Right, I feel that Prussia isn't in this chapter enough so he is going to do the talking today, take it away Gil.
"Danke. Hutchhy has only just noticed that the British Isle brothers and Portugal are OCS technically (what ever that means)and that she didn't really think of that as they are all countries and apologies if you don't like OCS and that she also doesn't care."
Don't be rude Gil.
"I am awesome, so awesome that I am never rude. You are rude for not updating this awesomeness sooner. Ja I know it's not really your fault and that Rosey is busy and you don't trust your spelling skills and grammar, but you have to stick to your plans."
I don't have a date planned when updating, I just update when I am done.
"What ever, anyway here is the next chapter and it starts with Hong Kong and China. Just so you all know Birdie is here with me, just can't speak but says that I am awesome and that he thinks I am sexy"
*gets hit round the head*
"Kesesese, chill out Birdie I was just kidding. Hutcchy is also sorry about North and that things arent going to get better soon. Also she doesn't own Hetalia. I have no idea what that is... Enjoy~"
"Aiya, they just keep on coming, aru!"
"Hold them off for, like, just a little bit longer, Teacher . Use the guns we found."
"We are not going to kill these people, aru, they are only doing their job, though a bit too well it seems."
"Not really, we did, like, manage to sneak in here and I didn't mean to use it to kill anyone, I just meant to shoot them in the leg or something like that. You think of something, I'm kind of, like, busy!" the teen yelled over the noise of the ongoing fight.
Yao was too busy preventing the onslaught of guards from entering the room to reply. His moves mainly consisted of quick dodges and counter attacks, though his tactics would soon have to change as guns were coming into play. Regrettably, the Chinese nation started to fire at the approaching guards' feet. A single shot was not enough to halt some of them, however, as they continued to fire at the nations from their place on the ground. Using their decreased mobility to his advantage, China then took out the wounded soldiers by hitting their pressure points so they lost consciousness.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong was working furiously to try to stop the next wave of missiles that were aimed at the next country, growing more and more frantic internally with every second that passed.
"Leon! Connor's stats have gone haywire, has this got anything to do with why you're in Asia? Something happened to Mum at the same time, though just his head. Do you know who attacked Northern Ireland?" New Zealand's panicked voice resonated through the earpiece Hong Kong was wearing, words spilling from the Oceanic nation like a waterfall.
Screaming internally, Leon tried to focus on what his 'brother' was saying to him, whilst still trying to hack the computer. There were too many things going on, he had already blocked whatever China was doing out of his mind *but it still wasn't enough.
"I know, I'm, like, in Japan trying to halt the rest of the missiles. Where is uncle Pat, is he, like, back yet?"
"Missiles? Er no, he isn't, why? Do you need to speak with him?"
"No, I need you to, like, warn him that I don't think I can stop the attack that's aimed at him. I'll keep, like, trying to stop it, but every time I get close to solving the code, it, like, changes again. I, like, need some key thing, the one I have isn't, like, high enough." The teen was now really just voicing his thoughts to help himself make sense of them. Also, that way New Zealand could hear them as well and was able to provide input - the Oceanic was good at thinking under pressure once he had an idea as to what was happening.
This was quickly confirmed as New Zealand replied, "You said you're in Japan, so if you need to find a key from someone high up, I suggest that you find either Japan or his boss. Japan might be better to go after as he is possessed by the sound of things. You can subdue him for when either mum or his brothers get there."
The New Zealander's calm tone relaxed Hong Kong by a fraction, enough for him to let what he had just been told sink in. It seemed obvious to him now to go after Japan, but that would mean abandoning his task. If he stopped now, missiles would land on Ireland, he would have to find Japan, not knowing if he was even in the building, and still fight off the guards, but if he stayed, China would have to keep fighting alone. Although the nation was now a superpower, he was still old and it caused Hong Kong to worry, not that he would admit it. There was also no guarantee that he could stop the attack from where he was.
"Teacher we have to, like, find Japan!"
"Do you know where he is, aru?"
"No, but I think I know a way to find out.
"New Zealand," he addressed his 'brother'.
"Yeah?" The Oceanic nation didn't question the lack of his human name, as he knew Hong Kong was serious.
"Can you use the earpiece as, like, a connection point to scan the building? See how many people are in the buildings and, like, see where Japan is by -"
"-The difference in body temperature as nations have a higher body temperature? I'm already on it. Assuming that the two nations together are China and yourself, Japan is two floors up, in room 22b.
"I have also alerted the Irish government that they are at a high risk of being attacked, they are organising the country's defences as we speak. I'm just about to let the UK's government know so they can also prepare."
The only thing Hong Kong was able to do in response was blink. It was at times like these that he was truly thankful that England had taught them how to use the equipment in his house and had run different scenarios with them as they were growing up.
Knowing that time was against them, Hong Kong abandoned his current task and, after digging around in his rucksack, pulled out some items. Lighting a match, the teenager grabbed hold of China's arm and dashed forward, dropping both a smoke bomb and a set of firecrackers as he went.
Smoke tumbled into small room, making it almost impossible to see, and continued to fill up the narrow corridor. All the guards ducked for cover at the sound of the explosions, thinking that they were under fire. By the time they all realised that the sounds weren't actually gun fire, it was too late.
Hong Kong manoeuvred easily through the cloud of smoke, China right on his heels. It was a skill he'd picked up over the years due to the sheer number of experiments that he'd done with fireworks, not all of them had left the house tidy. If necessary he could use the goggles he'd packed in his bag just in case but he didn't need them, he felt proud of his developed skill.
Feeling quite proud that his tactic had worked, a small, hardly noticeable smile tugged at Leon's lips. It quickly evaporated though when he heard the shouting of the guards, saying that the intruders had escaped.
Quickening his pace, the teenager sprinted down the corridor, raiding his memory for the quickest route to the stairs. Remembering at the last, Hong Kong swerved round a corner and China, reacting slightly too late, skidded past the turning, before pivoting round on his foot.
The elder nation fired multiple rounds at the oncoming guards behind them, aiming to slow them down, only to find that he had run out of ammunition. Cursing to himself, China threw the gun, hitting a guard in the head. Finding the 'donk' noise the gun made on contact comical, Yao suppressed a laugh as he followed Leon down the corridor.
Knowing that there was most likely an ambush waiting for them in the staircase, Hong Kong took out yet another smoke bomb and some more firecrackers from his bag and raised his fist in the air so China could see. Hearing the footsteps behind him come to a halt, Leon tossed an item back to the older nation and pointed to his right. Upon hearing the footsteps pick up again, Leon kicked the door leading to the stairs open and threw in the smoke bomb and fire crackers.
He then quickly slammed the door shut and dashed to where he'd told China to go, grinning to himself at the sound of gunfire which signalled that those waiting for them had fallen for his distraction.
Coming to an open window, Hong Kong wasted no time in slipping on a glove and stepping on to the frame. Looking up, the teenager spotted China hanging on to the wall with one gloved hand, his other, bare one outstretched towards Hong Kong.
Pressing down on the bottom of the glove, satisfied when there was a faint humming noise and a green light turned on, Leon jumped.
Grabbing hold of the younger nation's hand, China began to swing Hong Kong back and forth, gaining momentum. Aiding his teacher, Hong Kong ran along the wall in time with China's swings. Having picked up enough momentum, China swung the teenager in a full circle. At the peak of the arch, Leon slammed his gloved hand on to the wall just as Yao let go. Using the same momentum Yao had used to swing him in an arch, Leon did the same. Similarly, Leon let go of the wall as Yao's hand stuck to the wall, and, continuing the process, the pair made their way up two floors.
Reaching the window, China heaved Hong Kong up so they could open it and get inside. They were now on the fourth floor of the eight storey building, (the part the pair had previously snuck into was an annexe, only two storeys high), only a few doors away from their target.
Being informed of the room number, Yao opened the window and crawled in silently, using ancient Chinese secret. He took a brief moment to regain his breath, before scouting ahead to see if the coast was clear.
The older nation was quick to return, seeming to have caught a break for once, there were no guards in sight - they must have fled to where the alarm had originated from earlier. Pleased with this new turn of events, Hong Kong crawled through the window and started to walk cautiously through the corridor, looking at the numbers on the doors.
Reaching number twenty-two, the teenager paused and pressed his ear against the door. Holding his breath, Leon tried to determine if anyone was in the room, knowing that they actually needed to get through this one, to the room on the other side.
Hearing nothing, Hong Kong opened the door gingerly. With Yao close behind, Leon soundlessly entered the room and approached the door on the other side, his heart in his throat.
He was going to have to fight Japan.
It wasn't Japan fault, he wasn't in control. He would have to fight the nation and possibly hurt the nation due to no fault of his own.
Japan was also a very skilled fighter, one Hong Kong wasn't all that confident in going up against.
"I will go in first, aru. I will keep him occupied and you can take him when he is not expecting it, aru. Don't worry, it won't be Japan fighting, it will be the ghost. He won't be that skilled of a fighter, aru."
Before Hong Kong could say a word, China burst into the next room and charged at the possessed nation, whose usually chocolate eyes were overcome with a light blue.
Unexpectedly, the nation was already stood in a defensive stance, wielding a katana. However, although the nation was holding the sword like someone who had experience in fighting that way, they didn't seem accustomed with a katana.
China ran at the other nation, jumping to the side at the last moment to avoid a sword getting embedded in his shoulder. The possessed nation hesitated for a split second, surprised at how quickly the old nation could move.
Taking advantage of the other's momentary pause, China sweep kicked Japan's feet, causing the other to nearly fall over but the possessed nation brought himself out of his shock and caught himself. No longer underestimating the Chinese nation, Japan's attacks became faster, but at the price of his precision. China danced around the blade, his face neutral.
Seeing that his teacher had everything under control, Hong Kong sneaked into the room, wary that there could be extra guards, though, luckily, they appeared to be alone. Maybe the ghost was a bit too confident in his abilities and didn't feel the need for extra help, still, the teenager stayed alert.
While the possessed nation was distracted, Leon rummaged through his bag once again. Finding the item he required, Hong Kong kept a close eye on the fight taking place before him, waiting for his moment.
There!
China slid Japan's legs and sprung to his feet behind the possessed nation. Before the other knew what was happening, China had him in a choke hold. The elder nation then kicked the Japanese nation's legs apart, causing the captured nation to jolt forward a bit, giving Hong Kong a clear shot of his neck. The teen promptly fired his dart gun.
The sedative took immediate effect. Japan's eyes went wide for a split second before they clouded over and the Japanese nation's muscles went limp, China being the only thing that stopped him from falling over.
After placing Japan carefully on the ground, China watched the teenager carefully. "What did you inject him with, aru?"
"A strong sedative, it can be, like, dangerous to humans but is fine for nations. Apparently Uncle Alistair got, like, captured with his group when he was with the SAS not that long ago, and they, like, used this drug to control them. It, like, killed a few of them, but, like, made the rest sleep for about a week, Scotland a day.
"When he escaped later, he brought the drug with him and experimented with it. He, like, deemed it safe and kept it aside in case we, like, needed it, like now."
"You are telling me that Opium causally has drugs that can knock out a nation for a day in his house, aru?"
"They are, like, all locked up and difficult to get to. I have to scan my thumb and eyes to, like, get hold of it."
Seeing the unease (to put it very lightly) that the Chinese nation was feeling, Hong Kong tried dig himself out of his own grave. "It doesn't do anything to the nation's people, it, like, works the same as what people have at hospitals and stuff."
China studied the younger nation's face closely for what felt like a century to Hong Kong. Eventually he responded, "I will have to speak to Opium about this later, aru."
Yao then pulled back, looking as if he was in deep thought, and Leon tensed, not liking the whispery tone the other just spoke in. He may have just got England into a lot of trouble, especially if the other countries found out about this.
"You should get started in stopping those missiles, aru. I will find a way to defend this room, I might have to talk to Japan's boss, aru."
"There are, like, some gadgets in my bag if you could just activate them. Go to Japan's boss and see if you can, like, stop a war between the UK and Japan," Hong Kong instructed glumly, knowing full well that was a very likely outcome, and if they went to war, who would follow?
There had been several times that England really disliked his inability to speak, mainly when he wanted to yell at someone for being an idiot, but right now he felt like tearing his own house down, which would be quite a feat seeing as he was currently in Spain.
With Scotland tending to Northern Ireland, there was no one present who could read British sign language. He needed to talk to his boss as soon as possible and was thundering down the corridor looking for a way to communicate, with an anxious ghost following him.
Due to Alistair caring for Connor, the Prussian had taken it upon himself to treat Arthur, only to be waved off. Canada was busy making tea for the Brit, hoping it would help calm him down, and Spain was still cooking as they would now need food to recover. The others who had just returned were helping Scotland, in setting up a room for North to recover in.
So when Wales appeared with Romania from whatever they were previously doing, England almost dived at the other blonde. Romania smiled at the display, not knowing why the Englishman practically threw himself at his brother, Prussia would probably be joining him if he was also unaware.
"Calm down brawd, what's wrong?" Wales spoke quietly, gently pushing his brother's shoulders away so he could see England's hands. England preferred to use sign language rather than mouthing words, as some words tended to look the same. Plus, when in this state, the Englishman would speak quickly, often making it difficult to understand him.
Prussia was about to speak for England, when the Englishman started to sign to Wales, his hands becoming a blur. Prussia didn't know that hands could move that fast, but what amazed the albino, was that Wales was able to keep up. At first, Gilbert thought the Welshman was just pretending to understand, but Dylan was reacting to Arthur.
"So you want me to talk to our boss and you think the attack was from a nation that is possessed? One that we missed?"
When he received a desperate nod from his brother, the Welshman sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. Just when he thought everything was nearly over, this had to come up.
"You want me to tell him to not retaliate as of yet? Agh, I hate talking to him, there is a reason we let you handle most of the business for the UK, brawd."
Prussia didn't have to be able to understand sign language to know what England was thinking. The smaller blonde crossed his arm, shifting his weight to one side slightly and rolled his eyes, 'Yes, I know'.
"Fine, just because you can't talk, who knew it would be such a problem," the older Briton teased, trying to distract the younger for a moment. It was better if England was angry at the thought of a possible war, as he would usually just yell a lot of profanities and smash a few things. If not, the nation could have a panic attack, which was mainly due to the thought of seeing lots of new ghosts.
He wasn't the only one really, all the brothers were like it, there was a reason why the world thought the British Isles brothers had bad tempers. Having North injured only made matters worse, but at least there were other people around. People were a good distraction.
Receiving a punch in the arm, Dylan took that as a good sign, and went in search of Spain's phone. He didn't need to worry about his brother as he had two people with him who could both talk the hind legs of a donkey if they wanted to. He'd got a message from New Zealand earlier that Ireland was on his way back anyway, he would be there in an hour at the most.
Romania watched his friend curiously, something had obviously shaken the Englishman, seeing how easily Wales had given in to talking to the Prime Minister. The Welshman never liked talking to him as he was always mistaking Wales for England. The Romanian would help for now, but he did need to leave soon, as did most of the other nations. Most of the nations helping out the brothers had made plans to leave after the feast once Ireland got back. As far as Romania was aware, it was only Canada and Portugal who were going to stay: Portugal for his brother and Canada for England, though also because he was avoiding America who kept texting him complaining about Justin Beiber.
Romania watched as England cocked his head to the side, looking somewhat puzzled and turned to Prussia. With England's back to him, Romania couldn't quite make out what the Englishman was miming to the Prussian, apparently Prussia was having a bit of difficultly as he guessed wrong and received a kick in the shin.
Intrigued by what the Englishman was trying to say, Romania walked round so he was stood beside the ghost. It was funny watching England try to communicate with Prussia, he was moving slowly with an expression that gave the impression that he thought Prussia was an idiot; which was probably right.
"Ok, you just got a call from New Zealand?" Prussia guessed, his voice going slightly higher as he said the county's name, he was the only country the albino could think of that would call the Englishman, but due to the kick he had just received he wasn't fully confident in his answer. Not feeling any sort of pain caused by an Englishman, the Prussian continued, now feeling a bit more confident in his answer, "You need to get to a computer so you can talk to him. Why not just text him, birdie? You still have your phone on you."
"I think Anglia wants to use Skype, that way he can sign to Noua Zeelanda." Romania grinned smugly as England put his index finger on his nose, smiling, and pointed at Romania with his other hand, 'Spot on.'
With a roll of his eyes, Prussia grabbed hold of the angel and threw him over his shoulder, laughing all the while as England silently ranted but put up little resistance. Romania smiled and followed as Prussia walked down the corridor to where he knew Spain kept the computer.
"You are not fighting as much as I thought you would Anglia," the strawberry blonde commented, chuckling at his friend's expression, he looked like someone who had given up with all the shit he had to put up with and was just going to go with the flow. He only chuckled louder when Arthur gave him the middle finger.
Arriving at their destination, Gilbert walked over to the computer, Arthur still thrown over his shoulder, and logged into Skype. It didn't take long for New Zealand to answer, fighting to hold back a smile when he saw the state of his Mum.
"Glad that you could get hold of a computer Mum, I'm assuming that Prussia is holding you as he doesn't show up on the screen."
'Yes, the arsehole thought that he should carry me, despite still being injured. I bet he is in pain but is too stubborn to put me down. I really can't be bothered with him anymore.'
New Zealand couldn't help himself as a small giggle escaped him. You were truly a part of the family if England just couldn't be bothered to react to whatever crap you did to wind him up.
"I just thought I should let you know what's going on."
'That would be nice, I don't really like my family being under attack and having no idea why.'
"I have no idea what you just signed Anglia, but I know there was sarcasm. I feel like I am imposing, so I will be off and find something very interesting to stare at." Romania grinned to himself as he left the room, only for Prussia to laugh when they heard a very dramatic, "Oh look at that!" from outside.
"Kesesese, he can be awesome when he wants to."
Arthur nodded his head in approval before his attention went back to the screen, he then gestured with his hand for the Oceanic nation to continue. Taking his cue, New Zealand cleared his throat and carried on, ignoring the fact that it still looked like his Mum was floating.
"Ok. Well, Hong Kong is currently in Japan, who is responsible for launching the missiles. He is attempting to stop them before they hit the next target, being Uncle Pat, but doesn't think that he has much of a chance. He and China are working to detain Japan and find a key that will allow him higher access and so he can hopefully stop the next attack.
"I have contacted Ireland's boss and he has put the country on high alert, preparing the country for a possible attack. I have also done the same to your government and I am trying to minimise the media coverage of the attack on Northern Ireland. You don't really need other countries trying to get involved at the moment, America for example.
"Whoever is possessing Japan, is out for you, Mum, they must know that with you out of the way, there isn't really anyone that can stop them. Be careful." The younger nation spoke confidently as if he was delivering a news report, but it all changed at the last sentence, it was spoken so softly, that England nearly didn't hear it.
New Zealand was scared and England couldn't blame him, he knew that if a war broke out, he was going to get involved somehow. If the UK fell, some other counties would declare war, England didn't know exactly who and would deny it, but that didn't stop the truth. World War Three was likely to break out.
'I will poppet, don't worry, I am not alone.'
"I know Mum, I will see you soon. Also, just to let you know, Jack has just got on a flight and will be arriving in Spain in the early hours of the morning."
'Thank you James, you are doing such a good job at this. It is actually a bit scary how good'. The Englishman laughed, relaxing when he saw the younger nation do the same. It didn't stay that way for long though, as soon as New Zealand said his goodbyes and logged off, the angel rolled off his friend's shoulder and headed for his brothers. Prussia hurriedly followed him, trying to gain his attention, only to be ignored. England was currently a man on a mission and was not going to be stopped.
Entering the room that was set up for North as he got better, England startled the occupants. Sensing the mood that England was in, Portugal motioned for the others to leave so it was just the British Isles brothers in the room. France hesitated, before he too followed, but not without placing a hand on the Englishman's shoulder, a silent gestured to say that he would be there for him.
Wasting no time, England started to explain what New Zealand had just told him. Wales retold everything to North as, even though the nation's eyes were closed, he was still conscious. The brothers were silent, as England explained, apart from Wales, all of them feeling uneasy, especially Ireland, who had just returned.
"Ye are not goin' ta Japan Bunny, ye still can't speak and ye need that for spells," Scotland argued, he had had enough of seeing England get hurt, and the blonde was still injured for that matter. He only had to look at his smallest brother's face and see the burn marks to remind him that he hadn't protected the angel.
'You need to stay here and look after Connor and possibly Patrick. Patrick can't go as he is likely to be attacked. I haven't done anything for a few days while you have been out fighting, I am not going to stand on the side lines.'
"Ye were staying 'ere for a reason Albion, Dylan is perfectly capable of going." Alistair could feel his anger growing, it wasn't like he didn't care for the safety of Wales, it was just that with England's inability to speak he was really worried about him.
It seemed that Arthur's anger had also spiked as he was signing at such speed that it was difficult for the others to follow. It was particularly difficult for Ireland. "Sasanna, please slow down, I can't understand what you are saying."
With an irritated sigh, England began to sign again, this time slower. 'I am the United Kingdom and I am not going to stand by while I am getting attacked. I am responsible for what happens to this country and it is my duty as a nation to stop any threat.'
"Aye, but it is also because ye are the United Kingdom that if any of us, apart from Pat, gets attacked ye are going to feel it!"
'I know that, and it is also because I am the United Kingdom, I will not become completely immobilised if England is attacked. I will still be able to stand as long as one of you is still standing.'
"Artie's dark side is the same as the dark energy which binds countries to ghosts. Whatever is in him must be fucking behind the daggers," North's weak voice reached the brothers, causing England's blood to run cold, as it always did whenever his dark side was mentioned.
"Connor?" Wales asked gently, hoping to get the youngest to carry on explaining. His freckled face was still scrunched up in pain, but he forced himself to open his eyes, his breathing coming in painful wheezes.
"I felt it when I was with Artie. Whatever takes over him has the exact same energy signature as the ones in the blades. Dylan has to go with Artie. The ghost will be too strong for just Dylan to fight as the others are going home in the morning, and Artie needs someone to do the unbinding as Gil can't."
Prussia was impressed, even though the young country was in immense pain, he was able to think more clearly than his brothers. There was a good head on those shoulders.
"Mathew should come with us as the kid has got the most rest out of those that are here and isn't planning on going back yet... Leon is in Japan and will probably help Matt protect your bodies, and I will help you with mein awesomeness of course."
The Prussian's voice caused the brothers to jump as they had completely forgotten the ghost was even there but, as the albino's words started to sink in, the room once again fell into silence as the brothers contemplated the idea. North didn't seem to care about the decision as he shut his eyes again and rolled to his side, groaning.
'I look forward to fighting with you again dear Brother, no singing in Welsh though. If you are going to sing, sing a song I can join in with.'
"I will if you don't forget anything and bake some cakes for the journey there."
"Ugh, Limey's cooking."
"Sasanna's cakes are nice, they don't make you sick. He used to feed them to his cat which he took off the streets and spoilt the thing."
'You don't need to tell the git that.'
"I still don't like ye going Albion, but ye will need ta eat somethin' before ye go. Don't want all of Spain's cooking ta go ta waste do we?"
"You were right, there was not enough of mein awesomeness. Poor Leon, the kid has got a lot on his plate, well most of us do...
Just to clear things up, Arthur would be extremely weak if England got attacked, but will still have just enough strength to stay standing if his bruders are ok. Barley, he wont be able to do anything other than stand and a evil glare.
I can understand the Limey pretty well but sometimes mein awesomeness weakens from time to time. It takes up alot of energy to be this awesome all the time. Gut thing that Vlad understands Birdie pretty well.
Errr i think that is it, so peace out losers and leave a review if you don't want me to attack your vital regions, or if you do. I'm not one to judge, I'm freunde with Francis who is kinky as frick."
