Chapter Twenty-Six

It had only been a day since Soul Storm had been defeated and already there was a lot of confusion with the two Primes, two Magnus' and two Prowls. It had been funny at first, with Sideburn walking into the command centre calling Optimus's name and having both Primes respond. Now though, it was just getting annoying and Comet was just about fed up fixing all the locked up processors that had occurred. She stormed into the command centre, "You either change your names or I'm returning to Cybertron!" she threatened angrily.

"There is no need to threaten us, Comet." The semi said.

"No? You try fixing as many frozen processors as I have within a day and see how you fragging feel!" she retaliated still angry.

Knowing what the other Prime was thinking the fire truck said, "Ratchet?" a humorous smile beneath his faceplate.

"Ratchet." The red and blue mech confirmed.

Comet growled, "That's it. You can find yourself another medic, Optimus Prime." She said and stormed out.

The semi looked over at the red mech. "Do you think she was serious?"

"I don't know." He replied.

"Then I suggest you follow her…Optimus." Prime said.

The fire truck gave a nod and headed after the irate ambulance. After finding that she wasn't in the medbay he headed for her quarters, he was starting to worry that she was serious and would return to Cybertron. He knocked on the door, there was silence for a moment before an annoyed voice said, "if that's you Optimus Prime, you can frag off." Ignoring the 'warning' Optimus entered the femme's quarters, she narrowed her amber optics at the 'intruder'. "Comet…" he began.

"You better be here to tell me they've changed their names or mpth!" She was surprised when Optimus suddenly kissed her. She tried to resist but felt herself melting into his embrace and returning the kiss. As the kiss ended she said, "I certainly hope you don't think that's going to change anything." Having a soft but stern tone to her voice.

Optimus gave a small smile, "Prime and I were discussing the name problem before you walked in and shouted at us." He got slapped on the chest.

"I didn't shout." She replied chuckling slightly. She rested her head on his shoulder and felt him tighten his grip around her. "So what do we call them?"

"We will keep our names as they are and they will be called Prime, Prowler and Ultra." He explained.

"Something wrong, Prowl?" X-Brawn asked his brother seeing the sad look in his optics as he sat alone in the rec room.

"Spirit won't talk to me, she won't even look at me." The Lamborghini replied.

"Give her time, I'm sure she'll come round." The SUV said taking a seat next to him.

"We're talking about Freespirit here, X-Brawn." Prowl said looking at his brother.

"Prowl, from what I heard you did everything but beat the femme. She's going to need to recover from that." X-Brawn said noticing the mech cringe at the word beat.

"Thanks for reminding me of that." Prowl said sarcastically as he looked back at the table.

"It wasn't was you did that upset her, it was what you said." A voice said.

Both mechs looked over and saw the tactician, Prowl couldn't help but give a small growl at seeing him. "I doubt that very much, Prowler. Spirit would know not to believe anything I said during that time." a bitter tone in his voice.

"Then you don't know her that well." Prowler said.

X-Brawn placed a hand on his brother's arm both calming him down and stopping him from lashing out at the doorwinged mech. "Just what are you getting at, Prowler?" he asked.

"Have you ever seen Freespirit cry?" the Datsun suddenly asked.

Prowl and X-Brawn looked at each other before looking back at Prowler.

"Can't say that I have." X-Brawn replied.

"Once, but that was a very long time ago." Prowl answered.

"I have, twice. Both times they were over you, Prowl." Prowler said, Prowl was speechless "you may not have hurt her exterior, but you killed her inside." He then walked off.

"Prowler!" X-Brawn called out seeing all his brother could do was sit there in shock, the Datsun stopped "mind telling me what it was that Prowl said to her."

The white and black mech turned to look at the dark silver and green mech then at the white mech beside him and stared at the mech, almost glaring. "He said he wished she was dead and that she never returned. That without her he was free to do whatever he wanted." He then continued out.

"No." Prowl said in a shocked whisper "I…I couldn't have said that." He was starting to panic, Freespirit was his world, his life, he'd never do anything to hurt her. He loved her with every fibre of his being. He gradually turned to his brother fear clearly showing in his optics. "I…I've lost her…I…I killed her."

"Prowl, now you listen to me." X-Brawn said sternly grabbing him by his arms "you did not kill anyone, do you hear me. Now go get that femme of yours back."

"But…I killed her." Looking solemnly at the table. Suddenly he was hit round the head, he glared at his older brother. "What the slag was that for!" he asked angrily.

"To knock some sense into you. You've got three days before they return, now you either get off your aft and get her back or spent the rest of your life regretting that you didn't do anything when you could have done." X-Brawn replied.
