Yuzu was humming as she was cooking dinner for her and Kensei. It has been five years, and it has been a little difficult for Yuzu and Kensei, if she was completely honest. After the whole Aizen ordeal, they decided that they would go slow as they get everything in order. Yuzu decided to get a degree in nursing to help out her dad at the clinic. Though, she has to talk about taking over the clinic with her dad because she did not want to be a doctor as well. Her brother is more qualified and seems to help treat patients.
After everything calmed down, Kensei got a letter from the army to help train troops and that he would be posted in North Korea. Yuzu cried and begged Kensei to not go. Though Kensei did not really want to go and leave Yuzu, he decided to go help. Yuzu was upset because her period was late and she was freaking out wondering if she was pregnant. She has to admit, she is happy that she wasn't. She did not think she could have handled it if she was.
After Kensei left, Yuzu immersed herself into work at SMC. She was fortunate to be in the same department as Kensei (It was the same situation with Karin and Nanao and their respective boyfriends). Though, she was becoming more worried and depressed. She kept having nightmares that she would get the news that Kensei would be dead.
It was six months after Kensei was enlisted, that he returned home. She was on the couch having cried her self to sleep when Kensei came home. When Kensei woke her up, they were both ecstatic. It turned out that Kensei managed to convince the higher ups to let him quit and go back home.
"You know, it would be better if my lovely little wife would come and sit down to rest instead of cooking" Kensei said. That's right, they got married last year Yuzu is eight months pregnant with their first child. Kensei would love it if his little wife would be saving her energy and rest before the child is born.
"Kensei, I am nearly done, so I will sit down then and no, I will not let you finish cooking, so don't you dare give me that look." Yuzu said with a smile, happy that she has practically became immune to his looks.
"Yuzu, I am telling you to rest now because I am not gonna let you rest at all later" Kensei said as he gave her a hungry look. Well, she was immune to the majority of his looks. Just not the ones when it comes to getting it on in the bedroom.
"How bout this Kensei, I finish making this, then we finish what was started this morning" Yuzu said with a smile.
"Sure thing dear. Just so we are clear, if you give birth to a girl, you both are not gonna leave my sight. I have enough trouble-keeping boys away from you as it is. I don't need anymore trouble with those stupid hormonal boys," Kensei said as he walked away. All Yuzu could do at that moment was blush and continue cooking. All she can say that she can't wait to get into the bedroom and she prays for the boys that might be dating any daughters she has, if she has any.
