Dead, Gone or Alive? Part 25
"Dick, it's time to wake up," Selina whispered, opening his eyes blue eyes he stared up into a set of equally blue eyes.
"Catwoman...Selina, what is going on?" Dick asked, his mind seemed fogged as he lay in a white room.
"You are going to be okay," Selina whispered.
"Where is my dad?" Dick asked, his words slurred as he spoke.
"You will see him soon," Catwoman told him, Dick knew he should be concerned about where Bruce was but at this moment he really couldn't focus on anything for that long.
Alleyway
Kneeling down to get a closer look at the blood and to get a sample, Batman looked around for more clues. not finding anything, he headed back to the Batmobile and back to the Batcave to analysis the blood, hoping that in many ways it was Dick's but hoping in many ways that it wasn't. Analysing the blood as soon as he reached the Batcave, Batman sat in his chair, waiting for the results to come back. The computer beeped before it showed a picture of Dick, Batman sighed sadly and turned his head away.
"Dick," Batman whispered.
Hearing something in the cave behind him, Batman swung round in his chair to face the noise, Catwoman was stood just out of the shadows staring at him. She had a sad expression across her face, as she walked closer to Batman.
"I lost him, he went into the sewers and I ended up lost," Catwoman replied, Batman nodded slowly.
Smiling gently for a moment, Batman cursed himself for training the boy so well. If the boy wasn't training as well as he was, being able to capture him would be a lot easier then it currently was.
"I need to find him, he already is in a bad state," Batman told Catwoman.
"I know, we will find him. Rest for today and we will try again tomorrow," Selina ordered, resting her hand on his shoulder in order to calm Batman.
Leaving the Batcave, Selina left so bad for lying to him, but she knew that it was for the best. Silently Catwoman returned to the lab, entering the lab, he found it hard to see Dick connected to all these different tubes, pumping all sorts of drugs into him and seeing him strapped down to a table unable to do anything. When Catwoman walked in, she pulled back her mask and looked down at Dick, he was fast asleep. Every now and then he would try to move because of some he was dreaming about. There was nothing about him sleeping was peaceful, but as the night went on he seemed to settle and fell into a deep, deep sleep. Not leaving his side, Selina stayed directly at his side not leaving for anything. Doctors and Nurses came and went but never did she leave his side. He needed someone he knew to be by his side when he woke, she was the next best thing after Bruce and Alfred, so she would have to do.
