Chapter 26
Omega
Uncle Cid had come across some old ruins.
"I say we check them out." Tidus said.
I nodded and Yuna did as well.
"There may be something there we could use." she said.
"Alrighty! Hold on!" Uncle Cid roared.
I braced myself against Auron and the airship took off. I smirked when I didn't lose my balance.
We reached the ruins and Tidus and Rikku went forward.
"What is this place?" Tidus asked.
"Seven hundred years ago….a monk who defied the teachings was sentenced here." Lulu said.
"Oh, the traitor Omega ya?" Wakka said.
"Omega? I remember hearing about him once." I said.
Auron nodded.
"Omega's loathing of Yevon turned him into a fiend." Yuna said.
I looked down into the darkness.
"They say he liked it underground, out of the light." Wakka added.
"So he's still here?"
"Somewhere….down there?" Tidus asked.
Auron walked forward.
"Scared?" he asked.
I smirked.
"No way!" Tidus said.
I walked up and took Auron's hand.
"I'm not afraid. I used to be, but not anymore." I said.
Auron's POV
I looked down at my young wife. There was no fear in her eyes. Only determination. I kissed her quickly and we all went down into the darkness. There were fires lit here and there, but most of the time it was dark. As we went deeper we were attacked by a large fiend.
"AMAHY GET BACK!"
She jumped back but then ran forward again. She jumped on top of it.
Why does she always do that?!
She dealt a great deal of damage and then Lulu finished it with a powerful spell. She jumped down with a satisfied smirk and I shook my head.
"That was not Omega. Just a shadow, born from Omega's wrath." I said.
Amahy and the others looked at me in disbelief.
"What, so the main man's still around?" Wakka asked.
"It would seem so. Let's get him." Amahy said.
I nodded and we went deeper.
"Come on out Omega!" Tidus shouted.
"When we meet, I'll send it." Yuna said.
We kept going until we came across one of the most terrifying fiends I'd ever seen.
"Omega." Amahy said.
"Look out!"
Omega gave a terrible roar and charged forward. I heard Amahy scream in terror. Yuna was on the ground.
"YUNA!" Tidus shouted.
Amahy slowly stood up. The look on her face was one of pure rage! She took her sword and slowly walked forward. Omega made to attack her but she was too fast. She managed to drive her sword up through Omega's head. He fell to the ground and Amahy landed on her feet. She was shaking with anger and no one dared go near her.
"Amahy?" I called.
She didn't seem to hear me. I took a deep breath and walked forward. I put my hands on her arms and she stiffened.
"Amahy your sister needs you." I whispered.
She started to breath normally and then ran to Yuna. Tidus had her in his arms and she knelt down.
"Yuna?" she asked.
She was out cold but she was still alive. Tidus stood up and we carried her back to the airship.
"What happened?" their uncle asked.
"Omega knocked her out. She'll be fine. We need to find Sin, put an end to all this."
He turned around.
"Well this is it eh?" he asked.
Amahy's POV
I looked over at Uncle Cid.
"Yu Yevon's hiding somewhere inside Sin. And we're gonna find him." Tidus said.
"Well that sounds pretty simple."
Tidus chuckled.
"Hey, simple is the way you like it right?"
"You got that right."
Yuna woke up then.
"Where are we?" she asked.
"Uncle Cid's airship. Omega is dead, I killed him."
"But I couldn't send him."
Lulu looked at her.
"Trust me I don't think he'll be coming back."
I smirked and shook my head.
"Amahy can I talk to you in the other compartment please?" Auron asked me.
I knew what he meant and immediately followed him.
Third Person POV
Yuna and the others watched Auron and Amahy leave. They all knew where they were going and why. Tidus shifted his feet Yuna looked at him curiously.
"Every time they go you do that. Did something happen?"
"Nothing I ever want to speak of or remember." he muttered.
Auron's POV
I thrusted hard once more before I came. She was breathing hard and there was a fine sheet of sweat covering us both. I kissed the tops of her breasts and then she lifted my face. She looked like she wanted to say something, but she didn't seem to know what to say. I smiled and pulled her into my arms.
"You don't have to say anything. Just being here with you is enough." I whispered.
I felt her tears fall on my chest and I kissed them away.
"No tears Amahy. It's not over yet. I'm still here."
She nodded but still did not say anything. We stayed there for a little while until a soft knock came at the door.
"Um everyone is waiting on the bridge." came Yuna's voice.
"We'll be there." Amahy said.
I heard her walk away and Amahy stood up. She pulled my coat over her shoulders and sighed.
"They must have found Sin." she said.
I pulled on my pants and walked over to her.
"I have dreaded this moment, but I knew it had to come. So I will fight with all my strength until the very end." she whispered.
I put my hands on her shoulders. Her courage and bravery never ceased to amaze me.
"Then let's fight. Together." I said.
She turned and smiled at me.
"Together."
