Reyna and Hazel insisted on it, and they got it, a party commemorating Nico's heroism in facing and defeating the Weeping Angels, and their new friends. Of course, since Nico was the guest of honor, there was no getting out of attending it, but, even though he refused to admit it, he was thoroughly enjoying himself. Hazel even surprised him by showing up with Scipio, Riccio, and Mosca. Mosca hung around Percy a lot, the two talking about the sea and the possible locations of Mosca's father, while Riccio mingled with the party, and Scipio would lurk in the shadows with Nico. Scipio did laugh when he saw the decorating of the Hades cabin, even more so when Nico turned down every single one of his outrageous ideas, especially anything that involved neon colors, balloons, and clowns. Lucy eventually found them, still passing crazy ideas back and forth. Her own ideas were much more welcome, and sensible, that Nico began considering using her ideas. They continued to talk until Hazel arrived and shooed them back to the party, finally getting to enjoy themselves long into the night.
A tall, dark man cloaked in shadow watched the festivities unfurl around his target. Though the boy didn't smile much, the tall man knew he was enjoying himself. A bit too much, he thought. "Ah well, let him have his fun now, it will be easier to break him, and to make him my darkling prince." He smiled as he glanced at the moon. "It won't be long now, the barriers will break, and I will rule their sleep. Enjoy what little protection you have left, children, I will return, and your world will be full of nightmares." Cackling, the tall man slithered away into the darkness, black sand following in his wake.
The Doctor found him, standing in front of the baby room. "What have you got for me?"
He shrugged, "Depends on what you want to tackle next." The Doctor glanced at the babies, they were quiet, all sound asleep, but one caught his attention.
He glanced at his companion, "Matthew, why are we meeting here?"
Matthew shrugged, "Why do you think?"
The Doctor pointed at the baby his eyes were drawn to, "That's him, isn't it?"
Matthew grinned, "Yup, sorry about that."
"About what?"
"Telling you that his name meant Conqueror of Angels, it's actually Victory of the Angels."
"Oh, but you were still right about him."
"Of course I was right about him, I know a lot about him."
"Why?"
"Because we need him for Antillia, we have a very special place set up for him and all his friends and family."
"What about the Narnians and their friends? Do they have a place on Antillia?"
"Of course they do, they're just as important. They're his friends now, too, ya know"
"Right, and the Germans?"
"We'll be picking them up not long after you leave. How else could he get to Antillia if we weren't in the area?"
"Right, so, you know he shadow-travels?"
"Uh, yeah, didn't I just say I know a lot about him?"
"Yes, but about the piranhas?"
"You wanna take care of them next?"
The Doctor sighed, "Alright, I guess I can. Where am I going?"
"You're going to start in England and make your way to California, they're interested in a house situated in a hot spot for time-travel."
"A perfect place for them. And how come I've never heard of this house until now?"
"Because we just found out about it, and as for you picking up a signal yourself, it isn't a very strong signal, the house kinda protects it," shrugged Matthew.
The Doctor sighed, "You're impossible."
"I've heard the same about you. Here, the coordinates for your first pick-up," Matthew grinned, handing the Doctor a piece of paper.
"Good, thank you. What about the boy?"
"We'll be looking after him, and the others, from here on out. Don't worry, we are ready for anything and everything."
"Good, because that warning he got . . ."
"We already know, we got it too. We've got his back, and are preparing right now for it. We're sending in a couple of boys to analyse the situation before we send in the cavalry."
"Good, take care of them. I'll see you around."
"Right, see ya around, Doc. Good luck!" The Doctor waved as he walked away. Matthew waited until he left before walking through the glass separating the babies from the hall. He glanced down at the baby they had been talking about before leaning over and picking him up. The baby's dark eyes were open, watching everything. Matthew smiled, "No, you won't remember me, you won't remember any of this, for a long time. But I can help." He kissed the baby's forehead, a blue star-like mark appearing on his forehead for a little bit before disappearing completely. "When you remember this song, you'll remember everything. Sorry to break the rules, but you're going to need to remember everything." Matthew then hummed a song and put the sleeping baby back into his crib, before disappearing in a burst of blue light.
