my face, nor did I protest when I felt his hand deftly slide underneath my shirt again, though they remained at my waist, gently rubbing my skin in soothing motions. He slowly leaned his head down to mine, gently brushing his lips against mine in a feather-like caress that forced my eyes to shut.
He deepen the kiss quickly, though soon after he pulled away, resting his forehead against mine as both of us panted, out breath mingling as we stared at each other. A smirk curled onto his lips and he removed his hands from my waist, cupping my face instead.
"I just found a new game, Lily. I'm going to make you want me." He vowed, a boyish smirk that had no place there adorned his lips and I somehow managed a small, cheeky smirk of my own.
"You can try." I pushed myself up, lightly brushing my lips against his before I tore myself from his arms and darted away, leaving a surprised and almost dazed looking Peter blinking after me. "But, you have to catch me first." I teased and before I transported myself, I caught sight of his answering grin, feeling my heart stutter in my chest.
"Let the games begin."

Peter's lover: I know, I'm a horrible person ;) And I hope you like this chapter, though it might be a bit before there are any steamy Peter/Lily scenes, which shall be explained in this chapter. I do apologize for not getting this up sooner but I've been busy as hell this weekend and it's been horrible.
Nellee: Thank you! And I hope this is enough, though there is a lack of smut, you'll just have to wait for that my dear.

my sneakers have swag x: Happy Valentines Day as well! And I know, I'm a horrible person and such a tease ;). I'm glad you love it so much even if it did make you want to commit arson, which you shouldn't do! And thank you for the criticism, I just then realized how much I did that in the stories, so thanks for pointing it out, my dear. You have an amazing week as well!
