When I woke up and felt around the bed, there was no vampire next to me. I supposed he went out for whatever it is vampires go out for when they live in Sunnydale. Laying the bed I was deciding what I wanted to do, get up? Or go back to sleep? The second one was slowly winning over but I had another vision of Drusilla.

In this one I could kind of hear the words she was screaming at me over the sight of her grinning and slowly slicing me open with her nails. The words were mostly a mixture of pretty butterflies not living for very long and something about her daddy. It gave me shivers and I was hoping to god that they were only dreams.

Standing up I took in a deep breath and became grossed out. It smelled musty and Spikeish in here, there was mix of cigarette, dirt, and dust in the air. I could sort of remember where everything was in relation to the bed and tried to blindly feel my way around for a lamp or light switch.

After a few muffled fuck's and shit's when I banged my knee or toes off of corners I finally found a lamp. Carefully I flipped what I thought was the switch. The lamp awoke and blinded me slightly as it lit the room, I happened to be leaning over the lightbulb, honestly I wasn't sure how he even got electricity here. I looked over to the hole leading to the land of the living and noticed a ladder. Perfect I wouldnt have to become an Olympian pole vaulter to get out of here.

I walked into Giles' front door, calmly. This was getting to be normal, just walk in and start conversing with the gang that I already knew was there.

"Whats up guys?" I said with my back turned as I closed the door.

"Whats up with you Vickster?" Xander yelled from the couches. I turned back around and began to walk over, stopping when I saw Spike sitting on the stairs, looking at me fondly. I looked outside through the window to make sure it was still sunlight and pointed at it then back to him, making sputtering noises.

"But how?" I finally said, much to the amusement of the vampire.

"Yeah, thats what I said when I came in too." Xander responded sadly to my sputtering and confusion. I looked back at him and he shrugged, going back to his book. Anya was next to him, she grinned at me and I raised a brow. She was acting awfully weird.

"Hello, Victoria!" Anya chirped at me, I almost wanted to take a literal step backwards and away from her. Instead I decided just to wave a little and shuffled towards the couches.

"Nice to see you up and about finally. Hope you're not too sore, luv." Spike said jokingly as a greeting, leaving the last bit to the imagination. I glared at him and then rolled my eyes, contining to walk towards the couches.

"You should really keep him on a tighter leash." Buffy mumbled as she left Riley's side to walk up to me and hugged me. I heard Spike scoff and figured it was vampire hearing again.

"Ooh. That hurt Slayer." Spike responded sarcastically. I didn't look at him, trying to ignore him.

"I'm sure it does Spike." Buffy responded starting to sound annoyed with him existing as anything but a pile of dust. I was focused on cereal. Cereal had become my main meal here and it was kinda worrying as all it was was wheat and milk. I should start taking vitamins.

"Like a bloody stake through the heart." Spike said back to her, sounding annoyed too but more of a 'lets see how much I can rile you up right now'. These two would start a fight with each other even if the world was about to end. Infact, I'm pretty sure they have at some point.

"Victoria. After you're done eating, of course, I'd like to hear about the vision you had last night. Spike told us you woke up in quite the fright." Giles' voice sounded above the two bickering old ladies as they started to really get into it. I spun around and glared daggers into Spike's forehead, he just wouldnt let it go would he? The little bastard.

He caught my gaze and shrugged, basically a "Told you i'd get you for this." shrug. I almost growled out of frustration and then stalked to the kitchen, slamming down bowls and milk cartons. I heard the bickering get louder and somone sighed behind me, probably Giles.

"Guys come on. We're all adults now, some alot older than others." I heard Willow say calmly, trying to mediate. I scoffed at this and contined to slam things shut and open as I made cereal.

"So basically, what happened was that Drusilla is coming and she knows that I know she is. She was talking to me about it in the dream." I said lazily, like the idea of Spike's nutty ex coming back for me wasn't actually all that worrying. I couldn't lie to Giles or the gang about things like that, I refused to look at Spike out of pure spite.

"Was this before, during, or after she decided to turn you into a high school biolgy experiment?" Xander asked sarcastically and I thought about it. He had been quiet after I snapped at Anya when she complimented Spike on his choice in women.

"All three. She just kept telling me that the pretty butterfly is going to be crushed." I finished in a high pitched, sing-songy voice. The entire thing reminded me of a snow white gone horribly wrong. Xander broke into a grin, most likely at the voice. I glanced at Spike, trying to be convert. His knuckles were white and the book in his hands looking like it was about to croak from the pressure. The covert didn't really work as we met eye contact and I quickly looked away. He looked pained and I wasn't sure if it was because of my description of the dream or the idea of Drusilla. Probably Drusilla.

"Well its interesting that she can speak to you over the dream itself." Giles said distractedly as he got up and searched for books or texts. I raised a brow at this.

"Yeah its great having a heart to heart with a raving lunatic." I said sarcastically while throwing my hands up in the air. I glanced at Spike from the corner of my eye, incase the lunatic comment had offended him. He expression had turned blank and now he was watching my movements, it occurred to me that he was inspecting and cataloging me, waiting for my reaction.

"You know what I meant, Victoria. Though it might be due to her sharing similar abilities with you." Giles called out as he went down the hallway, probably for more texts. As I watched him go I nodded absent-mindedly to myself mostly. Looking around, everyone had resumed each conversation. I looked down at the bowl in my hands and went to the kitchen.

I was methodically washing the bowl itself out, focusing on ever crumb there ever was in every possible way. A pair of hands with black nail polish took the bowl from me, I glared at hands and then at their owner. He wasn't looking at me though, just drying the bowl and not saying anything at all. I sighed and turned around to stomp back to the couches, away from him as another hand grabbed my elbow and stopped me from going any farther away. I could feel my right eyebrow beginning to twitch and my teeth wanting to grind together.

"I know you're mad, luv, but it was the right thing to do and you know it." Spike said quietly, attempting to not draw the room's attention back to us. So far no one had looked at us, he was doing pretty well.

"Doesn't make it okay." I grounded out, just as quiet. I felt him sigh then pull me back towards him. I slowly allowed myself to be pulled back untill I felt his chest against my back. It was hard and cold but it felt safe. His arms tightened a bit and then relaxed again, I was expecting him to let go at that point but he continued to hold me, humming. It was at this point I realized the entire room had gone silent and I immediately felt all eyes on us.

We sprang apart like the touching burned and avoided eye contact with the rest of the room. Giles continued to go on about Drusilla's multiple abilities and what he had dealt with in the past. He then went on to tell me that seer's abilites tended to bleed into other things such as a persons thoughts or their moods. Apparently its all in their head.

Way to give a girl an inferiority complex.

Buffy and I toddled on back to the house. I laid in bed, it was quiet and I could hear foot steps outside my door. The door opened and I peeked open one eye, it was Buffy. She closed the door behind her and padded to the bed with her bunny slippers and pajama pants. When she reached it, she stopped and I could feel her looking at me.

"Get in already." I said smiling with my eyes closed now, I pulled back the sheets and shifted to allow room for her to get in. She let out a quiet giggle and slid into bed. I felt her almost snuggle into my back as I was laying on my right side, facing the dresser.

It was rare that both of us were in the same room and even at the same time. At first we just laid in the dark, we were silent and honestly I thought she'd fallen asleep. The past days being hard on all of us and I figured she dealt with the brunt of the pressure as she usually had.

"Are you afraid?" She asked quietly, her breathing hadn't changed. My own hitched as I thought about the idea of being afraid and what it meant. I shook my head, not saying anything. It then ocurred to me after several minutes of silence that she couldn't actually see me in the dark.

"No. I'll be okay, Buffy. No worries." I responed easily, more easy that I felt. I had a bad feeling and I couldn't shake it off but I wasn't about to let her know that. She had enough to deal with as it was.

"Promse?" Buffy mumured sleepily into my back. I mhm'd to her and slowly fell asleep again. The dreams of Drusilla's grinning face came back around, this time she was dancing and spinning around a small body heaped on the floor.

All I could see from it was blood draining slowly from the head, there was a gash that was partly covered by blonde bloody hair. Every once in a while she'd start a new melody, kicking the body with a rhythm and bounce in her step.

I woke up from the lack of air and the heat. I squirmed and it took me a few minutes to realize that I was in another buffy-boa-constrictor grip. I wasn't sure what had her so worried lately considering she had come into my room and all. Maybe she had been having nightmares, I know I had. Though mine were a bit more on the 'coming soon to a crypt near you' type of thing than general nightmares.

It occured to me that I needed to shimmy my way out of her grip and out of the bed. I was awake and ready to go forth and seize the day..or just the pancakes that I smelled from downstairs.

I slowly slid myself down the bed, when my feet touched floor I finally pulled the covers back over my head, messing up the afro I already had going for me.

I shuffled as quietly as I could feeling the carpet under my toes, trying to be careful not to wake Buffy. The necklace Giles had given me, to 'boost' any abiliities I had, was caught in the back of my hair. I couldn't find it in me to care much as the hair strands broke when I ripped it out from my hair while trumping down the stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs I could hear people talking, one I knew was Auntie Joyce and the other sounded incredibly...british. I looked outside from the living room window, it wasn't sunny but it wasn't exactly nighttime. I looked at the time, the clock read 9 am.

This was a puzzling set of circumstances, since when was it not actually sunny in sunnydale? It was in the name for christsakes! I peeked my head around the corner, into the kitchen. Fucking Spike was here, after the springing apart yesterday I decided I really didn't want to talk to him. For a long while, I kinda just ignored him as I went on my way into the sunnyness that is general california.

I was wondering if I really wanted the pancakes anymore. I heard Buffy come down the stairs and do the samething I had with the window and clock.

"Is that Spike? In our kitchen? At 9 am?" Buffy whispered the questions, confused and almost annoyed. I nodded my head quickly, not sure what to do with this situation.

"Oh this is going to be fun." Buffy sounded more annoyed as she stepped around me and strolled into the kitchen. She did look intimidating, however she was also wearing her fuzzy sheep pajamas. It kinda took away from the total effect of scary Slayerness.

I padded in behind her, Spike stopped in the middle of his sentence amd I could feel his eyes on me. It then occured to me that I had on a string tanktop and pajama pants on. Not exactly the best outfit to have when standing in the kitchen with your cousin, aunt, and your kinda vampire boyfriend.

"You were saying Spike? Your friend was staked and then?" Auntie Joyce started again, waiting for him to continue. She was holding a spatula and looking expectantly. Buffy was already getting pancakes, and had plopped herself up on the counter.

"Right so yeah, thats why I never go near railroad tracks anymore." Spike finished quickly and sipped his tea. I raised a brow but sat down a chair away from him. I wasn't entirely accoustomed to being around the Summers family and Spike at the same time, while wearing my pajamas.

"Thats so awful. I'm sorry to hear your friend was killed, Spike." Auntie Joyce responded jovially, turning back to flip a pancake.

"You should eat something, pet." Spike said, looking over his cup at me. I shrugged and was about to speak when Buffy decided to jump in.

"She'll eat when she wants too, Spike. Lay off." Buffy came out cold and finished off like a artic wind. She stopped eating and was now glaring at Spike. The cup had stopped at his lips and his shoulders had locked up.

"Bugger off, Slayer." Spikes voice was low and quiet but rang with a warning and all that Buffy got was that she decided to mouth 'this isn't over' as Auntie Joyce turned back around to stack some more pancakes up on the plate. I sighed as I began to pick apart one of the top pancakes. I felt Spikes hand land on my thigh and I jumped up from the chair. He was smirking and Buffy was glaring, Auntie Joyce just looked worried.

"Sweetie are you alright?" Auntie Joyce asked me sounding more concerned looking between me and the chair which I had now put some pretty good distance between. I nodded quickly, trying to calm myself down.

"All good. Just thought I saw a spider." I said as I made a show of looking all around the chair before I sat back down.

"So anyways, Vicky, onto the subject of your party!" Buffy said sounding very excited about the prospect. I sighed and continued to pick apart pancakes, this time keeping an eyeout for any wondering hands that weren't my own.

"What about it?" I asked sullenly, she rolled her eyes and then Auntie Joyce jumped in on the ride. I sunk further into the seat, hoping to disappear from this sitation entirely.

"Well do you want a surprise party? Or a themed one? And where would you want it at?" Buffy asked all the questions quickly and I wanted to hit my head off a counter. Sure she hates parties for herself, but one for someone else? Of course she's all into it, well her and Willow.

"I feel like a surprise party isn't that much of a surprise anymore when the surpriseé knows its happening, Buff." I only said this and proceded to stuff my face, hoping to avoid anymore questions about parties.

"Oh! We should have a surprise one here, you can invite all your friends and maybe even a guy or two. I promise I'll stay out of the house. " Auntie Joyce was excited now, and winked at both Buffy and I when she talked about a guy. As if Spike or Xander or weren't guys, we were in university for christsakes. I knew she meant well but frankly I didn't want to see Spike have to play nice with another guy thats meant for me at a party. He didn't play well just by himself already.

"Thats a great idea, mom! I think Xander's bringing some friends, who she might just like." Buffy had hopped off the counter and walked over to me I could feel my face paleing and the blood rushing to my feet. I didn't want to look over at Spike as Buffy nudged me and winked. Auntie Joyce found this all great and wonderful. I just shook my head sighing, couldn't say no now.
